ומליל יי עם משה אזיל סק מכא את ועמא דאסקתא מארעא דמצרים לארעא די קימית לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב למימר לבניך אתננה:
athnnh lbnyk lmymr wlyeqb lytskhq labrhm qymyth dy larea dmtsrym marea dasqtha wema ath mka sq azyl mshh em yy wmlyl
Yahweh spoke to Moses, “Depart, go up from here, you and the people that you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’

ואשלח קדמך מלאכא ואתרך ית כנענאי אמוראי וחתאי ופרזאי חואי ויבוסאי:
wybwsay khway wprzay wkhthay amwray knenay yth wathrk mlaka qdmk washlkh
I will send an angel before you; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

לארעא עבדא חלב ודבש ארי לא אסלק שכנתי מבינך ארי עם קשי קדל את דילמא אשיצנך בארחא:
barkha ashytsnk dylma ath qdl qshy em ary mbynk shknthy aslq la ary wdbsh khlb ebda larea
Go to a land flowing with milk and honey; but I will not go up among you, for you are a stiff-necked people, lest I consume you on the way.”

ושמע עמא ית פתגמא בישא הדין ואתאבלו ולא שויו גבר תקון זיניה עלוהי:
elwhy zynyh thqwn gbr shwyw wla wathablw hdyn bysha pthgma yth ema wshme
When the people heard this evil news, they mourned; and no one put on his jewelry.

ואמר יי למשה אימר לבני ישראל אתון עם קשי קדל שעה חדא אסלק שכנתי מבינך ואשצנך וכען אעדי תקון זינך מנך וגלי קדמי מה אעבד לך:
lk aebd mh qdmy wgly mnk zynk thqwn aedy wken washtsnk mbynk shknthy aslq khda sheh qdl qshy em athwn yshral lbny aymr lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh had said to Moses, “Tell the children of Israel, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go up among you for one moment, I would consume you. Therefore now take off your jewelry from you, that I may know what to do to you.’”

ואעדיאו בני ישראל ית תקון זיניהון מטורא דחורב:
dkhwrb mTwra zynyhwn thqwn yth yshral bny waedyaw
The children of Israel stripped themselves of their jewelry from Mount Horeb onward.

ומשה נסיב ית משכנא ופרסיה ליה מברא למשריתא ארחיק מן משריתא וקרי ליה משכן בית אולפנא ויהי כל דתבע אולפן מן קדם יי נפק למשכן בית אולפנא מברא למשריתא:
lmshrytha mbra awlpna byth lmshkn npq yy qdm mn awlpn dthbe kl wyhy awlpna byth mshkn lyh wqry mshrytha mn arkhyq lmshrytha mbra lyh wprsyh mshkna yth nsyb wmshh
Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far away from the camp, and he called it “The Tent of Meeting.” Everyone who sought Yahweh went out to the Tent of Meeting, which was outside the camp.

והוה כד נפק משה למשכנא קימין כל עמא ומתעתדין גבר בתרע משכנא ומסתכלין אחורי משה עד דעלל למשכנא:
lmshkna dell ed mshh akhwry wmsthklyn mshkna bthre gbr wmthethdyn ema kl qymyn lmshkna mshh npq kd whwh
When Moses went out to the Tent, all the people rose up, and stood, everyone at their tent door, and watched Moses, until he had gone into the Tent.

והוה כד עלל משה למשכנא נחית עמודא דעננא וקאם בתרע משכנא ומתמלל עם משה:
mshh em wmthmll mshkna bthre wqam denna emwda nkhyth lmshkna mshh ell kd whwh
When Moses entered into the Tent, the pillar of cloud descended, stood at the door of the Tent, and Yahweh spoke with Moses.

וחזן כל עמא ית עמודא דעננא קאם בתרע משכנא וקימין כל עמא וסגדין גבר בתרע משכניה:
mshknyh bthre gbr wsgdyn ema kl wqymyn mshkna bthre qam denna emwda yth ema kl wkhzn
All the people saw the pillar of cloud stand at the door of the Tent, and all the people rose up and worshiped, everyone at their tent door.

ומתמלל יי עם משה ממלל עם ממלל כמא דממלל גבר עם חבריה ותב למשריתא ומשומשניה יהושע בר נון עולימא לא עדי מגו משכנא:
mshkna mgw edy la ewlyma nwn br yhwshe wmshwmshnyh lmshrytha wthb khbryh em gbr dmmll kma mmll em mmll mshh em yy wmthmll
Yahweh spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. He turned again into the camp, but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, didn’t depart from the Tent.

ואמר משה קדם יי חזי דאת אמר לי אסיק ית עמא הדין ואת לא הודעתני ית די תשלח עמי ואת אמרת רביתך בשום ואף אשכחתא רחמין קדמי:
qdmy rkhmyn ashkkhtha wap bshwm rbythk amrth wath emy thshlkh dy yth hwdethny la wath hdyn ema yth asyq ly amr dath khzy yy qdm mshh wamr
Moses said to Yahweh, “Behold, you tell me, ‘Bring up this people;’ and you haven’t let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.’

וכען אם כען אשכחית רחמין קדמך הודעני כען ית אורח טובך ואדע רחמך בדיל דאשכח רחמין קדמך וגלי קדמך ארי עמך עמא הדין:
hdyn ema emk ary qdmk wgly qdmk rkhmyn dashkkh bdyl rkhmk wade Twbk awrkh yth ken hwdeny qdmk rkhmyn ashkkhyth ken am wken
Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me your way, now, that I may know you, so that I may find favor in your sight; and consider that this nation is your people.”

ואמר שכנתי תהך ואניח לך:
lk wanykh thhk shknthy wamr
He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

ואמר קדמוהי אם לית שכנתך מהלכא ביננא לא תסקיננא מכא:
mka thsqynna la bynna mhlka shknthk lyth am qdmwhy wamr
Moses said to him, “If your presence doesn’t go with me, don’t carry us up from here.

ובמה יתידע הכא ארי אשכחית רחמין קדמך אנא ועמך הלא במהך שכנתך עמנא ויתעבדן לנא פרישן לי ולעמך משני מכל עמא די על אפי ארעא:
area apy el dy ema mkl mshny wlemk ly pryshn lna wythebdn emna shknthk bmhk hla wemk ana qdmk rkhmyn ashkkhyth ary hka ythyde wbmh
For how would people know that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Isn’t it that you go with us, so that we are separated, I and your people, from all the people who are on the surface of the earth?”

ואמר יי למשה אף ית פתגמא הדין די מללתא אעבד ארי אשכחתא רחמין קדמי ורביתך בשום:
bshwm wrbythk qdmy rkhmyn ashkkhtha ary aebd mlltha dy hdyn pthgma yth ap lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “I will do this thing also that you have spoken; for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”

ואמר אנא אעבר כל טובי על אפיך ואקרי בשמא דיי קדמך ואחון למן דאחון וארחם על מן דארחם:
darkhm mn el warkhm dakhwn lmn wakhwn qdmk dyy bshma waqry apyk el Twby kl aebr ana wamr
He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim Yahweh’s name before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”

ואמר לא תיכול למחזי ית אפי שכנתי ארי לא יחזינני אנשא ויתקים:
wythqym ansha ykhzynny la ary shknthy apy yth lmkhzy thykwl la wamr
He said, “You cannot see my face, for man may not see me and live.”
21
ואמר יי הא אתר מתקן קדמי ותתעתד על טנרא:
Tnra el wththethd qdmy mthqn athr ha yy wamr
Yahweh also said, “Behold, there is a place by me, and you shall stand on the rock.
22
ויהי במעבר יקרי ואשוינך במערת טנרא ואגין במימרי עלך עד דאעבר:
daebr ed elk bmymry wagyn Tnra bmerth washwynk yqry bmebr wyhy
It will happen, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by;
