בירחא תליתאה למפק בני ישראל מארעא דמצרים ביומא הדין אתו למדברא דסיני:
dsyny lmdbra athw hdyn bywma dmtsrym marea yshral bny lmpq thlythah byrkha
In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that same day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.

ונטלו מרפידים ואתו למדברא דסיני ושרו במדברא ושרא תמן ישראל לקבל טורא:
Twra lqbl yshral thmn wshra bmdbra wshrw dsyny lmdbra wathw mrpydym wnTlw
When they had departed from Rephidim, and had come to the wilderness of Sinai, they encamped in the wilderness; and there Israel encamped before the mountain.

ומשה סלק קדם יי וקרא לה יי מן טורא למימר כדנן תימר לבית יעקב ותחוי לבני ישראל:
yshral lbny wthkhwy yeqb lbyth thymr kdnn lmymr Twra mn yy lh wqra yy qdm slq wmshh
Moses went up to God, and Yahweh called to him out of the mountain, saying, “This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

אתון חזתון די עבדית למצרים ונטלית יתכון כדעל גדפי נשרין וקרבית יתכון לפלחני:
lplkhny ythkwn wqrbyth nshryn gdpy kdel ythkwn wnTlyth lmtsrym ebdyth dy khzthwn athwn
‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself.

וכען אם קבלא תקבלון למימרי ותטרון ית קימי ותהון קדמי חביבין מכל עממיא ארי די לי כל ארעא:
area kl ly dy ary emmya mkl khbybyn qdmy wthhwn qymy yth wthTrwn lmymry thqblwn qbla am wken
Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine;

ואתון תהון קדמי מלכין כהנין ועם קדיש אלין פתגמיא די תמלל עם בני ישראל:
yshral bny em thmll dy pthgmya alyn qdysh wem khnyn mlkyn qdmy thhwn wathwn
and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

ואתא משה וקרא לסבי עמא וסדר קדמיהון ית כל פתגמיא האלין דפקדיה יי:
yy dpqdyh halyn pthgmya kl yth qdmyhwn wsdr ema lsby wqra mshh watha
Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which Yahweh commanded him.

ואתיבו כל עמא כחדא ואמרו כל די מליל יי נעבד ואתיב משה ית פתגמי עמא קדם יי:
yy qdm ema pthgmy yth mshh wathyb nebd yy mlyl dy kl wamrw kkhda ema kl wathybw
All the people answered together, and said, “All that Yahweh has spoken we will do.” Moses reported the words of the people to Yahweh.

ואמר יי למשה הא אנא מתגלי לך בעיבא דעננא בדיל דישמע עמא במללותי עמך ואף בך יהימנון לעלם וחוי משה ית פתגמי עמא קדם יי:
yy qdm ema pthgmy yth mshh wkhwy lelm yhymnwn bk wap emk bmllwthy ema dyshme bdyl denna beyba lk mthgly ana ha lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, I come to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” Moses told the words of the people to Yahweh.

ואמר יי למשה אזיל לות עמא ותזמננון יומא דין ומחר ויחורון לבושיהון:
lbwshyhwn wykhwrwn wmkhr dyn ywma wthzmnnwn ema lwth azyl lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,

ויהון זמינין ליומא תליתאה ארי ביומא תליתאה יתגלי יי לעיני כל עמא על טורא דסיני:
dsyny Twra el ema kl leyny yy ythgly thlythah bywma ary thlythah lywma zmynyn wyhwn
and be ready for the third day; for on the third day Yahweh will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai.

ותתחם ית עמא סחור סחור למימר אסתמרו לכון מלמסק בטורא ולמקרב בסופה כל דיקרב בטורא אתקטלא יתקטל:
ythqTl athqTla bTwra dyqrb kl bswph wlmqrb bTwra mlmsq lkwn asthmrw lmymr skhwr skhwr ema yth wththkhm
You shall set bounds to the people all around, saying, ‘Be careful that you don’t go up onto the mountain, or touch its border. Whoever touches the mountain shall be surely put to death.

לא תקרב בה ידא ארי אתרגמא יתרגם או אשתדאה ישתדי אם בעירא אם אנשא לא יתקים במיגד שופרא אנון מרשן למסק בטורא:
bTwra lmsq mrshn anwn shwpra bmygd ythqym la ansha am beyra am yshthdy ashthdah aw ythrgm athrgma ary yda bh thqrb la
No hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through; whether it is animal or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mountain.”

ונחת משה מן טורא לות עמא וזמין ית עמא וחורו לבושיהון:
lbwshyhwn wkhwrw ema yth wzmyn ema lwth Twra mn mshh wnkhth
Moses went down from the mountain to the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

ואמר לעמא הוו זמינין לתלתא יומין לא תקרבון לצד אתתא:
aththa ltsd thqrbwn la ywmyn lthltha zmynyn hww lema wamr
He said to the people, “Be ready by the third day. Don’t have sexual relations with a woman.”

והוה ביומא תליתאה במהוי צפרא והוה קלין וברקין ועננא תקיף על טורא וקל שופרא תקיף לחדא וזע כל עמא די במשריתא:
bmshrytha dy ema kl wze lkhda thqyp shwpra wql Twra el thqyp wenna wbrqyn qlyn whwh tspra bmhwy thlythah bywma whwh
On the third day, when it was morning, there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain, and the sound of an exceedingly loud trumpet; and all the people who were in the camp trembled.

ואפיק משה ית עמא לקדמות מימרא דיי מן משריתא ואתעתדו בשפולי טורא:
Twra bshpwly wathethdw mshrytha mn dyy mymra lqdmwth ema yth mshh wapyq
Moses led the people out of the camp to meet God; and they stood at the lower part of the mountain.

וטורא דסיני תנן כלה מן קדם דאתגלי עלוהי יי באשתא וסליק תננה כתננא דאתונא וזע כל טורא לחדא:
lkhda Twra kl wze dathwna kthnna thnnh wslyq bashtha yy elwhy dathgly qdm mn klh thnn dsyny wTwra
All of Mount Sinai smoked, because Yahweh descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.

והוה קל שופרא אזל ותקף לחדא משה ממלל ומן קדם יי מתעני לה בקל:
bql lh mtheny yy qdm wmn mmll mshh lkhda wthqp azl shwpra ql whwh
When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.

ואתגלי יי על טורא דסיני לריש טורא וקרא יי למשה לריש טורא וסליק משה:
mshh wslyq Twra lrysh lmshh yy wqra Twra lrysh dsyny Twra el yy wathgly
Yahweh came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. Yahweh called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

ואמר יי למשה חות אסהיד בעמא דילמא יפגרון קדם יי למחזי ויפל מנהון סגי:
sgy mnhwn wypl lmkhzy yy qdm ypgrwn dylma bema ashyd khwth lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Go down, warn the people, lest they break through to Yahweh to gaze, and many of them perish.

ואף כהניא דקריבין לשמשא קדם יי יתקדשון דילמא יקטול בהון יי:
yy bhwn yqTwl dylma ythqdshwn yy qdm lshmsha dqrybyn khnya wap
Let the priests also, who come near to Yahweh, sanctify themselves, lest Yahweh break out on them.”

ואמר משה קדם יי לא יכול עמא למסק לטורא דסיני ארי את אסהדת בנא למימר תחים ית טורא וקדשהי:
wqdshhy Twra yth thkhym lmymr bna ashdth ath ary dsyny lTwra lmsq ema ykwl la yy qdm mshh wamr
Moses said to Yahweh, “The people can’t come up to Mount Sinai, for you warned us, saying, ‘Set bounds around the mountain, and sanctify it.’”

ואמר לה יי אזיל חות ותסק את ואהרן עמך וכהניא ועמא לא יפגרון למסק לקדם יי דילמא יקטול בהון:
bhwn yqTwl dylma yy lqdm lmsq ypgrwn la wema wkhnya emk wahrn ath wthsq khwth azyl yy lh wamr
Yahweh said to him, “Go down! You shall bring Aaron up with you, but don’t let the priests and the people break through to come up to Yahweh, lest he break out against them.”
