ואמר יי למשה ולאהרן בארעא דמצרים למימר:
lmymr dmtsrym barea wlahrn lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,

ירחא הדין לכון ריש ירחין קדמאי הוא לכון לירחי שתא:
shtha lyrkhy lkwn hwa qdmay yrkhyn rysh lkwn hdyn yrkha
“This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you.

מלילו עם כל כנשתא דישראל למימר בעסרא לירחא הדין ויסבון להון גבר אמר לבית אבא אמר לביתא:
lbytha amr aba lbyth amr gbr lhwn wysbwn hdyn lyrkha besra lmymr dyshral knshtha kl em mlylw
Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month, they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household;

ואם יזעיר ביתא מלאתמנאה על אמרא ויסב הוא ושיבבה דקריב לביתה במנין נפשתא גבר לפום מיכלה תתמנון על אמרא:
amra el ththmnwn myklh lpwm gbr npshtha bmnyn lbythh dqryb wshybbh hwa wysb amra el mlathmnah bytha yzeyr wam
and if the household is too little for a lamb, then he and his neighbor next to his house shall take one according to the number of the souls. You shall make your count for the lamb according to what everyone can eat.

אמר שלים דכר בר שתה יהי לכון מן אמריא ומן עזיא תסבון:
thsbwn ezya wmn amrya mn lkwn yhy shthh br dkr shlym amr
Your lamb shall be without defect, a male a year old. You shall take it from the sheep or from the goats.

ויהי לכון למטרא עד ארבעא עסרא יומא לירחא הדין ויכסון יתה כל קהלא כנשתא דישראל בין שמשיא:
shmshya byn dyshral knshtha qhla kl ythh wykswn hdyn lyrkha ywma esra arbea ed lmTra lkwn wyhy
You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at evening.

ויסבון מן דמא ויתנון על תרין ספיא ועל שקפא על בתיא דיכלון יתה בהון:
bhwn ythh dyklwn bthya el shqpa wel spya thryn el wythnwn dma mn wysbwn
They shall take some of the blood, and put it on the two door posts and on the lintel, on the houses in which they shall eat it.

ויכלון ית בסרא בלילא ההוא טוי נור ופטיר על מררין יכלנה:
yklnh mrryn el wpTyr nwr Twy hhwa blyla bsra yth wyklwn
They shall eat the meat in that night, roasted with fire, with unleavened bread. They shall eat it with bitter herbs.

לא תיכלון מנה כד חי ואף לא בשלא מבשל במיא אלהן טוי נור רישיה על כרעוהי ועל גוה:
gwh wel krewhy el ryshyh nwr Twy alhn bmya mbshl bshla la wap khy kd mnh thyklwn la
Don’t eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted with fire; with its head, its legs and its inner parts.

ולא תשארון מנה עד צפרא ודישתאר מנה עד צפרא בנורא תוקדון:
thwqdwn bnwra tspra ed mnh wdyshthar tspra ed mnh thsharwn wla
You shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire.

וכדין תיכלון יתה חרציכון יהון אסירין מסניכון ברגליכון וחוטריכון בידיכון ותיכלון יתה בבהילו פסחא הוא קדם יי:
yy qdm hwa pskha bbhylw ythh wthyklwn bydykwn wkhwTrykwn brglykwn msnykwn asyryn yhwn khrtsykwn ythh thyklwn wkdyn
This is how you shall eat it: with your belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is Yahweh’s Passover.

ואתגליתי בארעא דמצרים בליליא הדין ואקטול כל בוכרא בארעא דמצרים מאנשא ועד בעירא ובכל טעות מצרים אעבד דינין אנא יי:
yy ana dynyn aebd mtsrym Tewth wbkl beyra wed mansha dmtsrym barea bwkra kl waqTwl hdyn blylya dmtsrym barea wathglythy
For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and animal. I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt. I am Yahweh.

ויהי דמא לכון לאת על בתיא די אתון תמן ואחזי ית דמא ואיחוס עליכון ולא יהי בכון מותא לחבלא במקטלי בארעא דמצרים:
dmtsrym barea bmqTly lkhbla mwtha bkwn yhy wla elykwn waykhws dma yth wakhzy thmn athwn dy bthya el lath lkwn dma wyhy
The blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are. When I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

ויהי יומא הדין לכון לדוכרנא ותחגון יתה חגא קדם יי לדריכון קים עלם תחגנה:
thkhgnh elm qym ldrykwn yy qdm khga ythh wthkhgwn ldwkrna lkwn hdyn ywma wyhy
This day shall be a memorial for you. You shall keep it as a feast to Yahweh. You shall keep it as a feast throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.

שבעת יומין פטיר תיכלון ברם ביומא קדמאה תבטלון חמירא מבתיכון ארי כל דיכול חמיע וישתצי אנשא ההוא מישראל מיומא קדמאה עד יומא שביעאה:
shbyeah ywma ed qdmah mywma myshral hhwa ansha wyshthtsy khmye dykwl kl ary mbthykwn khmyra thbTlwn qdmah bywma brm thyklwn pTyr ywmyn shbeth
“‘Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away yeast out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

וביומא קדמאה מערע קדיש וביומא שביעאה מערע קדיש יהי לכון כל עיבידא לא יתעבד בהון ברם די מתאכל לכל נפש הוא בלחודוהי יתעבד לכון:
lkwn ythebd blkhwdwhy hwa npsh lkl mthakl dy brm bhwn ythebd la eybyda kl lkwn yhy qdysh mere shbyeah wbywma qdysh mere qdmah wbywma
In the first day there shall be to you a holy convocation, and in the seventh day a holy convocation; no kind of work shall be done in them, except that which every man must eat, only that may be done by you.

ותטרון ית פטירא ארי בכרן יומא הדין אפיקית ית חיליכון מארעא דמצרים ותטרון ית יומא הדין לדריכון קים עלם:
elm qym ldrykwn hdyn ywma yth wthTrwn dmtsrym marea khylykwn yth apyqyth hdyn ywma bkrn ary pTyra yth wthTrwn
You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this same day I have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.

בניסן בארבעא עסרא יומא לירחא ברמשא תיכלון פטירא עד יומא עסרין וחד לירחא ברמשא:
brmsha lyrkha wkhd esryn ywma ed pTyra thyklwn brmsha lyrkha ywma esra barbea bnysn
In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the twenty first day of the month at evening.

שבעת יומין חמיר לא ישתכח בבתיכון ארי כל דיכול מחמעא וישתצי אנשא ההוא מכנשתא דישראל בגיורא וביציבא דארעא:
darea wbytsyba bgywra dyshral mknshtha hhwa ansha wyshthtsy mkhmea dykwl kl ary bbthykwn yshthkkh la khmyr ywmyn shbeth
There shall be no yeast found in your houses for seven days, for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a foreigner, or one who is born in the land.
20
כל מחמעא לא תיכלון בכל מותבניכון תיכלון פטירא:
pTyra thyklwn mwthbnykwn bkl thyklwn la mkhmea kl
You shall eat nothing leavened. In all your habitations you shall eat unleavened bread.’”
21
וקרא משה לכל סבי ישראל ואמר להון נגידו וסיבו לכון ענא לזרעיתכון וכוסו פסחא:
pskha wkwsw lzreythkwn ena lkwn wsybw ngydw lhwn wamr yshral sby lkl mshh wqra
Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them, “Draw out, and take lambs according to your families, and kill the Passover.

ותסבון אסרת אזובא ותטבלון בדמא דבמנא ותדון לשקפא ולתרין ספיא מן דמא דבמנא ואתון לא תפקון אנש מתרע ביתה עד צפרא:
tspra ed bythh mthre ansh thpqwn la wathwn dbmna dma mn spya wlthryn lshqpa wthdwn dbmna bdma wthTblwn azwba asrth wthsbwn
You shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two door posts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.
23
ויתגלי יי לממחי ית מצרים ויחזי ית דמא על שקפא ועל תרין ספיא ויחוס יי על תרעא ולא ישבוק לחבלא למיעל לבתיכון לממחי:
lmmkhy lbthykwn lmyel lkhbla yshbwq wla threa el yy wykhws spya thryn wel shqpa el dma yth wykhzy mtsrym yth lmmkhy yy wythgly
For Yahweh will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on the lintel, and on the two door posts, Yahweh will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to strike you.
24
ותטרון ית פתגמא הדין לקים לך ולבניך עד עלם:
elm ed wlbnyk lk lqym hdyn pthgma yth wthTrwn
You shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons forever.
25
ויהי ארי תעלון לארעא דיתן יי לכון כמא די מליל ותטרון ית פלחנא הדין:
hdyn plkhna yth wthTrwn mlyl dy kma lkwn yy dythn larea thelwn ary wyhy
It shall happen when you have come to the land which Yahweh will give you, as he has promised, that you shall keep this service.
26
ויהי ארי יימרון לכון בניכון מא פלחנא הדין לכון:
lkwn hdyn plkhna ma bnykwn lkwn yymrwn ary wyhy
It will happen, when your children ask you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’
27
ותימרון דבח חיס הוא קדם יי די חס על בתי בני ישראל במצרים כד הוה מחי ית מצראי וית בתנא שזיב וכרע עמא וסגידו:
wsgydw ema wkre shzyb bthna wyth mtsray yth mkhy hwh kd bmtsrym yshral bny bthy el khs dy yy qdm hwa khys dbkh wthymrwn
that you shall say, ‘It is the sacrifice of Yahweh’s Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians, and spared our houses.’” The people bowed their heads and worshiped.
28
ואזלו ועבדו בני ישראל כמא דפקיד יי ית משה ואהרן כן עבדו:
ebdw kn wahrn mshh yth yy dpqyd kma yshral bny webdw wazlw
The children of Israel went and did so; as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
29
והוה בפלגות ליליא ויי קטל כל בוכרא בארעא דמצרים מבוכרא דפרעה דעתיד למתב על כרסי מלכותה עד בוכרא דשביא די בבית אסירי וכל בוכרא דבעירא:
dbeyra bwkra wkl asyry bbyth dy dshbya bwkra ed mlkwthh krsy el lmthb dethyd dpreh mbwkra dmtsrym barea bwkra kl qTl wyy lylya bplgwth whwh
At midnight, Yahweh struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock.
30
וקם פרעה ליליא הוא וכל עבדוהי וכל מצרים והות צוחתא רבתא במצרים ארי לית ביתא דלא הוה בה תמן מתא:
mtha thmn bh hwh dla bytha lyth ary bmtsrym rbtha tswkhtha whwth mtsrym wkl ebdwhy wkl hwa lylya preh wqm
Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
31
וקרא למשה ולאהרן ליליא ואמר קומו פוקו מגו עמי אף אתון אף בני ישראל ואזילו פלחו קדם יי כמא דהותון אמרין:
amryn dhwthwn kma yy qdm plkhw wazylw yshral bny ap athwn ap emy mgw pwqw qwmw wamr lylya wlahrn lmshh wqra
He called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise up, get out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve Yahweh, as you have said!
32
אף ענכון אף תורכון דברו כמא די מללתן ואזילו וצלו אף עלי:
ely ap wtslw wazylw mllthn dy kma dbrw thwrkwn ap enkwn ap
Take both your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also!”
33
ותקיפת מצרים על עמא לאוחאה לשלחותהון מן ארעא ארי אמרו כלנא מיתין:
mythyn klna amrw ary area mn lshlkhwthhwn lawkhah ema el mtsrym wthqypth
The Egyptians were urgent with the people, to send them out of the land in haste, for they said, “We are all dead men.”
34
ונטל עמא ית לישיהון עד לא חמע מותר אצותהון צריר בלבשהון על כתפיהון:
kthpyhwn el blbshhwn tsryr atswthhwn mwthr khme la ed lyshyhwn yth ema wnTl
The people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes on their shoulders.
35
ובני ישראל עבדו כפתגמא דמשה ושאילו ממצרים מנין דכסף ומנין דדהב ולבושין:
wlbwshyn ddhb wmnyn dksp mnyn mmtsrym wshaylw dmshh kpthgma ebdw yshral wbny
The children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they asked of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and clothing.
36
ויי יהב ית עמא לרחמין בעיני מצרים ואשלינון ורוקינו ית מצרים:
mtsrym yth wrwqynw washlynwn mtsrym beyny lrkhmyn ema yth yhb wyy
Yahweh gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. They plundered the Egyptians.
37
ונטלו בני ישראל מרעמסס לסכות כשת מאה אלפין רגלאין גבריא בר מטפלא:
mTpla br gbrya rglayn alpyn mah kshth lskwth mremss yshral bny wnTlw
The children of Israel traveled from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot who were men, in addition to children.

ואף נוכראין סגיאין סליקו עמהון וענא ותורין בעירא סגי לחדא:
lkhda sgy beyra wthwryn wena emhwn slyqw sgyayn nwkrayn wap
A mixed multitude went up also with them, with flocks, herds, and even very much livestock.
39
ואפו ית לישא די אפיקו ממצרים גריצן פטירן ארי לא חמע ארי אתרכו ממצרים ולא יכילו לאתעכבא ואף זודין לא עבדו להון:
lhwn ebdw la zwdyn wap lathekba ykylw wla mmtsrym athrkw ary khme la ary pTyrn grytsn mmtsrym apyqw dy lysha yth wapw
They baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought out of Egypt; for it wasn’t leavened, because they were thrust out of Egypt, and couldn’t wait, and they had not prepared any food for themselves.
40
ומותב בני ישראל די יתיבו במצרים ארבע מאה ותלתין שנין:
shnyn wthlthyn mah arbe bmtsrym ythybw dy yshral bny wmwthb
Now the time that the children of Israel lived in Egypt was four hundred thirty years.
41
והוה מסוף ארבע מאה ותלתין שנין והוה בכרן יומא הדין נפקו כל חיליא דיי מארעא דמצרים:
dmtsrym marea dyy khylya kl npqw hdyn ywma bkrn whwh shnyn wthlthyn mah arbe mswp whwh
At the end of four hundred thirty years, to the day, all of Yahweh’s armies went out from the land of Egypt.
42
ליל נטיר הוא קדם יי לאפקותהון מארעא דמצרים הוא ליליא הדין קדם יי נטירין לכל בני ישראל לדריהון:
ldryhwn yshral bny lkl nTyryn yy qdm hdyn lylya hwa dmtsrym marea lapqwthhwn yy qdm hwa nTyr lyl
It is a night to be much observed to Yahweh for bringing them out from the land of Egypt. This is that night of Yahweh, to be much observed by all the children of Israel throughout their generations.
43
ואמר יי למשה ולאהרן דא גזירת פסחא כל בר ישראל דישתמד לא יכול בה:
bh ykwl la dyshthmd yshral br kl pskha gzyrth da wlahrn lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the ordinance of the Passover. No foreigner shall eat of it,

וכל עבד גבר זביני כספא ותגזר יתה בכן יכול בה:
bh ykwl bkn ythh wthgzr kspa zbyny gbr ebd wkl
but every man’s servant who is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat of it.
45
תותבא ואגירא לא יכול בה:
bh ykwl la wagyra thwthba
A foreigner and a hired servant shall not eat of it.
46
בחבורא חדא יתאכל לא תפיק מן ביתא מן בסרא לברא וגרמא לא תתברון בה:
bh ththbrwn la wgrma lbra bsra mn bytha mn thpyq la ythakl khda bkhbwra
It must be eaten in one house. You shall not carry any of the meat outside of the house. Do not break any of its bones.
47
כל כנשתא דישראל יעבדון יתה:
ythh yebdwn dyshral knshtha kl
All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
48
וארי יתגיר עמך גיורא ויעבד פסחא קדם יי מגזר לה כל דכורא ובכן יקרב למעבדה ויהי כיציבא דארעא וכל ערלא לא יכול בה:
bh ykwl la erla wkl darea kytsyba wyhy lmebdh yqrb wbkn dkwra kl lh mgzr yy qdm pskha wyebd gywra emk ythgyr wary
When a stranger lives as a foreigner with you, and would like to keep the Passover to Yahweh, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it. He shall be as one who is born in the land; but no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.
49
אוריתא חדא יהא ליציבא ולגיורא דיתגירון ביניכון:
bynykwn dythgyrwn wlgywra lytsyba yha khda awrytha
One law shall be to him who is born at home, and to the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you.”
50
ועבדו כל בני ישראל כמא די פקיד יי ית משה וית אהרן כן עבדו:
ebdw kn ahrn wyth mshh yth yy pqyd dy kma yshral bny kl webdw
All the children of Israel did so. As Yahweh commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
