שמע ישראל את עבר יומא דין ית ירדנא למעל למירת עממין רברבין ותקיפין מנך קרוין רברבן וכריכן עד צית שמיא:
shme yshral ath ebr ywma dyn yth yrdna lmel lmyrth emmyn rbrbyn wthqypyn mnk qrwyn rbrbn wkrykn ed tsyth shmya
Hear, Israel! You are to pass over the Jordan today, to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to the sky,

עם רב ותקיף בני גבריא די את ידעת ואת שמעת מן יכול למיקם קדם בני גבריא:
em rb wthqyp bny gbrya dy ath ydeth wath shmeth mn ykwl lmyqm qdm bny gbrya
a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you have heard say, “Who can stand before the sons of Anak?”

ותדע יומא דין ארי יי אלהך הוא דעבר קדמך מימריה אשא אכלא הוא ישצנון והוא יתרכנון קדמך ותתרכנון ותובדנון בפריע כמא די מליל יי לך:
wthde ywma dyn ary yy alhk hwa debr qdmk mymryh asha akla hwa yshtsnwn whwa ythrknwn qdmk wththrknwn wthwbdnwn bprye kma dy mlyl yy lk
Know therefore today that Yahweh your God is he who goes over before you as a devouring fire. He will destroy them and he will bring them down before you. So you shall drive them out and make them perish quickly, as Yahweh has spoken to you.

לא תימר בלבך בדיתבר יי אלהך יתהון מקדמך למימר בזכותי אעלני יי למירת ית ארעא הדא ובחובי עממיא האלין יי מתרך להון מקדמך:
la thymr blbk bdythbr yy alhk ythhwn mqdmk lmymr bzkwthy aelny yy lmyrth yth area hda wbkhwby emmya halyn yy mthrk lhwn mqdmk
Don’t say in your heart, after Yahweh your God has thrust them out from before you, “For my righteousness Yahweh has brought me in to possess this land;” because Yahweh drives them out before you because of the wickedness of these nations.

לא בזכותך ובקשיטות לבך את עלל למירת ית ארעהון ארי בחובי עממיא האלין יי אלהך מתרכהון מקדמך ובדיל לאקמא ית פתגמא די קיים יי לאבהתך לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב:
la bzkwthk wbqshyTwth lbk ath ell lmyrth yth arehwn ary bkhwby emmya halyn yy alhk mthrkhwn mqdmk wbdyl laqma yth pthgma dy qyym yy labhthk labrhm lytskhq wlyeqb
Not for your righteousness or for the uprightness of your heart do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

ותדע ארי לא בזכותך יי אלהך יהב לך ית ארעא טבתא הדא למירתה ארי עם קשי קדל את:
wthde ary la bzkwthk yy alhk yhb lk yth area Tbtha hda lmyrthh ary em qshy qdl ath
Know therefore that Yahweh your God doesn’t give you this good land to possess for your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people.

הוי דכיר לא תנשי ית די ארגזתא קדם יי אלהך במדברא למן יומא די נפקתא מארעא דמצרים עד מיתיכון עד אתרא הדין מסרבין הויתון קדם יי:
hwy dkyr la thnshy yth dy argztha qdm yy alhk bmdbra lmn ywma dy npqtha marea dmtsrym ed mythykwn ed athra hdyn msrbyn hwythwn qdm yy
Remember, and don’t forget, how you provoked Yahweh your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you left the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against Yahweh.

ובחרב ארגזתון קדם יי והוה רגז מן קדם יי בכון לשצאה יתכון:
wbkhrb argzthwn qdm yy whwh rgz mn qdm yy bkwn lshtsah ythkwn
Also in Horeb you provoked Yahweh to wrath, and Yahweh was angry with you to destroy you.

במסקי לטורא למסב לוחי אבניא לוחי קימא די גזר יי עמכון ויתבית בטורא ארבעין יממין וארבעין לילון לחמא לא אכלית ומיא לא אשתיתי:
bmsqy lTwra lmsb lwkhy abnya lwkhy qyma dy gzr yy emkwn wythbyth bTwra arbeyn ymmyn warbeyn lylwn lkhma la aklyth wmya la ashthythy
When I had gone up onto the mountain to receive the stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant which Yahweh made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water.

ויהב יי לי ית תרין לוחי אבניא כתיבין באצבעא דיי ועליהון ככל פתגמיא די מליל יי עמכון בטורא מגו אשתא ביומא דקהלא:
wyhb yy ly yth thryn lwkhy abnya kthybyn batsbea dyy welyhwn kkl pthgmya dy mlyl yy emkwn bTwra mgw ashtha bywma dqhla
Yahweh delivered to me the two stone tablets written with God’s finger. On them were all the words which Yahweh spoke with you on the mountain out of the middle of the fire in the day of the assembly.

והוה מסוף ארבעין יממין וארבעין לילון יהב יי לי ית תרין לוחי אבניא לוחי קימא:
whwh mswp arbeyn ymmyn warbeyn lylwn yhb yy ly yth thryn lwkhy abnya lwkhy qyma
It came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights that Yahweh gave me the two stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant.

ואמר יי לי קום חות בפריע מכא ארי חביל עמך די אפקתא ממצרים סטו בפריע מן ארחא די פקדתנון עבדו להון מתכא:
wamr yy ly qwm khwth bprye mka ary khbyl emk dy apqtha mmtsrym sTw bprye mn arkha dy pqdthnwn ebdw lhwn mthka
Yahweh said to me, “Arise, get down quickly from here; for your people whom you have brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned away from the way which I commanded them. They have made a molten image for themselves!”

ואמר יי לי למימר גלי קדמי ית עמא הדין והא עם קשי קדל הוא:
wamr yy ly lmymr gly qdmy yth ema hdyn wha em qshy qdl hwa
Furthermore Yahweh spoke to me, saying, “I have seen these people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people.

אנח בעותך מקדמי ואשצנון ואמחי ית שמהון מתחות שמיא ואעבד יתך לעם תקיף וסגי מנהון:
ankh bewthk mqdmy washtsnwn wamkhy yth shmhwn mthkhwth shmya waebd ythk lem thqyp wsgy mnhwn
Leave me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under the sky; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.”

ואתפניתי ונחתית מן טורא וטורא בער באשתא ותרין לוחי קימא על תרתין ידי:
wathpnythy wnkhthyth mn Twra wTwra ber bashtha wthryn lwkhy qyma el thrthyn ydy
So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire. The two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.

וחזיתי והא חבתון קדם יי אלהכון עבדתון לכון עגל מתכא סטתון בפריע מן ארחא די פקיד יי יתכון:
wkhzythy wha khbthwn qdm yy alhkwn ebdthwn lkwn egl mthka sTthwn bprye mn arkha dy pqyd yy ythkwn
I looked, and behold, you had sinned against Yahweh your God. You had made yourselves a molded calf. You had quickly turned away from the way which Yahweh had commanded you.

ואחדית בתרין לוחיא ורמיתנון מעל תרתין ידי ותברתנון לעיניכון:
wakhdyth bthryn lwkhya wrmythnwn mel thrthyn ydy wthbrthnwn leynykwn
I took hold of the two tablets, and threw them out of my two hands, and broke them before your eyes.

ואשתטחית קדם יי כקדמתא ארבעין יממין וארבעין לילון לחמא לא אכלית ומיא לא אשתיתי על כל חוביכון די חבתון למעבד דביש קדם יי לארגזא קדמוהי:
washthTkhyth qdm yy kqdmtha arbeyn ymmyn warbeyn lylwn lkhma la aklyth wmya la ashthythy el kl khwbykwn dy khbthwn lmebd dbysh qdm yy largza qdmwhy
I fell down before Yahweh, as at the first, forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sin which you sinned, in doing that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger.

ארי דחלית מקדם רגזא וחמתא די רגז יי עליכון לשצאה יתכון וקביל יי צלותי אף בזמנא ההיא:
ary dkhlyth mqdm rgza wkhmtha dy rgz yy elykwn lshtsah ythkwn wqbyl yy tslwthy ap bzmna hhya
For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure with which Yahweh was angry against you to destroy you. But Yahweh listened to me that time also.
20
ועל אהרן הוה רגז מן קדם יי לחדא לשציותיה וצליתי אף על אהרן בעדנא ההיא:
wel ahrn hwh rgz mn qdm yy lkhda lshtsywthyh wtslythy ap el ahrn bedna hhya
Yahweh was angry enough with Aaron to destroy him. I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.

וית חובתכון די עבדתון ית עגלא נסבית ואוקדית יתיה בנורא ושפית יתיה בשופינא יאות עד די הוה דקיק לעפרא ורמת ית עפריה לנחלא דנחת מן טורא:
wyth khwbthkwn dy ebdthwn yth egla nsbyth wawqdyth ythyh bnwra wshpyth ythyh bshwpyna yawth ed dy hwh dqyq lepra wrmth yth epryh lnkhla dnkhth mn Twra
I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burned it with fire, and crushed it, grinding it very small, until it was as fine as dust. I threw its dust into the brook that descended out of the mountain.

ובדלקתא ובנסתא ובקברי דמשאלי מרגזין הויתון קדם יי:
wbdlqtha wbnstha wbqbry dmshaly mrgzyn hwythwn qdm yy
At Taberah, at Massah, and at Kibroth Hattaavah you provoked Yahweh to wrath.

וכד שלח יי יתכון מרקם גיאה למימר סקו ואחסינו ית ארעא די יהבית לכון וסרבתון על גזרת מימרא דיי אלהכון ולא הימנתון ליה ולא קבלתון למימריה:
wkd shlkh yy ythkwn mrqm gyah lmymr sqw wakhsynw yth area dy yhbyth lkwn wsrbthwn el gzrth mymra dyy alhkwn wla hymnthwn lyh wla qblthwn lmymryh
When Yahweh sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying, “Go up and possess the land which I have given you,” you rebelled against the commandment of Yahweh your God, and you didn’t believe him or listen to his voice.

מסרבין הויתון קדם יי מיומא דידעית יתכון:
msrbyn hwythwn qdm yy mywma dydeyth ythkwn
You have been rebellious against Yahweh from the day that I knew you.
25
ואשתטחית קדם יי ית ארבעין יממין וית ארבעין לילון די אשתטחית ארי אמר יי לשצאה יתכון:
washthTkhyth qdm yy yth arbeyn ymmyn wyth arbeyn lylwn dy ashthTkhyth ary amr yy lshtsah ythkwn
So I fell down before Yahweh the forty days and forty nights that I fell down, because Yahweh had said he would destroy you.

וצליתי קדם יי ואמרית יי אלהים לא תחבל עמך ואחסנתך די פרקתא בתקפך די אפקתא ממצרים בידא תקיפא:
wtslythy qdm yy wamryth yy alhym la thkhbl emk wakhsnthk dy prqtha bthqpk dy apqtha mmtsrym byda thqypa
I prayed to Yahweh, and said, “Lord Yahweh, don’t destroy your people and your inheritance that you have redeemed through your greatness, that you have brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

אדכר לעבדיך לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב לא תתפני לקשיות עמא הדין ולחוביהון ולחטאיהון:
adkr lebdyk labrhm lytskhq wlyeqb la ththpny lqshywth ema hdyn wlkhwbyhwn wlkhTayhwn
Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Don’t look at the stubbornness of this people, nor at their wickedness, nor at their sin,

דילמא יימרון דירי ארעא די אפקתנא מתמן מדלית יוכלא דיי לאעלתהון לארעא די מליל להון ומדסני יתהון אפקנון לקטלותהון במדברא:
dylma yymrwn dyry area dy apqthna mthmn mdlyth ywkla dyy laelthhwn larea dy mlyl lhwn wmdsny ythhwn apqnwn lqTlwthhwn bmdbra
lest the land you brought us out from say, ‘Because Yahweh was not able to bring them into the land which he promised to them, and because he hated them, he has brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.’
29
ואנון עמך ואחסנתך די אפקתא בחילך רבא ובדרעך מרממא:
wanwn emk wakhsnthk dy apqtha bkhylk rba wbdrek mrmma
Yet they are your people and your inheritance, which you brought out by your great power and by your outstretched arm.”
