והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמי למימר:
lmymr emy yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Yahweh’s word came again to me, saying,
2
ואת בר אדם טול על צור אליא:
alya tswr el Twl adm br wath
“You, son of man, take up a lamentation over Tyre;

ותימר לצור דיתבא על מגרש מחוזי ימא מספקא סחורא לעממיא לנגון סגיאין כדנן אמר יי אלהים צור את אמרת אנא משכללא בשופרי:
bshwpry mshklla ana amrth ath tswr alhym yy amr kdnn sgyayn lngwn lemmya skhwra mspqa yma mkhwzy mgrsh el dythba ltswr wthymr
and tell Tyre, ‘You who dwell at the entry of the sea, who are the merchant of the peoples to many islands, the Lord Yahweh says: “You, Tyre, have said, ‘I am perfect in beauty.’

בגו ימיא תחומיך ארדיכליך שכלילו בניניך:
bnynyk shklylw ardyklyk thkhwmyk ymya bgw
Your borders are in the heart of the seas. Your builders have perfected your beauty.

בירון משניר בנו ליך ית כל נשרך ארזין מלבנן נסיבו למעבד תורנין עלך:
elk thwrnyn lmebd nsybw mlbnn arzyn nshrk kl yth lyk bnw mshnyr byrwn
They have made all your planks of cypress trees from Senir. They have taken a cedar from Lebanon to make a mast for you.

בלוטין ממתנן עבדו משוטי ספינך תרומי תרעך דפין דאשכרועין מכבשין בשן דפיל בית חופאה לאתיטרון ממדינת אפוליא:
apwlya mmdynth lathyTrwn khwpah byth dpyl bshn mkbshyn dashkrweyn dpyn threk thrwmy spynk mshwTy ebdw mmthnn blwTyn
They have made your oars of the oaks of Bashan. They have made your benches of ivory inlaid in cypress wood from the islands of Kittim.

בוץ וציורין ממצרים הוה פרסיך למהוי ליך לאת תכלא וארגונא ממדינת איטליא הות כסותיך:
kswthyk hwth ayTlya mmdynth wargwna thkla lath lyk lmhwy prsyk hwh mmtsrym wtsywryn bwts
Your sail was of fine linen with embroidered work from Egypt, that it might be to you for a banner. Blue and purple from the islands of Elishah was your awning.

יתבי צידון וארוד הוו שיטין ומיתן סחורא לגויך חכימיך צור הוו ביך אינון פרנסיך:
prnsyk aynwn byk hww tswr khkymyk lgwyk skhwra wmythn shyTyn hww warwd tsydwn ythby
The inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were your rowers. Your wise men, Tyre, were in you. They were your pilots.

סבי גבל וחכימהא הוו ביך מתקפי צורביך כל נחתי ימא וספניהון הוו שיטין ומיתן סחורא לגויך:
lgwyk skhwra wmythn shyTyn hww wspnyhwn yma nkhthy kl tswrbyk mthqpy byk hww wkhkymha gbl sby
The old men of Gebal and its wise men were your repairers of ship seams in you. All the ships of the sea with their mariners were in you to deal in your merchandise.

פרסאי ולודאי ופוטאי הוו במשריתיך גברי עבדי קרביך עגילין וקולסין תלו ביך אינון אסגיאו זיויך:
zywyk asgyaw aynwn byk thlw wqwlsyn egylyn qrbyk ebdy gbry bmshrythyk hww wpwTay wlwday prsay
“‘“Persia, Lud, and Put were in your army, your men of war. They hung the shield and helmet in you. They showed your beauty.

בני ארוד וכל משריתיך על שורך סחור סחור ואף קפוטקאי במגדליך הוו שלטיהון תלו על שורך סחור סחור אינון שכלילו שופריך:
shwpryk shklylw aynwn skhwr skhwr shwrk el thlw shlTyhwn hww bmgdlyk qpwTqay wap skhwr skhwr shwrk el mshrythyk wkl arwd bny
The men of Arvad with your army were on your walls all around, and valiant men were in your towers. They hung their shields on your walls all around. They have perfected your beauty.

מן ימא מיתן סחורא לגויך מסגי כל עותר בכסף ברזל עבץ ואבד יהבו בבית גנזיך:
gnzyk bbyth yhbw wabd ebts brzl bksp ewthr kl msgy lgwyk skhwra mythn yma mn
“‘“Tarshish was your merchant by reason of the multitude of all kinds of riches. They traded for your wares with silver, iron, tin, and lead.

יון תובל ומשך אינון תגריך בנפשא דאנשא ומני נחשא מיתן סחורא לגויך:
lgwyk skhwra mythn nkhsha wmny dansha bnpsha thgryk aynwn wmshk thwbl ywn
“‘“Javan, Tubal, and Meshech were your traders. They traded the persons of men and vessels of bronze for your merchandise.

ממדינת גרממיא סוסון ופרשין וכודנון מיתן סחורא לגויך:
lgwyk skhwra mythn wkwdnwn wprshyn swswn grmmya mmdynth
“‘“They of the house of Togarmah traded for your wares with horses, war horses, and mules.

בני דדן תגרך יתבי נגון סגיאן מיתן סחורא לגויך בקרנין דיעלין ושן דפיל וטוסין אתיבו קורבניך:
qwrbnyk athybw wTwsyn dpyl wshn dyelyn bqrnyn lgwyk skhwra mythn sgyan ngwn ythby thgrk ddn bny
“‘“The men of Dedan traded with you. Many islands were the market of your hand. They brought you horns of ivory and ebony in exchange.

מן ארם מיתן סחורא לגויך מסגי עותריך בתכריכין דארגון ורקם ובוץ ציורין ואבנין טבין ומרגלין יהבו בבית גנזיך:
gnzyk bbyth yhbw wmrglyn Tbyn wabnyn tsywryn wbwts wrqm dargwn bthkrykyn ewthryk msgy lgwyk skhwra mythn arm mn
“‘“Syria was your merchant by reason of the multitude of your handiworks. They traded for your wares with emeralds, purple, embroidered work, fine linen, coral, and rubies.

יהודה וארעא דישראל אינון תגריך בהטי ריחוש וקוליא ודבש ומשח ושעיף יהבו בחנותיך:
bkhnwthyk yhbw wsheyp wmshkh wdbsh wqwlya rykhwsh bhTy thgryk aynwn dyshral warea yhwdh
“‘“Judah and the land of Israel were your traders. They traded wheat of Minnith, confections, honey, oil, and balm for your merchandise.

מן דמשק מיתן סחורה לגויך בסגי עותרין מסגי כל עותר בחמר חילת מבשל ועמר מילת כבינא:
kbyna mylth wemr mbshl khylth bkhmr ewthr kl msgy ewthryn bsgy lgwyk skhwrh mythn dmshq mn
“‘“Damascus was your merchant for the multitude of your handiworks by reason of the multitude of all kinds of riches, with the wine of Helbon, and white wool.

ודן ויון בשירין סחורתיך מיתן בערקין דברזל קדה וקנה בשם בחנותיך יהבו:
yhbw bkhnwthyk bshm wqnh qdh dbrzl berqyn mythn skhwrthyk bshyryn wywn wdn
“‘“Vedan and Javan traded with yarn for your wares; wrought iron, cassia, and calamus were among your merchandise.

מן דדן מיתן סחורא לגויך בלבוש דיקר לרתיכין:
lrthykyn dyqr blbwsh lgwyk skhwra mythn ddn mn
“‘“Dedan was your merchant in precious saddle blankets for riding.

ערב וכל רברבי נבט אינון תגריך בתורין ודכרין וגדין בהון הות סחורתיך:
skhwrthyk hwth bhwn wgdyn wdkryn bthwryn thgryk aynwn nbT rbrby wkl erb
“‘“Arabia and all the princes of Kedar were your favorite dealers in lambs, rams, and goats. In these, they were your merchants.

תגרי שבא ורעמה אינון תגריך בריש כל בוסמין ובכל אבנין טבן ודהבא יהבו בבית גנזיך:
gnzyk bbyth yhbw wdhba Tbn abnyn wbkl bwsmyn kl brysh thgryk aynwn wremh shba thgry
“‘“The traders of Sheba and Raamah were your traders. They traded for your wares with the best of all spices, all precious stones, and gold.
23
חרון ונציבין והדיב תגרי שבא מדינן אתור ומדי אינון תגריך:
thgryk aynwn wmdy athwr mdynn shba thgry whdyb wntsybyn khrwn
“‘“Haran, Canneh, Eden, the traders of Sheba, Asshur and Chilmad, were your traders.

אינון תגריך בגמר מיני כל תושבחתא בגוזזין דתכלא וכושפין דארזא באימלין די זהריתא דמחתין בקומטרין חפן גלדין מאסרין באטונין די בוצא חתימין בעזקת גלף עבידת ימא מחתין במגדלי אעי הדסין בהון הות סחורתיך:
skhwrthyk hwth bhwn hdsyn aey bmgdly mkhthyn yma ebydth glp bezqth khthymyn bwtsa dy baTwnyn masryn gldyn khpn bqwmTryn dmkhthyn zhrytha dy baymlyn darza wkwshpyn dthkla bgwzzyn thwshbkhtha kl myny bgmr thgryk aynwn
These were your traders in choice wares, in wrappings of blue and embroidered work, and in cedar chests of rich clothing bound with cords, among your merchandise.

בספיני ימא הוו שיטין ומיתן סחורא לגויך ועתרת ותקיפת לחדא בגו ימיא:
ymya bgw lkhda wthqypth wethrth lgwyk skhwra wmythn shyTyn hww yma bspyny
“‘“The ships of Tarshish were your caravans for your merchandise. You were replenished and made very glorious in the heart of the seas.

במיין סגיאין עלו עלך ובזו יתיך מלך דתקיף כרוח קדומא תבריך בגו ימיא:
ymya bgw thbryk qdwma krwkh dthqyp mlk ythyk wbzw elk elw sgyayn bmyyn
Your rowers have brought you into great waters. The east wind has broken you in the heart of the seas.

עותריך ונכסיך סחורתיך ספניך ופרנסיך מתקפי צורכיך ומיתן סחורת חנותיך וכל גברי עבדי קרביך די ביך וכל משריתיך די בגויך יתרמון בגו ימיא ביום מפלת קטיליך:
qTylyk mplth bywm ymya bgw ythrmwn bgwyk dy mshrythyk wkl byk dy qrbyk ebdy gbry wkl khnwthyk skhwrth wmythn tswrkyk mthqpy wprnsyk spnyk skhwrthyk wnksyk ewthryk
Your riches, your wares, your merchandise, your mariners, your pilots, your repairers of ship seams, the dealers in your merchandise, and all your men of war who are in you, with all your company which is among you, will fall into the heart of the seas in the day of your ruin.

לקל צוחת פרנסיך יזועון פרוריא:
prwrya yzwewn prnsyk tswkhth lql
At the sound of the cry of your pilots, the pasture lands will shake.
29
ויחתון מספיניהון כל אחדי משוט ספנין כל פרנסי ימא על ארעא יקומון:
yqwmwn area el yma prnsy kl spnyn mshwT akhdy kl mspynyhwn wykhthwn
All who handle the oars, the mariners and all the pilots of the sea, will come down from their ships. They will stand on the land,

וישמעון עלך בקליהון ויצוחון במרר ויסקין עפרא על רישיהון בקיטמא יהון חפיפין:
khpypyn yhwn bqyTma ryshyhwn el epra wysqyn bmrr wytswkhwn bqlyhwn elk wyshmewn
and will cause their voice to be heard over you, and will cry bitterly. They will cast up dust on their heads. They will wallow in the ashes.
31
וימרטון עלך מרט וייסרון סקין ויבכון עלך במריר נפש ויעבדון מספד מריר:
mryr mspd wyebdwn npsh bmryr elk wybkwn sqyn wyysrwn mrT elk wymrTwn
They will make themselves bald for you, and clothe themselves with sackcloth. They will weep for you in bitterness of soul, with bitter mourning.
32
ויטלון עלך בעינויהון איליא וילילון עלך מן כצור לית דדמי לה בגו ימיא:
ymya bgw lh ddmy lyth ktswr mn elk wylylwn aylya beynwyhwn elk wyTlwn
In their wailing they will take up a lamentation for you, and lament over you, saying, ‘Who is there like Tyre, like her who is brought to silence in the middle of the sea?’
33
במפק סחורתיך מביני עממיא שבעת עממין סגיאין בסגי עותריך ונכסיך אעתרת מלכי ארעא:
area mlky aethrth wnksyk ewthryk bsgy sgyayn emmyn shbeth emmya mbyny skhwrthyk bmpq
When your wares came from the seas, you filled many peoples. You enriched the kings of the earth with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.
34
כען אתברת דהות מספקא סחורא לעממיא בעומקי ימא סחורתיך וכל משריתיך בגויך נפלו:
nplw bgwyk mshrythyk wkl skhwrthyk yma bewmqy lemmya skhwra mspqa dhwth athbrth ken
In the time that you were broken by the seas, in the depths of the waters, your merchandise and all your company fell within you.
35
כל יתבי נגותא צדיאו עלך ומלכיהון זעו זיע אתרשימו אפיהון:
apyhwn athrshymw zye zew wmlkyhwn elk tsdyaw ngwtha ythby kl
All the inhabitants of the islands are astonished at you, and their kings are horribly afraid. They are troubled in their face.
