ולמשה אמר סק לקדם יי את ואהרן נדב ואביהוא ושבעין מסבי ישראל ותסגדון מרחיק:

He said to Moses, “Come up to Yahweh, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship from a distance.

ויתקרב משה בלחודוהי לקדם יי ואנון לא יתקרבון ועמא לא יסקון עמה:
wythqrb mshh blkhwdwhy lqdm yy wanwn la ythqrbwn wema la ysqwn emh
Moses alone shall come near to Yahweh, but they shall not come near. The people shall not go up with him.”

ואתא משה ואשתעי לעמא ית כל פתגמיא דיי וית כל דיניא ואתיב כל עמא קלא חד ואמרו כל פתגמיא די מליל יי נעבד:
watha mshh washthey lema yth kl pthgmya dyy wyth kl dynya wathyb kl ema qla khd wamrw kl pthgmya dy mlyl yy nebd
Moses came and told the people all Yahweh’s words, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do.”

וכתב משה ית כל פתגמיא דיי ואקדם בצפרא ובנא מדבחא בשפולי טורא ותרתא עשרי קמן לתרי עסר שבטיא דישראל:

Moses wrote all Yahweh’s words, then rose up early in the morning and built an altar at the base of the mountain, with twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.

ושלח ית בוכרי בני ישראל ואסיקו עלון וקריבו נכסת קודשין קדם יי תורין:
wshlkh yth bwkry bny yshral wasyqw elwn wqrybw nksth qwdshyn qdm yy thwryn
He sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of cattle to Yahweh.

ונסיב משה פלגות דמא ושוי במזרקיא ופלגות דמא זרק על מדבחא:
wnsyb mshh plgwth dma wshwy bmzrqya wplgwth dma zrq el mdbkha
Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

ונסיב ספרא דקימא וקרא קדם עמא ואמרו כל די מליל יי נעבד ונקבל:
wnsyb spra dqyma wqra qdm ema wamrw kl dy mlyl yy nebd wnqbl
He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, “We will do all that Yahweh has said, and be obedient.”

ונסיב משה ית דמא וזרק על מדבחא לכפרא על עמא ואמר הא דין דם קימא דגזר יי עמכון על כל פתגמיא האלין:
wnsyb mshh yth dma wzrq el mdbkha lkpra el ema wamr ha dyn dm qyma dgzr yy emkwn el kl pthgmya halyn
Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”

וסליק משה ואהרן נדב ואביהוא ושבעין מסבי ישראל
wslyq mshh wahrn ndb wabyhwa wshbeyn msby yshral
Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up.

וחזו ית יקר אלהא דישראל ותחות כרסא יקרה כעובד אבן טבא וכמחזי שמיא לברירו:
wkhzw yth yqr alha dyshral wthkhwth krsa yqrh kewbd abn Tba wkmkhzy shmya lbryrw
They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was like a paved work of sapphire stone, like the skies for clearness.

ולרברבי בני ישראל לא הוה נזקא וחזו ית יקרא דיי והוו חדן בקרבניהון דאתקבלו ברעוא כאלו אכלין ושתן:
wlrbrby bny yshral la hwh nzqa wkhzw yth yqra dyy whww khdn bqrbnyhwn dathqblw brewa kalw aklyn wshthn
He didn’t lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Israel. They saw God, and ate and drank.

ואמר יי למשה סק לקדמי לטורא והוי תמן ואתן לך ית לוחי אבנא ואוריתא ותפקדתא דכתבית לאלופיהון:
wamr yy lmshh sq lqdmy lTwra whwy thmn wathn lk yth lwkhy abna wawrytha wthpqdtha dkthbyth lalwpyhwn
Yahweh said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”

וקם משה ויהושע משמשנה וסליק משה לטורא דאתגלי עלוהי יקרא דיי:
wqm mshh wyhwshe mshmshnh wslyq mshh lTwra dathgly elwhy yqra dyy
Moses rose up with Joshua, his servant, and Moses went up onto God’s Mountain.

ולסביא אמר אוריכו לנא הכא עד דנתוב לותכון והא אהרן וחור עמכון מן דאית לה דינא יתקרב לקדמיהון:
wlsbya amr awrykw lna hka ed dnthwb lwthkwn wha ahrn wkhwr emkwn mn dayth lh dyna ythqrb lqdmyhwn
He said to the elders, “Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aaron and Hur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.”

וסלק משה לטורא וחפא עננא ית טורא:
wslq mshh lTwra wkhpa enna yth Twra
Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.
16
ושרא יקרא דיי על טורא דסיני וחפהי עננא שתא יומין וקרא למשה ביומא שביעאה מגו עננא:
wshra yqra dyy el Twra dsyny wkhphy enna shtha ywmyn wqra lmshh bywma shbyeah mgw enna
Yahweh’s glory settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. The seventh day he called to Moses out of the middle of the cloud.

וחיזו יקרא דיי כחיזו אשא אכלא בריש טורא לעיני בני ישראל:
wkhyzw yqra dyy kkhyzw asha akla brysh Twra leyny bny yshral
The appearance of Yahweh’s glory was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.

ועל משה בגו עננא וסליק לטורא והוה משה בטורא ארבעין יממין וארבעין לילון:
wel mshh bgw enna wslyq lTwra whwh mshh bTwra arbeyn ymmyn warbeyn lylwn
Moses entered into the middle of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
