שמע ישראל את עבר יומא דין ית ירדנא למעל למירת עממין רברבין ותקיפין מנך קרוין רברבן וכריכן עד צית שמיא:
shmya tsyth ed wkrykn rbrbn qrwyn mnk wthqypyn rbrbyn emmyn lmyrth lmel yrdna yth dyn ywma ebr ath yshral shme
Hear, Israel! You are to pass over the Jordan today, to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to the sky,

עם רב ותקיף בני גבריא די את ידעת ואת שמעת מן יכול למיקם קדם בני גבריא:
gbrya bny qdm lmyqm ykwl mn shmeth wath ydeth ath dy gbrya bny wthqyp rb em
a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you have heard say, “Who can stand before the sons of Anak?”

ותדע יומא דין ארי יי אלהך הוא דעבר קדמך מימריה אשא אכלא הוא ישצנון והוא יתרכנון קדמך ותתרכנון ותובדנון בפריע כמא די מליל יי לך:
lk yy mlyl dy kma bprye wthwbdnwn wththrknwn qdmk ythrknwn whwa yshtsnwn hwa akla asha mymryh qdmk debr hwa alhk yy ary dyn ywma wthde
Know therefore today that Yahweh your God is he who goes over before you as a devouring fire. He will destroy them and he will bring them down before you. So you shall drive them out and make them perish quickly, as Yahweh has spoken to you.

לא תימר בלבך בדיתבר יי אלהך יתהון מקדמך למימר בזכותי אעלני יי למירת ית ארעא הדא ובחובי עממיא האלין יי מתרך להון מקדמך:
mqdmk lhwn mthrk yy halyn emmya wbkhwby hda area yth lmyrth yy aelny bzkwthy lmymr mqdmk ythhwn alhk yy bdythbr blbk thymr la
Don’t say in your heart, after Yahweh your God has thrust them out from before you, “For my righteousness Yahweh has brought me in to possess this land;” because Yahweh drives them out before you because of the wickedness of these nations.

לא בזכותך ובקשיטות לבך את עלל למירת ית ארעהון ארי בחובי עממיא האלין יי אלהך מתרכהון מקדמך ובדיל לאקמא ית פתגמא די קיים יי לאבהתך לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב:
wlyeqb lytskhq labrhm labhthk yy qyym dy pthgma yth laqma wbdyl mqdmk mthrkhwn alhk yy halyn emmya bkhwby ary arehwn yth lmyrth ell ath lbk wbqshyTwth bzkwthk la
Not for your righteousness or for the uprightness of your heart do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

ותדע ארי לא בזכותך יי אלהך יהב לך ית ארעא טבתא הדא למירתה ארי עם קשי קדל את:
ath qdl qshy em ary lmyrthh hda Tbtha area yth lk yhb alhk yy bzkwthk la ary wthde
Know therefore that Yahweh your God doesn’t give you this good land to possess for your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people.

הוי דכיר לא תנשי ית די ארגזתא קדם יי אלהך במדברא למן יומא די נפקתא מארעא דמצרים עד מיתיכון עד אתרא הדין מסרבין הויתון קדם יי:
yy qdm hwythwn msrbyn hdyn athra ed mythykwn ed dmtsrym marea npqtha dy ywma lmn bmdbra alhk yy qdm argztha dy yth thnshy la dkyr hwy
Remember, and don’t forget, how you provoked Yahweh your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you left the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against Yahweh.

ובחרב ארגזתון קדם יי והוה רגז מן קדם יי בכון לשצאה יתכון:
ythkwn lshtsah bkwn yy qdm mn rgz whwh yy qdm argzthwn wbkhrb
Also in Horeb you provoked Yahweh to wrath, and Yahweh was angry with you to destroy you.

במסקי לטורא למסב לוחי אבניא לוחי קימא די גזר יי עמכון ויתבית בטורא ארבעין יממין וארבעין לילון לחמא לא אכלית ומיא לא אשתיתי:
ashthythy la wmya aklyth la lkhma lylwn warbeyn ymmyn arbeyn bTwra wythbyth emkwn yy gzr dy qyma lwkhy abnya lwkhy lmsb lTwra bmsqy
When I had gone up onto the mountain to receive the stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant which Yahweh made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water.

ויהב יי לי ית תרין לוחי אבניא כתיבין באצבעא דיי ועליהון ככל פתגמיא די מליל יי עמכון בטורא מגו אשתא ביומא דקהלא:
dqhla bywma ashtha mgw bTwra emkwn yy mlyl dy pthgmya kkl welyhwn dyy batsbea kthybyn abnya lwkhy thryn yth ly yy wyhb
Yahweh delivered to me the two stone tablets written with God’s finger. On them were all the words which Yahweh spoke with you on the mountain out of the middle of the fire in the day of the assembly.

והוה מסוף ארבעין יממין וארבעין לילון יהב יי לי ית תרין לוחי אבניא לוחי קימא:
qyma lwkhy abnya lwkhy thryn yth ly yy yhb lylwn warbeyn ymmyn arbeyn mswp whwh
It came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights that Yahweh gave me the two stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant.

ואמר יי לי קום חות בפריע מכא ארי חביל עמך די אפקתא ממצרים סטו בפריע מן ארחא די פקדתנון עבדו להון מתכא:
mthka lhwn ebdw pqdthnwn dy arkha mn bprye sTw mmtsrym apqtha dy emk khbyl ary mka bprye khwth qwm ly yy wamr
Yahweh said to me, “Arise, get down quickly from here; for your people whom you have brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned away from the way which I commanded them. They have made a molten image for themselves!”

ואמר יי לי למימר גלי קדמי ית עמא הדין והא עם קשי קדל הוא:
hwa qdl qshy em wha hdyn ema yth qdmy gly lmymr ly yy wamr
Furthermore Yahweh spoke to me, saying, “I have seen these people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people.

אנח בעותך מקדמי ואשצנון ואמחי ית שמהון מתחות שמיא ואעבד יתך לעם תקיף וסגי מנהון:
mnhwn wsgy thqyp lem ythk waebd shmya mthkhwth shmhwn yth wamkhy washtsnwn mqdmy bewthk ankh
Leave me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under the sky; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.”

ואתפניתי ונחתית מן טורא וטורא בער באשתא ותרין לוחי קימא על תרתין ידי:
ydy thrthyn el qyma lwkhy wthryn bashtha ber wTwra Twra mn wnkhthyth wathpnythy
So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire. The two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.

וחזיתי והא חבתון קדם יי אלהכון עבדתון לכון עגל מתכא סטתון בפריע מן ארחא די פקיד יי יתכון:
ythkwn yy pqyd dy arkha mn bprye sTthwn mthka egl lkwn ebdthwn alhkwn yy qdm khbthwn wha wkhzythy
I looked, and behold, you had sinned against Yahweh your God. You had made yourselves a molded calf. You had quickly turned away from the way which Yahweh had commanded you.

ואחדית בתרין לוחיא ורמיתנון מעל תרתין ידי ותברתנון לעיניכון:
leynykwn wthbrthnwn ydy thrthyn mel wrmythnwn lwkhya bthryn wakhdyth
I took hold of the two tablets, and threw them out of my two hands, and broke them before your eyes.

ואשתטחית קדם יי כקדמתא ארבעין יממין וארבעין לילון לחמא לא אכלית ומיא לא אשתיתי על כל חוביכון די חבתון למעבד דביש קדם יי לארגזא קדמוהי:
qdmwhy largza yy qdm dbysh lmebd khbthwn dy khwbykwn kl el ashthythy la wmya aklyth la lkhma lylwn warbeyn ymmyn arbeyn kqdmtha yy qdm washthTkhyth
I fell down before Yahweh, as at the first, forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sin which you sinned, in doing that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger.

ארי דחלית מקדם רגזא וחמתא די רגז יי עליכון לשצאה יתכון וקביל יי צלותי אף בזמנא ההיא:
hhya bzmna ap tslwthy yy wqbyl ythkwn lshtsah elykwn yy rgz dy wkhmtha rgza mqdm dkhlyth ary
For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure with which Yahweh was angry against you to destroy you. But Yahweh listened to me that time also.

ועל אהרן הוה רגז מן קדם יי לחדא לשציותיה וצליתי אף על אהרן בעדנא ההיא:
hhya bedna ahrn el ap wtslythy lshtsywthyh lkhda yy qdm mn rgz hwh ahrn wel
Yahweh was angry enough with Aaron to destroy him. I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.

וית חובתכון די עבדתון ית עגלא נסבית ואוקדית יתיה בנורא ושפית יתיה בשופינא יאות עד די הוה דקיק לעפרא ורמת ית עפריה לנחלא דנחת מן טורא:
Twra mn dnkhth lnkhla epryh yth wrmth lepra dqyq hwh dy ed yawth bshwpyna ythyh wshpyth bnwra ythyh wawqdyth nsbyth egla yth ebdthwn dy khwbthkwn wyth
I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burned it with fire, and crushed it, grinding it very small, until it was as fine as dust. I threw its dust into the brook that descended out of the mountain.

ובדלקתא ובנסתא ובקברי דמשאלי מרגזין הויתון קדם יי:
yy qdm hwythwn mrgzyn dmshaly wbqbry wbnstha wbdlqtha
At Taberah, at Massah, and at Kibroth Hattaavah you provoked Yahweh to wrath.

וכד שלח יי יתכון מרקם גיאה למימר סקו ואחסינו ית ארעא די יהבית לכון וסרבתון על גזרת מימרא דיי אלהכון ולא הימנתון ליה ולא קבלתון למימריה:
lmymryh qblthwn wla lyh hymnthwn wla alhkwn dyy mymra gzrth el wsrbthwn lkwn yhbyth dy area yth wakhsynw sqw lmymr gyah mrqm ythkwn yy shlkh wkd
When Yahweh sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying, “Go up and possess the land which I have given you,” you rebelled against the commandment of Yahweh your God, and you didn’t believe him or listen to his voice.

מסרבין הויתון קדם יי מיומא דידעית יתכון:
ythkwn dydeyth mywma yy qdm hwythwn msrbyn
You have been rebellious against Yahweh from the day that I knew you.
25
ואשתטחית קדם יי ית ארבעין יממין וית ארבעין לילון די אשתטחית ארי אמר יי לשצאה יתכון:
ythkwn lshtsah yy amr ary ashthTkhyth dy lylwn arbeyn wyth ymmyn arbeyn yth yy qdm washthTkhyth
So I fell down before Yahweh the forty days and forty nights that I fell down, because Yahweh had said he would destroy you.

וצליתי קדם יי ואמרית יי אלהים לא תחבל עמך ואחסנתך די פרקתא בתקפך די אפקתא ממצרים בידא תקיפא:
thqypa byda mmtsrym apqtha dy bthqpk prqtha dy wakhsnthk emk thkhbl la alhym yy wamryth yy qdm wtslythy
I prayed to Yahweh, and said, “Lord Yahweh, don’t destroy your people and your inheritance that you have redeemed through your greatness, that you have brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

אדכר לעבדיך לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב לא תתפני לקשיות עמא הדין ולחוביהון ולחטאיהון:
wlkhTayhwn wlkhwbyhwn hdyn ema lqshywth ththpny la wlyeqb lytskhq labrhm lebdyk adkr
Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Don’t look at the stubbornness of this people, nor at their wickedness, nor at their sin,

דילמא יימרון דירי ארעא די אפקתנא מתמן מדלית יוכלא דיי לאעלתהון לארעא די מליל להון ומדסני יתהון אפקנון לקטלותהון במדברא:
bmdbra lqTlwthhwn apqnwn ythhwn wmdsny lhwn mlyl dy larea laelthhwn dyy ywkla mdlyth mthmn apqthna dy area dyry yymrwn dylma
lest the land you brought us out from say, ‘Because Yahweh was not able to bring them into the land which he promised to them, and because he hated them, he has brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.’
