1
ואמר לי בר אדם קום על ריגלך ואמלל עמך:
emk wamll ryglk el qwm adm br ly wamr
He said to me, “Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.”

ועלת בי רוחא כד מליל עמי ואקמתני על רגלי ושמעית ית דמתמלל עמי:
emy dmthmll yth wshmeyth rgly el waqmthny emy mlyl kd rwkha by welth
The Spirit entered into me when he spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard him who spoke to me.

ואמר לי בר אדם שלח אנא יתך לות בני ישראל לות עממיא סרבניא דסריבו על מימרי אינון ואבהתהון מרדו במימרי עד כרן יומא הדים:
hdym ywma krn ed bmymry mrdw wabhthhwn aynwn mymry el dsrybw srbnya emmya lwth yshral bny lwth ythk ana shlkh adm br ly wamr
He said to me, “Son of man, I send you to the children of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.

ומתקרן בניא אינון חציפי אפיא ותקיפי לבא אנא שלח יתך לותהון ותימר להון כדנן אמר יי אלהים:
alhym yy amr kdnn lhwn wthymr lwthhwn ythk shlkh ana lba wthqypy apya khtsypy aynwn bnya wmthqrn
The children are impudent and stiff-hearted. I am sending you to them, and you shall tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Yahweh says.’

ואינון אם יקבלון אולפן ואם יתמנעון מלמחטי ארי עם סרבן אינון וידעון די נביא הוה ביניהון:
bynyhwn hwh nbya dy wydewn aynwn srbn em ary mlmkhTy ythmnewn wam awlpn yqblwn am waynwn
They, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse—for they are a rebellious house—yet they will know that there has been a prophet among them.

ואת בר אדם לא תדחל מנהון ומפתגמיהון לא תדחל ארי מסרבין ומקשין לקבלך ובגו עמא דעובדיהון דמן לעקרבין את יתיב מפתגמיהון לא תדחל ומן קדמיהון לא תתבר ארי עם סרבן אינון:
aynwn srbn em ary ththbr la qdmyhwn wmn thdkhl la mpthgmyhwn ythyb ath leqrbyn dmn dewbdyhwn ema wbgw lqblk wmqshyn msrbyn ary thdkhl la wmpthgmyhwn mnhwn thdkhl la adm br wath
You, son of man, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.

ותתנבי ית פתגמי נבואתי להון אם יקבלון אולפן ואם יתמנעון מלמחטי ארי עם סרבן אינון:
aynwn srbn em ary mlmkhTy ythmnewn wam awlpn yqblwn am lhwn nbwathy pthgmy yth wththnby
You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear or whether they will refuse; for they are most rebellious.

ואת בר אדם קבל ית די אנא ממליל עמך לא תהי סרבן כעמא סרבנא ארכין נפשך וקביל ית די אנא יהיב לך:
lk yhyb ana dy yth wqbyl npshk arkyn srbna kema srbn thhy la emk mmlyl ana dy yth qbl adm br wath
But you, son of man, hear what I tell you. Don’t be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth, and eat that which I give you.”

וחזית והא דמות יד מתושטא לצד לותי והא ביה מגלת ספרא:
spra mglth byh wha lwthy ltsd mthwshTa yd dmwth wha wkhzyth
When I looked, behold, a hand was stretched out to me; and behold, a scroll of a book was in it.

ופרס יתה קדמי והא כתיבא מאפהא ומאחורהא מה דהוה מן שרויא ומה דעתיד למהוי בסופא וכתיב בה דאם יעברון בית ישראל על אוריתא ישלטון בהון עממיא ואם יעבדון ית אוריתא יסוף מנהון אליא ודונא ותינחתא:
wthynkhtha wdwna alya mnhwn yswp awrytha yth yebdwn wam emmya bhwn yshlTwn awrytha el yshral byth yebrwn dam bh wkthyb bswpa lmhwy dethyd wmh shrwya mn dhwh mh wmakhwrha mapha kthyba wha qdmy ythh wprs
He spread it before me. It was written within and without; and lamentations, mourning, and woe were written in it.
