מליל עם בני ישראל ויתובון וישרון קדם פום חירתא בין מגדול ובין ימא קדם בעיל צפון לקבלה תשרון על ימא:
mlyl em bny yshral wythwbwn wyshrwn qdm pwm khyrtha byn mgdwl wbyn yma qdm beyl tspwn lqblh thshrwn el yma
“Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn back and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal Zephon. You shall encamp opposite it by the sea.

ויימר פרעה על בני ישראל מערבלין אנון בארעא אחד עליהון מדברא:
wyymr preh el bny yshral merblyn anwn barea akhd elyhwn mdbra
Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, ‘They are entangled in the land. The wilderness has shut them in.’

ואתקף ית לבא דפרעה וירדף בתריהון ואתיקר בפרעה ובכל משריתה וידעון מצראי ארי אנא יי ועבדו כן:
wathqp yth lba dpreh wyrdp bthryhwn wathyqr bpreh wbkl mshrythh wydewn mtsray ary ana yy webdw kn
I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will follow after them; and I will get honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies; and the Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh.” They did so.

ואתחוא למלכא דמצרים ארי אזל עמא ואתהפיך לבא דפרעה ועבדוהי לעמא ואמרו מא דא עבדנא ארי שלחנא ית ישראל מפלחננא:
wathkhwa lmlka dmtsrym ary azl ema wathhpyk lba dpreh webdwhy lema wamrw ma da ebdna ary shlkhna yth yshral mplkhnna
The king of Egypt was told that the people had fled; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was changed toward the people, and they said, “What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?”

וטקיס ית רתכה וית עמה דבר עמה:
wTqys yth rthkh wyth emh dbr emh
He prepared his chariot, and took his army with him;

ודבר שת מאה רתכין בחירן וכל רתכי מצראי וגברין ממנן על כלהון:
wdbr shth mah rthkyn bkhyrn wkl rthky mtsray wgbryn mmnn el klhwn
and he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, with captains over all of them.

ואתקף יי ית לבא דפרעה מלכא דמצרים ורדף בתר בני ישראל ובני ישראל נפקו בריש גלי:
wathqp yy yth lba dpreh mlka dmtsrym wrdp bthr bny yshral wbny yshral npqw brysh gly
Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel; for the children of Israel went out with a high hand.

ורדפו מצראי בתריהון ואדביקו יתהון כד שרן על ימא כל סוסות רתכי פרעה ופרשוהי ומשריתה על פום חירתא קדם בעיל צפון:
wrdpw mtsray bthryhwn wadbyqw ythhwn kd shrn el yma kl swswth rthky preh wprshwhy wmshrythh el pwm khyrtha qdm beyl tspwn
The Egyptians pursued them. All the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen, and his army overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baal Zephon.

ופרעה קריב וזקפו בני ישראל ית עיניהון והא מצראי נטלין בתריהון ודחילו לחדא וזעיקו בני ישראל קדם יי:
wpreh qryb wzqpw bny yshral yth eynyhwn wha mtsray nTlyn bthryhwn wdkhylw lkhda wzeyqw bny yshral qdm yy
When Pharaoh came near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.

ואמרו למשה המדלית קברין במצרים דברתנא לממת במדברא מא דא עבדתא לנא לאפקותנא ממצרים:
wamrw lmshh hmdlyth qbryn bmtsrym dbrthna lmmth bmdbra ma da ebdtha lna lapqwthna mmtsrym
They said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?

הלא דין פתגמא די מללנא עמך במצרים למימר שבוק מננא ונפלח ית מצראי ארי טב לנא דנפלח ית מצראי מדנמות במדברא:
hla dyn pthgma dy mllna emk bmtsrym lmymr shbwq mnna wnplkh yth mtsray ary Tb lna dnplkh yth mtsray mdnmwth bmdbra
Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”

ואמר משה לעמא לא תדחלון אתעתדו וחזו ית פורקנא דיי דיעבד לכון יומא דין ארי כמא דחזיתון ית מצראי יומא דין לא תוספון למחזיהון עוד עד עלמא:
wamr mshh lema la thdkhlwn athethdw wkhzw yth pwrqna dyy dyebd lkwn ywma dyn ary kma dkhzythwn yth mtsray ywma dyn la thwspwn lmkhzyhwn ewd ed elma
Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today; for you will never again see the Egyptians whom you have seen today.

יי יגיח לכון קרב ואתון תשתקון:
yy ygykh lkwn qrb wathwn thshthqwn
Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.”

ואמר יי למשה קבלית צלותך מליל עם בני ישראל ויטלון:
wamr yy lmshh qblyth tslwthk mlyl em bny yshral wyTlwn
Yahweh said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward.
16
ואת טול ית חטרך וארים ית ידך על ימא ובזעוהי ויעלון בני ישראל בגו ימא ביבשתא:
wath Twl yth khTrk warym yth ydk el yma wbzewhy wyelwn bny yshral bgw yma bybshtha
Lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. Then the children of Israel shall go into the middle of the sea on dry ground.

ואנא הא אנא מתקף ית לבא דמצראי ויעלון בתריהון ואתיקר בפרעה ובכל משריתה ברתכוהי ובפרשוהי:
wana ha ana mthqp yth lba dmtsray wyelwn bthryhwn wathyqr bpreh wbkl mshrythh brthkwhy wbprshwhy
Behold, I myself will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will go in after them. I will get myself honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.
18
וידעון מצראי ארי אנא יי באתיקרותי בפרעה ברתכוהי ובפרשוהי:
wydewn mtsray ary ana yy bathyqrwthy bpreh brthkwhy wbprshwhy
The Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh when I have gotten myself honor over Pharaoh, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.”

ונטל מלאכא דיי דמדבר קדם משריתא דישראל ואתא מבתריהון ונטל עמודא דעננא מן קדמיהון ושרא מבתריהון:
wnTl mlaka dyy dmdbr qdm mshrytha dyshral watha mbthryhwn wnTl emwda denna mn qdmyhwn wshra mbthryhwn
The angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them, and stood behind them.

ועל בין משריתא דמצראי ובין משריתא דישראל והוה עננא וקבלא למצראי ולישראל נהר כל ליליא ולא אתקריבו דין לות דין כל ליליא:
wel byn mshrytha dmtsray wbyn mshrytha dyshral whwh enna wqbla lmtsray wlyshral nhr kl lylya wla athqrybw dyn lwth dyn kl lylya
It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. There was the cloud and the darkness, yet it gave light by night. One didn’t come near the other all night.

וארים משה ית ידה על ימא ודבר יי ית ימא ברוח קדומא תקיף כל ליליא ושוי ית ימא ליבשתא ואתבזעו מיא:
warym mshh yth ydh el yma wdbr yy yth yma brwkh qdwma thqyp kl lylya wshwy yth yma lybshtha wathbzew mya
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and Yahweh caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

ועלו בני ישראל בגו ימא ביבשתא ומיא להון שורין מימינהון ומסמאלהון:
welw bny yshral bgw yma bybshtha wmya lhwn shwryn mymynhwn wmsmalhwn
The children of Israel went into the middle of the sea on the dry ground; and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

ורדפו מצראי ועלו בתריהון כל סוסות פרעה רתכוהי ופרשוהי לגו ימא:
wrdpw mtsray welw bthryhwn kl swswth preh rthkwhy wprshwhy lgw yma
The Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the middle of the sea: all of Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

והוה במטרת צפרא ואסתכי יי למשריתא דמצראי בעמודא דאשתא ועננא ושגיש ית משריתא דמצראי:
whwh bmTrth tspra wasthky yy lmshrytha dmtsray bemwda dashtha wenna wshgysh yth mshrytha dmtsray
In the morning watch, Yahweh looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army.

ואעדי ית גלגלי רתכוהי ומדברין להון בתקוף ואמר מצראי נעירוק מן קדם ישראל ארי דא היא גברתא דיי דעבד להון קרבין במצרים:
waedy yth glgly rthkwhy wmdbryn lhwn bthqwp wamr mtsray neyrwq mn qdm yshral ary da hya gbrtha dyy debd lhwn qrbyn bmtsrym
He took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said, “Let’s flee from the face of Israel, for Yahweh fights for them against the Egyptians!”

ואמר יי למשה ארים ית ידך על ימא ויתובון מיא על מצראי על רתכיהון ועל פרשיהון:
wamr yy lmshh arym yth ydk el yma wythwbwn mya el mtsray el rthkyhwn wel prshyhwn
Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come again on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.”

וארים משה ית ידה על ימא ותב ימא לעדן צפרא לתקפה ומצראי ערקין לקדמותה ושניק יי ית מצראי בגו ימא:
warym mshh yth ydh el yma wthb yma ledn tspra lthqph wmtsray erqyn lqdmwthh wshnyq yy yth mtsray bgw yma
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. Yahweh overthrew the Egyptians in the middle of the sea.

ותבו מיא וחפו ית רתכיא וית פרשיא לכל משרית פרעה דעלו בתריהון בימא לא אשתאר בהון עד חד:
wthbw mya wkhpw yth rthkya wyth prshya lkl mshryth preh delw bthryhwn byma la ashthar bhwn ed khd
The waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even all Pharaoh’s army that went in after them into the sea. There remained not so much as one of them.

ובני ישראל הליכו ביבשתא בגו ימא ומיא להון שורין מימינהון ומסמאלהון:
wbny yshral hlykw bybshtha bgw yma wmya lhwn shwryn mymynhwn wmsmalhwn
But the children of Israel walked on dry land in the middle of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

ופרק יי ביומא ההוא ית ישראל מידא דמצראי וחזו ישראל ית מצראי מיתין על כיף ימא:
wprq yy bywma hhwa yth yshral myda dmtsray wkhzw yshral yth mtsray mythyn el kyp yma
Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.

וחזא ישראל ית גבורתא ידא רבתא די עבד יי במצרים ודחילו עמא מן קדם יי והמינו במימרא דיי ובנביאות משה עבדה:
wkhza yshral yth gbwrtha yda rbtha dy ebd yy bmtsrym wdkhylw ema mn qdm yy whmynw bmymra dyy wbnbyawth mshh ebdh
Israel saw the great work which Yahweh did to the Egyptians, and the people feared Yahweh; and they believed in Yahweh and in his servant Moses.
