בתר פתגמיא האלין עלת מדת דינא קדם רבון כל עלמא וכן אמרת הלא המן רשיעא נחת מן שושן לירושלם לבטלא בנין בית מוקדשך והא כען רבי מלכא אחשורוש ית המן בר המדתא די מזרעית אגג בר עמלק רשיעא ומניה רב על כולא ותקנין ית כורסיה מעלוי כל רברבניא די עמיה עני מרי עלמא עד כדו לא אשתמודע בעלמא פסיקו מני עד די יתרברב וישתמודע לכל עממיא ומן בתר כן אתפרע מניה על כל עקתין די יעביד איהו ואבהתוי לעמא בית ישראל:
yshral byth lema wabhthwy ayhw yebyd dy eqthyn kl el mnyh athpre kn bthr wmn emmya lkl wyshthmwde ythrbrb dy ed mny psyqw belma ashthmwde la kdw ed elma mry eny emyh dy rbrbnya kl melwy kwrsyh yth wthqnyn kwla el rb wmnyh rshyea emlq br agg mzreyth dy hmdtha br hmn yth akhshwrwsh mlka rby ken wha mwqdshk byth bnyn lbTla lyrwshlm shwshn mn nkhth rshyea hmn hla amrth wkn elma kl rbwn qdm dyna mdth elth halyn pthgmya bthr
After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes who were with him.

וכל עבדי מלכא די בתרע בית מלכא גחנין לאנדרטא די הקים בהדיה וסגדין ליה להמן ארום כן פקיד עלוהי מלכא ומרדכי לא הוה גחין לאנדרטא ולא הוה סגיד להמן על די הוה ליה עבד פלח ואזדבן ליה בטולמא דלחם:
dlkhm bTwlma lyh wazdbn plkh ebd lyh hwh dy el lhmn sgyd hwh wla landrTa gkhyn hwh la wmrdky mlka elwhy pqyd kn arwm lhmn lyh wsgdyn bhdyh hqym dy landrTa gkhnyn mlka byth bthre dy mlka ebdy wkl
All the king’s servants who were in the king’s gate bowed down and paid homage to Haman, for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai didn’t bow down or pay him homage.

ואמרו עבדי מלכא די בתרע פלטרין דמלכא למרדכי מה דין את עבר ית תפקדתא דמלכא:
dmlka thpqdtha yth ebr ath dyn mh lmrdky dmlka plTryn bthre dy mlka ebdy wamrw
Then the king’s servants who were in the king’s gate said to Mordecai, “Why do you disobey the king’s commandment?”

והוה במללותהון לותיה יומא ויומא ולא קבל מנהון וחויאו להמן למחזי היתקימון פתגמי מרדכי כל קביל פתגמי דהמן ארום חוי להון די להמן לא הוה סגיד על דהוה עבדיה דאזדבן ליה בטולמת לחם ולאנדרטא די הקים בהדיה לא הוה גחין על דהוה יהודי ויהודאי לא פלחין ולא גחנין ליה:
lyh gkhnyn wla plkhyn la wyhwday yhwdy dhwh el gkhyn hwh la bhdyh hqym dy wlandrTa lkhm bTwlmth lyh dazdbn ebdyh dhwh el sgyd hwh la lhmn dy lhwn khwy arwm dhmn pthgmy qbyl kl mrdky pthgmy hythqymwn lmkhzy lhmn wkhwyaw mnhwn qbl wla wywma ywma lwthyh bmllwthhwn whwh
Now it came to pass, when they spoke daily to him, and he didn’t listen to them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s reason would stand; for he had told them that he was a Jew.

וחזא המן ארום לית מרדכי גחין לאנדרטא ולא הוה סגיד ליה ואתמלי המן עלוי דמרדכי רתחא:
rthkha dmrdky elwy hmn wathmly lyh sgyd hwh wla landrTa gkhyn mrdky lyth arwm hmn wkhza
When Haman saw that Mordecai didn’t bow down nor pay him homage, Haman was full of wrath.

והוה חוך קדמוי לאושטא ידוי למקטול ית מרדכי בלחודוהי ארום חויאו ליה דמרדכי אתי מן יעקב דשקל מן עשו אבא דאבוי דהמן ית בכורתא וית ברכתא ויהודאי אינון עמא דמרדכי ובעא המן לשיצאה ית כל יהודאי די בכל מלכות אחשורוש עמא דמרדכי:
dmrdky ema akhshwrwsh mlkwth bkl dy yhwday kl yth lshytsah hmn wbea dmrdky ema aynwn wyhwday brktha wyth bkwrtha yth dhmn dabwy aba eshw mn dshql yeqb mn athy dmrdky lyh khwyaw arwm blkhwdwhy mrdky yth lmqTwl ydwy lawshTa qdmwy khwk whwh
But he scorned the thought of laying hands on Mordecai alone, for they had made known to him Mordecai’s people. Therefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even Mordecai’s people.

בירחא קדמאה דהוא ירח ניסן בשתא תרתי עשרי למלכא אחשורוש אפל פורא הוא עדבא קדם המן מן יומא ליומא ומן ירחא לירחא תרי עסר דהוא ירח אדר:
adr yrkh dhwa esr thry lyrkha yrkha wmn lywma ywma mn hmn qdm edba hwa pwra apl akhshwrwsh lmlka eshry thrthy bshtha nysn yrkh dhwa qdmah byrkha
In the first month, which is the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, and chose the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.

ואמר המן למלכא אחשורוש איתי עמא חדא מבדר ומתפרש ביני עממיא ואומיא ולישניא ומקצת מנהון דירין בכל פלכי מלכותא וגזרת אוריתהון שנין מכל עמא לחמנא ותבשילנא ליתהון טעמין חמרנא ליתהון שתן יומי גנוסיא די לנא ליתיהון נטרין ונימוסנא לא מקיימין וית גזירת דיני מלכא ליתיהון עבדין ולמלכא לית ליה טימי מנהון ומה הנאה אית ליה בהון אין ישבקינון על אפי ארעא:

Haman said to King Ahasuerus, “There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom, and their laws are different from other people’s. They don’t keep the king’s laws. Therefore it is not for the king’s profit to allow them to remain.

אין על מלכא שפר יכתב כתבא לאובדא יתהון ועשרת אלפין ככרין דכסף אתקול על ידוי עבדי עבידתא למיתי לבית גנזוי דמלכא ומן יכיל מני שתין רבבן דסלקן אבהתהון מן שעבודהון דמצראי:
dmtsray shebwdhwn mn abhthhwn dslqn rbbn shthyn mny ykyl wmn dmlka gnzwy lbyth lmythy ebydtha ebdy ydwy el athqwl dksp kkryn alpyn weshrth ythhwn lawbda kthba ykthb shpr mlka el ayn
If it pleases the king, let it be written that they be destroyed; and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver into the hands of those who are in charge of the king’s business, to bring it into the king’s treasuries.”

ואעדי מלכא ית גושפנקיה מעלוי ידיה ויהבא להמן בר המדתא דמזרעית אגג מעיקא דיהודאי:
dyhwday meyqa agg dmzreyth hmdtha br lhmn wyhba ydyh melwy gwshpnqyh yth mlka waedy
The king took his ring from his hand, and gave it to Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews’ enemy.

ואמר מלכא להמן כספא יהא מתיהב לך ועמא יהוין מסירין בידך למעבד מה דיוטיב קדמך:
qdmk dywTyb mh lmebd bydk msyryn yhwyn wema lk mthyhb yha kspa lhmn mlka wamr
The king said to Haman, “The silver is given to you, the people also, to do with them as it seems good to you.”

ואתקריאו לבלרין דמלכא בירחא קדמאה בתלת עסר יומין ביה ואתכתיב ככל די פקד המן לות אסטרטילוסי מלכא ולות הפרכין דמתמנן ארכונין על כל פלכיא ופלכיא ולות רברבני עמא ועמא פלכיא ופלכיא כרושם כתבהון ועמא ועמא כממלל לישניה בשום מלכא אחשורוש כתיב ומפרש ומתחתם בגושפנקא דמלכא:
dmlka bgwshpnqa wmthkhthm wmprsh kthyb akhshwrwsh mlka bshwm lyshnyh kmmll wema wema kthbhwn krwshm wplkya plkya wema ema rbrbny wlwth wplkya plkya kl el arkwnyn dmthmnn hprkyn wlwth mlka asTrTylwsy lwth hmn pqd dy kkl wathkthyb byh ywmyn esr bthlth qdmah byrkha dmlka lblryn wathqryaw
Then the king’s scribes were called in on the first month, on the thirteenth day of the month; and all that Haman commanded was written to the king’s local governors, and to the governors who were over every province, and to the princes of every people, to every province according to its writing, and to every people in their language. It was written in the name of King Ahasuerus, and it was sealed with the king’s ring.

ולשדרא פטקין בידא דריהטונין לכל פלכי מלכא לשיצאה ולקטלא ולהובדא ית כל יהודאי מן עולימא ועד סבא טפליא ונשיא ביומא חדא בתלת עסר יומין לירח תרי עסר הוא ירחא דאדר ושלליהון לעדאה:
ledah wshllyhwn dadr yrkha hwa esr thry lyrkh ywmyn esr bthlth khda bywma wnshya Tplya sba wed ewlyma mn yhwday kl yth wlhwbda wlqTla lshytsah mlka plky lkl dryhTwnyn byda pTqyn wlshdra
Letters were sent by couriers into all the king’s provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to plunder their possessions.

דיטגמא דכתבא למהוי מתיהיבא בכל גזרתיה בכל פלכא ופלכא מפרסם לכל עממיא למהויהון זמינין ליומא הדין:
hdyn lywma zmynyn lmhwyhwn emmya lkl mprsm wplka plka bkl gzrthyh bkl mthyhyba lmhwy dkthba dyTgma
A copy of the letter, that the decree should be given out in every province, was published to all the peoples, that they should be ready against that day.

ריהוטנין נפקו זריזין בפתגמא דמלכא וגזרתא אתיהיבת בשושן בירנתא ומלכא והמן הוו יתבין למשתי חמרא וקרתא דשושן מתערבלא בחדות עממין נוכראין ובקל בכיתא דעמא בית ישראל:
yshral byth dema bkytha wbql nwkrayn emmyn bkhdwth mtherbla dshwshn wqrtha khmra lmshthy ythbyn hww whmn wmlka byrntha bshwshn athyhybth wgzrtha dmlka bpthgma zryzyn npqw ryhwTnyn
The couriers went out in haste by the king’s commandment, and the decree was given out in the citadel of Susa. The king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city of Susa was perplexed.
