אושיט לחם פרנסותך לעניי דאזלין בספינן על אפי מיא ארום בתר עדן יומין סגיאין תמן תשכח אגרא לעלמא דאתי:
dathy lelma agra thshkkh thmn sgyayn ywmyn edn bthr arwm mya apy el bspynn dazlyn lenyy prnswthk lkhm awshyT
Cast your bread on the waters; for you shall find it after many days.

הב חולק טב מן זרעא לחקלך בתשרי ולא תתמנע מלמזרע אף בכסלו ארום לא תנדע מה יהי בישא עלוי ארעא אי חרפי נצחן אי אפילי:
apyly ay ntskhn khrpy ay area elwy bysha yhy mh thnde la arwm bkslw ap mlmzre ththmne wla bthshry lkhqlk zrea mn Tb khwlq hb
Give a portion to seven, yes, even to eight; for you don’t know what evil will be on the earth.

אין מתמלין ענניא מטרא על ארעא מערן ית מייהון בגין זכותא דצדיקיא ואין לית זכו בדרא ההוא בימא ובמדברא נחתן דלא יתהנון מנהון בני אנשא ואי אתגזר מן שמיא למנפל מלכא ויעטוהי מן שררותהון מן קדם מימרא דשמיא הוי ואי סובעא וכפנא בדרומא או בציפונא אתר דאתגזר למתקיימא ההיא עיטא תמן משתלחא למהוי:
lmhwy mshthlkha thmn eyTa hhya lmthqyyma dathgzr athr btsypwna aw bdrwma wkpna swbea way hwy dshmya mymra qdm mn shrrwthhwn mn wyeTwhy mlka lmnpl shmya mn athgzr way ansha bny mnhwn ythhnwn dla nkhthn wbmdbra byma hhwa bdra zkw lyth wayn dtsdyqya zkwtha bgyn myyhwn yth mern area el mTra ennya mthmlyn ayn
If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth; and if a tree falls toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falls, there shall it be.

גבר דנטיר חרשין וקוסמין לא יעביד טב לעלם ודמסתכל במזליא לא מגבי אגר ארום חרשין מתילן לרוחא דלא מתפס בידוי דבר נש ומזליא מתילן לענני שמיא דאזלו ולא תיבין:
thybyn wla dazlw shmya lenny mthyln wmzlya nsh dbr bydwy mthps dla lrwkha mthyln khrshyn arwm agr mgby la bmzlya wdmsthkl lelm Tb yebyd la wqwsmyn khrshyn dnTyr gbr
He who observes the wind won’t sow; and he who regards the clouds won’t reap.

היכמא דליתך ידע איכדין יהליך רוח נשמתא דחיי בגוף עולימא שלילא דשרי במעינא דאמיה מעברא והיכמא דלא תנדע אי דכר או נוקבא עד זמן דאתיליד הכדין ליתך ידע ית עובדא דיי דעבד בחוכמתא ית כולא:
kwla yth bkhwkmtha debd dyy ewbda yth yde lythk hkdyn dathylyd zmn ed nwqba aw dkr ay thnde dla whykma mebra damyh bmeyna dshry shlyla ewlyma bgwp dkhyy nshmtha rwkh yhlyk aykdyn yde dlythk hykma
As you don’t know what is the way of the wind, nor how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child; even so you don’t know the work of God who does all.

ביומי עולימתך תסב אתתא דתוליד בנין ולעדן סיבותך לא תשבוק אתת חולקך מלמילד בנין ארום לא אשתמודע לך אידין מנהון אתבחר למהוי טב הדין אידין או תרויהון כחדא טביין:
Tbyyn kkhda thrwyhwn aw aydyn hdyn Tb lmhwy athbkhr mnhwn aydyn lk ashthmwde la arwm bnyn mlmyld khwlqk athth thshbwq la sybwthk wledn bnyn dthwlyd aththa thsb ewlymthk bywmy
In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening don’t withhold your hand; for you don’t know which will prosper, whether this or that, or whether they both will be equally good.

ובסים נהורא דאוריתא וטב לאנהרא עינין חשיכין למחזי יקר אפי שכינתא דעתיד לאנהרא אפי צדיקיא מן זיו שכינתא ולמהוי שופריהון כשמשא:
kshmsha shwpryhwn wlmhwy shkyntha zyw mn tsdyqya apy lanhra dethyd shkyntha apy yqr lmkhzy khshykyn eynyn lanhra wTb dawrytha nhwra wbsym
Truly the light is sweet, and it is a pleasant thing for the eyes to see the sun.

ארום אם יומין סגיאין חיי אנשא בכולהון חזי ליה למחדי ולמעסק באוריתא דיי יהי דכיר ית יומי חשוכא דמותא ולא ייחוב ארום סגיאין אנון יומיא דישכוב שכיבא בבית קבורתא דחמי ליה לקבלא דינא מן שמיא בחיוהי די רחים כל זמן דייתי עלוהי פורענותא על הבלותא די עבד:
ebd dy hblwtha el pwrenwtha elwhy dyythy zmn kl rkhym dy bkhywhy shmya mn dyna lqbla lyh dkhmy qbwrtha bbyth shkyba dyshkwb ywmya anwn sgyayn arwm yykhwb wla dmwtha khshwka ywmy yth dkyr yhy dyy bawrytha wlmesq lmkhdy lyh khzy bkwlhwn ansha khyy sgyayn ywmyn am arwm
Yes, if a man lives many years, let him rejoice in them all; but let him remember the days of darkness, for they shall be many. All that comes is vanity.

חדי עולימא ביומי עולימתך ויהי לבך טב עלך ביומי רביותך ואיזיל בענותנותא עם אורחי לבך ותהי זהיר בחזיוני עינך ולא תסתכל בביש ואשתמודע לך ארום על כל אלין עתיד יי לאעלותך בדינא:
bdyna laelwthk yy ethyd alyn kl el arwm lk washthmwde bbysh thsthkl wla eynk bkhzywny zhyr wthhy lbk awrkhy em benwthnwtha wayzyl rbywthk bywmy elk Tb lbk wyhy ewlymthk bywmy ewlyma khdy
Rejoice, young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.
