אקדש קדמי כל בוכרא פתח כל ולדא בבני ישראל באנשא ובבעירא דילי הוא:
aqdsh qdmy kl bwkra pthkh kl wlda bbny yshral bansha wbbeyra dyly hwa
“Sanctify to me all the firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of animal. It is mine.”

ואמר משה לעמא הוו דכירין ית יומא הדין די נפקתון ממצרים מבית עבדותא ארי בתקוף ידא אפיק יי יתכון מכא ולא יתאכל חמיע:
wamr mshh lema hww dkyryn yth ywma hdyn dy npqthwn mmtsrym mbyth ebdwtha ary bthqwp yda apyq yy ythkwn mka wla ythakl khmye
Moses said to the people, “Remember this day, in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.

יומא דין אתון נפקין בירחא דאביבא:
ywma dyn athwn npqyn byrkha dabyba
Today you go out in the month Abib.

ויהי ארי יעלנך יי לארעא דכנענאי וחתאי ואמוראי וחואי ויבוסאי די קיים לאבהתך למתן לך ארעא עבדא חלב ודבש ותפלח ית פלחנא הדא בירחא הדין:
wyhy ary yelnk yy larea dknenay wkhthay wamwray wkhway wybwsay dy qyym labhthk lmthn lk area ebda khlb wdbsh wthplkh yth plkhna hda byrkha hdyn
It shall be, when Yahweh brings you into the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month.

שבעה יומין תיכול פטירא וביומא שביעאה חגא קדם יי:
shbeh ywmyn thykwl pTyra wbywma shbyeah khga qdm yy
Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to Yahweh.

פטיר יתאכל ית שבעת יומין ולא יתחזי לך חמיע ולא יתחזי לך חמיר בכל תחומך:
pTyr ythakl yth shbeth ywmyn wla ythkhzy lk khmye wla ythkhzy lk khmyr bkl thkhwmk
Unleavened bread shall be eaten throughout the seven days; and no leavened bread shall be seen with you. No yeast shall be seen with you, within all your borders.

ותחוי לברך ביומא ההוא למימר בדיל דין עבד יי לי במפקי ממצרים:
wthkhwy lbrk bywma hhwa lmymr bdyl dyn ebd yy ly bmpqy mmtsrym
You shall tell your son in that day, saying, ‘It is because of that which Yahweh did for me when I came out of Egypt.’

ויהי לך לאת על ידך ולדכרנא בין עיניך בדיל תהי אוריתא דיי בפומך ארי בידא תקיפא אפקך יי ממצרים:
wyhy lk lath el ydk wldkrna byn eynyk bdyl thhy awrytha dyy bpwmk ary byda thqypa apqk yy mmtsrym
It shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that Yahweh’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand Yahweh has brought you out of Egypt.

ותטר ית קימא הדא לזמנה מזמן לזמן:
wthTr yth qyma hda lzmnh mzmn lzmn
You shall therefore keep this ordinance in its season from year to year.

ויהי ארי יעלנך יי לארעא דכנענאי כמא די קיים לך ולאבהתך ויתננה לך:
wyhy ary yelnk yy larea dknenay kma dy qyym lk wlabhthk wythnnh lk
“It shall be, when Yahweh brings you into the land of the Canaanite, as he swore to you and to your fathers, and will give it to you,

ותעבר כל פתח ולדא קדם יי וכל פתח ולד בעירא די יהי לך דכרין תקדש קדם יי:
wthebr kl pthkh wlda qdm yy wkl pthkh wld beyra dy yhy lk dkryn thqdsh qdm yy
that you shall set apart to Yahweh all that opens the womb, and every firstborn that comes from an animal which you have. The males shall be Yahweh’s.

וכל פתח דחמרא תפרוק באמרא ואם לא תפרוק ותנקפה וכל בוכרא דאנשא בבניך תפרוק:
wkl pthkh dkhmra thprwq bamra wam la thprwq wthnqph wkl bwkra dansha bbnyk thprwq
Every firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck; and you shall redeem all the firstborn of man among your sons.

ויהי ארי ישאלנך ברך מחר למימר מא דא ותימר לה בתקוף ידא אפקנא יי ממצרים מבית עבדותא:
wyhy ary yshalnk brk mkhr lmymr ma da wthymr lh bthqwp yda apqna yy mmtsrym mbyth ebdwtha
It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that you shall tell him, ‘By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.

והוה ארי אקשי פרעה לשלחותנא וקטל יי כל בוכרא בארעא דמצרים מבוכרא דאנשא ועד בוכרא דבעירא על כן אנא דבח קדם יי כל פתח ולדא דכרין וכל בוכרא דבני אפרוק:
whwh ary aqshy preh lshlkhwthna wqTl yy kl bwkra barea dmtsrym mbwkra dansha wed bwkra dbeyra el kn ana dbkh qdm yy kl pthkh wlda dkryn wkl bwkra dbny aprwq
When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, Yahweh killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of livestock. Therefore I sacrifice to Yahweh all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’

ויהי לאת על ידך ולתפלין בין עיניך ארי בתקוף ידא אפקנא יי ממצרים:
wyhy lath el ydk wlthplyn byn eynyk ary bthqwp yda apqna yy mmtsrym
It shall be for a sign on your hand, and for symbols between your eyes; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought us out of Egypt.”

והוה כד שלח פרעה ית עמא ולא דברינון יי ארח ארעא פלשתאי ארי קריבא הוא ארי אמר יי דילמא יזועון עמא במחזיהון קרבא ויתובון למצרים:
whwh kd shlkh preh yth ema wla dbrynwn yy arkh area plshthay ary qryba hwa ary amr yy dylma yzwewn ema bmkhzyhwn qrba wythwbwn lmtsrym
When Pharaoh had let the people go, God didn’t lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and they return to Egypt”;

ואסחר יי ית עמא ארח מדברא ימא דסוף ומזרזין סליקו בני ישראל מארעא דמצרים:
waskhr yy yth ema arkh mdbra yma dswp wmzrzyn slyqw bny yshral marea dmtsrym
but God led the people around by the way of the wilderness by the Red Sea; and the children of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt.

ואסיק משה ית גרמי יוסף עמה ארי אומאה אומי ית בני ישראל למימר מדכר דכיר יי יתכון ותסקון ית גרמי מכא עמכון:
wasyq mshh yth grmy ywsp emh ary awmah awmy yth bny yshral lmymr mdkr dkyr yy ythkwn wthsqwn yth grmy mka emkwn
Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had made the children of Israel swear, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones away from here with you.”

ונטלו מסכות ושרו באתם בסטר מדברא:
wnTlw mskwth wshrw bathm bsTr mdbra
They took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.

ויי מדבר קדמיהון ביממא בעמודא דעננא לדברותהון באורחא וליליא בעמודא דאשתא לאנהרא להון למיזל ביממא ובליליא:
wyy mdbr qdmyhwn bymma bemwda denna ldbrwthhwn bawrkha wlylya bemwda dashtha lanhra lhwn lmyzl bymma wblylya
Yahweh went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them on their way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light, that they might go by day and by night:

לא יעדי עמודא דעננא ביממא ואף לא עמודא דאשתא בליליא קדם עמא:
la yedy emwda denna bymma wap la emwda dashtha blylya qdm ema
the pillar of cloud by day, and the pillar of fire by night, didn’t depart from before the people.
