בשתא עשיריתא בעשיראה בתרי עסר לירחא הוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמי למימר:
lmymr emy yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm hwh lyrkha esr bthry beshyrah eshyrytha bshtha
In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

בר אדם קביל נבואה על פרעה מלכא דמצרים ואתנבי עלוהי ועל מצראי כולהון:
kwlhwn mtsray wel elwhy wathnby dmtsrym mlka preh el nbwah qbyl adm br
“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.

אתנבי ותימר כדנן אמר יי אלהים הא אנא שלח רוגזי עלך פרעה מלכא דמצרים דאת דמי לתנינא רבא די שרי בגו נהרותיה די אמר דילי מלכותא ואנא כבישית:
kbyshyth wana mlkwtha dyly amr dy nhrwthyh bgw shry dy rba lthnyna dmy dath dmtsrym mlka preh elk rwgzy shlkh ana ha alhym yy amr kdnn wthymr athnby
Speak and say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lies in the middle of his rivers, that has said, ‘My river is my own, and I have made it for myself.’

ואתן שירין בליסתך ואקטול שלטוני תוקפך עם גברך ואבטלינך ממלכותך וית כל שלטוני תוקפך עם גברך יתקטלון:
ythqTlwn gbrk em thwqpk shlTwny kl wyth mmlkwthk wabTlynk gbrk em thwqpk shlTwny waqTwl blysthk shyryn wathn
I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will make the fish of your rivers stick to your scales. I will bring you up out of the middle of your rivers, with all the fish of your rivers which stick to your scales.

וארטשינך למדברא יתך וית כל שלטוני תוקפך על אפי חקלא תתרמי נבילתך לא תתכניש ולא תתקבר לחית ארעא ולעופא דשמיא מסרתך לאשתיצאה:
lashthytsah msrthk dshmya wlewpa area lkhyth ththqbr wla ththknysh la nbylthk ththrmy khqla apy el thwqpk shlTwny kl wyth ythk lmdbra warTshynk
I’ll cast you out into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers. You’ll fall on the open field. You won’t be brought together or gathered. I have given you for food to the animals of the earth and to the birds of the sky.

וידעון כל יתבי מצרים ארי אנא יי חלף דהוו סמך קניא רעיעא לבית ישראל:
yshral lbyth reyea qnya smk dhww khlp yy ana ary mtsrym ythby kl wydewn
“‘“All the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am Yahweh, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

באתכניותהון בך ביד מלך תקיף תתמסר וייבד בית רוחצניהון ובאיסתמכותהון עלך תתבר ולא תהי להון לבית סומכון:
swmkwn lbyth lhwn thhy wla ththbr elk wbaysthmkwthhwn rwkhtsnyhwn byth wyybd ththmsr thqyp mlk byd bk bathknywthhwn
When they took hold of you by your hand, you broke and tore all their shoulders. When they leaned on you, you broke and paralyzed all of their thighs.”

בכן כדנן אמר יי אלהים הא אנא מיתי עלך דקטלין בחרבא ואשיצי מנך אנשא ובעירא:
wbeyra ansha mnk washytsy bkhrba dqTlyn elk mythy ana ha alhym yy amr kdnn bkn
“‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and will cut off man and animal from you.

ותהי ארעא דמצרים לאישתממו וחורבא וידעון ארי אנא יי חלף דאמר מלכותא דילי ואנא כבשית:
kbshyth wana dyly mlkwtha damr khlp yy ana ary wydewn wkhwrba layshthmmw dmtsrym area wthhy
The land of Egypt will be a desolation and a waste. Then they will know that I am Yahweh. “‘“Because he has said, ‘The river is mine, and I have made it,’

בכן הא אנא שלח רוגזי עלך ועל מלכותך ואתן ית ארעא דמצרים לחורב צדו ושממו ממגדל סונה ועד תחום כוש:
kwsh thkhwm wed swnh mmgdl wshmmw tsdw lkhwrb dmtsrym area yth wathn mlkwthk wel elk rwgzy shlkh ana ha bkn
therefore, behold, I am against you and against your rivers. I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation, from the tower of Seveneh even to the border of Ethiopia.

לא תעבר בה רגלא די אנשא ורגלא די בעירא לא תעבר בה ולא תתיתב ארבעין שנין:
shnyn arbeyn ththythb wla bh thebr la beyra dy wrgla ansha dy rgla bh thebr la
No foot of man will pass through it, nor will any animal foot pass through it. It won’t be inhabited for forty years.

ואתן ית ארעא דמצרים לצדו בגו מדינן צדין וקרוהא בגו קרוין דהואה חרבן יהוין לצדו ארבעין שנין ואגלי ית מצראי לביני עממיא ואבדרינון במדינתא:
bmdyntha wabdrynwn emmya lbyny mtsray yth wagly shnyn arbeyn ltsdw yhwyn khrbn dhwah qrwyn bgw wqrwha tsdyn mdynn bgw ltsdw dmtsrym area yth wathn
I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the middle of the countries that are desolate. Her cities among the cities that are laid waste will be a desolation forty years. I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.”

ארי כדנן אמר יי אלהים מסוף ארבעין שנין אכניש ית מצראי מביני עממיא דאתבדרו לתמן:
lthmn dathbdrw emmya mbyny mtsray yth aknysh shnyn arbeyn mswp alhym yy amr kdnn ary
“‘For the Lord Yahweh says: “At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples where they were scattered.

ואתיב ית גלות מצרים ואתיב יתהון לארעא פתרוס על ארעא תותבותהון ויהון תמן מלכו חלשא:
khlsha mlkw thmn wyhwn thwthbwthhwn area el pthrws larea ythhwn wathyb mtsrym glwth yth wathyb
I will reverse the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their birth. There they will be a lowly kingdom.

מן מלכותא תהי חלשא ולא תתרברב עוד על עממיא ואזעירינון בדיל דלא יפלחון בעממיא:
bemmya yplkhwn dla bdyl wazeyrynwn emmya el ewd ththrbrb wla khlsha thhy mlkwtha mn
It will be the lowest of the kingdoms. It won’t lift itself up above the nations any more. I will diminish them so that they will no longer rule over the nations.

ולא יהון עוד לבית ישראל לאתרחצא עליהון לאדכרא חובין באפניותהון בתריהון וידעון ארי אנא יי אלהים:
alhym yy ana ary wydewn bthryhwn bapnywthhwn khwbyn ladkra elyhwn lathrkhtsa yshral lbyth ewd yhwn wla
It will no longer be the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to memory, when they turn to look after them. Then they will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”’”

והוה בעסרין ושבע שנין בקדמאה בחד לירחא הוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמי למימר:
lmymr emy yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm hwh lyrkha bkhd bqdmah shnyn wshbe besryn whwh
It came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

בר אדם נבוכדראצר מלכא דבבל אפלח ית משריתיה פולחן רב על כל סער ריש נתר וכל כתף אתמרט ואגר לא הוה ליה ולמשריתיה מצור על פולחנא דאפלח עלה:
elh daplkh pwlkhna el mtswr wlmshrythyh lyh hwh la wagr athmrT kthp wkl nthr rysh ser kl el rb pwlkhn mshrythyh yth aplkh dbbl mlka nbwkdratsr adm br
“Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre. Every head was made bald, and every shoulder was worn; yet he had no wages, nor did his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it.

בכן כדנן אמר יי אלהים הא אנא יהיב לנבוכדראצר מלכא דבבל ית ארעא דמצרים וישבי אתרגושתה ויבוז בזה ויעדי עדאה ותהי אגר למשריתיה:
lmshrythyh agr wthhy edah wyedy bzh wybwz athrgwshthh wyshby dmtsrym area yth dbbl mlka lnbwkdratsr yhyb ana ha alhym yy amr kdnn bkn
Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. He will carry off her multitude, take her plunder, and take her prey. That will be the wages for his army.

אגריה דאפלח ביה יהבית ליה ית ארעא דמצרים דחבו קדמי לאתפרע מנהון אמר יי אלהים:
alhym yy amr mnhwn lathpre qdmy dkhbw dmtsrym area yth lyh yhbyth byh daplkh agryh
I have given him the land of Egypt as his payment for which he served, because they worked for me,’ says the Lord Yahweh.

ביומא ההוא איתי פורקן לבית ישראל ולך אתן מפתח פומא בנבואה ביניהון וידעון ארי אנא יי:
yy ana ary wydewn bynyhwn bnbwah pwma mpthkh athn wlk yshral lbyth pwrqn aythy hhwa bywma
“In that day I will cause a horn to sprout for the house of Israel, and I will open your mouth among them. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.”
