והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמי למימר:
lmymr emy yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

בר אדם אתנבי על נביי שקרא דמתנבן ותימר לדמתנבן ברעות לבהון קבילו פתגמא דיי:
dyy pthgma qbylw lbhwn brewth ldmthnbn wthymr dmthnbn shqra nbyy el athnby adm br
“Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word:

כדנן אמר יי אלהים וי על נביי שקרא דמשתטן דאזלין בתר הרהור לבהון ומדעם לא חזן:
khzn la wmdem lbhwn hrhwr bthr dazlyn dmshthTn shqra nbyy el wy alhym yy amr kdnn
The Lord Yahweh says, “Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

כתעלין בחרבתא נביי שקרך ישראל הוו:
hww yshral shqrk nbyy bkhrbtha kthelyn
Israel, your prophets have been like foxes in the waste places.

לא קמתון בתרעתא ולא עבדתון לכון עובדין טבין למבעי על בית ישראל למיקם למבעי עליהון רחמין בעדן דאתו עליהון עבדי קרבא ביום רוגזא דיי:
dyy rwgza bywm qrba ebdy elyhwn dathw bedn rkhmyn elyhwn lmbey lmyqm yshral byth el lmbey Tbyn ewbdyn lkwn ebdthwn wla bthretha qmthwn la
You have not gone up into the gaps or built up the wall for the house of Israel, to stand in the battle in Yahweh’s day.

מתנבן שקר ומלפן כדבין אמרין אמר יי ויי לא שלחינון ומחצפין דתתקיים מלתהון:
mlthhwn dththqyym wmkhtspyn shlkhynwn la wyy yy amr amryn kdbyn wmlpn shqr mthnbn
They have seen falsehood and lying divination, who say, ‘Yahweh says;’ but Yahweh has not sent them. They have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.

הלא נבואן דשקר אתנביתון וקסם כדבין אמרתון ואמרין אמר יי ומן קדם יי לא אתמלל:
athmll la yy qdm wmn yy amr wamryn amrthwn kdbyn wqsm athnbythwn dshqr nbwan hla
Haven’t you seen a false vision, and haven’t you spoken a lying divination, in that you say, ‘Yahweh says;’ but I have not spoken?”

בכן כדנן יי אלהים חלף דאתנביתון שקר ואלפתון כדבין בכן הא אנא שלח רוגזי עליכון אמר יי אלהים:
alhym yy amr elykwn rwgzy shlkh ana ha bkn kdbyn walpthwn shqr dathnbythwn khlp alhym yy kdnn bkn
“‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “Because you have spoken falsehood and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you,” says the Lord Yahweh.

ותהי מחת גבורתי על נביי שקרא דמתנבן שקר ומלפין כדיבין ברז טב דגניז לעמי לא יהון ובכתב חיי עלמא דכתיב לצדיקי בית ישראל לא יתכתבון ולארעא דישראל לא יעלון ותידעון ארי אנא יי אלהים:
alhym yy ana ary wthydewn yelwn la dyshral wlarea ythkthbwn la yshral byth ltsdyqy dkthyb elma khyy wbkthb yhwn la lemy dgnyz Tb brz kdybyn wmlpyn shqr dmthnbn shqra nbyy el gbwrthy mkhth wthhy
“My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who utter lying divinations. They will not be in the council of my people, neither will they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither will they enter into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”

חלף דאתנביאו שקר וחלף דאטעיאו ית עמי למימר שלמא ולית שלם ואינון דמן לדבני מחיצא ושעיע ליה טין פטיר דלא תבן:
thbn dla pTyr Tyn lyh wsheye mkhytsa ldbny dmn waynwn shlm wlyth shlma lmymr emy yth daTeyaw wkhlp shqr dathnbyaw khlp
“‘Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, “Peace;” and there is no peace. When one builds up a wall, behold, they plaster it with whitewash.

אמר לדבני מחיצא ושעיא ליה טין פטיר דלא תבן נפיל הוא כען יהי מטר מגבר וית אבני אלגביש יחתן ורוח עלעולין תבזע:
thbze elewlyn wrwkh ykhthn algbysh abny wyth mgbr mTr yhy ken hwa npyl thbn dla pTyr Tyn lyh wsheya mkhytsa ldbny amr
Tell those who plaster it with whitewash that it will fall. There will be an overflowing shower; and you, great hailstones, will fall. A stormy wind will tear it.

והא נפל כתלא הלא יתאמר לכון אן שיעא דשעתון:
dshethwn shyea an lkwn ythamr hla kthla npl wha
Behold, when the wall has fallen, won’t it be said to you, “Where is the plaster with which you have plastered it?”

בכן כדנן אמר יי אלהים ואיתי מלך דתקיף ברוח עלעולין בחמתי ועממין קטולין כמטר מגבר ברוגזי ייתון ומלכון דחסינין כאבני אלגביש ברגז לשיצאה:
lshytsah brgz algbysh kabny dkhsynyn wmlkwn yythwn brwgzy mgbr kmTr qTwlyn wemmyn bkhmthy elewlyn brwkh dthqyp mlk waythy alhym yy amr kdnn bkn
“‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “I will even tear it with a stormy wind in my wrath. There will be an overflowing shower in my anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.

ואפגר ית קרתא דאתנביתון בה נבואן דשקר וארמינה לארעא ויתגלון אושהא ותפל ותשתיצון בגוה ותידעון ארי אנא יי:
yy ana ary wthydewn bgwh wthshthytswn wthpl awshha wythglwn larea warmynh dshqr nbwan bh dathnbythwn qrtha yth wapgr
So I will break down the wall that you have plastered with whitewash, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation will be uncovered. It will fall, and you will be consumed in the middle of it. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.

ויחול רוגזי בקרתא ובנביי שקרא דאתנביאו בה נבואן דשקר ויתאמר לכון לית קרתא ולית נביי שקרא:
shqra nbyy wlyth qrtha lyth lkwn wythamr dshqr nbwan bh dathnbyaw shqra wbnbyy bqrtha rwgzy wykhwl
Thus I will accomplish my wrath on the wall, and on those who have plastered it with whitewash. I will tell you, ‘The wall is no more, nor those who plastered it—

נביי שקרא דישראל דמתנבין על ירושלם ומטעין לה באולפן שלם ולית שלם אמר יי אלהים:
alhym yy amr shlm wlyth shlm bawlpn lh wmTeyn yrwshlm el dmthnbyn dyshral shqra nbyy
to wit, the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace,’” says the Lord Yahweh.’”

ואת בר אדם קביל נבואה על בנת עמך דמתנבן כרעות לבהון ואתנבי עליהן:
elyhn wathnby lbhwn krewth dmthnbn emk bnth el nbwah qbyl adm br wath
You, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy against them,

ותימר כדנן יי אלהים וי עליהון על דמחטטן רקיעי חשוך על כל מרפקי ידין ועבדן פת כומרין על ריש כל קומה לאבדא נפשן הנפשות עמי אתן יכלן לאבדא ולקימא הלא נפשתכן דילכן הלא יכלתין לקימא:
lqyma yklthyn hla dylkn npshthkn hla wlqyma labda ykln athn emy hnpshwth npshn labda qwmh kl rysh el kwmryn pth webdn ydyn mrpqy kl el khshwk rqyey dmkhTTn el elyhwn wy alhym yy kdnn wthymr
and say, “The Lord Yahweh says: ‘Woe to the women who sew magic bands on all elbows and make veils for the head of persons of every stature to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of my people and save souls alive for yourselves?

ואחלתין רעותי בעמי בשעלי סערן ובמנוסין דלחים לאמתא נפשן דלא חזי להין דימותון לא אתן ממיתן ולקימא נפשן דלא חזי להין לקימא דתתקימן לא אתין מקימן בכדבותכין לעמי שמעי כדבין:
kdbyn shmey lemy bkdbwthkyn mqymn athyn la dththqymn lqyma lhyn khzy dla npshn wlqyma mmythn athn la dymwthwn lhyn khzy dla npshn lamtha dlkhym wbmnwsyn sern bshely bemy rewthy wakhlthyn
You have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to kill the souls who should not die and to save the souls alive who should not live, by your lying to my people who listen to lies.’

בכן כדנן אמר יי אלהים הא אנא שלח רוגזי על רקיעי חשיכין דאתין מטעין למימר בהון אנחנא מחרשן ית נפשן לאבדא ואפסיק יתהין מעל דרעיכון ואשיזיב ית נפשתא דאתון מחרשן ית נפשיהן לאבדותהא:
labdwthha npshyhn yth mkhrshn dathwn npshtha yth washyzyb dreykwn mel ythhyn wapsyq labda npshn yth mkhrshn ankhna bhwn lmymr mTeyn dathyn khshykyn rqyey el rwgzy shlkh ana ha alhym yy amr kdnn bkn
“Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I am against your magic bands, with which you hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms. I will let the souls fly free, even the souls whom you ensnare like birds.
21
ואפסיק ית פת כומריכון ואשיזיב ית עמי מידכון ולא יתמסרון עוד בידכון לאשתיצאה ותידעון ארי אנא יי:
yy ana ary wthydewn lashthytsah bydkwn ewd ythmsrwn wla mydkwn emy yth washyzyb kwmrykwn pth yth wapsyq
I will also tear your veils and deliver my people out of your hand; and they will no longer be in your hand to be ensnared. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.

חלף דאכהיתן לב זכאי למהוי שקר ומן קדם מימרי לא אתבהי ולתקפא ידי רשיעא בדיל דלא למיתב מאורחיה בישתא לקימותיה:
lqymwthyh byshtha mawrkhyh lmythb dla bdyl rshyea ydy wlthqpa athbhy la mymry qdm wmn shqr lmhwy zkay lb dakhythn khlp
Because with lies you have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive.

בכן שקר לא תתנבאון ואולפן לא תילפון עוד ואשיזיב ית עמי מידכון ותידעון ארי אנא יי:
yy ana ary wthydewn mydkwn emy yth washyzyb ewd thylpwn la wawlpn ththnbawn la shqr bkn
Therefore you shall no more see false visions nor practice divination. I will deliver my people out of your hand. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.’”
