ומליל יי עם משה אזיל סק מכא את ועמא דאסקתא מארעא דמצרים לארעא די קימית לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב למימר לבניך אתננה:

Yahweh spoke to Moses, “Depart, go up from here, you and the people that you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’

ואשלח קדמך מלאכא ואתרך ית כנענאי אמוראי וחתאי ופרזאי חואי ויבוסאי:
washlkh qdmk mlaka wathrk yth knenay amwray wkhthay wprzay khway wybwsay
I will send an angel before you; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

לארעא עבדא חלב ודבש ארי לא אסלק שכנתי מבינך ארי עם קשי קדל את דילמא אשיצנך בארחא:
larea ebda khlb wdbsh ary la aslq shknthy mbynk ary em qshy qdl ath dylma ashytsnk barkha
Go to a land flowing with milk and honey; but I will not go up among you, for you are a stiff-necked people, lest I consume you on the way.”

ושמע עמא ית פתגמא בישא הדין ואתאבלו ולא שויו גבר תקון זיניה עלוהי:
wshme ema yth pthgma bysha hdyn wathablw wla shwyw gbr thqwn zynyh elwhy
When the people heard this evil news, they mourned; and no one put on his jewelry.

ואמר יי למשה אימר לבני ישראל אתון עם קשי קדל שעה חדא אסלק שכנתי מבינך ואשצנך וכען אעדי תקון זינך מנך וגלי קדמי מה אעבד לך:
wamr yy lmshh aymr lbny yshral athwn em qshy qdl sheh khda aslq shknthy mbynk washtsnk wken aedy thqwn zynk mnk wgly qdmy mh aebd lk
Yahweh had said to Moses, “Tell the children of Israel, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go up among you for one moment, I would consume you. Therefore now take off your jewelry from you, that I may know what to do to you.’”

ואעדיאו בני ישראל ית תקון זיניהון מטורא דחורב:
waedyaw bny yshral yth thqwn zynyhwn mTwra dkhwrb
The children of Israel stripped themselves of their jewelry from Mount Horeb onward.

ומשה נסיב ית משכנא ופרסיה ליה מברא למשריתא ארחיק מן משריתא וקרי ליה משכן בית אולפנא ויהי כל דתבע אולפן מן קדם יי נפק למשכן בית אולפנא מברא למשריתא:
wmshh nsyb yth mshkna wprsyh lyh mbra lmshrytha arkhyq mn mshrytha wqry lyh mshkn byth awlpna wyhy kl dthbe awlpn mn qdm yy npq lmshkn byth awlpna mbra lmshrytha
Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far away from the camp, and he called it “The Tent of Meeting.” Everyone who sought Yahweh went out to the Tent of Meeting, which was outside the camp.

והוה כד נפק משה למשכנא קימין כל עמא ומתעתדין גבר בתרע משכנא ומסתכלין אחורי משה עד דעלל למשכנא:
whwh kd npq mshh lmshkna qymyn kl ema wmthethdyn gbr bthre mshkna wmsthklyn akhwry mshh ed dell lmshkna
When Moses went out to the Tent, all the people rose up, and stood, everyone at their tent door, and watched Moses, until he had gone into the Tent.

והוה כד עלל משה למשכנא נחית עמודא דעננא וקאם בתרע משכנא ומתמלל עם משה:
whwh kd ell mshh lmshkna nkhyth emwda denna wqam bthre mshkna wmthmll em mshh
When Moses entered into the Tent, the pillar of cloud descended, stood at the door of the Tent, and Yahweh spoke with Moses.

וחזן כל עמא ית עמודא דעננא קאם בתרע משכנא וקימין כל עמא וסגדין גבר בתרע משכניה:
wkhzn kl ema yth emwda denna qam bthre mshkna wqymyn kl ema wsgdyn gbr bthre mshknyh
All the people saw the pillar of cloud stand at the door of the Tent, and all the people rose up and worshiped, everyone at their tent door.

ומתמלל יי עם משה ממלל עם ממלל כמא דממלל גבר עם חבריה ותב למשריתא ומשומשניה יהושע בר נון עולימא לא עדי מגו משכנא:
wmthmll yy em mshh mmll em mmll kma dmmll gbr em khbryh wthb lmshrytha wmshwmshnyh yhwshe br nwn ewlyma la edy mgw mshkna
Yahweh spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. He turned again into the camp, but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, didn’t depart from the Tent.

ואמר משה קדם יי חזי דאת אמר לי אסיק ית עמא הדין ואת לא הודעתני ית די תשלח עמי ואת אמרת רביתך בשום ואף אשכחתא רחמין קדמי:
wamr mshh qdm yy khzy dath amr ly asyq yth ema hdyn wath la hwdethny yth dy thshlkh emy wath amrth rbythk bshwm wap ashkkhtha rkhmyn qdmy
Moses said to Yahweh, “Behold, you tell me, ‘Bring up this people;’ and you haven’t let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.’

וכען אם כען אשכחית רחמין קדמך הודעני כען ית אורח טובך ואדע רחמך בדיל דאשכח רחמין קדמך וגלי קדמך ארי עמך עמא הדין:
wken am ken ashkkhyth rkhmyn qdmk hwdeny ken yth awrkh Twbk wade rkhmk bdyl dashkkh rkhmyn qdmk wgly qdmk ary emk ema hdyn
Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me your way, now, that I may know you, so that I may find favor in your sight; and consider that this nation is your people.”

ואמר שכנתי תהך ואניח לך:
wamr shknthy thhk wanykh lk
He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
15
ואמר קדמוהי אם לית שכנתך מהלכא ביננא לא תסקיננא מכא:
wamr qdmwhy am lyth shknthk mhlka bynna la thsqynna mka
Moses said to him, “If your presence doesn’t go with me, don’t carry us up from here.
16
ובמה יתידע הכא ארי אשכחית רחמין קדמך אנא ועמך הלא במהך שכנתך עמנא ויתעבדן לנא פרישן לי ולעמך משני מכל עמא די על אפי ארעא:
wbmh ythyde hka ary ashkkhyth rkhmyn qdmk ana wemk hla bmhk shknthk emna wythebdn lna pryshn ly wlemk mshny mkl ema dy el apy area
For how would people know that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Isn’t it that you go with us, so that we are separated, I and your people, from all the people who are on the surface of the earth?”

ואמר יי למשה אף ית פתגמא הדין די מללתא אעבד ארי אשכחתא רחמין קדמי ורביתך בשום:
wamr yy lmshh ap yth pthgma hdyn dy mlltha aebd ary ashkkhtha rkhmyn qdmy wrbythk bshwm
Yahweh said to Moses, “I will do this thing also that you have spoken; for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”

ואמר אחזיני כען ית יקרך:
wamr akhzyny ken yth yqrk
Moses said, “Please show me your glory.”
19
ואמר אנא אעבר כל טובי על אפיך ואקרי בשמא דיי קדמך ואחון למן דאחון וארחם על מן דארחם:
wamr ana aebr kl Twby el apyk waqry bshma dyy qdmk wakhwn lmn dakhwn warkhm el mn darkhm
He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim Yahweh’s name before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”

ואמר לא תיכול למחזי ית אפי שכנתי ארי לא יחזינני אנשא ויתקים:
wamr la thykwl lmkhzy yth apy shknthy ary la ykhzynny ansha wythqym
He said, “You cannot see my face, for man may not see me and live.”
21
ואמר יי הא אתר מתקן קדמי ותתעתד על טנרא:
wamr yy ha athr mthqn qdmy wththethd el Tnra
Yahweh also said, “Behold, there is a place by me, and you shall stand on the rock.
22
ויהי במעבר יקרי ואשוינך במערת טנרא ואגין במימרי עלך עד דאעבר:
wyhy bmebr yqry washwynk bmerth Tnra wagyn bmymry elk ed daebr
It will happen, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by;

ואעדי ית דברת יקרי ותחזי ית דבתרי ודקדמי לא יתחזון:
waedy yth dbrth yqry wthkhzy yth dbthry wdqdmy la ythkhzwn
then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back; but my face shall not be seen.”
