ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܩܘܡ ܥܠ ܪ̈ܓܠܝܟ ܐܡܠܠ ܥܡܟ
emk 'mll rglyk el qwm brnsh' ly w'mr
He said to me, “Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.”

ܘܥܠܬ ܒܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܟܕ ܡܡܠܠ ܥܡܝ ܘܐܩܝܡܬܢܝ ܥܠ ܪ̈ܓܠܝ ܘܫܡ̇ܥܬ ܕܡܡܠܠ ܥܡܝ
emy dmmll wshmeth rgly el w'qymthny emy mmll kd rwkh' by welth
The Spirit entered into me when he spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard him who spoke to me.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܡܫܕܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܥܠ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܡܪܘܕܐ ܕܡܪܕܘ ܥܠܝ ܗܢܘܢ ܘܐ̈ܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܥܠܝܘ ܒܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ
lywmn' edm' by w'elyw w'bhyhwn hnwn ely dmrdw mrwd' em' el 'ysryl bny el lk 'n' mshdr brnsh' ly w'mr
He said to me, “Son of man, I send you to the children of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.

ܘܥܠ ܒܢ̈ܝܐ ܕܩܫ̈ܝܢ ܐ̈ܦܝܗܘܢ ܘܥܫܝܢ ܠܒܗܘܢ ܡܫܕܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ
mrwth' mr' 'mr hkn' lhwn 'mr lk 'n' mshdr lbhwn weshyn 'pyhwn dqshyn bny' wel
The children are impudent and stiff-hearted. I am sending you to them, and you shall tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Yahweh says.’

ܟܒܪ ܢܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܢܙܘܥܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܕܢܒܝܐ ܐܢܬ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ
bynthhwn 'nth dnby' wndewn mmrmrn' 'nwn dbyth' mTl wnzwewn nshmewn kbr
They, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse—for they are a rebellious house—yet they will know that there has been a prophet among them.

ܘܐܢܬ ܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܘܡܢ ܡ̈ܠܝܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܙܘܥ ܕܣ̇ܪ̈ܒܝܢ ܘܡܣܠܝܢ ܠܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܢܬ ܥܩܪ̈ܒܐ ܥܡ̇ܪ ܐܢܬ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ ܡܢ ܡ̈ܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܡܢ ܐ̈ܦܝܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܙܘܥ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ
mmrmrn' 'nwn dbyth' mTl thzwe l' 'pyhwn wmn mlyhwn mn thdkhl l' 'nth emr eqrb' dbynth mTl lk wmslyn dsrbyn thzwe l' mlyhwn wmn mnhwn thdkhl l' 'nsh' br w'nth
You, son of man, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.

ܐܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܦܬ̈ܓܡܝ ܟܒܪ ܢܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܢܙܘܥܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ
mmrmrn' 'nwn dbyth' mTl wnzwewn nshmewn kbr pthgmy lhwn 'mr 'l'
You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear or whether they will refuse; for they are most rebellious.

ܐܢܬ ܕܝܢ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܫܡܥ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܡ̇ܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܡܪܡܪܢ ܐܝܟ ܒܝܬܐ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ ܐܠܐ ܦܬܚ ܦܘܡܟ ܘܐܟܘܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܝܗ̇ܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ
lk 'n' dyhb mdm w'kwl pwmk pthkh 'l' mmrmrn' byth' 'yk mmrmrn thhw' l' lk 'n' d'mr mdm shme brnsh' dyn 'nth
But you, son of man, hear what I tell you. Don’t be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth, and eat that which I give you.”

ܘܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܘܗܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܐܬܦܫܛܬ ܠܘܬܝ ܘܐܝܬ ܒܗ̇ ܟܪܟܐ ܕܣܦܪܐ
dspr' krk' bh w'yth lwthy 'thpshTth 'yd' wh' wkhzyth
When I looked, behold, a hand was stretched out to me; and behold, a scroll of a book was in it.

ܘܦܫܛܗ ܩܕܡܝ ܘܟܬܝܒ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܡܢ ܒܣܬܪܗ ܘܟܬ̈ܝܒܢ ܒܗ ܩܝܢ̈ܬܐ ܘܚܫ̈ܒܬܐ ܘܐ̈ܘܠܝܬܐ
w'wlyth' wkhshbth' qynth' bh wkthybn bsthrh wmn qdmwhy mn wkthyb qdmy wpshTh
He spread it before me. It was written within and without; and lamentations, mourning, and woe were written in it.
