1
והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמי למימר:
lmymr emy yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

בר אדם קביל נבואה על טורא דשעיר ותתנבי עלוהי:
elwhy wththnby dsheyr Twra el nbwah qbyl adm br
“Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it,

ותימר ליה כדנן אמר יי אלהים הא אנא שלח רוגזי עלך טורא דשעיר וארים מחת גבורתי עלך ואתנינך לצדו ואשתממו:
washthmmw ltsdw wathnynk elk gbwrthy mkhth warym dsheyr Twra elk rwgzy shlkh ana ha alhym yy amr kdnn lyh wthymr
and tell it, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against you. I will make you a desolation and an astonishment.

קרוך חורבא אשוי ואת לצדו תהי ותידע ארי אנא יי:
yy ana ary wthyde thhy ltsdw wath ashwy khwrba qrwk
I will lay your cities waste, and you will be desolate. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.

חלף דהות לך דבבות עלם ותביבתא ית בני ישראל על ידי קטולי חרבא בעדן תבירהון בעדן תושלמת חוביהון:
khwbyhwn thwshlmth bedn thbyrhwn bedn khrba qTwly ydy el yshral bny yth wthbybtha elm dbbwth lk dhwth khlp
“‘“Because you have had a perpetual hostility, and have given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end,

בכן קים אנא אמר יי אלהים ארי לקטול אעבדינך ודקטלין בחרבא ירדפונך אם לא דמא ירדפונך:
yrdpwnk dma la am yrdpwnk bkhrba wdqTlyn aebdynk lqTwl ary alhym yy amr ana qym bkn
therefore, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “I will prepare you for blood, and blood will pursue you. Since you have not hated blood, therefore blood will pursue you.

ואתן ית טורא דשעיר לצדו ולאשתממו ואשיצי מניה דעדי ודתאיב:
wdthayb dedy mnyh washytsy wlashthmmw ltsdw dsheyr Twra yth wathn
Thus I will make Mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation. I will cut off from it him who passes through and him who returns.

ואמלי ית טורוהי קטילוהי רמתהי וחילוהי וכל פצידוהי קטילי חרבא יתרמון בהון:
bhwn ythrmwn khrba qTyly ptsydwhy wkl wkhylwhy rmthhy qTylwhy Twrwhy yth wamly
I will fill its mountains with its slain. The slain with the sword will fall in your hills and in your valleys and in all your watercourses.

צדו עלם אתנינך וקרוך לא יתיתבן ותידעון ארי אנא יי:
yy ana ary wthydewn ythythbn la wqrwk athnynk elm tsdw
I will make you a perpetual desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.

חלף דאמרת ית תרין עממין וית מדינן דילי אינון ואירתינון וקדם יי גלין מחשבת לבא:
lba mkhshbth glyn yy wqdm wayrthynwn aynwn dyly mdynn wyth emmyn thryn yth damrth khlp
“‘“Because you have said, ‘These two nations and these two countries will be mine, and we will possess it,’ although Yahweh was there,

בכן קים אנא אמר יי אלהים ואעבד כרוגזך וכחמיתך ועבדתא מדסניתא להון ואתגלי לאיטבא להון כד אתפרע מנך:
mnk athpre kd lhwn layTba wathgly lhwn mdsnytha webdtha wkkhmythk krwgzk waebd alhym yy amr ana qym bkn
therefore, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “I will do according to your anger, and according to your envy which you have shown out of your hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.

ותידע ארי אנא יי שמיע ית כל ארגזותך דאמרת על טורי ארעא דישראל למימר צדיאת לנא אתמסירו לאשתיצאה:
lashthytsah athmsyrw lna tsdyath lmymr dyshral area Twry el damrth argzwthk kl yth shmye yy ana ary wthyde
You will know that I, Yahweh, have heard all your insults which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, ‘They have been laid desolate. They have been given to us to devour.’

ואתרברבתון עלי במלי פומכון ואסגיתון עלי פתגמיכון קדמי שמיע:
shmye qdmy pthgmykwn ely wasgythwn pwmkwn bmly ely wathrbrbthwn
You have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me. I have heard it.”

כדנן אמר יי אלהים כמחדי כל ארעא צדו אעביד לך:
lk aebyd tsdw area kl kmkhdy alhym yy amr kdnn
The Lord Yahweh says: “When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.
15
כמא דחדיתא על אחסנת בית ישראל דצדיאת ארעהון כן אעביד לך צדו תהי טורא דשעיר וכל אדום כולה וידעון ארי אנא יי:
yy ana ary wydewn kwlh adwm wkl dsheyr Twra thhy tsdw lk aebyd kn arehwn dtsdyath yshral byth akhsnth el dkhdytha kma
As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.’”
