ܘܗܘܐ ܥܠܝ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܐܡܪ

Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

ܒܪܢܫܐ ܐܬܢܒܐ ܥܠ ܢܒ̈ܝܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܡܬܢܒܝܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܬܢܒܝܢ ܡܢ ܠܒܗܘܢ ܫܡܥܘ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ

“Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word:

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܘܝ ܠܢܒ̈ܝܐ ܫ̈ܛܝܐ ܕܐܙ̇ܠܝܢ ܒܬܪ ܪܘܚܗܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܚܙܘ ܚܙܘܐ
hkn' 'mr mr' mrwth' wy lnby' shTy' d'zlyn bthr rwkhhwn dl' khzw khzw'
The Lord Yahweh says, “Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

ܐܝܟ ܬ̈ܥܠܐ ܒܚܪ̈ܒܬܐ ܗܘܘ ܢܒܝܝ̈ܟ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
'yk thel' bkhrbth' hww nbyyk 'ysryl
Israel, your prophets have been like foxes in the waste places.

ܠܐ ܣܠܩܬܘܢ ܒܬܘܪܥܬܐ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܣܓܬܘܢ ܣܝܓܐ ܥܠ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܡܩܡ ܒܩܪܒܐ ܒܝܘܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
l' slqthwn bthwreth' 'p l' sgthwn syg' el dbyth 'ysryl lmqm bqrb' bywmh dmry'
You have not gone up into the gaps or built up the wall for the house of Israel, to stand in the battle in Yahweh’s day.

ܕܐܡ̇ܪܝܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܫܕܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܫܪܝܘ ܠܡܩܡܘ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܓܠܬܐ
d'mryn hkn' 'mr mry' wmry' l' shdr 'nwn wshryw lmqmw mlth' dglth'
They have seen falsehood and lying divination, who say, ‘Yahweh says;’ but Yahweh has not sent them. They have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.

ܚܙܘܐ ܣܪܝܩܐ ܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܘܩܨܡܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܐܡܪܬܘܢ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܢܐ ܠܐ ܐܡ̇ܪܬ

Haven’t you seen a false vision, and haven’t you spoken a lying divination, in that you say, ‘Yahweh says;’ but I have not spoken?”

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܥܠ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܣܪܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܡܠܠܬܘܢ ܕܓܠܘܬܐ ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ
mTl hn' hkn' 'mr mr' mrwth' el dkhzythwn sryqwth' wmllthwn dglwth' h' 'n' elykwn 'mr mr' mrwth'
“‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “Because you have spoken falsehood and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you,” says the Lord Yahweh.

ܘܬܗܘܐ ܐܝܕܝ ܥܠ ܢܒܝ̈ܐ ܕܚܙ̇ܝܢ ܣܪܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܩܨܡܝܢ ܕܓܠܘܬܐ ܒܓܘ ܥܡܝ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܘܒܟܬܒܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܐ ܢܬܟܬܒܘܢ ܘܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܐ ܢܥܠܘܢ ܘܬܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ
wthhw' 'ydy el nby' dkhzyn sryqwth' wqtsmyn dglwth' bgw emy l' nhwwn wbkthb' dbyth 'ysryl l' nthkthbwn wl're' d'ysryl l' nelwn wthdewn d'n' 'n' mr' mrwth'
“My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who utter lying divinations. They will not be in the council of my people, neither will they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither will they enter into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”

ܥܠ ܕܐܛܥܝܘ ܠܥܡܝ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܫܠܡܐ ܘܠܝܬ ܫܠܡܐ ܘܗܘ ܒܢ̇ܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܣܬܐ ܘܗܢܘܢ ܛܪܝܢ ܠܗ̇ ܕܬܦܠ
el d'Teyw lemy w'mrw shlm' wlyth shlm' whw bn' hw' 'sth' whnwn Tryn lh dthpl
“‘Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, “Peace;” and there is no peace. When one builds up a wall, behold, they plaster it with whitewash.

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ̇ܢܘܢ ܕܛܪܝܢ ܠܗ̇ ܕܬܦܠ ܗܐ ܝܗ̇ܒ ܐܢܐ ܡܛܪܐ ܕܓܪܦ ܘܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܕܕܚܪܐ ܢ̈ܦܠܢ ܘܪܘܚܐ ܕܥܠܥܠܐ
'mr lhnwn dTryn lh dthpl h' yhb 'n' mTr' dgrp wk'p' ddkhr' npln wrwkh' delel'
Tell those who plaster it with whitewash that it will fall. There will be an overflowing shower; and you, great hailstones, will fall. A stormy wind will tear it.

ܘܬܬܪܥ ܘܬܦܠ ܐܣܬܐ ܘܢܬܐܡܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܗܘ ܛܪܝܐ ܕܛܪܝܬܘܢ

Behold, when the wall has fallen, won’t it be said to you, “Where is the plaster with which you have plastered it?”

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܐܫܒ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܥܠܥܠܐ ܒܚܡܬܝ ܘܡܛܪܐ ܕܓܪܦ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܪܘܓܙܝ ܘܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܕܕܚܪܐ ܒܚܡܬܝ ܢܘܒ̈ܕܢ
mTl hn' hkn' 'mr mr' mrwth' 'shb rwkh' delel' bkhmthy wmTr' dgrp nhw' brwgzy wk'p' ddkhr' bkhmthy nwbdn
“‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “I will even tear it with a stormy wind in my wrath. There will be an overflowing shower in my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.

ܘܐܣܚܦܝܗ̇ ܠܐܣܬܐ ܕܛܪܝܬܘܢ ܘܬܦܠ ܘܐܪܡܝܗ̇ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܢܬ̈ܓܠܝܢ ܫܬ̈ܐܣܝܗ̇ ܘܬܦܠܘܢ ܘܬܣܘܦܘܢ ܒܓܘܗ̇ ܘܬܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ
w'skhpyh l'sth' dTrythwn wthpl w'rmyh b're' wnthglyn shth'syh wthplwn wthswpwn bgwh wthdewn d'n' 'n' mry'
So I will break down the wall that you have plastered with whitewash, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation will be uncovered. It will fall, and you will be consumed in the middle of it. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.

ܘܐܫܡܠܐ ܪܘܓܙܝ ܒܐܣܬܐ ܘܒܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ̇ ܟܕ ܬܦܠ ܘܢܬܐܡܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܗܝ ܐܣܬܐ ܘܐܝܟܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܗ̇ܢܘܢ ܕܛܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ̇

Thus I will accomplish my wrath on the wall, and on those who have plastered it with whitewash. I will tell you, ‘The wall is no more, nor those who plastered it—

ܗܠܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܒ̈ܝܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܡܬܢܒܝܢ ܥܠ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܚܙ̇ܝܢ ܠܗ̇ ܚ̈ܙܘܐ ܕܫܠܡܐ ܘܠܝܬ ܫܠܡܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ
hlyn 'nwn nby' d'ysryl dmthnbyn el 'wrshlm wkhzyn lh khzw' dshlm' wlyth shlm' 'mr mr' mrwth'
to wit, the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace,’” says the Lord Yahweh.’”

ܘܐܢܬ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܣܝܡ ܐ̈ܦܝܟ ܥܠ ܒܢ̈ܬ ܥܡܟ ܕܡܬܢܒ̈ܝܢ ܡܢ ܠܒܗܝܢ ܘܐܬܢܒܐ ܥܠܝܗܝܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܝܢ

You, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy against them,

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܘܝ ܠܕܚ̈ܝܛܢ ܒܣ̈ܕܘܬܐ ܠܝܨ̈ܝܠܐ ܕܐ̈ܝܕܝܐ ܘܥܒ̈ܕܢ ܬܟܣ̈ܝܬܐ ܠܟܠ ܪܝܫ ܘܠܟܠ ܩܘܡܐ ܠܡܨܕ ܢܦܫ̈ܬܐ ܢܦܫ̈ܬܗ ܕܥܡܝ ܨܝ̈ܕܢ ܐܢܬܝܢ ܘܢܦܫ̈ܬܟܝܢ ܕܝܠܟܝܢ ܡܚ̈ܝܢ ܐܢܬܝܢ

and say, “The Lord Yahweh says: ‘Woe to the women who sew magic bands on all elbows and make veils for the head of persons of every stature to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of my people and save souls alive for yourselves?

ܘܛܘܫܬܢܝܗܝ ܠܥܡܝ ܒܚ̈ܘܦܢܐ ܕܣܥܪ̈ܐ ܘܒܩܨ̈ܝܐ ܕܠܚܡܐ ܠܡܩܛܠ ܢܦܫܬ̈ܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܚܝ̈ܒܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܠܡܡܬ ܘܠܡܚܝܘ ܢܦܫ̈ܬܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܚܝ̈ܒܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܠܡܚܐ ܘܟܕܒܬܝܢ ܠܥܡܐ ܕܫܡ̇ܥ ܟܕܒܘܬܐ

You have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to kill the souls who should not die and to save the souls alive who should not live, by your lying to my people who listen to lies.’

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠ ܒܣ̈ܕܘܬܟܝܢ ܕܨܝ̈ܕܢ ܐܢܬܝܢ ܒܗܘܢ ܢܦܫ̈ܬܐ ܘܐܨܪܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܢ ܕܪ̈ܥܝܟܝܢ ܘܐܫܪܐ ܢܦܫ̈ܬܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܨܝ̈ܕܢ ܐܢܬܝܢ ܘܐܦܪܚ ܐ̈ܢܝܢ

“Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I am against your magic bands, with which you hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms. I will let the souls fly free, even the souls whom you ensnare like birds.

ܘܐܨܪܐ ܡܐܢܝ̈ܟܝܢ ܘܐܦܨܐ ܠܥܡܝ ܡܢ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܟܝܢ ܘܬܘܒ ܠܐ ܢܫܬܠܡܘܢ ܒܡܨܝܕܬܐ ܒܐ̈ܝܕܝܟܝܢ ܘܬܕܥ̈ܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ
w'tsr' m'nykyn w'pts' lemy mn 'ydykyn wthwb l' nshthlmwn bmtsydth' b'ydykyn wthden d'n' 'n' mry'
I will also tear your veils and deliver my people out of your hand; and they will no longer be in your hand to be ensnared. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.

ܥܠ ܕܡܚܝ̈ܬܝܢ ܠܒܗ ܕܙܕܝܩܐ ܒܕܓܠܘܬܐ ܘܐܢܐ ܠܐ ܐܟܐܒܬܗ ܘܚܡܣܢܬܝܢ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܐ ܕܥ̇ܘ̈ܠܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܗܦܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܗܘܢ ܒܝܫܬ̈ܐ ܘܢܚܘܢ
el dmkhythyn lbh dzdyq' bdglwth' w'n' l' 'k'bthh wkhmsnthyn 'ydy' dewl' dl' nhpkwn mn 'wrkhthhwn byshth' wnkhwn
Because with lies you have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive.

ܡܟܝܠ ܣܪܝܩܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܚ̈ܙܝܢ ܘܬܘܒ ܩܨܡܐ ܠܐ ܬܩܨ̈ܡܢ ܘܐܦܨܐ ܠܥܡܝ ܡܢ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܟܝܢ ܘܬ̈ܕܥܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ

Therefore you shall no more see false visions nor practice divination. I will deliver my people out of your hand. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.’”
