ܒܫܢܬܐ ܥܣܝܪܝܬܐ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܕܥܣܪܐ ܒܬܪܥܣܪܐ ܗܘܐ ܥܠܝ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܐܡܪ

In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

ܒܪܢܫܐ ܣܝܡ ܐ̈ܦܝܟ ܥܠ ܦܪܥܘܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܐܬܢܒܐ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܘܥܠ ܟܠܗ̇ ܡܨܪܝܢ
mtsryn klh wel elwhy w'thnb' dmtsryn mlk' prewn el 'pyk sym brnsh'
“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.

ܡܠܠ ܘܐܡܪ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܝܟ ܦܪܥܘܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܬܢܝܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܕܪܒܝܥ ܒܓܘ ܢܗܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܘܐܡ̇ܪ ܕܕܝܠܝ ܗܘ ܢܗܪܐ ܘܐܢܐ ܥܒ̇ܕܬܗ

Speak and say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lies in the middle of his rivers, that has said, ‘My river is my own, and I have made it for myself.’

ܐܢܐ ܐܪܡܐ ܒܠܡܐ ܒܦܟܝ̈ܟ ܘܐܕܒܩ ܒ̈ܓܦܝܟ ܢܘ̈ܢܐ ܕܢܗܪܟ ܘܐܣܩܟ ܡܢ ܓܘ ܢܗܪܟ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܢܘ̈ܢܐ ܕܢܗܪܟ ܒܓܦܝ̈ܟ ܢܕܒܩܘܢ
ndbqwn bgpyk dnhrk nwn' wklhwn nhrk gw mn w'sqk dnhrk nwn' bgpyk w'dbq bpkyk blm' 'rm' 'n'
I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will make the fish of your rivers stick to your scales. I will bring you up out of the middle of your rivers, with all the fish of your rivers which stick to your scales.

ܘܐܪܡܝܟ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܠܟ ܘܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܢܘ̈ܢܐ ܕܢܗܪܟ ܘܥܠ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܚܩܠܐ ܬܦܠ ܘܠܐ ܬܬܟܢܫ ܘܠܐ ܬܬܚܡܠ ܠܚܝܘܬܐ ܕܕܒܪܐ ܘܠܦܪܚܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܝܗܒ̇ܬܟ ܠܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ

I’ll cast you out into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers. You’ll fall on the open field. You won’t be brought together or gathered. I have given you for food to the animals of the earth and to the birds of the sky.

ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܕܗܘܝܬ ܐܝܟ ܚܘܛܪܐ ܕܩܢܝܐ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
'ysryl ldbyth dqny' khwTr' 'yk dhwyth el mry' 'n' d'n' dmtsryn emwryh klhwn wndewn
“‘“All the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am Yahweh, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

ܟܕ ܐܚܕܘܟ ܒܐ̈ܝܕܝܗܘܢ ܒܙܥܬ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܗܘܢ ܘܟܕ ܐܣܬܡܟܘ ܥܠܝܟ ܐܬܬܒܪܬ ܘܐܪܥܠܬ ܚܨ̈ܝܗܘܢ

When they took hold of you by your hand, you broke and tore all their shoulders. When they leaned on you, you broke and paralyzed all of their thighs.”

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܗܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܝܟ ܚܪܒܐ ܘܐܘܒܕ ܡܢܟ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܘܒܥܝܪܐ

“‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and will cut off man and animal from you.

ܘܬܗܘܐ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܘܠܚܘܪܒܐ ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܕܐܡ̇ܪܬ ܕܕܝܠܝ ܗܘ ܢܗܪܐ ܘܐܢܐ ܥܒ̇ܕܬܗ

The land of Egypt will be a desolation and a waste. Then they will know that I am Yahweh. “‘“Because he has said, ‘The river is mine, and I have made it,’

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܝܟ ܘܥܠ ܢܗܪܟ ܘܐܬܠܝܗ̇ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܘܠܚܘܪܒܐ ܡܢ ܡܓܕܠܐ ܕܣܘܢܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܬܚܘܡܐ ܕܟܘܫ
dkwsh lthkhwm' wedm' dswn' mgdl' mn wlkhwrb' lkhbl' dmtsryn l're' w'thlyh nhrk wel elyk 'n' h' hn' mTl
therefore, behold, I am against you and against your rivers. I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation, from the tower of Seveneh even to the border of Ethiopia.

ܠܐ ܬܥܒܪ ܒܗ̇ ܪܓܠܐ ܕܒܪܢܫܐ ܘܐܦܠܐ ܦܪܣܬܐ ܕܒܥܝܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܬܒ ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܫ̈ܢܝܢ
shnyn 'rbeyn ththb wl' dbeyr' prsth' w'pl' dbrnsh' rgl' bh thebr l'
No foot of man will pass through it, nor will any animal foot pass through it. It won’t be inhabited for forty years.

ܘܐܬܠܝܗ̇ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܒܝܢܬ ܡܕܝܢ̈ܬܐ ܕܨ̈ܕܝܢ ܘܢܗ̈ܘܝܢ ܡܕܝܢ̈ܬܗ̇ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܫ̈ܢܝܢ ܒܝܢܬ ܡܕܝ̈ܢܬܐ ܕܚܪ̈ܒܢ ܘܐܒܕܪܝܗ̇ ܠܡܨܪܝܢ ܒܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܘܐܕܪܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܡ̈ܕܝܢܬܐ
bmdynth' 'nwn w'dr' bemm' lmtsryn w'bdryh dkhrbn mdynth' bynth shnyn 'rbeyn lkhbl' mdynthh wnhwyn dtsdyn mdynth' bynth lkhbl' dmtsryn l're' w'thlyh
I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the middle of the countries that are desolate. Her cities among the cities that are laid waste will be a desolation forty years. I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.”

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܒܬܪ ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ ܐܟܢܫ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ ܡܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܐܬܒܕܪܘ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ
bynthhwn d'thbdrw emm' mn lmtsry' 'nwn 'knsh shnyn 'rbeyn bthr mrwth' mr' 'mr hkn'
“‘For the Lord Yahweh says: “At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples where they were scattered.

ܘܐܗܦܟ ܫܒܝܬܗ̇ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܐܘܬܒ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܦܬܪܘܣ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܐܙܕܒܢܘ ܡܢܗ̇ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܬܡܢ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܡܟܝܟܬܐ
mkykth' mlkwth' thmn wnhwwn mnh d'zdbnw b're' dpthrws b're' 'nwn w'wthb dmtsryn shbythh w'hpk
I will reverse the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their birth. There they will be a lowly kingdom.

ܘܬܗܘܐ ܡܟܝܟܐ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܘܬܐ ܘܬܘܒ ܠܐ ܬܫܬܩܠ ܥܠ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܘܐܙܥܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܫܥܒܕܘܢ ܠܥܡ̈ܡܐ
lemm' nshebdwn dl' 'nwn w'zer emm' el thshthql l' wthwb mlkwth' klhyn mn mkyk' wthhw'
It will be the lowest of the kingdoms. It won’t lift itself up above the nations any more. I will diminish them so that they will no longer rule over the nations.

ܘܬܘܒ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܣܒܪܐ ܘܠܥܘܗܕܢܐ ܕܥܘ̣ܠܐ ܥܠ ܕܐܙܠܘ ܒܬܪܗܘܢ ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ
mrwth' mr' 'n' d'n' wndewn bthrhwn d'zlw el dewl' wlewhdn' lsbr' 'ysryl ldbyth nhwwn l' wthwb
It will no longer be the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to memory, when they turn to look after them. Then they will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”’”

ܒܥܣܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܫܒܥ ܫ̈ܢܝܢ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܒܚܕ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܗܘܐ ܥܠܝ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܐܡܪ

It came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

ܒܪܢܫܐ ܢܒܘܟܕܢܨܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܒܒܠ ܫܥܒܕ ܠܟܠܗ ܚܝܠܗ ܫܘܥܒܕܐ ܪܒܐ ܥܠ ܨܘܪ ܒܟܠ ܪܝܫ ܩܘ̈ܕܚܬܐ ܘܟܠ ܟܬܦ ܚܠܝܨܐ ܘܐܓܪܐ ܠܐ ܐܬܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܘܠܚܝܠܗ ܡܢ ܨܘܪ ܥܠ ܫܘܥܒܕܐ ܕܫܥܒܕܗ

“Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre. Every head was made bald, and every shoulder was worn; yet he had no wages, nor did his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܗܐ ܝܗ̇ܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܢܒܘܟܕܢܨܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܒܒܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܢܫܩܘܠ ܩܢܝܢܗ̇ ܘܢܫܒܐ ܫܒܝܬܗ̇ ܘܢܒܘܙ ܒܙܬܗ̇ ܘܬܗܘܐ ܐܓܪܐ ܠܚܝܠܗ
lkhylh 'gr' wthhw' bzthh wnbwz shbythh wnshb' qnynh wnshqwl dmtsryn 're' dbbl mlk' lnbwkdntsr 'n' yhb h' mrwth' mr' 'mr hkn' hn' mTl
Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. He will carry off her multitude, take her plunder, and take her prey. That will be the wages for his army.

ܘܚܠܦ ܦܥܠܘܬܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܒܨܘܪ ܝܗ̇ܒܬ ܠܗ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ
mrwth' mr' 'mr dmtsryn 're' lh yhbth btswr debd pelwth' wkhlp
I have given him the land of Egypt as his payment for which he served, because they worked for me,’ says the Lord Yahweh.

ܒܗ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܐ̇ܕܢܚ ܩܪܢܐ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܐܦܬܚ ܦܘܡܟ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ
mrwth' mr' 'n' d'n' wndewn bynthhwn pwmk w'pthkh 'ysryl ldbyth qrn' 'dnkh hw bywm' bh
“In that day I will cause a horn to sprout for the house of Israel, and I will open your mouth among them. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.”
