ואעלני להיכלא ומשח ית איליא שית אמין פותיא מכא ושית אמין פותיא מכא פותיא דמשכנא:
dmshkna pwthya mka pwthya amyn wshyth mka pwthya amyn shyth aylya yth wmshkh lhykla waelny
He brought me to the nave and measured the posts, six cubits wide on the one side and six cubits wide on the other side, which was the width of the tent.

ופותיא דתרעא עסר אמין וכתפי תרעא חמש אמין מכא וחמש אמין מכא ומשח אורכיה ארבעין אמין ופותיא עסרין אמין:
amyn esryn wpwthya amyn arbeyn awrkyh wmshkh mka amyn wkhmsh mka amyn khmsh threa wkthpy amyn esr dthrea wpwthya
The width of the entrance was ten cubits, and the sides of the entrance were five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side. He measured its length, forty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits.

ועל לגיו ומשח אילא דתרעא תרתין אמין ותרעא שית אמין ופותיא דתרעא שבע אמין:
amyn shbe dthrea wpwthya amyn shyth wthrea amyn thrthyn dthrea ayla wmshkh lgyw wel
Then he went inward and measured each post of the entrance, two cubits; and the entrance, six cubits; and the width of the entrance, seven cubits.

ומשח ית אורכיה עסרין אמין ופותיא עסרין אמין די קדם היכלא ואמר לי דין בית קודש קודשיא:
qwdshya qwdsh byth dyn ly wamr hykla qdm dy amyn esryn wpwthya amyn esryn awrkyh yth wmshkh
He measured its length, twenty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits, before the nave. He said to me, “This is the most holy place.”

ומשח כותלא דביתא שית אמין ופותיא דמחיצתא ארבע אמין סחור סחור מקף לביתא סחור סחור:
skhwr skhwr lbytha mqp skhwr skhwr amyn arbe dmkhytstha wpwthya amyn shyth dbytha kwthla wmshkh
Then he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; and the width of every side room, four cubits, all around the house on every side.

ומחיציא מחיצא על מחיצא תלתין ותלת חדא עסרי בסידרא קביעין בכתלא דמגיו למחיצא סחור סחור למהוי רישי שריתא ניחין על זיזא ולא יהוין שריתא מעברן בכתלי ביתא:
bytha bkthly mebrn shrytha yhwyn wla zyza el nykhyn shrytha ryshy lmhwy skhwr skhwr lmkhytsa dmgyw bkthla qbyeyn bsydra esry khda wthlth thlthyn mkhytsa el mkhytsa wmkhytsya
The side rooms were in three stories, one over another, and thirty in each story. They entered into the wall which belonged to the house for the side rooms all around, that they might be supported and not penetrate the wall of the house.

ופותיא מסבתא וסלקא לעלא לעלא מן מחיציא ארי מקפא ביתא לסלקא לעלא לעלא סחור סחור לגיו על כן פתי ביתא מלעלא וכן במסבתא סלקין מן ארעיתא לעליתא באורח מציעתא:
mtsyetha bawrkh lelytha areytha mn slqyn bmsbtha wkn mlela bytha pthy kn el lgyw skhwr skhwr lela lela lslqa bytha mqpa ary mkhytsya mn lela lela wslqa msbtha wpwthya
The side rooms were wider on the higher levels, because the walls were narrower at the higher levels. Therefore the width of the house increased upward; and so one went up from the lowest level to the highest through the middle level.

וחזית לביתא רומא סחור סחור משכללן מחיציא משחת קניא שית אמין רוח:
rwkh amyn shyth qnya mshkhth mkhytsya mshklln skhwr skhwr rwma lbytha wkhzyth
I saw also that the house had a raised base all around. The foundations of the side rooms were a full reed of six great cubits.

פותיא דכתלא דמחיצתא דלברא חמש אמין ואתר שביק בית מחיציא דלגיו:
dlgyw mkhytsya byth shbyq wathr amyn khmsh dlbra dmkhytstha dkthla pwthya
The thickness of the outer wall of the side rooms was five cubits. That which was left was the place of the side rooms that belonged to the house.

ובין לשכתא פותיא עסרין אמין סחור סחור מקיף לביתא סחור סחור:
skhwr skhwr lbytha mqyp skhwr skhwr amyn esryn pwthya lshktha wbyn
Between the rooms was a width of twenty cubits around the house on every side.

ותרעא דמחיצתא לאתר שביק תרעא חד פתיח לאורח צפונא ותרעא חד פתיח לדרומא ופותיא דאתר שביק חמש אמין סחור סחור:
skhwr skhwr amyn khmsh shbyq dathr wpwthya ldrwma pthykh khd wthrea tspwna lawrkh pthykh khd threa shbyq lathr dmkhytstha wthrea
The doors of the side rooms were toward an open area that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south. The width of the open area was five cubits all around.

ובנינא דקדם בצורתא רוח אורח מערבא פותיא שבעין אמין וכתלא דבנינא חמש אמין פותיא סחור סחור ואורכה תשעין אמין:
amyn thsheyn wawrkh skhwr skhwr pwthya amyn khmsh dbnyna wkthla amyn shbeyn pwthya merba awrkh rwkh btswrtha dqdm wbnyna
The building that was before the separate place at the side toward the west was seventy cubits wide; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, and its length ninety cubits.

ומשח ית ביתא אורכא מאה אמין ובצורתא ובנינא וכתליא אורכא מאה אמין:
amyn mah awrka wkthlya wbnyna wbtswrtha amyn mah awrka bytha yth wmshkh
So he measured the temple, one hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with its walls, one hundred cubits long;

ופותיא דקדם ביתא ובצורתא למדינחא מאה אמין:
amyn mah lmdynkha wbtswrtha bytha dqdm wpwthya
also the width of the face of the temple, and of the separate place toward the east, one hundred cubits.

ומשח אורכא דבנינא דקדם בצורתא דלאחוראה וזיויתהא מכא ומכא מאה אמין והיכלא גואה ואולמי דרתא:
drtha wawlmy gwah whykla amyn mah wmka mka wzywythha dlakhwrah btswrtha dqdm dbnyna awrka wmshkh
He measured the length of the building before the separate place which was at its back, and its galleries on the one side and on the other side, one hundred cubits from the inner temple, and the porches of the court,

ספיא וכוין סתימן ועתיקיא סחור סחור לתלתיהון לקביל ספא דחפי ניסרין דארזא סחור סחור וארעא עד כויא וכוין סתימן:
sthymn wkwyn kwya ed warea skhwr skhwr darza nysryn dkhpy spa lqbyl lthlthyhwn skhwr skhwr wethyqya sthymn wkwyn spya
the thresholds, and the closed windows, and the galleries around on their three stories, opposite the threshold, with wood ceilings all around, and from the ground up to the windows, (now the windows were covered),

עד לעלא מן תרעא ומן ביתא גואה ולברא ועל כל כותלא סחור סחור מלגיו ומלברא משחן:
mshkhn wmlbra mlgyw skhwr skhwr kwthla kl wel wlbra gwah bytha wmn threa mn lela ed
to the space above the door, even to the inner house, and outside, and by all the wall all around inside and outside, by measure.

וגליף כרובין וכותרן וכותרתא בין כרובא לכרובא ותרין אפין לכרובא:
lkrwba apyn wthryn lkrwba krwba byn wkwthrtha wkwthrn krwbyn wglyp
It was made with cherubim and palm trees. A palm tree was between cherub and cherub, and every cherub had two faces,

ואפי אנשא עביד לכותרתא מכא ואפי אריא עביד לכותרתא מכא גליף על כל ביתא סחור סחור:
skhwr skhwr bytha kl el glyp mka lkwthrtha ebyd arya wapy mka lkwthrtha ebyd ansha wapy
so that there was the face of a man toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side. It was made like this through all the house all around.

מארעא עד לעלא מתרעא כרובין וכותרן גליפן וכן לכתלא דהיכלא:
dhykla lkthla wkn glypn wkwthrn krwbyn mthrea lela ed marea
Cherubim and palm trees were made from the ground to above the door. The wall of the temple was like this.

היכלא דספוהי מרבעין ואפי בית כפורי חזויה כחיזו יקרה:
yqrh kkhyzw khzwyh kpwry byth wapy mrbeyn dspwhy hykla
The door posts of the nave were squared. As for the face of the nave, its appearance was as the appearance of the temple.

לקבל מדבחא פתורא דאעא תלת אמין רומה ואורכה תרתין אמין וזיוין ליה ואורכיה וכתלוהי דאעא ומליל עמי דין פתורא דקדם יי:
yy dqdm pthwra dyn emy wmlyl daea wkthlwhy wawrkyh lyh wzywyn amyn thrthyn wawrkh rwmh amyn thlth daea pthwra mdbkha lqbl
The altar was of wood, three cubits high, and its length two cubits. Its corners, its base, and its walls were of wood. He said to me, “This is the table that is before Yahweh.”

ותרתין דשין להיכלא ולבית כפורי:
kpwry wlbyth lhykla dshyn wthrthyn
The temple and the sanctuary had two doors.
24
ותרתין דשין אימהן לדשיא תרתין מקפן דשין תרתין לדשא חד ותרתין דשין לאוחרנתא:
lawkhrntha dshyn wthrthyn khd ldsha thrthyn dshyn mqpn thrthyn ldshya aymhn dshyn wthrthyn
The doors had two leaves each, two turning leaves: two for the one door, and two leaves for the other.

וגליף עליהון על דשי היכלא כרובין וכותרן כמא דגליף על כותליא וסקיפתא דאעא על אפי אולמא מלברא:
mlbra awlma apy el daea wsqyptha kwthlya el dglyp kma wkwthrn krwbyn hykla dshy el elyhwn wglyp
There were made on them, on the doors of the nave, cherubim and palm trees, like those made on the walls. There was a threshold of wood on the face of the porch outside.

וכוין סתימן וכותרתא מכא ומכא על כתפי אולמא ומחיצת ביתא וסקופתא:
wsqwptha bytha wmkhytsth awlma kthpy el wmka mka wkwthrtha sthymn wkwyn
There were closed windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch. This is how the side rooms of the temple and the thresholds were arranged.
