בעשרין וחמש שנין לגלותנא ברישא דשתא בעשרא לירחא בארבע עסרי שנין בתר דאתרעת קרתא בכרן יומא הדין שרת עלי רוח נבואה מן קדם יי ואעיל יתי לתמן:
lthmn ythy waeyl yy qdm mn nbwah rwkh ely shrth hdyn ywma bkrn qrtha dathreth bthr shnyn esry barbe lyrkha beshra dshtha brysha lglwthna shnyn wkhmsh beshryn
In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was struck, in the same day, Yahweh’s hand was on me, and he brought me there.

ברוח נבואה דשרת עלי מן קדם אעלני לארעא דישראל ואשריני על טור רם לחדא ועלוהי כבנין קרתא מדרומא:
mdrwma qrtha kbnyn welwhy lkhda rm Twr el washryny dyshral larea aelny qdm mn ely dshrth nbwah brwkh
In the visions of God he brought me into the land of Israel, and set me down on a very high mountain, on which was something like the frame of a city to the south.

ואעיל יתי לתמן והא גברא חזויה כחזו נחשא וחוט דכיתנא בידיה וקני משחתא והא קאים בתרעא:
bthrea qaym wha mshkhtha wqny bydyh dkythna wkhwT nkhsha kkhzw khzwyh gbra wha lthmn ythy waeyl
He brought me there; and, behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax in his hand and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.

ומליל עמי גברא בר אדם חזי בעינך ובאודנך שמע ושוי לבך לכל די אנא מחזי יתך ארי בדיל לאחזיותך אתותבתא הלכא חוי ית כל דאת חזי לבית ישראל:
yshral lbyth khzy dath kl yth khwy hlka athwthbtha lakhzywthk bdyl ary ythk mkhzy ana dy lkl lbk wshwy shme wbawdnk beynk khzy adm br gbra emy wmlyl
The man said to me, “Son of man, see with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I will show you; for you have been brought here so that I may show them to you. Declare all that you see to the house of Israel.”

והא שורא מברא לביתא סחור סחור וביד גברא קני משחתא דחד מנהון שית אמין באמתא דהיא אמה ופשך ומשח ית פותיא דבנינא קניא חד ורומא קניא חד:
khd qnya wrwma khd qnya dbnyna pwthya yth wmshkh wpshk amh dhya bamtha amyn shyth mnhwn dkhd mshkhtha qny gbra wbyd skhwr skhwr lbytha mbra shwra wha
Behold, there was a wall on the outside of the house all around, and in the man’s hand a measuring reed six cubits long, of a cubit and a hand width each. So he measured the thickness of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.

ועל לתרעא דפתיח לאורח מדינחא וסליק בדרגוהי ומשח ית ספא דתרעא קניא חד פותיא וית ספא חד קניא חד פותיא:
pwthya khd qnya khd spa wyth pwthya khd qnya dthrea spa yth wmshkh bdrgwhy wslyq mdynkha lawrkh dpthykh lthrea wel
Then he came to the gate which looks toward the east, and went up its steps. He measured the threshold of the gate, one reed wide; and the other threshold, one reed wide.

ותוא קניא חד אורכא וקניא חד פותיא ובין תויא כתלא חמש אמין וספא דתרעא מקביל אולמא דתרעא מלגיו קניא חד:
khd qnya mlgyw dthrea awlma mqbyl dthrea wspa amyn khmsh kthla thwya wbyn pwthya khd wqnya awrka khd qnya wthwa
Every lodge was one reed long and one reed wide. Between the lodges was five cubits. The threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate toward the house was one reed.

ומשח ית אולמא דתרעא מלגיו קניא חד:
khd qnya mlgyw dthrea awlma yth wmshkh
He measured also the porch of the gate toward the house, one reed.

ומשח ית אולמא דתרעא תמני אמין ואלוהי תרתין אמין ואולמא דתרעא מלגיו:
mlgyw dthrea wawlma amyn thrthyn walwhy amyn thmny dthrea awlma yth wmshkh
Then he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and its posts, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was toward the house.

ותוי תרעא באורח מדינחא תלתא מכא ותלתא מכא משחתא חדא לתלתיהון ומשחתא חדא לאיליא מכא ומכא:
wmka mka laylya khda wmshkhtha lthlthyhwn khda mshkhtha mka wthltha mka thltha mdynkha bawrkh threa wthwy
The side rooms of the gate eastward were three on this side, and three on that side. The three of them were of one measure. The posts had one measure on this side and on that side.

ומשח ית פותיא דמעלנא דתרעא עסר אמין אורכא דתרעא תלת עסרי אמין:
amyn esry thlth dthrea awrka amyn esr dthrea dmelna pwthya yth wmshkh
He measured the width of the opening of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits;

ותחומא די קדם תויא אמתא חדא ואמתא חדא תחומא מכא ותוא שית אמין מכא ושית אמין מכא:
mka amyn wshyth mka amyn shyth wthwa mka thkhwma khda wamtha khda amtha thwya qdm dy wthkhwma
and a border before the lodges, one cubit on this side, and a border, one cubit on that side; and the side rooms, six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side.

ומשח ית תרעא מאיגר תוא לאיגריה פותיא עסרין וחמש אמין תרע לקביל תרע:
thre lqbyl thre amyn wkhmsh esryn pwthya laygryh thwa maygr threa yth wmshkh
He measured the gate from the roof of the one side room to the roof of the other, a width of twenty-five cubits, door against door.

ועבד ית אליא שתין אמין רומהון ועל אילא דדרתא דתרעא סחור סחור:
skhwr skhwr dthrea ddrtha ayla wel rwmhwn amyn shthyn alya yth webd
He also made posts, sixty cubits; and the court reached to the posts, around the gate.
15
וקדם תרעא מציעאה די קדם אולמא דתרעא גואה חמשין אמין:
amyn khmshyn gwah dthrea awlma qdm dy mtsyeah threa wqdm
From the forefront of the gate at the entrance to the forefront of the inner porch of the gate were fifty cubits.
16
וכיין סתימן לתויא ולאיליהן מגיו לתרעא סחור סחור וכן לאולמיא וכוין סחור סחור לגיו ועל אילא כותרתא:
kwthrtha ayla wel lgyw skhwr skhwr wkwyn lawlmya wkn skhwr skhwr lthrea mgyw wlaylyhn lthwya sthymn wkyyn
There were closed windows to the side rooms, and to their posts within the gate all around, and likewise to the arches. Windows were around inward. Palm trees were on each post.

ואעלני לדרתא בריתא והא לשכן ורצפתא עביד לדרתא סחור סחור תלתין לשכן על רצפתא:
rtsptha el lshkn thlthyn skhwr skhwr ldrtha ebyd wrtsptha lshkn wha brytha ldrtha waelny
Then he brought me into the outer court. Behold, there were rooms and a pavement made for the court all around. Thirty rooms were on the pavement.

ורצפתא לעברא דתרעיא לקביל אודכא דתרעיא רצפתא ארעיתא:
areytha rtsptha dthreya awdka lqbyl dthreya lebra wrtsptha
The pavement was by the side of the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates, even the lower pavement.
19
ומשח פותיא מן קדם תרעא מציעאה דקדם דרתא גויתא מברא מאה אמין למדינחא ולצפונא:
wltspwna lmdynkha amyn mah mbra gwytha drtha dqdm mtsyeah threa qdm mn pwthya wmshkh
Then he measured the width from the forefront of the lower gate to the forefront of the inner court outside, one hundred cubits, both on the east and on the north.

ותרעא דפתיח לאורח צפונא לדרתא בריתא משח אורכיה ופותיה:
wpwthyh awrkyh mshkh brytha ldrtha tspwna lawrkh dpthykh wthrea
He measured the length and width of the gate of the outer court which faces toward the north.
21
ותווהי תלתא מכא ותלתא מכא ואילוהי ואולמוהי הות כמשחת תרעא קדמאה חמשין אמין אורכיה ופותיא עסרין וחמש אמין:
amyn wkhmsh esryn wpwthya awrkyh amyn khmshyn qdmah threa kmshkhth hwth wawlmwhy waylwhy mka wthltha mka thltha wthwwhy
The lodges of it were three on this side and three on that side. Its posts and its arches were the same as the measure of the first gate: its length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits.

וכווהי ואולמוהי וכותרתיה כמשחת תרעא דפתיח לאורח מדינחא ובדרגין שבעה סלקין ביה ואולמוהי קדמיהון:
qdmyhwn wawlmwhy byh slqyn shbeh wbdrgyn mdynkha lawrkh dpthykh threa kmshkhth wkwthrthyh wawlmwhy wkwwhy
Its windows, its arches, and its palm trees were the same as the measure of the gate which faces toward the east. They went up to it by seven steps. Its arches were before them.

ותרעא לדרתא גויתא לקביל תרעא דפתיח לצפונא ולמדינחא ומשח מתרע לתרע מאה אמין:
amyn mah lthre mthre wmshkh wlmdynkha ltspwna dpthykh threa lqbyl gwytha ldrtha wthrea
There was a gate to the inner court facing the other gate, on the north and on the east. He measured one hundred cubits from gate to gate.

ואובילני באורח דרומא והא תרעא חד פתיח לאורח דרומא ומשח אילוהי ואולמוהי כמשחתא האלין:
halyn kmshkhtha wawlmwhy aylwhy wmshkh drwma lawrkh pthykh khd threa wha drwma bawrkh wawbylny
He led me toward the south; and behold, there was a gate toward the south. He measured its posts and its arches according to these measurements.
25
וכוין ליה ולאולמוהי סחור סחור ככויא האלין חמשין אמין אורכא ופותיא עסרין וחמש אמין:
amyn wkhmsh esryn wpwthya awrka amyn khmshyn halyn kkwya skhwr skhwr wlawlmwhy lyh wkwyn
There were windows in it and in its arches all around, like the other windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits.

ודרגין שבעא דרגוהי ואולמוהי קדמיהון וכותרן ליה חדא מכא וחדא מכא על אילוהי:
aylwhy el mka wkhda mka khda lyh wkwthrn qdmyhwn wawlmwhy drgwhy shbea wdrgyn
There were seven steps to go up to it, and its arches were before them. It had palm trees, one on this side, and another on that side, on its posts.
27
ותרעא דדרתא גויתא באורח דרומא ומשח מתרע לתרע באורח דרומא מאה אמין:
amyn mah drwma bawrkh lthre mthre wmshkh drwma bawrkh gwytha ddrtha wthrea
There was a gate to the inner court toward the south. He measured one hundred cubits from gate to gate toward the south.

ואעילני לדרתא גויתא בתרע דרומא ומשח ית תרע דרומא כמשחתא האלין:
halyn kmshkhtha drwma thre yth wmshkh drwma bthre gwytha ldrtha waeylny
Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate. He measured the south gate according to these measurements;

ותווהי ואילוהי ואולמוהי כמשחתא האלין וכוין ליה ולאולמוהי סחור סחור חמשין אמין אורכא ופותיא עסרין וחמש אמין:
amyn wkhmsh esryn wpwthya awrka amyn khmshyn skhwr skhwr wlawlmwhy lyh wkwyn halyn kmshkhtha wawlmwhy waylwhy wthwwhy
with its lodges, its posts, and its arches, according to these measurements. There were windows in it and in its arches all around. It was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide.
30
ואולמיא סחור סחור אורכא עסרין וחמש אמין ופותיא חמש אמין:
amyn khmsh wpwthya amyn wkhmsh esryn awrka skhwr skhwr wawlmya
There were arches all around, twenty-five cubits long and five cubits wide.
31
ואולמוהי לדרתא בריתא וכותרן על אילוהי ודרגן תמניא דרגוהי:
drgwhy thmnya wdrgn aylwhy el wkwthrn brytha ldrtha wawlmwhy
Its arches were toward the outer court. Palm trees were on its posts. The ascent to it had eight steps.

ואעלני לדרתא גויתא באורח מדינחא ומשח ית תרעא כמשחתא האלין:
halyn kmshkhtha threa yth wmshkh mdynkha bawrkh gwytha ldrtha waelny
He brought me into the inner court toward the east. He measured the gate according to these measurements;
33
ותווהי ואילוהי ואולמוהי כמשחתא האילן וכוין ליה ולאולמוהי סחור סחור אורכא חמשין אמין ופותיא עסרין וחמש אמין:
amyn wkhmsh esryn wpwthya amyn khmshyn awrka skhwr skhwr wlawlmwhy lyh wkwyn hayln kmshkhtha wawlmwhy waylwhy wthwwhy
with its lodges, its posts, and its arches, according to these measurements. There were windows in it and in its arches all around. It was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide.

ואולמוהי לדרתא בריתא וכותרן על אילוהי מכא ומכא ותמניא דרגין דרגוהי:
drgwhy drgyn wthmnya wmka mka aylwhy el wkwthrn brytha ldrtha wawlmwhy
Its arches were toward the outer court. Palm trees were on its posts on this side and on that side. The ascent to it had eight steps.
35
ואעלני לתרע צפונא ומשח כמשחתא האלין:
halyn kmshkhtha wmshkh tspwna lthre waelny
He brought me to the north gate, and he measured it according to these measurements—
36
תווהי אילוהי ואולמוהי וכוין ליה סחור סחור אורכא חמשין אמין ופותיא עסרין וחמש אמין:
amyn wkhmsh esryn wpwthya amyn khmshyn awrka skhwr skhwr lyh wkwyn wawlmwhy aylwhy thwwhy
its lodges, its posts, and its arches. There were windows in it all around. The length was fifty cubits and the width twenty-five cubits.
37
ואילוהי לדרתא בריתא וכותרין על אילוהי מכא ומכא ותמניא דרגין דרגוהי:
drgwhy drgyn wthmnya wmka mka aylwhy el wkwthryn brytha ldrtha waylwhy
Its posts were toward the outer court. Palm trees were on its posts on this side and on that side. The ascent to it had eight steps.
38
ולשכתא ופתחא באיליא דתרעיא תמן מתקנין ית עלתא:
eltha yth mthqnyn thmn dthreya baylya wpthkha wlshktha
A room with its door was by the posts at the gates. They washed the burnt offering there.
39
ובאולמא דתרעא תרין פתורין מכא ותרין פתורין מכא למכס עליהון עלתא וחטאתא ואשמא:
washma wkhTatha eltha elyhwn lmks mka pthwryn wthryn mka pthwryn thryn dthrea wbawlma
In the porch of the gate were two tables on this side and two tables on that side, on which to kill the burnt offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering.

ולעברא דמברא למסקנא במעלנא דתרע צפונא תרין פתורין ולעברא אוחרנא דלאולמא דתרעא תרין פתורין:
pthwryn thryn dthrea dlawlma awkhrna wlebra pthwryn thryn tspwna dthre bmelna lmsqna dmbra wlebra
On the one side outside, as one goes up to the entry of the gate toward the north, were two tables; and on the other side, which belonged to the porch of the gate, were two tables.
41
ארבעא פתורין מכא וארבעה פתורין מכא לעברא דתרעא תמניא פתורין ביניהון נכסין:
nksyn bynyhwn pthwryn thmnya dthrea lebra mka pthwryn warbeh mka pthwryn arbea
Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate: eight tables, on which they killed the sacrifices.

וארבעא פתורין לעלתא באבני גזית אורכא אמתא חדא ופלגא ופותיא אמתא חדא ופלגא ורומיה אמתא חדא עליהון ויחתון ית מניא דיכסון ית עלתה בהון ונכסת קודשיא:
qwdshya wnksth bhwn elthh yth dykswn mnya yth wykhthwn elyhwn khda amtha wrwmyh wplga khda amtha wpwthya wplga khda amtha awrka gzyth babny leltha pthwryn warbea
There were four cut stone tables for the burnt offering, a cubit and a half long, a cubit and a half wide, and one cubit high. They laid the instruments with which they killed the burnt offering and the sacrifice on them.
43
וענקלין נפקין פשח חד קביעין בעמודי בית מטבחיא מגיו לאולמיא סחור סחור ועל פתוריא בשר קורבניא:
qwrbnya bshr pthwrya wel skhwr skhwr lawlmya mgyw mTbkhya byth bemwdy qbyeyn khd pshkh npqyn wenqlyn
The hooks, a hand width long, were fastened within all around. The meat of the offering was on the tables.
44
ומברא לתרעא גואה לשכת ליואי בדרתא גויתא די לעבר תרע צפונא ואפיהון לאורח דרומא חד לעיבר תרע מדינחא אפי אורח צפונא:
tspwna awrkh apy mdynkha thre leybr khd drwma lawrkh wapyhwn tspwna thre lebr dy gwytha bdrtha lyway lshkth gwah lthrea wmbra
Outside of the inner gate were rooms for the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate. They faced toward the south. One at the side of the east gate faced toward the north.
45
ומליל עמי דא לשכתא דפתיחא לאורח דרומא לכהניא נטרי מטרת ביתא:
bytha mTrth nTry lkhnya drwma lawrkh dpthykha lshktha da emy wmlyl
He said to me, “This room, which faces toward the south, is for the priests who perform the duty of the house.

ולשכתא דפתיח לאורח צפונא לכהניא נטרי מטרת מדבחא אינון בני צדוק דקרבין מבני לוי לפולחנא דיי לשמשא קדמוהי:
qdmwhy lshmsha dyy lpwlkhna lwy mbny dqrbyn tsdwq bny aynwn mdbkha mTrth nTry lkhnya tspwna lawrkh dpthykh wlshktha
The room which faces toward the north is for the priests who perform the duty of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, who from among the sons of Levi come near to Yahweh to minister to him.”

ומשח ית דרתא אורכא מאה אמין ופותיא מאה אמין מרבע ומדבחא די קדם ביתא:
bytha qdm dy wmdbkha mrbe amyn mah wpwthya amyn mah awrka drtha yth wmshkh
He measured the court, one hundred cubits long and one hundred cubits wide, square. The altar was before the house.

ואעלני לאולמא דביתא ומשח אילא דאולמא חמש אמין מכא וחמש אמין מכא ופותיא דתרעא תלת אמין מכא ותלת אמין מכא:
mka amyn wthlth mka amyn thlth dthrea wpwthya mka amyn wkhmsh mka amyn khmsh dawlma ayla wmshkh dbytha lawlma waelny
Then he brought me to the porch of the house, and measured each post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side. The width of the gate was three cubits on this side and three cubits on that side.

אורכא דאולמא עסרין אמין ובדרגין דסלקין ליה ועמודיא על איליא חד מכא וחד מכא:
mka wkhd mka khd aylya el wemwdya lyh dslqyn wbdrgyn amyn esryn dawlma awrka
The length of the porch was twenty cubits and the width eleven cubits, even by the steps by which they went up to it. There were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and another on that side.
