ואמר יי למשה עול לות פרעה ותמלל עמיה כדנן אמר יי אלהא דיהודאי שלח ית עמי ויפלחון קדמי:
wamr yy lmshh ewl lwth preh wthmll emyh kdnn amr yy alha dyhwday shlkh yth emy wyplkhwn qdmy
Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.

ארי אם סריב את לשלחא ועד כען את מתקף בהון:
ary am sryb ath lshlkha wed ken ath mthqp bhwn
For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still,

הא מחא מן קדם יי הויא בבעירך דבחקלא בסוסותא בחמרי בגמלי בתורי ובענא מותא תקיף לחדא:
ha mkha mn qdm yy hwya bbeyrk dbkhqla bswswtha bkhmry bgmly bthwry wbena mwtha thqyp lkhda
behold, Yahweh’s hand is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.

ואפרש יי בין בעירא דישראל ובין בעירא דמצרים ולא ימות מכל לבני ישראל מדעם:
waprsh yy byn beyra dyshral wbyn beyra dmtsrym wla ymwth mkl lbny yshral mdem
Yahweh will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt; and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.”’”

ושוי יי זמנא למימר מחר יעבד יי פתגמא הדין בארעא:
wshwy yy zmna lmymr mkhr yebd yy pthgma hdyn barea
Yahweh appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow Yahweh shall do this thing in the land.”

ועבד יי ית פתגמא הדין ביומא דבתרוהי ומית כל בעירא דמצרים ומבעירא דבני ישראל לא מית חד:
webd yy yth pthgma hdyn bywma dbthrwhy wmyth kl beyra dmtsrym wmbeyra dbny yshral la myth khd
Yahweh did that thing on the next day; and all the livestock of Egypt died, but of the livestock of the children of Israel, not one died.

ושלח פרעה והא לא מית מבעירא דישראל עד חד ואתיקר לבא דפרעה ולא שלח ית עמא:
wshlkh preh wha la myth mbeyra dyshral ed khd wathyqr lba dpreh wla shlkh yth ema
Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the livestock of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he didn’t let the people go.

ואמר יי למשה ולאהרן סיבו לכון מלי חפניכון פיחא דאתונא ויזרקניה משה לצית שמיא לעיני פרעה
wamr yy lmshh wlahrn sybw lkwn mly khpnykwn pykha dathwna wyzrqnyh mshh ltsyth shmya leyny preh
Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron, “Take handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh.

ויהי לאבקא על כל ארעא דמצרים ויהי על אנשא ועל בעירא לשיחנא סגי אבעבעין בכל ארעא דמצרים:
wyhy labqa el kl area dmtsrym wyhy el ansha wel beyra lshykhna sgy abebeyn bkl area dmtsrym
It shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be boils and blisters breaking out on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Egypt.”

ונסיבו ית פיחא דאתונא וקמו קדם פרעה וזרק יתיה משה לצית שמיא והוה שיחנא אבעבעין סגי באנשא ובבעירא:
wnsybw yth pykha dathwna wqmw qdm preh wzrq ythyh mshh ltsyth shmya whwh shykhna abebeyn sgy bansha wbbeyra
They took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward the sky; and it became boils and blisters breaking out on man and on animal.

ולא יכילו חרשיא למיקם קדם משה מין קדם שיחנא ארי הוה שיחנא בחרשיא ובכל מצראי:
wla ykylw khrshya lmyqm qdm mshh myn qdm shykhna ary hwh shykhna bkhrshya wbkl mtsray
The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians and on all the Egyptians.

ותקיף יי ית לבא דפרעה ולא קביל מנהון כמא דמליל יי עם משה:
wthqyp yy yth lba dpreh wla qbyl mnhwn kma dmlyl yy em mshh
Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken to Moses.

ואמר יי למשה אקדם בצפרא ואתעתד קדם פרעה ותימר ליה כדנן אמר יי אלהא דיהודאי שלח ית עמי ויפלחון קדמי:
wamr yy lmshh aqdm btspra wathethd qdm preh wthymr lyh kdnn amr yy alha dyhwday shlkh yth emy wyplkhwn qdmy
Yahweh said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.

ארי בזמנא הדא אנא שלח ית כל מחתי ללבך ובעבדיך ובעמך בדיל דתדע ארי לית דכותי שליט בכל ארעא:
ary bzmna hda ana shlkh yth kl mkhthy llbk wbebdyk wbemk bdyl dthde ary lyth dkwthy shlyT bkl area
For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.

ארי כען קריב קדמי דאשלח פון ית מחת גברתי ואמחי יתך וית עמך במותא ושיציאת מן ארעא:
ary ken qryb qdmy dashlkh pwn yth mkhth gbrthy wamkhy ythk wyth emk bmwtha wshytsyath mn area
For now I would have stretched out my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth;

וברם בדיל דא קימתך בדיל לאחזיותך ית חילי ובדיל דיהון משתען גבורת שמי בכל ארעא:
wbrm bdyl da qymthk bdyl lakhzywthk yth khyly wbdyl dyhwn mshthen gbwrth shmy bkl area
but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth,

עד כען את כבישת ביה בעמי בדיל דלא לשלחותהון:
ed ken ath kbyshth byh bemy bdyl dla lshlkhwthhwn
because you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won’t let them go.
18
הא אנא מחית מטרא בעדנא הדין מחר ברדא תקיף לחדא די לא הוה דכותיה במצרים למן יומא דאשתכללת ועד כען:
ha ana mkhyth mTra bedna hdyn mkhr brda thqyp lkhda dy la hwh dkwthyh bmtsrym lmn ywma dashthkllth wed ken
Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.

וכען שלח כנוש ית בעירך וית כל די לך בחקלא כל אנשא ובעירא דאשתכח בחקלא ולא יתכנש לביתא ויחות עליהון ברדא וימותון:
wken shlkh knwsh yth beyrk wyth kl dy lk bkhqla kl ansha wbeyra dashthkkh bkhqla wla ythknsh lbytha wykhwth elyhwn brda wymwthwn
Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. The hail will come down on every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn’t brought home, and they will die.”’”
20
דדחיל מפתגמא דיי מעבדי פרעה כנש ית עבדוהי וית גיתוהי לבתיא:
ddkhyl mpthgma dyy mebdy preh knsh yth ebdwhy wyth gythwhy lbthya
Those who feared Yahweh’s word among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses.
21
ודי לא שוי לביה לפתגמא דיי שבק ית עבדוהי וית גיתוהי בחקלא:
wdy la shwy lbyh lpthgma dyy shbq yth ebdwhy wyth gythwhy bkhqla
Whoever didn’t respect Yahweh’s word left his servants and his livestock in the field.
22
ואמר יי למשה ארים ית ידך על צית שמיא ויהי ברדא בכל ארעא דמצראי על אנשא ועל בעירא ועל כל עסבא דחקלא בארעא דמצרים:
wamr yy lmshh arym yth ydk el tsyth shmya wyhy brda bkl area dmtsray el ansha wel beyra wel kl esba dkhqla barea dmtsrym
Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.”

וארים משה ית חטריה על צית שמיא ויי יהב קלין וברדא ומהלכא אשתא על ארעא ואמטר יי ברדא על ארעא דמצרים:
warym mshh yth khTryh el tsyth shmya wyy yhb qlyn wbrda wmhlka ashtha el area wamTr yy brda el area dmtsrym
Moses stretched out his rod toward the heavens, and Yahweh sent thunder and hail; and lightning flashed down to the earth. Yahweh rained hail on the land of Egypt.

והוה ברדא ואשתא משתלהבת בגו ברדא תקיף לחדא די לא הוה דכותיה בכל ארעא דמצרים מעדן דהות לעם:
whwh brda washtha mshthlhbth bgw brda thqyp lkhda dy la hwh dkwthyh bkl area dmtsrym medn dhwth lem
So there was very severe hail, and lightning mixed with the hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25
ומחא ברדא בכל ארעא דמצרים ית כל די בחקלא מאנשא ועד בעירא וית כל עסבא דחקלא מחא ברדא וית כל אילן דבחקלא תבר:
wmkha brda bkl area dmtsrym yth kl dy bkhqla mansha wed beyra wyth kl esba dkhqla mkha brda wyth kl ayln dbkhqla thbr
The hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and animal; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.
26
לחוד בארעא דגשן די תמן בני ישראל לא הוא ברדא:
lkhwd barea dgshn dy thmn bny yshral la hwa brda
Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.
27
ושלח פרעה וקרא למשה ולאהרן ואמר להון חבית זמנא הדא יי זכאה ואנא ועמי חיבין:
wshlkh preh wqra lmshh wlahrn wamr lhwn khbyth zmna hda yy zkah wana wemy khybyn
Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. Yahweh is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28
צלו קדם יי וסגי קדמוהי רוח דלא יהון עלנא קלין דלוט כאלין מן קדם יי וברדא ואשלח יתכון ולא תוספון לאתעכבא:
tslw qdm yy wsgy qdmwhy rwkh dla yhwn elna qlyn dlwT kalyn mn qdm yy wbrda washlkh ythkwn wla thwspwn lathekba
Pray to Yahweh; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.”
29
ואמר ליה משה כמפקי מן קרתא אפרוש ידי בצלו קדם יי קליא יתמנעון וברדא לא יהי עוד בדיל דתדע ארי דיי ארעא:
wamr lyh mshh kmpqy mn qrtha aprwsh ydy btslw qdm yy qlya ythmnewn wbrda la yhy ewd bdyl dthde ary dyy area
Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to Yahweh. The thunders shall cease, and there will not be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is Yahweh’s.
30
ואת ועבדיך ידענא ארי עד כען לא אתכנעתון מן קדם יי אלהים:
wath webdyk ydena ary ed ken la athknethwn mn qdm yy alhym
But as for you and your servants, I know that you don’t yet fear Yahweh God.”
31
וכתנא וסערי לקו ארי סערניא אביבין וכתנא גבעולין:
wkthna wsery lqw ary sernya abybyn wkthna gbewlyn
The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley had ripened and the flax was blooming.
32
וחטאה וכנתיא לא לקו ארי אפילתא אנון:
wkhTah wknthya la lqw ary apyltha anwn
But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they had not grown up.
33
ונפק משה מלות פרעה ית קרתא ופרש ידוהי בצלו קדם יי ויתמנעון קליא וברדא ומטרא דהוה נחית לא מטא על ארעא:
wnpq mshh mlwth preh yth qrtha wprsh ydwhy btslw qdm yy wythmnewn qlya wbrda wmTra dhwh nkhyth la mTa el area
Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread out his hands to Yahweh; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth.
34
וחזא פרעה ארי אתמנע מטרא וברדא וקליא ואוסף למחטי ויקריה ללביה הוא ועבדוהי:
wkhza preh ary athmne mTra wbrda wqlya wawsp lmkhTy wyqryh llbyh hwa webdwhy
When Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders had ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
35
ואתקף לבא דפרעה ולא שלח ית בני ישראל כמא די מליל יי בידא דמשה:
wathqp lba dpreh wla shlkh yth bny yshral kma dy mlyl yy byda dmshh
The heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go, just as Yahweh had spoken through Moses.
