לכל גבר ייתי זמנא ועדנא לכל עסקא תחות שמיא:
shmya thkhwth esqa lkl wedna zmna yythy gbr lkl
For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven:

עדן בחיר למילד בנין ועדן בחיר לקטלא בנין מסרבין ומרגזין לקטלותהון באבנין על מימר דיניא עדן בחיר למנצב אילן ועדן בחיר לשרשא אילן נציב:
ntsyb ayln lshrsha bkhyr wedn ayln lmntsb bkhyr edn dynya mymr el babnyn lqTlwthhwn wmrgzyn msrbyn bnyn lqTla bkhyr wedn bnyn lmyld bkhyr edn
a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

עדן בחיר לקטלא בקרבא ועדן בחיר לאסאה שכיב מרע עדן בחיר לפרכא בנינא ועדן בחיר למבני חורבנא:
khwrbna lmbny bkhyr wedn bnyna lprka bkhyr edn mre shkyb lasah bkhyr wedn bqrba lqTla bkhyr edn
a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

עדן למבכי על שכיבא עדן בחיר למחדי בחוכא ועדן בחיר למספדא על קטילא ועדן בחיר לטפזא בהלולא:
bhlwla lTpza bkhyr wedn qTyla el lmspda bkhyr wedn bkhwka lmkhdy bkhyr edn shkyba el lmbky edn
a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

עדן בחיר לפקחא דגור אבנין ועדן בחיר למצבר אבנין לבנינא עדן בחיר לגפפא אתתא ועדן בחיר לרחקא מגפפא בשבעת יומי אבלא:
abla ywmy bshbeth mgppa lrkhqa bkhyr wedn aththa lgppa bkhyr edn lbnyna abnyn lmtsbr bkhyr wedn abnyn dgwr lpqkha bkhyr edn
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

עדן בחיר למתבע נכסיא ועדן בחיר למיבד נכסיא עדן בחיר למנטר עסקא ועדן בחיר למשדי עסקא בימא בעדן נחשולא רבא:
rba nkhshwla bedn byma esqa lmshdy bkhyr wedn esqa lmnTr bkhyr edn nksya lmybd bkhyr wedn nksya lmthbe bkhyr edn
a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

עדן בחיר למבזע לבושא על שכיבא ועדן בחיר לאחאה בזיעא עדן בחיר למשתק מלנצאה ועדן בחיר למללא פתגמי מצותא:
mtswtha pthgmy lmlla bkhyr wedn mlntsah lmshthq bkhyr edn bzyea lakhah bkhyr wedn shkyba el lbwsha lmbze bkhyr edn
a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

עדן בחיר למרחם חד לחבריה ועדן בחיר למסני לגבר חיבא עדן בחיר לאגחא קרבא ועדן בחיר למעבד שלמא:
shlma lmebd bkhyr wedn qrba lagkha bkhyr edn khyba lgbr lmsny bkhyr wedn lkhbryh khd lmrkhm bkhyr edn
a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

מה מותר אית לגבר פלח די הוא טרח למעבד אוצרין ולמכנש ממון אלולי מסתיע במזלא דלעילא:
dleyla bmzla msthye alwly mmwn wlmknsh awtsryn lmebd Trkh hwa dy plkh lgbr ayth mwthr mh
What profit has he who works in that in which he labors?

חזית ית גון יסורין ופורענותא די יהב יי לבני אנשא די אינון רשיעין לסגפותהון ביה:
byh lsgpwthhwn rshyeyn aynwn dy ansha lbny yy yhb dy wpwrenwtha yswryn gwn yth khzyth
I have seen the burden which God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with.

אמר שלמה מלכא ברוח נבואה ית כולא עבד יי שפיר בעדניה דחזיא הות מצותא דהות ביומי ירבעם בר נבט למהוי ביומי שבע בר בכרי ואתעכבת והואת ביומי ירבעם בר נבט דאלו הות ביומי שבע בר בכרי לא הות מתבני בית מוקדשא על עסק עגלין דדהב דעבד ירבעם חיבא ושוינון חד בבית אל וחד בדן ומני פרזדון על שבילא ופסקו עולי רגלאין ובגין כן אתעכבת עד זמן דיתבני בית מוקדשא בגין דלא יעכבון ישראל למבני יתיה אף ית שמא רבא דהות כתיב ומפרש על אבן שתיא כסי מנהון דאשתמודע קדמוהי יצרא בישא די בלבהון דאלו הוה מסיר ביד אנש הוה אינשי משמש ביה ומשכח בגוה מה דעתיד למהוי בסוף יומיא עד עלמי עלמיא ואף יום מותא כסי מנהון בדיל דלא יהודע לגבר מן רישא מה דעתיד למיתי בסופא:
bswpa lmythy dethyd mh rysha mn lgbr yhwde dla bdyl mnhwn ksy mwtha ywm wap elmya elmy ed ywmya bswp lmhwy dethyd mh bgwh wmshkkh byh mshmsh aynshy hwh ansh byd msyr hwh dalw blbhwn dy bysha ytsra qdmwhy dashthmwde mnhwn ksy shthya abn el wmprsh kthyb dhwth rba shma yth ap ythyh lmbny yshral yekbwn dla bgyn mwqdsha byth dythbny zmn ed athekbth kn wbgyn rglayn ewly wpsqw shbyla el przdwn wmny bdn wkhd al bbyth khd wshwynwn khyba yrbem debd ddhb eglyn esq el mwqdsha byth mthbny hwth la bkry br shbe bywmy hwth dalw nbT br yrbem bywmy whwath wathekbth bkry br shbe bywmy lmhwy nbT br yrbem bywmy dhwth mtswtha hwth dkhzya bednyh shpyr yy ebd kwla yth nbwah brwkh mlka shlmh amr
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can’t find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.

אמר שלמה מלכא ברוח נביא ידעית ארום לית טב בהון בבני אנשא ארום אלהין למחדי בחדות אוריתא ולמעבד טב ביומי חיוהי:
khywhy bywmy Tb wlmebd awrytha bkhdwth lmkhdy alhyn arwm ansha bbny bhwn Tb lyth arwm ydeyth nbya brwkh mlka shlmh amr
I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live.

ואוף כל אינש דייכול וישתי ויחזי טב ביומוי ויחסין לבנוי בעדן מותיה כל טרחותיה מתנן דאתיהיבת ליה מן קדם יי הוא:
hwa yy qdm mn lyh dathyhybth mthnn Trkhwthyh kl mwthyh bedn lbnwy wykhsyn bywmwy Tb wykhzy wyshthy dyykwl aynsh kl wawp
Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God.

ידעית ברוח נבואה ארום כל דיעביד יי בעלמא בין טב לביש מדאתגזר מפומיה הוא יהא לעלם עלוהי לית רשו לגבר לאוספא ומניה לית רשו לגבר לבצרא ובעדן דייתי פורענותא בעלמא יי הוא דעבד בגין די ידחלון בני אנשא מן קדמוהי:
qdmwhy mn ansha bny ydkhlwn dy bgyn debd hwa yy belma pwrenwtha dyythy wbedn lbtsra lgbr rshw lyth wmnyh lawspa lgbr rshw lyth elwhy lelm yha hwa mpwmyh mdathgzr lbysh Tb byn belma yy dyebyd kl arwm nbwah brwkh ydeyth
I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; and God has done it, that men should fear before him.

מא דהות מן קדמת דנא הא כבר הוא דאתי מה דעתיד למהוי בסוף יומיא הא כבר הוה וליום דינא רבא דעתיד יי למתבע חשוכא ומסכינא מן ידוהי דרשיעא דרדיף ליה:
lyh drdyp drshyea ydwhy mn wmskyna khshwka lmthbe yy dethyd rba dyna wlywm hwh kbr ha ywmya bswp lmhwy dethyd mh dathy hwa kbr ha dna qdmth mn dhwth ma
That which is has been long ago, and that which is to be has been long ago. God seeks again that which is passed away.

ועוד חזית תחות שמשא בעלמא הדין אתר בית דינא דדייני שקרא תמן יחובון לזכאה למפק חייבא בדיניה ואתר דמשתכח תמן גבר זכאי תמן משתכח גברא חייבא למשלט ביה בגין חובי דרא בישא:
bysha dra khwby bgyn byh lmshlT khyyba gbra mshthkkh thmn zkay gbr thmn dmshthkkh wathr bdynyh khyyba lmpq lzkah ykhwbwn thmn shqra ddyyny dyna byth athr hdyn belma shmsha thkhwth khzyth wewd
Moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of justice, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there.

אמרית אנא בלבי ית זכאה וית חיבא ידין יי ביום דינא רבא ארום עדן מתעביד לכל עסקא ועל כל עובדא דעבדו בעלמא הדין אתדונון תמן:
thmn athdwnwn hdyn belma debdw ewbda kl wel esqa lkl mthebyd edn arwm rba dyna bywm yy ydyn khyba wyth zkah yth blby ana amryth
I said in my heart, “God will judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.”

אמרית אנא בלבי על עיסק בני אנשא דייתי עליהון מכתשין ומרעין בישין בגין לנסואיהון ובגין למבחנהון עבד יי למחזי אין תיבין בתיובתא ישתביק להון ויתסון ורשיעיא די אינון כבעירא לא תיבין בגין כן אנון מתוכחין בהון לאבאשא להון:
lhwn labasha bhwn mthwkkhyn anwn kn bgyn thybyn la kbeyra aynwn dy wrshyeya wythswn lhwn yshthbyq bthywbtha thybyn ayn lmkhzy yy ebd lmbkhnhwn wbgyn lnswayhwn bgyn byshyn wmreyn mkthshyn elyhwn dyythy ansha bny eysq el blby ana amryth
I said in my heart, “As for the sons of men, God tests them, so that they may see that they themselves are like animals.

ארום ארעון אנשא חיבא וארעון בעירא מסאבא ארעון חד לכולהון והיכמא דתמות בעירא מסאבא כן ימות דין דלא תאיב בתיובתא קדם מותיה ונשמת רוח תרויהון כחדא אתדן לכל גוון ושארות גברא חיבא מן בעירא מסאבא מדעם בין תרויהון אלהין בית קבורתא ארום כולא הבלו:
hblw kwla arwm qbwrtha byth alhyn thrwyhwn byn mdem msaba beyra mn khyba gbra wsharwth gwwn lkl athdn kkhda thrwyhwn rwkh wnshmth mwthyh qdm bthywbtha thayb dla dyn ymwth kn msaba beyra dthmwth whykma lkwlhwn khd arewn msaba beyra warewn khyba ansha arewn arwm
For that which happens to the sons of men happens to animals. Even one thing happens to them. As the one dies, so the other dies. Yes, they have all one breath; and man has no advantage over the animals, for all is vanity.

כולא אזלין לאתר חד כל דירי ארעא אתבריאו מן עפרא וכד ימותון כולהון עתידין למתוב לעפרא:
lepra lmthwb ethydyn kwlhwn ymwthwn wkd epra mn athbryaw area dyry kl khd lathr azlyn kwla
All go to one place. All are from the dust, and all turn to dust again.

מן הוא חכימא דידע אין רוח נשמתא בני אנשא הסלקא היא לעילא לרקיעא ורוח נשמתא דבעירא הנחתא היא לרע לארעא:
larea lre hya hnkhtha dbeyra nshmtha wrwkh lrqyea leyla hya hslqa ansha bny nshmtha rwkh ayn dyde khkyma hwa mn
Who knows the spirit of man, whether it goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, whether it goes downward to the earth?”

וחזית ארום לית טב בעלמא הדין מדיחדי אנש בעובדוי טבין וייכול וישתי ויוטיב לביה ארום הוא חולקיה טב בעלמא הדין למקני ביה עלמא דאתי דלא יימר אנש בלביה למה דין אנא מבזביז ממונא למעבד צדקתא טב לי דאשבקיניה לברי בתרי או אתזן מניה בעדן סיבתי ארום מן הוא דיעלניה למחזי מה דעתיד למהוי בתרוי:
bthrwy lmhwy dethyd mh lmkhzy dyelnyh hwa mn arwm sybthy bedn mnyh athzn aw bthry lbry dashbqynyh ly Tb tsdqtha lmebd mmwna mbzbyz ana dyn lmh blbyh ansh yymr dla dathy elma byh lmqny hdyn belma Tb khwlqyh hwa arwm lbyh wywTyb wyshthy wyykwl Tbyn bewbdwy ansh mdykhdy hdyn belma Tb lyth arwm wkhzyth
Therefore I saw that there is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his works, for that is his portion; for who can bring him to see what will be after him?
