1
ואתיב משה ואמר והא לא יהמנון לי ולא יקבלון מני ארי יימרון לא אתגלי לך יי:
yy lk athgly la yymrwn ary mny yqblwn wla ly yhmnwn la wha wamr mshh wathyb
Moses answered, “But, behold, they will not believe me, nor listen to my voice; for they will say, ‘Yahweh has not appeared to you.’”

ואמר לה יי מא דין בידך ואמר חוטרא:
khwTra wamr bydk dyn ma yy lh wamr
Yahweh said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.”

ואמר רמיהי לארעא ורמהי לארעא והוה לחוי וערק משה מן קדמוהי:
qdmwhy mn mshh werq lkhwy whwh larea wrmhy larea rmyhy wamr
He said, “Throw it on the ground.” He threw it on the ground, and it became a snake; and Moses ran away from it.

ואמר יי למשה אושט ידך ואחוד בזנבה ואושיט ידה ואתקף בה והוה לחוטרא בידה:
bydh lkhwTra whwh bh wathqp ydh wawshyT bznbh wakhwd ydk awshT lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand, and take it by the tail.” He stretched out his hand, and took hold of it, and it became a rod in his hand.

בדיל דיהמנון ארי אתגלי לך יי אלהא דאבהתהון אלהה דאברהם אלהה דיצחק ואלהה דיעקב:
dyeqb walhh dytskhq alhh dabrhm alhh dabhthhwn alha yy lk athgly ary dyhmnwn bdyl
“This is so that they may believe that Yahweh, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”

ואמר יי לה עוד אעיל כען ידך בעטפך ואעיל ידה בעטפה ואפקה והא ידה חורא כתלגא:
kthlga khwra ydh wha wapqh beTph ydh waeyl beTpk ydk ken aeyl ewd lh yy wamr
Yahweh said furthermore to him, “Now put your hand inside your cloak.” He put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as white as snow.

ואמר אתיב ידך לעטפך ואתיב ידה לעטפה ואפקה מעטפה והא תבת הות כבשרה:
kbshrh hwth thbth wha meTph wapqh leTph ydh wathyb leTpk ydk athyb wamr
He said, “Put your hand inside your cloak again.” He put his hand inside his cloak again, and when he took it out of his cloak, behold, it had turned again as his other flesh.

ויהי אם לא יהמנון לך ולא יקבלון לקל אתא קדמאה ויהמנון לקל אתא בתראה:
bthrah atha lql wyhmnwn qdmah atha lql yqblwn wla lk yhmnwn la am wyhy
“It will happen, if they will not believe you or listen to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

ויהי אם לא יהמנון אף לתרין אתיא האלין ולא יקבלון מנך ותסב ממיא דבנהרא ותשוד ליבשתא ויהון מיא די תסב מן נהרא ויהון לדמא ביבשתא:
bybshtha ldma wyhwn nhra mn thsb dy mya wyhwn lybshtha wthshwd dbnhra mmya wthsb mnk yqblwn wla halyn athya lthryn ap yhmnwn la am wyhy
It will happen, if they will not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it on the dry land. The water which you take out of the river will become blood on the dry land.”

ואמר משה קדם יי בבעו יי לא גבר דמלול אנא אף מתמלי אף מדקמוהי אף מעדן דמללתא עם עבדך ארי יקיר ממלל ועמיק לישן אנא:
ana lyshn wemyq mmll yqyr ary ebdk em dmlltha medn ap mdqmwhy ap mthmly ap ana dmlwl gbr la yy bbew yy qdm mshh wamr
Moses said to Yahweh, “O Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before now, nor since you have spoken to your servant; for I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.”

ואמר יי לה מן שוי פומא לאנשא או מן שוי אלמא או חרשא או פקחא או עוירא הלא אנא יי:
yy ana hla ewyra aw pqkha aw khrsha aw alma shwy mn aw lansha pwma shwy mn lh yy wamr
Yahweh said to him, “Who made man’s mouth? Or who makes one mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Isn’t it I, Yahweh?

וכען אזיל ומימרי יהא עם פומך ואלפנך די תמלל:
thmll dy walpnk pwmk em yha wmymry azyl wken
Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak.”

ואמר בבעו יי שלח כען ביד מן דכשר דתשלח:
dthshlkh dkshr mn byd ken shlkh yy bbew wamr
Moses said, “Oh, Lord, please send someone else.”

ותקיף רוגזא דיי במשה ואמר הלא אהרן אחוך לואי גלי קדמי ארי מללא ימלל הוא ואף הא הוא נפק לקדמותך ויחזנך ויחדי בלבה:
blbh wykhdy wykhznk lqdmwthk npq hwa ha wap hwa ymll mlla ary qdmy gly lway akhwk ahrn hla wamr bmshh dyy rwgza wthqyp
Yahweh’s anger burned against Moses, and he said, “What about Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Also, behold, he is coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.

ותמלל עמה ותשוי ית פתגמיא בפומה ומימרי יהי עם פומך ועם פומה ואליף יתכון ית די תעבדון:
thebdwn dy yth ythkwn walyp pwmh wem pwmk em yhy wmymry bpwmh pthgmya yth wthshwy emh wthmll
You shall speak to him, and put the words in his mouth. I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what you shall do.

וימלל הוא לך לעמא ויהי הוא יהי לך למתרגמן ואת תהי לה לרב:
lrb lh thhy wath lmthrgmn lk yhy hwa wyhy lema lk hwa wymll
He will be your spokesman to the people. It will happen that he will be to you a mouth, and you will be to him as God.

וית חטרא הדין תסב בידך דתעבד בה ית אתיא:
athya yth bh dthebd bydk thsb hdyn khTra wyth
You shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.”

ואזל משה ותב לות יתר חמוהי ואמר לה איזיל כען ואיתוב לות אחי די במצרים ואחזי העד כען קימין ואמר יתרו למשה אזיל לשלם:
lshlm azyl lmshh ythrw wamr qymyn ken hed wakhzy bmtsrym dy akhy lwth waythwb ken ayzyl lh wamr khmwhy ythr lwth wthb mshh wazl
Moses went and returned to Jethro his father-in-law, and said to him, “Please let me go and return to my brothers who are in Egypt, and see whether they are still alive.” Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”

ואמר יי למשה במדין אזיל תוב למצרים ארי מיתו כל גבריא דבעו למקטלך:
lmqTlk dbew gbrya kl mythw ary lmtsrym thwb azyl bmdyn lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses in Midian, “Go, return into Egypt; for all the men who sought your life are dead.”

ודבר משה ית אתתה וית בנוהי וארכבנון על חמרא ותב לארעא דמצרים ונסיב משה ית חוטרא דאתעבידו בה נסין מן קדם יי בידה:
bydh yy qdm mn nsyn bh dathebydw khwTra yth mshh wnsyb dmtsrym larea wthb khmra el warkbnwn bnwhy wyth aththh yth mshh wdbr
Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them on a donkey, and he returned to the land of Egypt. Moses took God’s rod in his hand.

ואמר יי למשה במהכך למתוב למצרים חזי כל מופתיא די שויתי בידך ותעבדנון קדם פרעה ואנא אתקיף ית לבה ולא ישלח ית עמא:
ema yth yshlkh wla lbh yth athqyp wana preh qdm wthebdnwn bydk shwythy dy mwpthya kl khzy lmtsrym lmthwb bmhkk lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “When you go back into Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in your hand, but I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go.

ותימר לות פרעה כדנן אמר יי ברי בוכרי ישראל:
yshral bwkry bry yy amr kdnn preh lwth wthymr
You shall tell Pharaoh, ‘Yahweh says, Israel is my son, my firstborn,

ואמרית לך שלח ית ברי ויפלח קדמי ואם סריב את לשלחותה הא אנא קטיל ית ברך בוכרך:
bwkrk brk yth qTyl ana ha lshlkhwthh ath sryb wam qdmy wyplkh bry yth shlkh lk wamryth
and I have said to you, “Let my son go, that he may serve me;” and you have refused to let him go. Behold, I will kill your firstborn son.’”

והוה בארחא בבית מבתא וערע בה מלאכא דיי ובעא למקטלה:
lmqTlh wbea dyy mlaka bh were mbtha bbyth barkha whwh
On the way at a lodging place, Yahweh met Moses and wanted to kill him.

ונסיבת צפורה טנרא וגזרת ית ערלת ברה וקריבת לקדמוהי ואמרת ארי בדמא דמהלתא הדין אתיהב חתנא לנא:
lna khthna athyhb hdyn dmhltha bdma ary wamrth lqdmwhy wqrybth brh erlth yth wgzrth Tnra tspwrh wnsybth
Then Zipporah took a flint, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet; and she said, “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me.”

ונח מנה בכן אמרת אלולי דמא דמהלתא הדין אתחיב חתנא קטול:
qTwl khthna athkhyb hdyn dmhltha dma alwly amrth bkn mnh wnkh
So he let him alone. Then she said, “You are a bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.

ואמר יי לאהרן אזיל לקדמות משה למדברא ואזל וערעה בטורא דאתגלי עלוהי יקרא דיי ונשק לה:
lh wnshq dyy yqra elwhy dathgly bTwra wereh wazl lmdbra mshh lqdmwth azyl lahrn yy wamr
Yahweh said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” He went, and met him on God’s mountain, and kissed him.

וחוי משה לאהרן ית כל פתגמיא דיי די שלחה וית כל אתיא די פקדה:
pqdh dy athya kl wyth shlkhh dy dyy pthgmya kl yth lahrn mshh wkhwy
Moses told Aaron all Yahweh’s words with which he had sent him, and all the signs with which he had instructed him.

ואזל משה ואהרן וכנשו ית כל סבי בני ישראל:
yshral bny sby kl yth wknshw wahrn mshh wazl
Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel.
30
ומליל אהרן ית כל פתגמיא די מליל יי עם משה ועבד אתיא לעיני עמא:
ema leyny athya webd mshh em yy mlyl dy pthgmya kl yth ahrn wmlyl
Aaron spoke all the words which Yahweh had spoken to Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

והימן עמא ושמעו ארי דכיר יי ית בני ישראל וארי גלי קדמוהי ית שעבודהון וכרעו וסגידו:
wsgydw wkrew shebwdhwn yth qdmwhy gly wary yshral bny yth yy dkyr ary wshmew ema whymn
The people believed, and when they heard that Yahweh had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.
