ܘܗܘܐ ܒܫܢܬ ܬܠܬܝܢ ܒܚܡܫܬܐ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܪܒܝܥܝܐ ܘܐܢܐ ܒܓܘ ܫܒܝܬܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܥܠ ܢܗܪܟܒܪ ܘܐܬܦܬܚܘ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ

Now in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

In the fifth of the month, which was the fifth year of King Jehoiachin’s captivity,

ܗܘܐ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܚܙܩܝܐܝܠ ܒܪ ܒܘܙܝ ܟܗܢܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܟ̈ܠܕܝܐ ܥܠ ܢܗܪܟܒܪ ܘܗܘܬ ܥܠܝ ܬܡܢ ܐܝܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
hw' pthgmh dmry' el khzqy'yl br bwzy khn' b're' dkldy' el nhrkbr whwth ely thmn 'ydh dmry'
Yahweh’s word came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and Yahweh’s hand was there on him.

ܘܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܘܗܐ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܥܠܥܠܐ ܐ̇ܬܝܐ ܡܢ ܓܪܒܝܐ ܥܢܢܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܘܢܘܪܐ ܕܡܬܓܘܙܠܐ ܘܡܙܗܪܐ ܚܕܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܘܡܢ ܓܘܗ̇ ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܡܢ ܓܘ ܢܘܪܐ
wkhzyth wh' rwkh' delel' 'thy' mn grby' enn' rbth' wnwr' dmthgwzl' wmzhr' khdryh wmn gwh 'yk khzw' mn gw nwr'
I looked, and behold, a stormy wind came out of the north: a great cloud, with flashing lightning, and a brightness around it, and out of the middle of it as it were glowing metal, out of the middle of the fire.

ܘܡܢ ܓܘܗ̇ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܐܪ̈ܒܥ ܚܝ̈ܘܢ ܘܗܢܘ ܚܙܘܗܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܢܫܐ
wmn gwh dmwth' d'rbe khywn whnw khzwhyn 'yk dmwth' dbny 'nsh'
Out of its center came the likeness of four living creatures. This was their appearance: They had the likeness of a man.

ܘܐܪ̈ܒܥ ܐ̈ܦܝܢ ܠܚܕܐ ܘܐܪ̈ܒܥܐ ܓܦܝ̈ܢ
w'rbe 'pyn lkhd' w'rbe' gpyn
Everyone had four faces, and each one of them had four wings.

ܘܪ̈ܓܠܝܗܝܢ ܦܫ̈ܝܛܢ ܘܦܪ̈ܣܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܓܠܝܗܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܦܪ̈ܣܬܐ ܕܥ̈ܓܠܐ ܘܡܒܪ̈ܩܢ ܐܝܟ ܢܚܫܐ ܕܡܒܪܩ
wrglyhyn pshyTn wprsth' drglyhyn 'yk prsth' degl' wmbrqn 'yk nkhsh' dmbrq
Their feet were straight feet. The sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot; and they sparkled like burnished bronze.

ܘܐܝܕܐ ܕܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܓܦܝ̈ܗܝܢ ܡܢ ܐܪ̈ܒܥܐ ܓܒܝ̈ܗܝܢ ܘܐ̈ܦܝܗܝܢ ܘܓܦܝ̈ܗܝܢ ܒܓܒܝ̈ܗܝܢ
w'yd' dbr 'nsh' thkhyth gpyhyn mn 'rbe' gbyhyn w'pyhyn wgpyhyn bgbyhyn
They had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides. The four of them had their faces and their wings like this:

ܘܓܦܝ̈ܗܝܢ ܢܩܝܦܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܘܡܐ ܕܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܠܘܩܒܠܗܝܢ ܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܘܠܐ ܡܬܗ̈ܦܟܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ
wgpyhyn nqypyn hww khd lkhd wm' d'zln hwy lwqblhyn 'zln hwy wl' mthhpkn hwy
Their wings were joined to one another. They didn’t turn when they went. Each one went straight forward.

ܘܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܐ̈ܦܝܗܝܢ ܐ̈ܦܐ ܕܒܪܢܫܐ ܘܐ̈ܦܐ ܕܐܪܝܐ ܒܓܒܝ̈ܗܝܢ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ ܘܐ̈ܦܐ ܕܬܘܪܐ ܘܐ̈ܦܐ ܕܢܫܪܐ ܒܓܒܝ̈ܗܝܢ ܕܣܡܠܐ
wdmwth' d'pyhyn 'p' dbrnsh' w'p' d'ry' bgbyhyn dymyn' w'p' dthwr' w'p' dnshr' bgbyhyn dsml'
As for the likeness of their faces, they had the face of a man. The four of them had the face of a lion on the right side. The four of them had the face of an ox on the left side. The four of them also had the face of an eagle.

ܘܐ̈ܦܝܗܝܢ ܘܓܦܝ̈ܗܝܢ ܦܪ̈ܝܣܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܢ ܠܥܠ ܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܢܩܝܦܝܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܘܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܡܟܣܝܢ ܓܘܫܡܗܝܢ
w'pyhyn wgpyhyn prysyn hww mn lel thryn nqypyn khd lkhd wthryn mksyn gwshmhyn
Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above. Two wings of each one touched another, and two covered their bodies.

ܘܠܘܩܒܠܗܝܢ ܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܠܐܬܪܐ ܕܐ̇ܙܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܬܗ̈ܦܟܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ
wlwqblhyn 'zln hwy l'thr' d'zl' hwth rwkh' wl' mthhpkn hwy
Each one went straight forward. Where the spirit was to go, they went. They didn’t turn when they went.

ܘܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܓܘܡܪ̈ܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܕܝܩ̈ܕܢ ܘܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܠܡܦܐܕܐ ܡܗܠܟܐ ܗܘܬ ܒܝܬ ܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ ܘܡܙܗܪܐ ܗܘܬ ܢܘܪܐ ܘܒܪܩܐ ܢܦ̇ܩ ܗܘܐ ܡܢܗ̇
wdmwth' dkhywth' 'yk khzw' dgwmr' dnwr' dyqdn w'yk khzw' dlmp'd' mhlk' hwth byth khywth' wmzhr' hwth nwr' wbrq' npq hw' mnh
As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches. The fire went up and down among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and lightning went out of the fire.

ܘܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ ܪ̈ܗܛܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܘܠܐ ܡܬ̈ܦܢܝܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܙܝܩܬܐ
wkhywth' rhTn hwy wl' mthpnyn hwy 'yk khzw' dzyqth'
The living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

ܘܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ ܘܗܐ ܓܝ̈ܓܠܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܥܠ ܓܢܒ ܐܪ̈ܒܥܬܝܗܝܢ ܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ
wkhzyth khywth' wh' gygl' b're' el gnb 'rbethyhyn khywth'
Now as I saw the living creatures, behold, there was one wheel on the earth beside the living creatures, for each of the four faces of it.

ܘܚܙܘܐ ܕܓܝ̈ܓܠܐ ܘܥܒ̇ܕܗܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܬܪܫܝܫ ܘܕܡܘܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܠܐܪ̈ܒܥܬܝܗܝܢ ܘܚܙܘܗܝܢ ܘܥܒ̇ܕܗܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܓܝܓܠܐ ܒܓܘ ܓܝܓܠܐ
wkhzw' dgygl' webdhyn 'yk khzw' dthrshysh wdmwth' khd' l'rbethyhyn wkhzwhyn webdhyn 'yk gygl' bgw gygl'
The appearance of the wheels and their work was like a beryl. The four of them had one likeness. Their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel within a wheel.

ܥܠ ܐܪܒܥܐ ܓܒ̈ܝܗܝܢ ܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܘܠܐ ܡܬܗ̈ܦܟܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܘܠܐܬܪܐ ܕܦܢ̇ܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܪܫܝܬܗܝܢ ܠܡܐܙܠ ܒܬܪܗ̇ ܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܘܠܐ ܡܬܗ̈ܦܟܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ
el 'rbe' gbyhyn 'zln hwy wl' mthhpkn hwy wl'thr' dpny' hwth rshythhyn lm'zl bthrh 'zln hwy wl' mthhpkn hwy
When they went, they went in their four directions. They didn’t turn when they went.

ܘܪܘܡܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܚ̈ܨܝܗܝܢ ܘܚ̈ܙܝܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܘܚܨ̈ܝܗܝܢ ܡ̇ܠܐ ܥܝ̈ܢܐ ܕܐܪ̈ܒܥܬܝܗܝܢ ܟܕ ܡܬܟܪ̈ܟܢ
wrwm' 'yth lkhtsyhyn wkhzyn hwy wkhtsyhyn ml' eyn' d'rbethyhyn kd mthkrkn
As for their rims, they were high and dreadful; and the four of them had their rims full of eyes all around.

ܘܟܕ ܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ ܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܓܝ̈ܓܠܐ ܥܡܗܝܢ ܘܡܐ ܕܫ̈ܩܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܫܩ̈ܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܓܝ̈ܓܠܐ ܥܡܗܝܢ
wkd 'zln hwy khywth' 'zln hwy gygl' emhyn wm' dshqln hwy khywth' mn 're' shqln hwy gygl' emhyn
When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them. When the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

ܘܠܐܬܪ ܕܐ̇ܙܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܪܘܚܐ ܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܘܓܝ̈ܓܠܐ ܫܩ̈ܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܥܡܗܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܚܝܬܐ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܬ ܒ̈ܓܝܓܠܐ
wl'thr d'zl' hwth rwkh' 'zln hwy wgygl' shqln hwy emhyn mTl drwkh' khyth' 'yth hwth bgygl'
Wherever the spirit was to go, they went. The spirit was to go there. The wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

ܘܡܐ ܕܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܘܡܐ ܕܩܝ̈ܡܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܩܝ̈ܡܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܘܡܐ ܕܫ̈ܩܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܫܩ̈ܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܓܝ̈ܓܠܐ ܥܡܗܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܚܝܬܐ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܬ ܒ̈ܓܝܓܠܐ
wm' d'zln hwy 'zln hwy wm' dqymn hwy qymn hwy wm' dshqln hwy mn 're' shqln hwy gygl' emhyn mTl drwkh' khyth' 'yth hwth bgygl'
When those went, these went. When those stood, these stood. When those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

ܘܡܬܝܚ ܠܥܠ ܡܢ ܪܝܫܐ ܕܚܝ̈ܘܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܚܙܘܐ ܕܩܪܘܣܛܠܘܣ ܕܚܝܠܐ
wmthykh lel mn rysh' dkhywth' 'yk dmwth' dkhzw' dqrwsTlws dkhyl'
Over the head of the living creature there was the likeness of an expanse, like an awesome crystal to look at, stretched out over their heads above.

ܘܬܚܘܬܘܗܝ ܓܦ̈ܝܗܝܢ ܬܪ̈ܝܨܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܚܕ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܠܥܠ ܘܡܢ ܠܬܚܬ ܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܡܟܣܝܢ ܠܗܝܢ ܘܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܡܟܣܝܢ ܓܘܫܡܗܝܢ
wthkhwthwhy gpyhyn thrytsyn hww khd lwqbl khd mn lel wmn lthkhth thryn mksyn lhyn wthryn mksyn gwshmhyn
Under the expanse, their wings were straight, one toward the other. Each one had two which covered on this side, and each one had two which covered their bodies on that side.

ܘܫܡܥ̇ܬ ܩܠܐ ܕܓܦܝ̈ܗܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܩܠܐ ܕܡ̈ܝܐ ܣܓ̈ܝܐܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܩܠܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܐ ܕܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܘܐܝܟ ܩܠܐ ܕܡܡܠܠܐ ܒܓܘ ܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܘܡܐ ܕܩܝ̈ܡܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܡܫ̈ܠܝܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܓܦܝ̈ܗܝܢ
wshmeth ql' dgpyhyn 'yk ql' dmy' sgy'' w'yk ql' d'lh' m' d'zln hwy w'yk ql' dmmll' bgw mshryth' wm' dqymn hwy mshlyn hwy gpyhyn
When they went, I heard the noise of their wings like the noise of great waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a noise of tumult like the noise of an army. When they stood, they let down their wings.

There was a voice above the expanse that was over their heads. When they stood, they let down their wings.

ܘܠܥܠ ܡܢ ܡܛܠܠܐ ܕܠܥܠ ܡܢ ܪ̈ܝܫܝܗܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܟܐܦܐ ܕܣܦܝܠܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܘܥܠ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܐܝܬ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܠܥܠ
wlel mn mTll' dlel mn ryshyhyn 'yk khzw' dk'p' dspyl' w'yk dmwth' dkwrsy' wel dmwth' dkwrsy' 'yk dmwth' w'yk khzw' dbr 'nsh' 'yth elwhy mn lel
Above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone. On the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man on it above.

ܘܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܡܢ ܠܓܘ ܚܕܪ ܠܗ ܡܢ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܚ̈ܨܘܗܝ ܘܠܥܠ ܘܡܢ ܚ̈ܨܘܗܝ ܘܠܬܚܬ ܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܘܙܗܪܐ ܟܪܟ ܠܗ
wkhzyth 'yk khzw' d'lh' w'yk khzw' dnwr' mn lgw khdr lh mn khzw' dkhtswhy wlel wmn khtswhy wlthkhth khzyth 'yk khzw' dnwr' wzhr' krk lh
I saw as it were glowing metal, as the appearance of fire within it all around, from the appearance of his waist and upward; and from the appearance of his waist and downward I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness around him.

ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܩܫܬܐ ܕܗ̇ܘܝܐ ܒܥ̈ܢܢܐ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܡܛܪܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܗܘܐ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܙܗܪܐ ܕܟܪܟ ܠܗ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܗܘܐ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܩܪܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܚܙܝܬܗ ܘܢܦ̇ܠܬ ܥܠ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܘܫܡܥ̇ܬ ܩܠܗ ܕܡܡܠܠ
'yk khzw' dqshth' dhwy' benn' bywm' dmTr' hkn' hw' khzw' dzhr' dkrk lh whkn' hw' khzw' ddmwth' d'yqrh dmry' wkhzythh wnplth el 'py wshmeth qlh dmmll
As the appearance of the rainbow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of Yahweh’s glory. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke.
