ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܡܫܟܚ ܐܢܬ ܐܟܘܠ ܐܟܘܠܝܗܝ ܠܟܪܟܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܙܠ ܡܠܠ ܥܡ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ
'ysr'yl dbyth em mll wzl hn' lkrk' 'kwlyhy 'kwl 'nth dmshkkh mdm brnsh' ly w'mr
He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

ܘܦܬܚ̇ܬ ܦܘܡܝ ܘܐܘܟܠܢܝ ܟܪܟܐ ܗ̇ܘ
hw krk' w'wklny pwmy wpthkhth
So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat the scroll.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܡܠܝ ܟܪܣܟ ܘܡ̈ܥܝܟ ܡܢ ܟܪܟܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܝܗ̇ܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܘܐܟ̇ܠܬܗ ܘܗܘܐ ܒܦܘܡܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܫܐ ܚܠܝܐ
khly' dbsh' 'yk bpwmy whw' w'klthh lk 'n' dyhb hn' krk' mn wmeyk krsk mly brnsh' ly w'mr
He said to me, “Son of man, eat this scroll that I give you and fill your belly and your bowels with it.” Then I ate it. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܙܠ ܥܘܠ ܠܫܒܝܬܐ ܠܘܬ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܦܬ̈ܓܡܝ
pthgmy lhwn w'mr 'ysryl bny lwth lshbyth' ewl zl brnsh' ly w'mr
He said to me, “Son of man, go to the house of Israel, and speak my words to them.

ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܥܡܝܩ ܡܡܠܠܐ ܘܠܥܓ ܠܫܢܐ ܫܕܪܬܟ ܥܠ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ
'ysr'yl dbyth el shdrthk lshn' wleg mmll' emyq em' el hw' dl' mTl
For you are not sent to a people of a strange speech and of a hard language, but to the house of Israel—

ܘܐܦ ܠܐ ܥܠ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܣܓܝܐ̈ܐ ܕܠܐ ܫܡ̇ܥ ܐܢܬ ܡܡܠܠܗܘܢ ܘܐܠܘ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܫܕܪܬܟ ܫܡ̇ܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܟ
lk hww shmeyn shdrthk elyhwn w'lw mmllhwn 'nth shme dl' sgy'' emm' el l' w'p
not to many peoples of a strange speech and of a hard language, whose words you can’t understand. Surely, if I sent you to them, they would listen to you.

ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܫܡ̇ܥܝܢ ܠܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܨ̇ܒܝܢ ܠܡܫܡܥܢܝ ܕܟܠܗ ܓܝܪ ܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܥܫܝܢ ܒܝܬ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܘܩܫܐ ܠܒܗܘܢ
lbhwn wqsh' eynyhwn byth eshyn 'ysryl byth gyr dklh lmshmeny tsbyn dl' mTl lk shmeyn l' dyn 'ysryl dbyth
But the house of Israel will not listen to you, for they will not listen to me; for all the house of Israel are obstinate and hard-hearted.

ܗܐ ܐܥܫ̇ܢܬ ܐ̈ܦܝܟ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܐ̈ܦܝܗܘܢ ܘܒܝܬ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܟ ܐ̇ܫܪܬ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܒܝܬ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܗܘܢ
eynyhwn byth lwqbl 'shrth eynyk wbyth 'pyhwn lwqbl 'pyk 'eshnth h'
Behold, I have made your face hard against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads.

ܐܝܟ ܫܡܝܪܐ ܕܥܫܝܢ ܡܢ ܛܪܢܐ ܥܒ̇ܕܬ ܒܝܬ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܟ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܙܘܥ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ
mmrmrn' 'nwn dbyth' mTl qdmyhwn mn thzwe wl' mnhwn thdkhl l' eynyk byth ebdth Trn' mn deshyn shmyr' 'yk
I have made your forehead as a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܟܠ ܦܬ̈ܓܡܝ ܕܐܡ̇ܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܩܒ̇ܠ ܒܠܒܟ ܘܫܡܥ ܒܐ̈ܕܢܝܟ
b'dnyk wshme blbk qbl lk 'n' d'mr pthgmy kl brnsh' ly w'mr
Moreover he said to me, “Son of man, receive in your heart and hear with your ears all my words that I speak to you.

ܘܙܠ ܥܘܠ ܠܫܒܝܬܐ ܠܘܬ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܥܡܟ ܘܡܠܠ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܟܒܪ ܢܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܢܙܘܥܘܢ
wnzwewn nshmewn kbr mrwth' mr' 'mr hkn' lhwn w'mr emhwn wmll emk bny lwth lshbyth' ewl wzl
Go to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Yahweh says,’ whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse.”

ܘܫܩܠܬܢܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܫܡ̇ܥܬ ܒܬܪܝ ܩܠܐ ܕܙܘܥܐ ܪܒܐ ܕܐܡ̇ܪ ܒܪܝܟ ܗܘ ܐܝܩܪܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܗ
'thrh mn dmry' 'yqrh hw bryk d'mr rb' dzwe' ql' bthry wshmeth rwkh' wshqlthny
Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the voice of a great rushing, saying, “Blessed be Yahweh’s glory from his place.”

ܘܩܠܐ ܕܓܦ̈ܐ ܕܚ̈ܝܘܬܐ ܕܛ̇ܪܦܝܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܘܩܠܐ ܕܓܝ̈ܓܠܐ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܘܩܠܐ ܕܙܘܥܐ ܪܒܐ
rb' dzwe' wql' emhwn dgygl' wql' lkhd khd dTrpyn dkhywth' dgp' wql'
I heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures as they touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, even the noise of a great rushing.

ܘܫܩܠܬܢܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܘܒܠܬܢܝ ܘܐ̇ܙܠܬ ܒܚܐܦܐ ܕܪܘܚܝ ܘܐܝܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܫܢܬ ܥܠܝ
ely eshnth dmry' w'ydh drwkhy bkh'p' w'zlth w'wblthny rwkh' wshqlthny
So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away; and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; and Yahweh’s hand was strong on me.

ܘܥ̇ܠܬ ܠܫܒܝܬܐ ܠܬܠܐܟܝܒ ܕܝܬ̇ܒ ܥܠ ܢܗܪܟܒܪ ܘܝܬܒ̇ܬ ܬܡܢ ܫܒܥܐ ܝܘܡ̈ܝܢ ܟܕ ܬܡܝܗ ܐܢܐ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ
bynthhwn 'n' thmyh kd ywmyn shbe' thmn wythbth nhrkbr el dythb lthl'kyb lshbyth' welth
Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel Aviv who lived by the river Chebar, and to where they lived; and I sat there overwhelmed among them seven days.

ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܫܒܥܐ ܝܘܡ̈ܝܢ ܗܘܐ ܥܠܝ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܐܡܪ
lm'mr dmry' pthgmh ely hw' ywmyn shbe' bthr wmn
At the end of seven days, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

ܒܪܢܫܐ ܕܘܩܐ ܝܗ̇ܒܬܟ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܬܗܘܐ ܫܡ̇ܥ ܡܢ ܦܘܡܝ ܦܬ̈ܓܡܐ ܘܬܙܗܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܢܝ
mny 'nwn wthzhr pthgm' pwmy mn shme dthhw' 'ysryl ldbyth yhbthk dwq' brnsh'
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the word from my mouth, and warn them from me.

ܡܐ ܕܐܡ̇ܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܚܛܝܐ ܕܡܡܬ ܬܡܘܬ ܘܠܐ ܙܗܪܬܝܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܐܡܪܬ ܠܗ ܠܚܛܝܐ ܕܢܙܕܗܪ ܡܢ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܘܢܚܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܚܛܝܐ ܒܥܘ̣ܠܗ ܢܡܘܬ ܘܕܡܗ ܡܢ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܟ ܐܬܒܥ
'thbe 'ydyk mn wdmh nmwth bewlh khTy' hw wnkh' 'wrkhh mn dnzdhr lkhTy' lh 'mrth wl' zhrthyhy wl' thmwth dmmth lkhTy' 'n' d'mr m'
When I tell the wicked, ‘You will surely die;’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand.

ܐܢ ܬܙܗܪ ܕܝܢ ܠܚܛܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܦܘܟ ܡܢ ܚܛܝܬܗ ܘܡܢ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܗܘ ܒܚ̈ܛܗܘܗܝ ܢܡܘܬ ܘܐܢܬ ܢܦܫܟ ܬܦܨܐ
thpts' npshk w'nth nmwth bkhThwhy hw byshth' 'wrkhh wmn khTythh mn nhpwk wl' lkhTy' dyn thzhr 'n
Yet if you warn the wicked, and he doesn’t turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.”

ܘܟܕ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܢܗܦܘܟ ܡܢ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܘܢܥܒܕ ܥܘ̣ܠܐ ܐܬܠ ܬܘܩܠܬܐ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܢܡܘܬ ܥܠ ܕܠܐ ܙܗܪܬܝܗܝ ܒܚ̈ܛܗܘܗܝ ܢܡܘܬ ܘܠܐ ܬܬܕܟܪ ܠܗ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܕܥܒܕ ܘܕܡܗ ܡܢ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܟ ܐܬܒܥ
'thbe 'ydyk mn wdmh debd zdyqwthh lh ththdkr wl' nmwth bkhThwhy zhrthyhy dl' el wnmwth qdmwhy thwqlth' 'thl ewl' wnebd zdyqwthh mn nhpwk zdyq' wkd
“Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he will die. Because you have not given him warning, he will die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered; but I will require his blood at your hand.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܬܙܗܪ ܠܙܕܝܩܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܚܛܐ ܘܠܐ ܚܛܐ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܢܚܐ ܕܐܙܕܗܪ ܘܐܢܬ ܢܦܫܟ ܬܦܨܐ
thpts' npshk w'nth d'zdhr nkh' zdyq' khT' wl' nkhT' dl' lzdyq' thzhr dyn 'n
Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous not sin, and he does not sin, he will surely live, because he took warning; and you have delivered your soul.”

ܘܗܘܬ ܥܠܝ ܬܡܢ ܐܝܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܩܘܡ ܦܘܩ ܠܦܩܥܬܐ ܘܬܡܢ ܐܡܠܠ ܥܡܟ
emk 'mll wthmn lpqeth' pwq qwm ly w'mr dmry' 'ydh thmn ely whwth
Yahweh’s hand was there on me; and he said to me, “Arise, go out into the plain, and I will talk with you there.”

ܘܩ̇ܡܬ ܢܦܩ̇ܬ ܠܦܩܥܬܐ ܘܬܡܢ ܩܐ̇ܡ ܗܘܐ ܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܝܟ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܥܠ ܢܗܪܟܒܪ ܘܢܦܠ̇ܬ ܥܠ ܐ̈ܦܝ
'py el wnplth nhrkbr el dkhzyth shwbkh' 'yk d'ysryl d'lh' shwbkhh hw' q'm wthmn lpqeth' npqth wqmth
Then I arose, and went out into the plain, and behold, Yahweh’s glory stood there, like the glory which I saw by the river Chebar. Then I fell on my face.

ܘܥܠܬ ܒܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܩܝܡܬܢܝ ܥܠ ܪ̈ܓܠܝ ܘܡܠܠ ܥܡܝ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܥܘܠ ܐܬܚܒܫ ܒܒܝܬܟ
bbythk 'thkhbsh ewl ly w'mr emy wmll rgly el w'qymthny rwkh' by welth
Then the Spirit entered into me and set me on my feet. He spoke with me, and said to me, “Go, shut yourself inside your house.

ܘܐܢܬ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܗܐ ܪܡ̇ܝܢ ܥܠܝܟ ܫܫ̈ܠܬܐ ܘܐܣ̇ܪܝܢ ܠܟ ܒܗܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܦܘܩ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ
bynthhwn thpwq dl' bhyn lk w'sryn shshlth' elyk rmyn h' brnsh' w'nth
But you, son of man, behold, they will put ropes on you, and will bind you with them, and you will not go out among them.

ܘܠܫܢܟ ܐܕܒܩ ܠܫܡܝ ܚܟܟ ܘܬܚܪܫ ܘܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܡܟܣܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ
mmrmrn' 'nwn dbyth' mTl mksn' gbr' lhwn thhw' wl' wthkhrsh khkk lshmy 'dbq wlshnk
I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be mute and will not be able to correct them, for they are a rebellious house.

ܘܡܐ ܕܡܡܠܠ ܐܢܐ ܥܡܟ ܦܬ̇ܚ ܐܢܐ ܦܘܡܟ ܕܬܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܫܡ̇ܥ ܢܫܡܥ ܘܕܙܐ̇ܥ ܢܙܘܥ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ
mmrmrn' 'nwn dbyth' mTl nzwe wdz'e nshme dshme mrwth' mr' 'mr hkn' lhwn dth'mr pwmk 'n' pthkh emk 'n' dmmll wm'
But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Yahweh says.’ He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.”
