ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܡܫܟܚ ܐܢܬ ܐܟܘܠ ܐܟܘܠܝܗܝ ܠܟܪܟܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܙܠ ܡܠܠ ܥܡ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ
w'mr ly brnsh' mdm dmshkkh 'nth 'kwl 'kwlyhy lkrk' hn' wzl mll em dbyth 'ysr'yl
He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

ܘܦܬܚ̇ܬ ܦܘܡܝ ܘܐܘܟܠܢܝ ܟܪܟܐ ܗ̇ܘ
wpthkhth pwmy w'wklny krk' hw
So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat the scroll.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܡܠܝ ܟܪܣܟ ܘܡ̈ܥܝܟ ܡܢ ܟܪܟܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܝܗ̇ܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܘܐܟ̇ܠܬܗ ܘܗܘܐ ܒܦܘܡܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܫܐ ܚܠܝܐ
w'mr ly brnsh' mly krsk wmeyk mn krk' hn' dyhb 'n' lk w'klthh whw' bpwmy 'yk dbsh' khly'
He said to me, “Son of man, eat this scroll that I give you and fill your belly and your bowels with it.” Then I ate it. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܙܠ ܥܘܠ ܠܫܒܝܬܐ ܠܘܬ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܦܬ̈ܓܡܝ

He said to me, “Son of man, go to the house of Israel, and speak my words to them.

ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܥܡܝܩ ܡܡܠܠܐ ܘܠܥܓ ܠܫܢܐ ܫܕܪܬܟ ܥܠ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ
mTl dl' hw' el em' emyq mmll' wleg lshn' shdrthk el dbyth 'ysr'yl
For you are not sent to a people of a strange speech and of a hard language, but to the house of Israel—

ܘܐܦ ܠܐ ܥܠ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܣܓܝܐ̈ܐ ܕܠܐ ܫܡ̇ܥ ܐܢܬ ܡܡܠܠܗܘܢ ܘܐܠܘ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܫܕܪܬܟ ܫܡ̇ܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܟ
w'p l' el emm' sgy'' dl' shme 'nth mmllhwn w'lw elyhwn shdrthk shmeyn hww lk
not to many peoples of a strange speech and of a hard language, whose words you can’t understand. Surely, if I sent you to them, they would listen to you.

ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܫܡ̇ܥܝܢ ܠܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܨ̇ܒܝܢ ܠܡܫܡܥܢܝ ܕܟܠܗ ܓܝܪ ܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܥܫܝܢ ܒܝܬ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܘܩܫܐ ܠܒܗܘܢ
dbyth 'ysryl dyn l' shmeyn lk mTl dl' tsbyn lmshmeny dklh gyr byth 'ysryl eshyn byth eynyhwn wqsh' lbhwn
But the house of Israel will not listen to you, for they will not listen to me; for all the house of Israel are obstinate and hard-hearted.

ܗܐ ܐܥܫ̇ܢܬ ܐ̈ܦܝܟ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܐ̈ܦܝܗܘܢ ܘܒܝܬ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܟ ܐ̇ܫܪܬ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܒܝܬ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܗܘܢ
h' 'eshnth 'pyk lwqbl 'pyhwn wbyth eynyk 'shrth lwqbl byth eynyhwn
Behold, I have made your face hard against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads.

ܐܝܟ ܫܡܝܪܐ ܕܥܫܝܢ ܡܢ ܛܪܢܐ ܥܒ̇ܕܬ ܒܝܬ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܟ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܙܘܥ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ
'yk shmyr' deshyn mn Trn' ebdth byth eynyk l' thdkhl mnhwn wl' thzwe mn qdmyhwn mTl dbyth' 'nwn mmrmrn'
I have made your forehead as a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܟܠ ܦܬ̈ܓܡܝ ܕܐܡ̇ܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܩܒ̇ܠ ܒܠܒܟ ܘܫܡܥ ܒܐ̈ܕܢܝܟ

Moreover he said to me, “Son of man, receive in your heart and hear with your ears all my words that I speak to you.

ܘܙܠ ܥܘܠ ܠܫܒܝܬܐ ܠܘܬ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܥܡܟ ܘܡܠܠ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܟܒܪ ܢܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܢܙܘܥܘܢ
wzl ewl lshbyth' lwth bny emk wmll emhwn w'mr lhwn hkn' 'mr mr' mrwth' kbr nshmewn wnzwewn
Go to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Yahweh says,’ whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse.”

ܘܫܩܠܬܢܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܫܡ̇ܥܬ ܒܬܪܝ ܩܠܐ ܕܙܘܥܐ ܪܒܐ ܕܐܡ̇ܪ ܒܪܝܟ ܗܘ ܐܝܩܪܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܗ
wshqlthny rwkh' wshmeth bthry ql' dzwe' rb' d'mr bryk hw 'yqrh dmry' mn 'thrh
Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the voice of a great rushing, saying, “Blessed be Yahweh’s glory from his place.”

ܘܩܠܐ ܕܓܦ̈ܐ ܕܚ̈ܝܘܬܐ ܕܛ̇ܪܦܝܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܘܩܠܐ ܕܓܝ̈ܓܠܐ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܘܩܠܐ ܕܙܘܥܐ ܪܒܐ
wql' dgp' dkhywth' dTrpyn khd lkhd wql' dgygl' emhwn wql' dzwe' rb'
I heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures as they touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, even the noise of a great rushing.

ܘܫܩܠܬܢܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܘܒܠܬܢܝ ܘܐ̇ܙܠܬ ܒܚܐܦܐ ܕܪܘܚܝ ܘܐܝܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܫܢܬ ܥܠܝ
wshqlthny rwkh' w'wblthny w'zlth bkh'p' drwkhy w'ydh dmry' eshnth ely
So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away; and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; and Yahweh’s hand was strong on me.

ܘܥ̇ܠܬ ܠܫܒܝܬܐ ܠܬܠܐܟܝܒ ܕܝܬ̇ܒ ܥܠ ܢܗܪܟܒܪ ܘܝܬܒ̇ܬ ܬܡܢ ܫܒܥܐ ܝܘܡ̈ܝܢ ܟܕ ܬܡܝܗ ܐܢܐ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ
welth lshbyth' lthl'kyb dythb el nhrkbr wythbth thmn shbe' ywmyn kd thmyh 'n' bynthhwn
Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel Aviv who lived by the river Chebar, and to where they lived; and I sat there overwhelmed among them seven days.

ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܫܒܥܐ ܝܘܡ̈ܝܢ ܗܘܐ ܥܠܝ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܐܡܪ
wmn bthr shbe' ywmyn hw' ely pthgmh dmry' lm'mr
At the end of seven days, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

ܒܪܢܫܐ ܕܘܩܐ ܝܗ̇ܒܬܟ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܬܗܘܐ ܫܡ̇ܥ ܡܢ ܦܘܡܝ ܦܬ̈ܓܡܐ ܘܬܙܗܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܢܝ
brnsh' dwq' yhbthk ldbyth 'ysryl dthhw' shme mn pwmy pthgm' wthzhr 'nwn mny
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the word from my mouth, and warn them from me.

ܡܐ ܕܐܡ̇ܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܚܛܝܐ ܕܡܡܬ ܬܡܘܬ ܘܠܐ ܙܗܪܬܝܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܐܡܪܬ ܠܗ ܠܚܛܝܐ ܕܢܙܕܗܪ ܡܢ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܘܢܚܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܚܛܝܐ ܒܥܘ̣ܠܗ ܢܡܘܬ ܘܕܡܗ ܡܢ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܟ ܐܬܒܥ
m' d'mr 'n' lkhTy' dmmth thmwth wl' zhrthyhy wl' 'mrth lh lkhTy' dnzdhr mn 'wrkhh wnkh' hw khTy' bewlh nmwth wdmh mn 'ydyk 'thbe
When I tell the wicked, ‘You will surely die;’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand.

ܐܢ ܬܙܗܪ ܕܝܢ ܠܚܛܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܦܘܟ ܡܢ ܚܛܝܬܗ ܘܡܢ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܗܘ ܒܚ̈ܛܗܘܗܝ ܢܡܘܬ ܘܐܢܬ ܢܦܫܟ ܬܦܨܐ
'n thzhr dyn lkhTy' wl' nhpwk mn khTythh wmn 'wrkhh byshth' hw bkhThwhy nmwth w'nth npshk thpts'
Yet if you warn the wicked, and he doesn’t turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.”

ܘܟܕ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܢܗܦܘܟ ܡܢ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܘܢܥܒܕ ܥܘ̣ܠܐ ܐܬܠ ܬܘܩܠܬܐ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܢܡܘܬ ܥܠ ܕܠܐ ܙܗܪܬܝܗܝ ܒܚ̈ܛܗܘܗܝ ܢܡܘܬ ܘܠܐ ܬܬܕܟܪ ܠܗ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܕܥܒܕ ܘܕܡܗ ܡܢ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܟ ܐܬܒܥ
wkd zdyq' nhpwk mn zdyqwthh wnebd ewl' 'thl thwqlth' qdmwhy wnmwth el dl' zhrthyhy bkhThwhy nmwth wl' ththdkr lh zdyqwthh debd wdmh mn 'ydyk 'thbe
“Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he will die. Because you have not given him warning, he will die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered; but I will require his blood at your hand.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܬܙܗܪ ܠܙܕܝܩܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܚܛܐ ܘܠܐ ܚܛܐ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܢܚܐ ܕܐܙܕܗܪ ܘܐܢܬ ܢܦܫܟ ܬܦܨܐ
'n dyn thzhr lzdyq' dl' nkhT' wl' khT' zdyq' nkh' d'zdhr w'nth npshk thpts'
Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous not sin, and he does not sin, he will surely live, because he took warning; and you have delivered your soul.”

ܘܗܘܬ ܥܠܝ ܬܡܢ ܐܝܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܩܘܡ ܦܘܩ ܠܦܩܥܬܐ ܘܬܡܢ ܐܡܠܠ ܥܡܟ
whwth ely thmn 'ydh dmry' w'mr ly qwm pwq lpqeth' wthmn 'mll emk
Yahweh’s hand was there on me; and he said to me, “Arise, go out into the plain, and I will talk with you there.”

ܘܩ̇ܡܬ ܢܦܩ̇ܬ ܠܦܩܥܬܐ ܘܬܡܢ ܩܐ̇ܡ ܗܘܐ ܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܝܟ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܥܠ ܢܗܪܟܒܪ ܘܢܦܠ̇ܬ ܥܠ ܐ̈ܦܝ
wqmth npqth lpqeth' wthmn q'm hw' shwbkhh d'lh' d'ysryl 'yk shwbkh' dkhzyth el nhrkbr wnplth el 'py
Then I arose, and went out into the plain, and behold, Yahweh’s glory stood there, like the glory which I saw by the river Chebar. Then I fell on my face.

ܘܥܠܬ ܒܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܩܝܡܬܢܝ ܥܠ ܪ̈ܓܠܝ ܘܡܠܠ ܥܡܝ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܥܘܠ ܐܬܚܒܫ ܒܒܝܬܟ
welth by rwkh' w'qymthny el rgly wmll emy w'mr ly ewl 'thkhbsh bbythk
Then the Spirit entered into me and set me on my feet. He spoke with me, and said to me, “Go, shut yourself inside your house.

ܘܐܢܬ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܗܐ ܪܡ̇ܝܢ ܥܠܝܟ ܫܫ̈ܠܬܐ ܘܐܣ̇ܪܝܢ ܠܟ ܒܗܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܦܘܩ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ
w'nth brnsh' h' rmyn elyk shshlth' w'sryn lk bhyn dl' thpwq bynthhwn
But you, son of man, behold, they will put ropes on you, and will bind you with them, and you will not go out among them.

ܘܠܫܢܟ ܐܕܒܩ ܠܫܡܝ ܚܟܟ ܘܬܚܪܫ ܘܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܡܟܣܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ
wlshnk 'dbq lshmy khkk wthkhrsh wl' thhw' lhwn gbr' mksn' mTl dbyth' 'nwn mmrmrn'
I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be mute and will not be able to correct them, for they are a rebellious house.

ܘܡܐ ܕܡܡܠܠ ܐܢܐ ܥܡܟ ܦܬ̇ܚ ܐܢܐ ܦܘܡܟ ܕܬܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܫܡ̇ܥ ܢܫܡܥ ܘܕܙܐ̇ܥ ܢܙܘܥ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ
wm' dmmll 'n' emk pthkh 'n' pwmk dth'mr lhwn hkn' 'mr mr' mrwth' dshme nshme wdz'e nzwe mTl dbyth' 'nwn mmrmrn'
But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Yahweh says.’ He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.”
