1
ואמר יי למשה עול לות פרעה ארי אנא יקרית ית לבה וית לבא דעבדוהי בדיל לשואה אתי אלין ביניהון:
bynyhwn alyn athy lshwah bdyl debdwhy lba wyth lbh yth yqryth ana ary preh lwth ewl lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I may show these my signs among them;

ובדיל דתשתעי קדם ברך ובר ברך ית נסין די עבדית במצרים וית אתותי די שויתי בהון ותדעון ארי אנא יי:
yy ana ary wthdewn bhwn shwythy dy athwthy wyth bmtsrym ebdyth dy nsyn yth brk wbr brk qdm dthshthey wbdyl
and that you may tell in the hearing of your son, and of your son’s son, what things I have done to Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am Yahweh.”

ואתא משה ואהרן לות פרעה ואמרו לה כדנן אמר יי אלהא דיהודאי עד אמתי מסרב את לאתכנעא מן קדמי שלח עמי ויפלחון קדמי:
qdmy wyplkhwn emy shlkh qdmy mn lathknea ath msrb amthy ed dyhwday alha yy amr kdnn lh wamrw preh lwth wahrn mshh watha
Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, “This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.

ארי אם סריב את לשלחא ית עמי הא אנא מייתי מחר גובא בתחומך:
bthkhwmk gwba mkhr myythy ana ha emy yth lshlkha ath sryb am ary
Or else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your country,

וחפא ית עין שמשא דארעא ולא יכול למחזי ית ארעא ויכול ית שאר שזבתא דאשתאר לכון מן ברדא ויכול ית כל אילנא דאצמח לכון מן חקלא:
khqla mn lkwn datsmkh aylna kl yth wykwl brda mn lkwn dashthar shzbtha shar yth wykwl area yth lmkhzy ykwl wla darea shmsha eyn yth wkhpa
and they shall cover the surface of the earth, so that one won’t be able to see the earth. They shall eat the residue of that which has escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field.

וימלון בתיך ובתי כל עבדיך ובתי כל מצרים די לא חזו אבהתך ואבהת אבהתך מיומא דמהויהון על ארעא עד יומא הדין ואתפני ונפק מן קדם פרעה:
preh qdm mn wnpq wathpny hdyn ywma ed area el dmhwyhwn mywma abhthk wabhth abhthk khzw la dy mtsrym kl wbthy ebdyk kl wbthy bthyk wymlwn
Your houses shall be filled, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians, as neither your fathers nor your fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were on the earth to this day.’” He turned, and went out from Pharaoh.

ואמרו עבדי פרעה לה עד אמתי יהי דין לנא לתקלא שלח ית גבריא ויפלחון קדם יי אלההון העד כען לא ידעת ארי אבדת מצרים:
mtsrym abdth ary ydeth la ken hed alhhwn yy qdm wyplkhwn gbrya yth shlkh lthqla lna dyn yhy amthy ed lh preh ebdy wamrw
Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve Yahweh, their God. Don’t you yet know that Egypt is destroyed?”

ואתותב ית משה וית אהרן לות פרעה ואמר להון אזילו פלחו קדם יי אלהכון מן ומן דאזלין:
dazlyn wmn mn alhkwn yy qdm plkhw azylw lhwn wamr preh lwth ahrn wyth mshh yth wathwthb
Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh, and he said to them, “Go, serve Yahweh your God; but who are those who will go?”

ואמר משה בעולמנא ובסבנא נזיל בבננא ובבנתנא בעננא ובתורנא נזיל ארי חגא קדם יי לנא:
lna yy qdm khga ary nzyl wbthwrna benna wbbnthna bbnna nzyl wbsbna bewlmna mshh wamr
Moses said, “We will go with our young and with our old. We will go with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds; for we must hold a feast to Yahweh.”

ואמר להון יהי כן מימרא דיי בסעדכון כד אשלח יתכון וית טפלכון חזו ארי בישא דאתון סבירין למעבד לקבל אפיכון לאסתחרא:
lasthkhra apykwn lqbl lmebd sbyryn dathwn bysha ary khzw Tplkwn wyth ythkwn ashlkh kd bsedkwn dyy mymra kn yhy lhwn wamr
He said to them, “Yahweh be with you if I let you go with your little ones! See, evil is clearly before your faces.

לא כן אזילו כען גבריא ופלחו קדם יי ארי יתה אתון בען ותריך יתהון מן קדם פרעה:
preh qdm mn ythhwn wthryk ben athwn ythh ary yy qdm wplkhw gbrya ken azylw kn la
Not so! Go now you who are men, and serve Yahweh; for that is what you desire!” Then they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.

ואמר יי למשה ארים ידך על ארעא דמצרים ויתי גובא ויסק על ארעא דמצרים ויכול ית כל עסבא דארעא ית כל די אשאר ברדא:
brda ashar dy kl yth darea esba kl yth wykwl dmtsrym area el wysq gwba wythy dmtsrym area el ydk arym lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up on the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.”

וארים משה ית חטרה על ארעא דמצרים ויי דבר רוח קדומא בארעא כל יומא ההוא וכל ליליא צפרא הוה ורוח קדומא נטל ית גובא:
gwba yth nTl qdwma wrwkh hwh tspra lylya wkl hhwa ywma kl barea qdwma rwkh dbr wyy dmtsrym area el khTrh yth mshh warym
Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and Yahweh brought an east wind on the land all that day, and all night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

וסליק גובא על כל ארעא דמצרים ושרא בכל תחום מצרים תקיף לחדא קדמוהי לא הוה כן גובא דכותה ובתרוהי לא יהי כן:
kn yhy la wbthrwhy dkwthh gwba kn hwh la qdmwhy lkhda thqyp mtsrym thkhwm bkl wshra dmtsrym area kl el gwba wslyq
The locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the borders of Egypt. They were very grievous. Before them there were no such locusts as they, nor will there ever be again.

וחפא ית עין שמשא דכל ארעא וחשוכת ארעא ואכל ית כל עסבא דארעא וית כל פירי אילנא די אשאר ברדא ולא אשתאר כל ירוקא באילנא ובעסבא דחקלא בכל ארעא דמצרים:
dmtsrym area bkl dkhqla wbesba baylna yrwqa kl ashthar wla brda ashar dy aylna pyry kl wyth darea esba kl yth wakl area wkhshwkth area dkl shmsha eyn yth wkhpa
For they covered the surface of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened, and they ate every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left. There remained nothing green, either tree or herb of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

ואוחי פרעה למקרי למשה ולאהרן ואמר חבית קדם יי אלהכון ולכון:
wlkwn alhkwn yy qdm khbyth wamr wlahrn lmshh lmqry preh wawkhy
Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste, and he said, “I have sinned against Yahweh your God, and against you.

וכען שבוק כען לחובי ברם זמנא הדא וצלו קדם יי אלהכון ויעדי מני לחוד ית מותא הדין:
hdyn mwtha yth lkhwd mny wyedy alhkwn yy qdm wtslw hda zmna brm lkhwby ken shbwq wken
Now therefore please forgive my sin again, and pray to Yahweh your God, that he may also take away from me this death.”

ונפק מלות פרעה וצלי קדם יי:
yy qdm wtsly preh mlwth wnpq
Moses went out from Pharaoh, and prayed to Yahweh.

והפך יי רוחא מערבא תקיף לחדא ונטל ית גובא ורמהי לימא דסוף לא אשתאר גובא חד בכל תחום מצרים:
mtsrym thkhwm bkl khd gwba ashthar la dswp lyma wrmhy gwba yth wnTl lkhda thqyp merba rwkha yy whpk
Yahweh sent an exceedingly strong west wind, which took up the locusts, and drove them into the Red Sea. There remained not one locust in all the borders of Egypt.

ואתקף יי ית לבא דפרעה ולא שלח ית בני ישראל:
yshral bny yth shlkh wla dpreh lba yth yy wathqp
But Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go.
21
ואמר יי למשה ארים ידך על צית שמיא ויהי חשוכא על ארעא דמצרים בתר דיעדי קבל ליליא:
lylya qbl dyedy bthr dmtsrym area el khshwka wyhy shmya tsyth el ydk arym lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.”

וארים משה ית ידה על צית שמיא והוה חשוך קבל בכל ארעא דמצרים תלתא יומין:
ywmyn thltha dmtsrym area bkl qbl khshwk whwh shmya tsyth el ydh yth mshh warym
Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days.

לא חזו אנש ית אחוהי ולא קמו אנש מתחותוהי תלתא יומין ולכל בני ישראל הוה נהורא במותבנהון:
bmwthbnhwn nhwra hwh yshral bny wlkl ywmyn thltha mthkhwthwhy ansh qmw wla akhwhy yth ansh khzw la
They didn’t see one another, and nobody rose from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

וקרא פרעה למשה ואמר אזילו פלחו קדם יי לחוד ענכון ותורכון שבוקו אף טפלכון יזיל עמכון:
emkwn yzyl Tplkwn ap shbwqw wthwrkwn enkwn lkhwd yy qdm plkhw azylw wamr lmshh preh wqra
Pharaoh called to Moses, and said, “Go, serve Yahweh. Only let your flocks and your herds stay behind. Let your little ones also go with you.”

ואמר משה אף את תמסר בידנא נכסת קדשין ועלון ונעבד קדם יי אלהנא:
alhna yy qdm wnebd welwn qdshyn nksth bydna thmsr ath ap mshh wamr
Moses said, “You must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God.

ואף בעירנא יזיל עמנא לא תשתאר מדעם ארי מנה אנחנא נסבין למפלח קדם יי אלהנא ואנחנא לית אנחנא ידעין מה נפלח קדם יי עד מיתנא תמן:
thmn mythna ed yy qdm nplkh mh ydeyn ankhna lyth wankhna alhna yy qdm lmplkh nsbyn ankhna mnh ary mdem thshthar la emna yzyl beyrna wap
Our livestock also shall go with us. Not a hoof shall be left behind, for of it we must take to serve Yahweh our God; and we don’t know with what we must serve Yahweh, until we come there.”
27
ואתקיף יי ית לבא דפרעה ולא אבה לשלחותהון:
lshlkhwthhwn abh wla dpreh lba yth yy wathqyp
But Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he wouldn’t let them go.
28
ואמר לה פרעה אזיל מעלוי אסתמר לך לא תוסיף למחזי אפי ארי ביומא דתחזי אפי תמות:
thmwth apy dthkhzy bywma ary apy lmkhzy thwsyp la lk asthmr melwy azyl preh lh wamr
Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me! Be careful to see my face no more; for in the day you see my face you shall die!”
