מליל עם בני ישראל ויתובון וישרון קדם פום חירתא בין מגדול ובין ימא קדם בעיל צפון לקבלה תשרון על ימא:
yma el thshrwn lqblh tspwn beyl qdm yma wbyn mgdwl byn khyrtha pwm qdm wyshrwn wythwbwn yshral bny em mlyl
“Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn back and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal Zephon. You shall encamp opposite it by the sea.

ויימר פרעה על בני ישראל מערבלין אנון בארעא אחד עליהון מדברא:
mdbra elyhwn akhd barea anwn merblyn yshral bny el preh wyymr
Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, ‘They are entangled in the land. The wilderness has shut them in.’

ואתקף ית לבא דפרעה וירדף בתריהון ואתיקר בפרעה ובכל משריתה וידעון מצראי ארי אנא יי ועבדו כן:
kn webdw yy ana ary mtsray wydewn mshrythh wbkl bpreh wathyqr bthryhwn wyrdp dpreh lba yth wathqp
I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will follow after them; and I will get honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies; and the Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh.” They did so.

ואתחוא למלכא דמצרים ארי אזל עמא ואתהפיך לבא דפרעה ועבדוהי לעמא ואמרו מא דא עבדנא ארי שלחנא ית ישראל מפלחננא:
mplkhnna yshral yth shlkhna ary ebdna da ma wamrw lema webdwhy dpreh lba wathhpyk ema azl ary dmtsrym lmlka wathkhwa
The king of Egypt was told that the people had fled; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was changed toward the people, and they said, “What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?”

וטקיס ית רתכה וית עמה דבר עמה:
emh dbr emh wyth rthkh yth wTqys
He prepared his chariot, and took his army with him;
7
ודבר שת מאה רתכין בחירן וכל רתכי מצראי וגברין ממנן על כלהון:
klhwn el mmnn wgbryn mtsray rthky wkl bkhyrn rthkyn mah shth wdbr
and he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, with captains over all of them.

ואתקף יי ית לבא דפרעה מלכא דמצרים ורדף בתר בני ישראל ובני ישראל נפקו בריש גלי:
gly brysh npqw yshral wbny yshral bny bthr wrdp dmtsrym mlka dpreh lba yth yy wathqp
Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel; for the children of Israel went out with a high hand.

ורדפו מצראי בתריהון ואדביקו יתהון כד שרן על ימא כל סוסות רתכי פרעה ופרשוהי ומשריתה על פום חירתא קדם בעיל צפון:
tspwn beyl qdm khyrtha pwm el wmshrythh wprshwhy preh rthky swswth kl yma el shrn kd ythhwn wadbyqw bthryhwn mtsray wrdpw
The Egyptians pursued them. All the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen, and his army overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baal Zephon.

ופרעה קריב וזקפו בני ישראל ית עיניהון והא מצראי נטלין בתריהון ודחילו לחדא וזעיקו בני ישראל קדם יי:
yy qdm yshral bny wzeyqw lkhda wdkhylw bthryhwn nTlyn mtsray wha eynyhwn yth yshral bny wzqpw qryb wpreh
When Pharaoh came near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.

ואמרו למשה המדלית קברין במצרים דברתנא לממת במדברא מא דא עבדתא לנא לאפקותנא ממצרים:
mmtsrym lapqwthna lna ebdtha da ma bmdbra lmmth dbrthna bmtsrym qbryn hmdlyth lmshh wamrw
They said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?

הלא דין פתגמא די מללנא עמך במצרים למימר שבוק מננא ונפלח ית מצראי ארי טב לנא דנפלח ית מצראי מדנמות במדברא:
bmdbra mdnmwth mtsray yth dnplkh lna Tb ary mtsray yth wnplkh mnna shbwq lmymr bmtsrym emk mllna dy pthgma dyn hla
Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”

ואמר משה לעמא לא תדחלון אתעתדו וחזו ית פורקנא דיי דיעבד לכון יומא דין ארי כמא דחזיתון ית מצראי יומא דין לא תוספון למחזיהון עוד עד עלמא:
elma ed ewd lmkhzyhwn thwspwn la dyn ywma mtsray yth dkhzythwn kma ary dyn ywma lkwn dyebd dyy pwrqna yth wkhzw athethdw thdkhlwn la lema mshh wamr
Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today; for you will never again see the Egyptians whom you have seen today.

יי יגיח לכון קרב ואתון תשתקון:
thshthqwn wathwn qrb lkwn ygykh yy
Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.”
15
ואמר יי למשה קבלית צלותך מליל עם בני ישראל ויטלון:
wyTlwn yshral bny em mlyl tslwthk qblyth lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward.

ואת טול ית חטרך וארים ית ידך על ימא ובזעוהי ויעלון בני ישראל בגו ימא ביבשתא:
bybshtha yma bgw yshral bny wyelwn wbzewhy yma el ydk yth warym khTrk yth Twl wath
Lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. Then the children of Israel shall go into the middle of the sea on dry ground.

ואנא הא אנא מתקף ית לבא דמצראי ויעלון בתריהון ואתיקר בפרעה ובכל משריתה ברתכוהי ובפרשוהי:
wbprshwhy brthkwhy mshrythh wbkl bpreh wathyqr bthryhwn wyelwn dmtsray lba yth mthqp ana ha wana
Behold, I myself will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will go in after them. I will get myself honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.
18
וידעון מצראי ארי אנא יי באתיקרותי בפרעה ברתכוהי ובפרשוהי:
wbprshwhy brthkwhy bpreh bathyqrwthy yy ana ary mtsray wydewn
The Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh when I have gotten myself honor over Pharaoh, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.”

ונטל מלאכא דיי דמדבר קדם משריתא דישראל ואתא מבתריהון ונטל עמודא דעננא מן קדמיהון ושרא מבתריהון:
mbthryhwn wshra qdmyhwn mn denna emwda wnTl mbthryhwn watha dyshral mshrytha qdm dmdbr dyy mlaka wnTl
The angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them, and stood behind them.
20
ועל בין משריתא דמצראי ובין משריתא דישראל והוה עננא וקבלא למצראי ולישראל נהר כל ליליא ולא אתקריבו דין לות דין כל ליליא:
lylya kl dyn lwth dyn athqrybw wla lylya kl nhr wlyshral lmtsray wqbla enna whwh dyshral mshrytha wbyn dmtsray mshrytha byn wel
It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. There was the cloud and the darkness, yet it gave light by night. One didn’t come near the other all night.

וארים משה ית ידה על ימא ודבר יי ית ימא ברוח קדומא תקיף כל ליליא ושוי ית ימא ליבשתא ואתבזעו מיא:
mya wathbzew lybshtha yma yth wshwy lylya kl thqyp qdwma brwkh yma yth yy wdbr yma el ydh yth mshh warym
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and Yahweh caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

ועלו בני ישראל בגו ימא ביבשתא ומיא להון שורין מימינהון ומסמאלהון:
wmsmalhwn mymynhwn shwryn lhwn wmya bybshtha yma bgw yshral bny welw
The children of Israel went into the middle of the sea on the dry ground; and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

ורדפו מצראי ועלו בתריהון כל סוסות פרעה רתכוהי ופרשוהי לגו ימא:
yma lgw wprshwhy rthkwhy preh swswth kl bthryhwn welw mtsray wrdpw
The Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the middle of the sea: all of Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

והוה במטרת צפרא ואסתכי יי למשריתא דמצראי בעמודא דאשתא ועננא ושגיש ית משריתא דמצראי:
dmtsray mshrytha yth wshgysh wenna dashtha bemwda dmtsray lmshrytha yy wasthky tspra bmTrth whwh
In the morning watch, Yahweh looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army.

ואעדי ית גלגלי רתכוהי ומדברין להון בתקוף ואמר מצראי נעירוק מן קדם ישראל ארי דא היא גברתא דיי דעבד להון קרבין במצרים:
bmtsrym qrbyn lhwn debd dyy gbrtha hya da ary yshral qdm mn neyrwq mtsray wamr bthqwp lhwn wmdbryn rthkwhy glgly yth waedy
He took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said, “Let’s flee from the face of Israel, for Yahweh fights for them against the Egyptians!”

ואמר יי למשה ארים ית ידך על ימא ויתובון מיא על מצראי על רתכיהון ועל פרשיהון:
prshyhwn wel rthkyhwn el mtsray el mya wythwbwn yma el ydk yth arym lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come again on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.”

וארים משה ית ידה על ימא ותב ימא לעדן צפרא לתקפה ומצראי ערקין לקדמותה ושניק יי ית מצראי בגו ימא:
yma bgw mtsray yth yy wshnyq lqdmwthh erqyn wmtsray lthqph tspra ledn yma wthb yma el ydh yth mshh warym
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. Yahweh overthrew the Egyptians in the middle of the sea.
28
ותבו מיא וחפו ית רתכיא וית פרשיא לכל משרית פרעה דעלו בתריהון בימא לא אשתאר בהון עד חד:
khd ed bhwn ashthar la byma bthryhwn delw preh mshryth lkl prshya wyth rthkya yth wkhpw mya wthbw
The waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even all Pharaoh’s army that went in after them into the sea. There remained not so much as one of them.

ובני ישראל הליכו ביבשתא בגו ימא ומיא להון שורין מימינהון ומסמאלהון:
wmsmalhwn mymynhwn shwryn lhwn wmya yma bgw bybshtha hlykw yshral wbny
But the children of Israel walked on dry land in the middle of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
30
ופרק יי ביומא ההוא ית ישראל מידא דמצראי וחזו ישראל ית מצראי מיתין על כיף ימא:
yma kyp el mythyn mtsray yth yshral wkhzw dmtsray myda yshral yth hhwa bywma yy wprq
Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.

וחזא ישראל ית גבורתא ידא רבתא די עבד יי במצרים ודחילו עמא מן קדם יי והמינו במימרא דיי ובנביאות משה עבדה:
ebdh mshh wbnbyawth dyy bmymra whmynw yy qdm mn ema wdkhylw bmtsrym yy ebd dy rbtha yda gbwrtha yth yshral wkhza
Israel saw the great work which Yahweh did to the Egyptians, and the people feared Yahweh; and they believed in Yahweh and in his servant Moses.
