בירחא תליתאה למפק בני ישראל מארעא דמצרים ביומא הדין אתו למדברא דסיני:

In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that same day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.

ונטלו מרפידים ואתו למדברא דסיני ושרו במדברא ושרא תמן ישראל לקבל טורא:
wnTlw mrpydym wathw lmdbra dsyny wshrw bmdbra wshra thmn yshral lqbl Twra
When they had departed from Rephidim, and had come to the wilderness of Sinai, they encamped in the wilderness; and there Israel encamped before the mountain.

ומשה סלק קדם יי וקרא לה יי מן טורא למימר כדנן תימר לבית יעקב ותחוי לבני ישראל:
wmshh slq qdm yy wqra lh yy mn Twra lmymr kdnn thymr lbyth yeqb wthkhwy lbny yshral
Moses went up to God, and Yahweh called to him out of the mountain, saying, “This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

אתון חזתון די עבדית למצרים ונטלית יתכון כדעל גדפי נשרין וקרבית יתכון לפלחני:
athwn khzthwn dy ebdyth lmtsrym wnTlyth ythkwn kdel gdpy nshryn wqrbyth ythkwn lplkhny
‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself.

וכען אם קבלא תקבלון למימרי ותטרון ית קימי ותהון קדמי חביבין מכל עממיא ארי די לי כל ארעא:
wken am qbla thqblwn lmymry wthTrwn yth qymy wthhwn qdmy khbybyn mkl emmya ary dy ly kl area
Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine;

ואתון תהון קדמי מלכין כהנין ועם קדיש אלין פתגמיא די תמלל עם בני ישראל:
wathwn thhwn qdmy mlkyn khnyn wem qdysh alyn pthgmya dy thmll em bny yshral
and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

ואתא משה וקרא לסבי עמא וסדר קדמיהון ית כל פתגמיא האלין דפקדיה יי:
watha mshh wqra lsby ema wsdr qdmyhwn yth kl pthgmya halyn dpqdyh yy
Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which Yahweh commanded him.

ואתיבו כל עמא כחדא ואמרו כל די מליל יי נעבד ואתיב משה ית פתגמי עמא קדם יי:
wathybw kl ema kkhda wamrw kl dy mlyl yy nebd wathyb mshh yth pthgmy ema qdm yy
All the people answered together, and said, “All that Yahweh has spoken we will do.” Moses reported the words of the people to Yahweh.

ואמר יי למשה הא אנא מתגלי לך בעיבא דעננא בדיל דישמע עמא במללותי עמך ואף בך יהימנון לעלם וחוי משה ית פתגמי עמא קדם יי:
wamr yy lmshh ha ana mthgly lk beyba denna bdyl dyshme ema bmllwthy emk wap bk yhymnwn lelm wkhwy mshh yth pthgmy ema qdm yy
Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, I come to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” Moses told the words of the people to Yahweh.

ואמר יי למשה אזיל לות עמא ותזמננון יומא דין ומחר ויחורון לבושיהון:
wamr yy lmshh azyl lwth ema wthzmnnwn ywma dyn wmkhr wykhwrwn lbwshyhwn
Yahweh said to Moses, “Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,

ויהון זמינין ליומא תליתאה ארי ביומא תליתאה יתגלי יי לעיני כל עמא על טורא דסיני:
wyhwn zmynyn lywma thlythah ary bywma thlythah ythgly yy leyny kl ema el Twra dsyny
and be ready for the third day; for on the third day Yahweh will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai.

ותתחם ית עמא סחור סחור למימר אסתמרו לכון מלמסק בטורא ולמקרב בסופה כל דיקרב בטורא אתקטלא יתקטל:
wththkhm yth ema skhwr skhwr lmymr asthmrw lkwn mlmsq bTwra wlmqrb bswph kl dyqrb bTwra athqTla ythqTl
You shall set bounds to the people all around, saying, ‘Be careful that you don’t go up onto the mountain, or touch its border. Whoever touches the mountain shall be surely put to death.

לא תקרב בה ידא ארי אתרגמא יתרגם או אשתדאה ישתדי אם בעירא אם אנשא לא יתקים במיגד שופרא אנון מרשן למסק בטורא:
la thqrb bh yda ary athrgma ythrgm aw ashthdah yshthdy am beyra am ansha la ythqym bmygd shwpra anwn mrshn lmsq bTwra
No hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through; whether it is animal or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mountain.”

ונחת משה מן טורא לות עמא וזמין ית עמא וחורו לבושיהון:
wnkhth mshh mn Twra lwth ema wzmyn yth ema wkhwrw lbwshyhwn
Moses went down from the mountain to the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
15
ואמר לעמא הוו זמינין לתלתא יומין לא תקרבון לצד אתתא:
wamr lema hww zmynyn lthltha ywmyn la thqrbwn ltsd aththa
He said to the people, “Be ready by the third day. Don’t have sexual relations with a woman.”

והוה ביומא תליתאה במהוי צפרא והוה קלין וברקין ועננא תקיף על טורא וקל שופרא תקיף לחדא וזע כל עמא די במשריתא:
whwh bywma thlythah bmhwy tspra whwh qlyn wbrqyn wenna thqyp el Twra wql shwpra thqyp lkhda wze kl ema dy bmshrytha
On the third day, when it was morning, there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain, and the sound of an exceedingly loud trumpet; and all the people who were in the camp trembled.

ואפיק משה ית עמא לקדמות מימרא דיי מן משריתא ואתעתדו בשפולי טורא:
wapyq mshh yth ema lqdmwth mymra dyy mn mshrytha wathethdw bshpwly Twra
Moses led the people out of the camp to meet God; and they stood at the lower part of the mountain.

וטורא דסיני תנן כלה מן קדם דאתגלי עלוהי יי באשתא וסליק תננה כתננא דאתונא וזע כל טורא לחדא:
wTwra dsyny thnn klh mn qdm dathgly elwhy yy bashtha wslyq thnnh kthnna dathwna wze kl Twra lkhda
All of Mount Sinai smoked, because Yahweh descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.

והוה קל שופרא אזל ותקף לחדא משה ממלל ומן קדם יי מתעני לה בקל:
whwh ql shwpra azl wthqp lkhda mshh mmll wmn qdm yy mtheny lh bql
When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.

ואתגלי יי על טורא דסיני לריש טורא וקרא יי למשה לריש טורא וסליק משה:
wathgly yy el Twra dsyny lrysh Twra wqra yy lmshh lrysh Twra wslyq mshh
Yahweh came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. Yahweh called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

ואמר יי למשה חות אסהיד בעמא דילמא יפגרון קדם יי למחזי ויפל מנהון סגי:
wamr yy lmshh khwth ashyd bema dylma ypgrwn qdm yy lmkhzy wypl mnhwn sgy
Yahweh said to Moses, “Go down, warn the people, lest they break through to Yahweh to gaze, and many of them perish.

ואף כהניא דקריבין לשמשא קדם יי יתקדשון דילמא יקטול בהון יי:
wap khnya dqrybyn lshmsha qdm yy ythqdshwn dylma yqTwl bhwn yy
Let the priests also, who come near to Yahweh, sanctify themselves, lest Yahweh break out on them.”

ואמר משה קדם יי לא יכול עמא למסק לטורא דסיני ארי את אסהדת בנא למימר תחים ית טורא וקדשהי:
wamr mshh qdm yy la ykwl ema lmsq lTwra dsyny ary ath ashdth bna lmymr thkhym yth Twra wqdshhy
Moses said to Yahweh, “The people can’t come up to Mount Sinai, for you warned us, saying, ‘Set bounds around the mountain, and sanctify it.’”

ואמר לה יי אזיל חות ותסק את ואהרן עמך וכהניא ועמא לא יפגרון למסק לקדם יי דילמא יקטול בהון:
wamr lh yy azyl khwth wthsq ath wahrn emk wkhnya wema la ypgrwn lmsq lqdm yy dylma yqTwl bhwn
Yahweh said to him, “Go down! You shall bring Aaron up with you, but don’t let the priests and the people break through to come up to Yahweh, lest he break out against them.”

ונחת משה לעמא ואמר להון:
wnkhth mshh lema wamr lhwn
So Moses went down to the people, and told them.
