ואתיב משה ואמר והא לא יהמנון לי ולא יקבלון מני ארי יימרון לא אתגלי לך יי:
wathyb mshh wamr wha la yhmnwn ly wla yqblwn mny ary yymrwn la athgly lk yy
Moses answered, “But, behold, they will not believe me, nor listen to my voice; for they will say, ‘Yahweh has not appeared to you.’”

ואמר לה יי מא דין בידך ואמר חוטרא:
wamr lh yy ma dyn bydk wamr khwTra
Yahweh said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.”

ואמר רמיהי לארעא ורמהי לארעא והוה לחוי וערק משה מן קדמוהי:
wamr rmyhy larea wrmhy larea whwh lkhwy werq mshh mn qdmwhy
He said, “Throw it on the ground.” He threw it on the ground, and it became a snake; and Moses ran away from it.

ואמר יי למשה אושט ידך ואחוד בזנבה ואושיט ידה ואתקף בה והוה לחוטרא בידה:
wamr yy lmshh awshT ydk wakhwd bznbh wawshyT ydh wathqp bh whwh lkhwTra bydh
Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand, and take it by the tail.” He stretched out his hand, and took hold of it, and it became a rod in his hand.

בדיל דיהמנון ארי אתגלי לך יי אלהא דאבהתהון אלהה דאברהם אלהה דיצחק ואלהה דיעקב:
bdyl dyhmnwn ary athgly lk yy alha dabhthhwn alhh dabrhm alhh dytskhq walhh dyeqb
“This is so that they may believe that Yahweh, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”

ואמר יי לה עוד אעיל כען ידך בעטפך ואעיל ידה בעטפה ואפקה והא ידה חורא כתלגא:
wamr yy lh ewd aeyl ken ydk beTpk waeyl ydh beTph wapqh wha ydh khwra kthlga
Yahweh said furthermore to him, “Now put your hand inside your cloak.” He put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as white as snow.

ואמר אתיב ידך לעטפך ואתיב ידה לעטפה ואפקה מעטפה והא תבת הות כבשרה:
wamr athyb ydk leTpk wathyb ydh leTph wapqh meTph wha thbth hwth kbshrh
He said, “Put your hand inside your cloak again.” He put his hand inside his cloak again, and when he took it out of his cloak, behold, it had turned again as his other flesh.

ויהי אם לא יהמנון לך ולא יקבלון לקל אתא קדמאה ויהמנון לקל אתא בתראה:
wyhy am la yhmnwn lk wla yqblwn lql atha qdmah wyhmnwn lql atha bthrah
“It will happen, if they will not believe you or listen to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

ויהי אם לא יהמנון אף לתרין אתיא האלין ולא יקבלון מנך ותסב ממיא דבנהרא ותשוד ליבשתא ויהון מיא די תסב מן נהרא ויהון לדמא ביבשתא:
wyhy am la yhmnwn ap lthryn athya halyn wla yqblwn mnk wthsb mmya dbnhra wthshwd lybshtha wyhwn mya dy thsb mn nhra wyhwn ldma bybshtha
It will happen, if they will not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it on the dry land. The water which you take out of the river will become blood on the dry land.”

ואמר משה קדם יי בבעו יי לא גבר דמלול אנא אף מתמלי אף מדקמוהי אף מעדן דמללתא עם עבדך ארי יקיר ממלל ועמיק לישן אנא:
wamr mshh qdm yy bbew yy la gbr dmlwl ana ap mthmly ap mdqmwhy ap medn dmlltha em ebdk ary yqyr mmll wemyq lyshn ana
Moses said to Yahweh, “O Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before now, nor since you have spoken to your servant; for I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.”

ואמר יי לה מן שוי פומא לאנשא או מן שוי אלמא או חרשא או פקחא או עוירא הלא אנא יי:
wamr yy lh mn shwy pwma lansha aw mn shwy alma aw khrsha aw pqkha aw ewyra hla ana yy
Yahweh said to him, “Who made man’s mouth? Or who makes one mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Isn’t it I, Yahweh?

וכען אזיל ומימרי יהא עם פומך ואלפנך די תמלל:
wken azyl wmymry yha em pwmk walpnk dy thmll
Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak.”

ואמר בבעו יי שלח כען ביד מן דכשר דתשלח:
wamr bbew yy shlkh ken byd mn dkshr dthshlkh
Moses said, “Oh, Lord, please send someone else.”

ותקיף רוגזא דיי במשה ואמר הלא אהרן אחוך לואי גלי קדמי ארי מללא ימלל הוא ואף הא הוא נפק לקדמותך ויחזנך ויחדי בלבה:
wthqyp rwgza dyy bmshh wamr hla ahrn akhwk lway gly qdmy ary mlla ymll hwa wap ha hwa npq lqdmwthk wykhznk wykhdy blbh
Yahweh’s anger burned against Moses, and he said, “What about Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Also, behold, he is coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.

ותמלל עמה ותשוי ית פתגמיא בפומה ומימרי יהי עם פומך ועם פומה ואליף יתכון ית די תעבדון:
wthmll emh wthshwy yth pthgmya bpwmh wmymry yhy em pwmk wem pwmh walyp ythkwn yth dy thebdwn
You shall speak to him, and put the words in his mouth. I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what you shall do.
16
וימלל הוא לך לעמא ויהי הוא יהי לך למתרגמן ואת תהי לה לרב:
wymll hwa lk lema wyhy hwa yhy lk lmthrgmn wath thhy lh lrb
He will be your spokesman to the people. It will happen that he will be to you a mouth, and you will be to him as God.

וית חטרא הדין תסב בידך דתעבד בה ית אתיא:
wyth khTra hdyn thsb bydk dthebd bh yth athya
You shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.”
18
ואזל משה ותב לות יתר חמוהי ואמר לה איזיל כען ואיתוב לות אחי די במצרים ואחזי העד כען קימין ואמר יתרו למשה אזיל לשלם:
wazl mshh wthb lwth ythr khmwhy wamr lh ayzyl ken waythwb lwth akhy dy bmtsrym wakhzy hed ken qymyn wamr ythrw lmshh azyl lshlm
Moses went and returned to Jethro his father-in-law, and said to him, “Please let me go and return to my brothers who are in Egypt, and see whether they are still alive.” Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”

ואמר יי למשה במדין אזיל תוב למצרים ארי מיתו כל גבריא דבעו למקטלך:
wamr yy lmshh bmdyn azyl thwb lmtsrym ary mythw kl gbrya dbew lmqTlk
Yahweh said to Moses in Midian, “Go, return into Egypt; for all the men who sought your life are dead.”

ודבר משה ית אתתה וית בנוהי וארכבנון על חמרא ותב לארעא דמצרים ונסיב משה ית חוטרא דאתעבידו בה נסין מן קדם יי בידה:
wdbr mshh yth aththh wyth bnwhy warkbnwn el khmra wthb larea dmtsrym wnsyb mshh yth khwTra dathebydw bh nsyn mn qdm yy bydh
Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them on a donkey, and he returned to the land of Egypt. Moses took God’s rod in his hand.

ואמר יי למשה במהכך למתוב למצרים חזי כל מופתיא די שויתי בידך ותעבדנון קדם פרעה ואנא אתקיף ית לבה ולא ישלח ית עמא:
wamr yy lmshh bmhkk lmthwb lmtsrym khzy kl mwpthya dy shwythy bydk wthebdnwn qdm preh wana athqyp yth lbh wla yshlkh yth ema
Yahweh said to Moses, “When you go back into Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in your hand, but I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go.

ותימר לות פרעה כדנן אמר יי ברי בוכרי ישראל:
wthymr lwth preh kdnn amr yy bry bwkry yshral
You shall tell Pharaoh, ‘Yahweh says, Israel is my son, my firstborn,

ואמרית לך שלח ית ברי ויפלח קדמי ואם סריב את לשלחותה הא אנא קטיל ית ברך בוכרך:
wamryth lk shlkh yth bry wyplkh qdmy wam sryb ath lshlkhwthh ha ana qTyl yth brk bwkrk
and I have said to you, “Let my son go, that he may serve me;” and you have refused to let him go. Behold, I will kill your firstborn son.’”

והוה בארחא בבית מבתא וערע בה מלאכא דיי ובעא למקטלה:
whwh barkha bbyth mbtha were bh mlaka dyy wbea lmqTlh
On the way at a lodging place, Yahweh met Moses and wanted to kill him.
25
ונסיבת צפורה טנרא וגזרת ית ערלת ברה וקריבת לקדמוהי ואמרת ארי בדמא דמהלתא הדין אתיהב חתנא לנא:
wnsybth tspwrh Tnra wgzrth yth erlth brh wqrybth lqdmwhy wamrth ary bdma dmhltha hdyn athyhb khthna lna
Then Zipporah took a flint, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet; and she said, “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me.”

ונח מנה בכן אמרת אלולי דמא דמהלתא הדין אתחיב חתנא קטול:
wnkh mnh bkn amrth alwly dma dmhltha hdyn athkhyb khthna qTwl
So he let him alone. Then she said, “You are a bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.
27
ואמר יי לאהרן אזיל לקדמות משה למדברא ואזל וערעה בטורא דאתגלי עלוהי יקרא דיי ונשק לה:
wamr yy lahrn azyl lqdmwth mshh lmdbra wazl wereh bTwra dathgly elwhy yqra dyy wnshq lh
Yahweh said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” He went, and met him on God’s mountain, and kissed him.

וחוי משה לאהרן ית כל פתגמיא דיי די שלחה וית כל אתיא די פקדה:
wkhwy mshh lahrn yth kl pthgmya dyy dy shlkhh wyth kl athya dy pqdh
Moses told Aaron all Yahweh’s words with which he had sent him, and all the signs with which he had instructed him.

ואזל משה ואהרן וכנשו ית כל סבי בני ישראל:
wazl mshh wahrn wknshw yth kl sby bny yshral
Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel.
30
ומליל אהרן ית כל פתגמיא די מליל יי עם משה ועבד אתיא לעיני עמא:
wmlyl ahrn yth kl pthgmya dy mlyl yy em mshh webd athya leyny ema
Aaron spoke all the words which Yahweh had spoken to Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

והימן עמא ושמעו ארי דכיר יי ית בני ישראל וארי גלי קדמוהי ית שעבודהון וכרעו וסגידו:
whymn ema wshmew ary dkyr yy yth bny yshral wary gly qdmwhy yth shebwdhwn wkrew wsgydw
The people believed, and when they heard that Yahweh had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.
