ואמר יי למשה עול לות פרעה ותמלל עמיה כדנן אמר יי אלהא דיהודאי שלח ית עמי ויפלחון קדמי:
qdmy wyplkhwn emy yth shlkh dyhwday alha yy amr kdnn emyh wthmll preh lwth ewl lmshh yy wamr
Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.

ארי אם סריב את לשלחא ועד כען את מתקף בהון:
bhwn mthqp ath ken wed lshlkha ath sryb am ary
For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still,

הא מחא מן קדם יי הויא בבעירך דבחקלא בסוסותא בחמרי בגמלי בתורי ובענא מותא תקיף לחדא:
lkhda thqyp mwtha wbena bthwry bgmly bkhmry bswswtha dbkhqla bbeyrk hwya yy qdm mn mkha ha
behold, Yahweh’s hand is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.

ואפרש יי בין בעירא דישראל ובין בעירא דמצרים ולא ימות מכל לבני ישראל מדעם:
mdem yshral lbny mkl ymwth wla dmtsrym beyra wbyn dyshral beyra byn yy waprsh
Yahweh will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt; and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.”’”

ושוי יי זמנא למימר מחר יעבד יי פתגמא הדין בארעא:
barea hdyn pthgma yy yebd mkhr lmymr zmna yy wshwy
Yahweh appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow Yahweh shall do this thing in the land.”

ועבד יי ית פתגמא הדין ביומא דבתרוהי ומית כל בעירא דמצרים ומבעירא דבני ישראל לא מית חד:
khd myth la yshral dbny wmbeyra dmtsrym beyra kl wmyth dbthrwhy bywma hdyn pthgma yth yy webd
Yahweh did that thing on the next day; and all the livestock of Egypt died, but of the livestock of the children of Israel, not one died.

ושלח פרעה והא לא מית מבעירא דישראל עד חד ואתיקר לבא דפרעה ולא שלח ית עמא:
ema yth shlkh wla dpreh lba wathyqr khd ed dyshral mbeyra myth la wha preh wshlkh
Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the livestock of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he didn’t let the people go.

ואמר יי למשה ולאהרן סיבו לכון מלי חפניכון פיחא דאתונא ויזרקניה משה לצית שמיא לעיני פרעה
preh leyny shmya ltsyth mshh wyzrqnyh dathwna pykha khpnykwn mly lkwn sybw wlahrn lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron, “Take handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh.

ויהי לאבקא על כל ארעא דמצרים ויהי על אנשא ועל בעירא לשיחנא סגי אבעבעין בכל ארעא דמצרים:
dmtsrym area bkl abebeyn sgy lshykhna beyra wel ansha el wyhy dmtsrym area kl el labqa wyhy
It shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be boils and blisters breaking out on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Egypt.”

ונסיבו ית פיחא דאתונא וקמו קדם פרעה וזרק יתיה משה לצית שמיא והוה שיחנא אבעבעין סגי באנשא ובבעירא:
wbbeyra bansha sgy abebeyn shykhna whwh shmya ltsyth mshh ythyh wzrq preh qdm wqmw dathwna pykha yth wnsybw
They took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward the sky; and it became boils and blisters breaking out on man and on animal.

ולא יכילו חרשיא למיקם קדם משה מין קדם שיחנא ארי הוה שיחנא בחרשיא ובכל מצראי:
mtsray wbkl bkhrshya shykhna hwh ary shykhna qdm myn mshh qdm lmyqm khrshya ykylw wla
The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians and on all the Egyptians.

ותקיף יי ית לבא דפרעה ולא קביל מנהון כמא דמליל יי עם משה:
mshh em yy dmlyl kma mnhwn qbyl wla dpreh lba yth yy wthqyp
Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken to Moses.

ואמר יי למשה אקדם בצפרא ואתעתד קדם פרעה ותימר ליה כדנן אמר יי אלהא דיהודאי שלח ית עמי ויפלחון קדמי:
qdmy wyplkhwn emy yth shlkh dyhwday alha yy amr kdnn lyh wthymr preh qdm wathethd btspra aqdm lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.

ארי בזמנא הדא אנא שלח ית כל מחתי ללבך ובעבדיך ובעמך בדיל דתדע ארי לית דכותי שליט בכל ארעא:
area bkl shlyT dkwthy lyth ary dthde bdyl wbemk wbebdyk llbk mkhthy kl yth shlkh ana hda bzmna ary
For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.

ארי כען קריב קדמי דאשלח פון ית מחת גברתי ואמחי יתך וית עמך במותא ושיציאת מן ארעא:
area mn wshytsyath bmwtha emk wyth ythk wamkhy gbrthy mkhth yth pwn dashlkh qdmy qryb ken ary
For now I would have stretched out my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth;

וברם בדיל דא קימתך בדיל לאחזיותך ית חילי ובדיל דיהון משתען גבורת שמי בכל ארעא:
area bkl shmy gbwrth mshthen dyhwn wbdyl khyly yth lakhzywthk bdyl qymthk da bdyl wbrm
but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth,

עד כען את כבישת ביה בעמי בדיל דלא לשלחותהון:
lshlkhwthhwn dla bdyl bemy byh kbyshth ath ken ed
because you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won’t let them go.
18
הא אנא מחית מטרא בעדנא הדין מחר ברדא תקיף לחדא די לא הוה דכותיה במצרים למן יומא דאשתכללת ועד כען:
ken wed dashthkllth ywma lmn bmtsrym dkwthyh hwh la dy lkhda thqyp brda mkhr hdyn bedna mTra mkhyth ana ha
Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.

וכען שלח כנוש ית בעירך וית כל די לך בחקלא כל אנשא ובעירא דאשתכח בחקלא ולא יתכנש לביתא ויחות עליהון ברדא וימותון:
wymwthwn brda elyhwn wykhwth lbytha ythknsh wla bkhqla dashthkkh wbeyra ansha kl bkhqla lk dy kl wyth beyrk yth knwsh shlkh wken
Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. The hail will come down on every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn’t brought home, and they will die.”’”

דדחיל מפתגמא דיי מעבדי פרעה כנש ית עבדוהי וית גיתוהי לבתיא:
lbthya gythwhy wyth ebdwhy yth knsh preh mebdy dyy mpthgma ddkhyl
Those who feared Yahweh’s word among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses.

ודי לא שוי לביה לפתגמא דיי שבק ית עבדוהי וית גיתוהי בחקלא:
bkhqla gythwhy wyth ebdwhy yth shbq dyy lpthgma lbyh shwy la wdy
Whoever didn’t respect Yahweh’s word left his servants and his livestock in the field.

ואמר יי למשה ארים ית ידך על צית שמיא ויהי ברדא בכל ארעא דמצראי על אנשא ועל בעירא ועל כל עסבא דחקלא בארעא דמצרים:
dmtsrym barea dkhqla esba kl wel beyra wel ansha el dmtsray area bkl brda wyhy shmya tsyth el ydk yth arym lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.”

וארים משה ית חטריה על צית שמיא ויי יהב קלין וברדא ומהלכא אשתא על ארעא ואמטר יי ברדא על ארעא דמצרים:
dmtsrym area el brda yy wamTr area el ashtha wmhlka wbrda qlyn yhb wyy shmya tsyth el khTryh yth mshh warym
Moses stretched out his rod toward the heavens, and Yahweh sent thunder and hail; and lightning flashed down to the earth. Yahweh rained hail on the land of Egypt.

והוה ברדא ואשתא משתלהבת בגו ברדא תקיף לחדא די לא הוה דכותיה בכל ארעא דמצרים מעדן דהות לעם:
lem dhwth medn dmtsrym area bkl dkwthyh hwh la dy lkhda thqyp brda bgw mshthlhbth washtha brda whwh
So there was very severe hail, and lightning mixed with the hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

ומחא ברדא בכל ארעא דמצרים ית כל די בחקלא מאנשא ועד בעירא וית כל עסבא דחקלא מחא ברדא וית כל אילן דבחקלא תבר:
thbr dbkhqla ayln kl wyth brda mkha dkhqla esba kl wyth beyra wed mansha bkhqla dy kl yth dmtsrym area bkl brda wmkha
The hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and animal; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.

לחוד בארעא דגשן די תמן בני ישראל לא הוא ברדא:
brda hwa la yshral bny thmn dy dgshn barea lkhwd
Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.
27
ושלח פרעה וקרא למשה ולאהרן ואמר להון חבית זמנא הדא יי זכאה ואנא ועמי חיבין:
khybyn wemy wana zkah yy hda zmna khbyth lhwn wamr wlahrn lmshh wqra preh wshlkh
Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. Yahweh is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

צלו קדם יי וסגי קדמוהי רוח דלא יהון עלנא קלין דלוט כאלין מן קדם יי וברדא ואשלח יתכון ולא תוספון לאתעכבא:
lathekba thwspwn wla ythkwn washlkh wbrda yy qdm mn kalyn dlwT qlyn elna yhwn dla rwkh qdmwhy wsgy yy qdm tslw
Pray to Yahweh; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.”

ואמר ליה משה כמפקי מן קרתא אפרוש ידי בצלו קדם יי קליא יתמנעון וברדא לא יהי עוד בדיל דתדע ארי דיי ארעא:
area dyy ary dthde bdyl ewd yhy la wbrda ythmnewn qlya yy qdm btslw ydy aprwsh qrtha mn kmpqy mshh lyh wamr
Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to Yahweh. The thunders shall cease, and there will not be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is Yahweh’s.

ואת ועבדיך ידענא ארי עד כען לא אתכנעתון מן קדם יי אלהים:
alhym yy qdm mn athknethwn la ken ed ary ydena webdyk wath
But as for you and your servants, I know that you don’t yet fear Yahweh God.”
31
וכתנא וסערי לקו ארי סערניא אביבין וכתנא גבעולין:
gbewlyn wkthna abybyn sernya ary lqw wsery wkthna
The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley had ripened and the flax was blooming.
32
וחטאה וכנתיא לא לקו ארי אפילתא אנון:
anwn apyltha ary lqw la wknthya wkhTah
But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they had not grown up.
33
ונפק משה מלות פרעה ית קרתא ופרש ידוהי בצלו קדם יי ויתמנעון קליא וברדא ומטרא דהוה נחית לא מטא על ארעא:
area el mTa la nkhyth dhwh wmTra wbrda qlya wythmnewn yy qdm btslw ydwhy wprsh qrtha yth preh mlwth mshh wnpq
Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread out his hands to Yahweh; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth.
34
וחזא פרעה ארי אתמנע מטרא וברדא וקליא ואוסף למחטי ויקריה ללביה הוא ועבדוהי:
webdwhy hwa llbyh wyqryh lmkhTy wawsp wqlya wbrda mTra athmne ary preh wkhza
When Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders had ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
