ביומא ההוא מסר מלכא אחשורוש לאסתר מלכתא ית ביתא דהמן מעיק יהודאי וית אנשי ביתיה וית כל עתריה ומרדכי על קדם מלכא ארום חויאת ליה אסתר מן הוא לה:
lh hwa mn asthr lyh khwyath arwm mlka qdm el wmrdky ethryh kl wyth bythyh anshy wyth yhwday meyq dhmn bytha yth mlktha lasthr akhshwrwsh mlka msr hhwa bywma
On that day, King Ahasuerus gave the house of Haman, the Jews’ enemy, to Esther the queen. Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was to her.

ואעדי מלכא ית סטומתא דעזקתא די אעביר מהמן ויהבה למרדכי ושויאת אסתר ית מרדכי רב וסרכן על גניסיה דהמן:
dhmn gnysyh el wsrkn rb mrdky yth asthr wshwyath lmrdky wyhbh mhmn aebyr dy dezqtha sTwmtha yth mlka waedy
The king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai. Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

ואוסיפת אסתר ומללת קדם מלכא ונפלת קדם רגלוי ובכיאת ופייסת ליה לבטלא ית בישת המן דמן יחוס דאגג וית זמיוניה די חשיב על יהודאין:
yhwdayn el khshyb dy zmywnyh wyth dagg ykhws dmn hmn byshth yth lbTla lyh wpyysth wbkyath rglwy qdm wnplth mlka qdm wmllth asthr wawsypth
Esther spoke yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet and begged him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his plan that he had planned against the Jews.

ואושיט מלכא לאסתר ית תיגדא דדהבא ואזדקפת אסתר וקמת קדם מלכא:
mlka qdm wqmth asthr wazdqpth ddhba thygda yth lasthr mlka wawshyT
Then the king held out to Esther the golden scepter. So Esther arose, and stood before the king.

ואמרת אין על מלכא שפיר ואין אשכחית רחמין קדמוהי ותקין פתגמא קדם מלכא וטבתא אנא קדמוי בעינוי יפקד מלכא וישים טעם למכתב למהוי תיבין פטקיא זמיוני דהמן בר המדתא דמן יחוס אגג די כתב להובדא ית כל יהודאין די בכל פלכי מלכא:
mlka plky bkl dy yhwdayn kl yth lhwbda kthb dy agg ykhws dmn hmdtha br dhmn zmywny pTqya thybyn lmhwy lmkthb Tem wyshym mlka ypqd beynwy qdmwy ana wTbtha mlka qdm pthgma wthqyn qdmwhy rkhmyn ashkkhyth wayn shpyr mlka el ayn wamrth
She said, “If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight, and the thing seems right to the king, and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews who are in all the king’s provinces.

ארום איכדין אכול לסוברא ולמחמי בבישתא די תתדן ית עמי והיכדין אכול למתעתדא ולמחמי בעידן דיובדון גניסת ילדותי:
yldwthy gnysth dywbdwn beydn wlmkhmy lmthethda akwl whykdyn emy yth ththdn dy bbyshtha wlmkhmy lswbra akwl aykdyn arwm
For how can I endure to see the evil that would come to my people? How can I endure to see the destruction of my relatives?”

ואמר מלכא אחשורוש לאסתר מלכתא ולמרדכי יהודאי הא בית המן יהבית לאסתר ויתיה צליבו על קיסא בגין די אושיט ידיה ביהודאי:
byhwday ydyh awshyT dy bgyn qysa el tslybw wythyh lasthr yhbyth hmn byth ha yhwday wlmrdky mlktha lasthr akhshwrwsh mlka wamr
Then King Ahasuerus said to Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, “See, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and they have hanged him on the gallows because he laid his hand on the Jews.

ואתון סרהיבו כתובו בגין יהודאין כד שפיר בעיניכון בשום מימרא דמלכא וסטימו בעזקתא דסיטומתא דמלכא ארום פטקא דמתכתיב בשום מימרא דמלכא ומסתתם בעזקתא דסטומתא דמלכא לא יתוב ריקנו:
ryqnw ythwb la dmlka dsTwmtha bezqtha wmsththm dmlka mymra bshwm dmthkthyb pTqa arwm dmlka dsyTwmtha bezqtha wsTymw dmlka mymra bshwm beynykwn shpyr kd yhwdayn bgyn kthwbw srhybw wathwn
Write also to the Jews as it pleases you, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s ring; for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the king’s ring, may not be reversed by any man.”

ואתקריאו לבלרין דמלכא בעידנא ההוא בירחי תליתי הוא ירח סיון בעסרין ותלתא יומין ביה ואכתיב ככל די פקיד מרדכי לות יהודאין ולות אסטרטילוסין והפרכין ורברבנין דמתמנן ארכונין על פלכיא דמן הנדיא רבא ועד כוש למאה ועסרין ושבע פלכין פלכא ופלכא כרושם כתבהא ועמא ועמא כממלל לישניה ולות יהודאין כרושם כתביהון וכממלל לישנהון:
lyshnhwn wkmmll kthbyhwn krwshm yhwdayn wlwth lyshnyh kmmll wema wema kthbha krwshm wplka plka plkyn wshbe wesryn lmah kwsh wed rba hndya dmn plkya el arkwnyn dmthmnn wrbrbnyn whprkyn asTrTylwsyn wlwth yhwdayn lwth mrdky pqyd dy kkl wakthyb byh ywmyn wthltha besryn sywn yrkh hwa thlythy byrkhy hhwa beydna dmlka lblryn wathqryaw
Then the king’s scribes were called at that time, in the third month, which is the month Sivan, on the twenty-third day of the month; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded to the Jews, and to the local governors, and the governors and princes of the provinces which are from India to Ethiopia, one hundred twenty-seven provinces, to every province according to its writing, and to every people in their language, and to the Jews in their writing, and in their language.

ואכתב בשום מימרא דמלכא אחשורוש ואסתתם בעזקת סטומתא דמלכא ושלח פטקין בידא דרהטנין רהטי סוסון ורכבי רכסא ערטוליני רמכין דאתנטילו טחוליהון ואתקדרו פסת כף רגליהון:

He wrote in the name of King Ahasuerus, and sealed it with the king’s ring, and sent letters by courier on horseback, riding on royal horses that were bred from swift steeds.

דיהב מלכא ליהודאי לסיעא די בכל קרוא וקרוא לאתכנשא ולקימא ית נפשיהון לשיצאה ולקטלא ולהובדא ית כל חילות עמא ופלכא דמעיקין יתהון טפלין ונשין ושלליהון לעדאה:
ledah wshllyhwn wnshyn Tplyn ythhwn dmeyqyn wplka ema khylwth kl yth wlhwbda wlqTla lshytsah npshyhwn yth wlqyma lathknsha wqrwa qrwa bkl dy lsyea lyhwday mlka dyhb
In those letters, the king granted the Jews who were in every city to gather themselves together and to defend their lives—to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish all the power of the people and province that would assault them, their little ones and women, and to plunder their possessions,

ביומא חד בכל פלכא דמלכא אחשורוש בתלת עסר יומין לירח תרי עסר הוא ירחא דאדר:
dadr yrkha hwa esr thry lyrkh ywmyn esr bthlth akhshwrwsh dmlka plka bkl khd bywma
on one day in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.

דיטגמא דכתבא לאתיהבא גזרת דינא בכל פלכא ופלכא בריר לכל עממיא דיהון יהודאי אטמוסין ליומא הדין לאתפרע מבעלי דבביהון:
dbbyhwn mbely lathpre hdyn lywma aTmwsyn yhwday dyhwn emmya lkl bryr wplka plka bkl dyna gzrth lathyhba dkthba dyTgma
A copy of the letter, that the decree should be given out in every province, was published to all the peoples, that the Jews should be ready for that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.

רהטנין דרכיבין על רכסא ערטוליני נפקו זריזין וסחיפין בפתגמא דמלכא וגזירת דינא אתיהיבת בשושן בירנתא:
byrntha bshwshn athyhybth dyna wgzyrth dmlka bpthgma wskhypyn zryzyn npqw erTwlyny rksa el drkybyn rhTnyn
So the couriers who rode on royal horses went out, hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment. The decree was given out in the citadel of Susa.

ומרדכי נפק מן קדם מלכא בלבושא דמלכותא דתכלא כד חדי ושפיר לביה ביקרא סגי וברבו יתירא לביש לבושא דמלכותא מילא כרפסא ותכלתא שיר בדהב טב דאופיר ומקבעין ביה מרגלין ואבנין טבן לגו מן סרבלא לביש מינקא דכרום ימא מערבא לגו מניה לבושא כתונא דארגון דצירין עלה כל צפר גדפא ועופי שמיא והון דמיה דכתונא ארבע מאה ועסרין ככרי דדהבא והמינא מחית בחרציה די מקבעין בארכוהי אבני בורלא מוקי פרתיאין רמי ברגליה מחתין במוקדונין דדהבא ומתחתמין בזמרגדין וספסרא מדאה תלי בחרציה מחית בחולת חולית דדהבא וציר עלה קרתא דירושלם ועל ידיה דספסרא ציר עלה גדא דמחוזא חידא מדאה מחית ברישיה דציר בצבעונין ועביד לעילא מניה כלילא רבא דדהבא מוקדונא ולעילא מן כלילא טוטפן דמקבעין בדהבא דידעין כל עממיא אומיא ולישניא די הוא מרדכי יהודי למקימא קריא דכתיב ויחזון כל עמא דארעא ארום שמא דיי אתקרי עלך ובמפקיה מרדכי מן תרעא דמלכא שוקיא באסיא מכיבין ודרתא בארגונא נגיד טולא בחבלי בוצא עולמן מחתן ברישיהון כלילן וכהניא נקטין בידיהון חצוצרתא ומכריזין ואמרין כל דלא יתון לשלמא למרדכי ולשלמא ליהודאי הדמין יתעבד וביתיה נולי ישתוה ועסרא בני המן פכירין ידיהון ואזלין וזמרין קדם מרדכי צדיקא ואמרין ומשבחין למן דיהב אגרא ליהודאי ומשלם אגרהון דרשיעיא ברישיהון והדין המן אבונא טפשא דאתרחיץ בעתריה ועל יקריה. מרדכי ענותנא תברה בצומיה ובצלותה ואסתר צדיקתא מדיקא מן חרכא דלית אפשר למלכתא למהלכא עם בני נשא בשוקא חזר מרדכי עינוהי וחזא יתה ואמר לה ברוך יי שלא נתננו טרף לשניהם מתיבא אסתר ואמרת ליה עזרי מעם יי עושה שמים וארץ סגיאין מבני נשא הוו חדין על מפלתיה דהמן רשיעא ומודין ומשבחין על פורקנא דהוה לון ליהודאי ומשבחין על פורקנא ויקרא דהוה ליה למרדכי צדיקא בזמנא ההיא דהכן כתיב ומרדכי צדיקא נפק מן קדם מלכא בלבושא דמלכותא תכלא ומילא וכליל דדהבא רבא מכריך בוצא וארגונא וקרתא דשושן צהלה וחדיא:

Mordecai went out of the presence of the king in royal clothing of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a robe of fine linen and purple; and the city of Susa shouted and was glad.

ליהודאי הות רשותא למעסק באוריתא ולמיטר שביא ומועדיא ולמגזר עורלת בניהון ולאחתא תפילין על ידיהון ועל רישיהון:
ryshyhwn wel ydyhwn el thpylyn wlakhtha bnyhwn ewrlth wlmgzr wmwedya shbya wlmyTr bawrytha lmesq rshwtha hwth lyhwday
The Jews had light, gladness, joy, and honor.

ובכל פילכא ופילכא ובכל קרוא וקרוא אתר די פתגם מלכא וגזירת דיניה מטי חדות ובדיחת לבא ליהודאין ומשתיא ויומא טבא וסגיאין מעמא דארעא מתגיירין ארום נפל פחדא דיהודאי עלויהון:
elwyhwn dyhwday pkhda npl arwm mthgyyryn darea mema wsgyayn Tba wywma wmshthya lyhwdayn lba wbdykhth khdwth mTy dynyh wgzyrth mlka pthgm dy athr wqrwa qrwa wbkl wpylka pylka wbkl
In every province and in every city, wherever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had gladness, joy, a feast and a holiday. Many from among the peoples of the land became Jews, for the fear of the Jews had fallen on them.
