1
וכען ישראל שמע לקימיא ולדיניא די אנא מאלף יתכון למעבד בדיל דתיחון ותיתון ותירתון ית ארעא די יי אלהא דאבהתכון יהב לכון:
lkwn yhb dabhthkwn alha yy dy area yth wthyrthwn wthythwn dthykhwn bdyl lmebd ythkwn malp ana dy wldynya lqymya shme yshral wken
Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances which I teach you, to do them, that you may live and go in and possess the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, gives you.

לא תוספון על פתגמא די אנא מפקד יתכון ולא תמנעון מניה למטר ית פקודיא דיי אלהכון די אנא מפקד יתכון:
ythkwn mpqd ana dy alhkwn dyy pqwdya yth lmTr mnyh thmnewn wla ythkwn mpqd ana dy pthgma el thwspwn la
You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you.

עיניכון חזן ית די עבד יי בבעל פעור ארי כל גברא די אזל בתר בעל פעור שצייה יי אלהך מבינך:
mbynk alhk yy shtsyyh pewr bel bthr azl dy gbra kl ary pewr bbel yy ebd dy yth khzn eynykwn
Your eyes have seen what Yahweh did because of Baal Peor; for Yahweh your God has destroyed all the men who followed Baal Peor from among you.

ואתון דאדבקתון בדחלתא דיי אלהכון קימין כלכון יומא דין:
dyn ywma klkwn qymyn alhkwn dyy bdkhltha dadbqthwn wathwn
But you who were faithful to Yahweh your God are all alive today.

חזו דאלפית יתכון קימיא ודיניא כמא די פקדני יי אלהי למעבד כן בגו ארעא די אתון עלין תמן למירתה:
lmyrthh thmn elyn athwn dy area bgw kn lmebd alhy yy pqdny dy kma wdynya qymya ythkwn dalpyth khzw
Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as Yahweh my God commanded me, that you should do so in the middle of the land where you go in to possess it.

ותטרון ותעבדון ארי היא חכמתכון וסוכלתנותכון לעיני עממיא די ישמעון ית כל קימיא האלין וימרון לחוד עם חכים וסוכלתן עמא רבא הדין:
hdyn rba ema wswklthn khkym em lkhwd wymrwn halyn qymya kl yth yshmewn dy emmya leyny wswklthnwthkwn khkmthkwn hya ary wthebdwn wthTrwn
Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who shall hear all these statutes and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

ארי מן עם רב די ליה אלהא קריב ליה לקבלא צלותיה בעדן עקתיה כיי אלהנא בכל עדן דאנחנא מצלין קדמוהי:
qdmwhy mtslyn dankhna edn bkl alhna kyy eqthyh bedn tslwthyh lqbla lyh qryb alha lyh dy rb em mn ary
For what great nation is there that has a god so near to them as Yahweh our God is whenever we call on him?

ומן עם רב די ליה קימין ודינין קשיטין ככל אוריתא הדא די אנא יהב קדמיכון יומא דין:
dyn ywma qdmykwn yhb ana dy hda awrytha kkl qshyTyn wdynyn qymyn lyh dy rb em wmn
What great nation is there that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law which I set before you today?

לחוד אסתמר לך וטר נפשך לחדא דילמא תנשי ית פתגמיא די חזו עיניך ודילמא יעדון מלבך כל יומי חייך ותהודענון לבניך ולבני בניך:
bnyk wlbny lbnyk wthhwdenwn khyyk ywmy kl mlbk yedwn wdylma eynyk khzw dy pthgmya yth thnshy dylma lkhda npshk wTr lk asthmr lkhwd
Only be careful, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your children and your children’s children—

יומא די קמתא קדם יי אלהך בחרב כד אמר יי לי כנוש קדמי ית עמא ואשמענון ית פתגמי די ילפון למדחל קדמי כל יומיא די אנון קימין על ארעא וית בניהון ילפון:
ylpwn bnyhwn wyth area el qymyn anwn dy ywmya kl qdmy lmdkhl ylpwn dy pthgmy yth washmenwn ema yth qdmy knwsh ly yy amr kd bkhrb alhk yy qdm qmtha dy ywma
the day that you stood before Yahweh your God in Horeb, when Yahweh said to me, “Assemble the people to me, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.”

וקרבתון וקמתון בשפולי טורא וטורא בער באשתא עד צית שמיא חשוכא עננא ואמיטתא:
wamyTtha enna khshwka shmya tsyth ed bashtha ber wTwra Twra bshpwly wqmthwn wqrbthwn
You came near and stood under the mountain. The mountain burned with fire to the heart of the sky, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.

ומליל יי עמכון מגו אשתא קל פתגמין אתון שמעין ודמות ליתיכון חזן אלהן קלא:
qla alhn khzn lythykwn wdmwth shmeyn athwn pthgmyn ql ashtha mgw emkwn yy wmlyl
Yahweh spoke to you out of the middle of the fire: you heard the voice of words, but you saw no form; you only heard a voice.

וחוי לכון ית קימיה די פקיד יתכון למעבד עשרת פתגמין וכתבנון על תרין לוחי אבניא:
abnya lwkhy thryn el wkthbnwn pthgmyn eshrth lmebd ythkwn pqyd dy qymyh yth lkwn wkhwy
He declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments. He wrote them on two stone tablets.

ויתי פקיד יי בעדנא ההיא לאלפא יתכון קימין ודינין למעבדכון יתהון בארעא די אתון עברין תמן למירתה:
lmyrthh thmn ebryn athwn dy barea ythhwn lmebdkwn wdynyn qymyn ythkwn lalpa hhya bedna yy pqyd wythy
Yahweh commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and ordinances, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it.

ותסתמרון לחדא לנפשתיכון ארי לא חזיתון כל דמות ביומא די מליל יי עמכון בחרב מגו אשתא:
ashtha mgw bkhrb emkwn yy mlyl dy bywma dmwth kl khzythwn la ary lnpshthykwn lkhda wthsthmrwn
Be very careful, for you saw no kind of form on the day that Yahweh spoke to you in Horeb out of the middle of the fire,

דילמא תחבלון ותעבדון לכון צלם דמות כל צורא דמות דכר או נקבא:
nqba aw dkr dmwth tswra kl dmwth tslm lkwn wthebdwn thkhblwn dylma
lest you corrupt yourselves, and make yourself a carved image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

דמות כל בעירא די בארעא דמות כל צפר גדפא די פרח באור רקיע שמיא:
shmya rqye bawr prkh dy gdpa tspr kl dmwth barea dy beyra kl dmwth
the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the sky,
18
דמות כל רחשא די בארעא דמות כל נוני די במיא מלרע לארעא:
larea mlre bmya dy nwny kl dmwth barea dy rkhsha kl dmwth
the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth;

ודילמא תזקוף עיניך לשמיא ותחזי ית שמשא וית סיהרא וית כוכביא כל חילי שמיא ותטעי ותסגוד להון ותפלחנון די זמין יי אלהך יתהון לכל עממיא תחות כל שמיא:
shmya kl thkhwth emmya lkl ythhwn alhk yy zmyn dy wthplkhnwn lhwn wthsgwd wthTey shmya khyly kl kwkbya wyth syhra wyth shmsha yth wthkhzy lshmya eynyk thzqwp wdylma
and lest you lift up your eyes to the sky, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the army of the sky, you are drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which Yahweh your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole sky.
20
ויתכון קריב יי לדחלתיה ואפק יתכון מכורא דפרזלא ממצרים למהוי ליה לעמא אחסנא כיומא הדין:
hdyn kywma akhsna lema lyh lmhwy mmtsrym dprzla mkwra ythkwn wapq ldkhlthyh yy qryb wythkwn
But Yahweh has taken you, and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be to him a people of inheritance, as it is today.
21
ומן קדם יי הוה רגז עלי על פתגמיכון וקיים בדיל דלא למעבר ית ירדנא ובדיל דלא למיעל לארעא טבא די יי אלהך יהב לך אחסנא:
akhsna lk yhb alhk yy dy Tba larea lmyel dla wbdyl yrdna yth lmebr dla bdyl wqyym pthgmykwn el ely rgz hwh yy qdm wmn
Furthermore Yahweh was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I should not go over the Jordan, and that I should not go in to that good land which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance;

ארי אנא מאית בארעא הדא לית אנא עבר ית ירדנא ואתון עברין ותירתון ית ארעא טבא הדא:
hda Tba area yth wthyrthwn ebryn wathwn yrdna yth ebr ana lyth hda barea mayth ana ary
but I must die in this land. I must not go over the Jordan, but you shall go over and possess that good land.
23
אסתמרו לכון דילמא תתנשון ית קימא דיי אלהכון די גזר עמכון ותעבדון לכון צלם דמות כלא די פקדך יי אלהך:
alhk yy pqdk dy kla dmwth tslm lkwn wthebdwn emkwn gzr dy alhkwn dyy qyma yth ththnshwn dylma lkwn asthmrw
Be careful, lest you forget the covenant of Yahweh your God, which he made with you, and make yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which Yahweh your God has forbidden you.
24
ארי יי אלהך מימריה אשא אכלא הוא אל קנא:
qna al hwa akla asha mymryh alhk yy ary
For Yahweh your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.
25
ארי תולדון בנין ובני בנין ותתעתקון בארעא ותחבלון ותעבדון צלם דמות כלא ותעבדון דביש קדם יי אלהך לארגזא קדמוהי:
qdmwhy largza alhk yy qdm dbysh wthebdwn kla dmwth tslm wthebdwn wthkhblwn barea wththethqwn bnyn wbny bnyn thwldwn ary
When you father children and children’s children, and you have been long in the land, and then corrupt yourselves, and make a carved image in the form of anything, and do that which is evil in Yahweh your God’s sight to provoke him to anger,

אסהדית בכון יומא דין ית שמיא וית ארעא ארי מיבד תיבדון בפריע מעל ארעא די אתון עברין ית ירדנא לתמן למירתה לא תורכון יומין עלה ארי אשתצאה תשתצון:
thshthtswn ashthtsah ary elh ywmyn thwrkwn la lmyrthh lthmn yrdna yth ebryn athwn dy area mel bprye thybdwn mybd ary area wyth shmya yth dyn ywma bkwn ashdyth
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you will soon utterly perish from off the land which you go over the Jordan to possess it. You will not prolong your days on it, but will utterly be destroyed.
27
ויבדר יי יתכון בעממיא ותשתארון עם דמנין בעממיא די ידבר יי יתכון לתמן:
lthmn ythkwn yy ydbr dy bemmya dmnyn em wthshtharwn bemmya ythkwn yy wybdr
Yahweh will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where Yahweh will lead you away.
28
ותפלחון תמן לעממיא פלחי טעותא עבד ידי אנשא אעא ואבנא די לא יחזון ולא שמעין ולא אכלין ולא מריחין:
mrykhyn wla aklyn wla shmeyn wla ykhzwn la dy wabna aea ansha ydy ebd Tewtha plkhy lemmya thmn wthplkhwn
There you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
29
ותתבעון מתמן דחלתא דיי אלהך ותשכח ארי תבעי מן קדמוהי בכל לבך ובכל נפשך:
npshk wbkl lbk bkl qdmwhy mn thbey ary wthshkkh alhk dyy dkhltha mthmn wththbewn
But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
30
כד ייעוק לך וישכחנך כל פתגמיא האלין בסוף יומיא ותתוב לדחלתא דיי אלהך ותקבל למימריה:
lmymryh wthqbl alhk dyy ldkhltha wththwb ywmya bswp halyn pthgmya kl wyshkkhnk lk yyewq kd
When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to Yahweh your God and listen to his voice.
31
ארי אלהא רחמנא יי אלהך לא ישבקנך ולא יחבלנך ולא יתנשי ית קימא דאבהתך די קיים להון:
lhwn qyym dy dabhthk qyma yth ythnshy wla ykhblnk wla yshbqnk la alhk yy rkhmna alha ary
For Yahweh your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.
32
ארי שאל כען ליומיא קדמאי דהוו קדמך למן יומא די ברא יי אדם על ארעא ולמסיפי שמיא ועד סיפי שמיא ההוה כפתגמא רבא הדין או האשתמע כותיה:
kwthyh hashthme aw hdyn rba kpthgma hhwh shmya sypy wed shmya wlmsypy area el adm yy bra dy ywma lmn qdmk dhww qdmay lywmya ken shal ary
For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and from the one end of the sky to the other, whether there has been anything as great as this thing is, or has been heard like it?
33
השמע עמא קל מימרא דיי ממלל מגו אשתא כמא די שמעת את ויתקים:
wythqym ath shmeth dy kma ashtha mgw mmll dyy mymra ql ema hshme
Did a people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the middle of the fire, as you have heard, and live?

או נסין די עבד יי לאתגלאה למפרק ליה עם מגו עם בנסין באתין ובמופתין ובקרבא ובידא תקיפא ובדרעא מרמא ובחזונין רברבין ככל די עבד לכון יי אלהכון במצרים לעיניך:
leynyk bmtsrym alhkwn yy lkwn ebd dy kkl rbrbyn wbkhzwnyn mrma wbdrea thqypa wbyda wbqrba wbmwpthyn bathyn bnsyn em mgw em lyh lmprq lathglah yy ebd dy nsyn aw
Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from among another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Yahweh your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
35
את אתחזיתא למדע ארי יי הוא אלהים לית עוד בר מניה:
mnyh br ewd lyth alhym hwa yy ary lmde athkhzytha ath
It was shown to you so that you might know that Yahweh is God. There is no one else besides him.
36
מן שמיא אשמעך ית קל מימריה לאלפותך ועל ארעא אחזיך ית אשתיה רבתא ופתגמוהי שמעת מגו אשתא:
ashtha mgw shmeth wpthgmwhy rbtha ashthyh yth akhzyk area wel lalpwthk mymryh ql yth ashmek shmya mn
Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you. On earth he made you to see his great fire; and you heard his words out of the middle of the fire.
37
וחלף ארי רחים ית אבהתך ואתרעי בבנוהי בתרוהי ואפקך במימריה בחיליה רבא ממצרים:
mmtsrym rba bkhylyh bmymryh wapqk bthrwhy bbnwhy wathrey abhthk yth rkhym ary wkhlp
Because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their offspring after them, and brought you out with his presence, with his great power, out of Egypt;
38
לתרכא עממין רברבין ותקיפין מנך מן קדמך לאעלותך למתן לך ית ארעהון אחסנא כיומא הדין:
hdyn kywma akhsna arehwn yth lk lmthn laelwthk qdmk mn mnk wthqypyn rbrbyn emmyn lthrka
to drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is today.
39
ותדע יומא דין ותתוב ללבך ארי יי הוא אלהא דשכנתיה בשמיא מלעלא ושליט על ארעא מלרע לית עוד:
ewd lyth mlre area el wshlyT mlela bshmya dshknthyh alha hwa yy ary llbk wththwb dyn ywma wthde
Know therefore today, and take it to heart, that Yahweh himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath. There is no one else.
40
ותטר ית קימוהי וית פקודוהי די אנא מפקדך יומא דין די ייטב לך ולבניך בתרך ובדיל דתוריך יומין על ארעא די יי אלהך יהב לך כל יומיא:
ywmya kl lk yhb alhk yy dy area el ywmyn dthwryk wbdyl bthrk wlbnyk lk yyTb dy dyn ywma mpqdk ana dy pqwdwhy wyth qymwhy yth wthTr
You shall keep his statutes and his commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which Yahweh your God gives you for all time.
41
בכן יפרש משה תלת קרוין בעברא דירדנא מדנח שמשא:
shmsha mdnkh dyrdna bebra qrwyn thlth mshh yprsh bkn
Then Moses set apart three cities beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise,
42
למעירוק תמן קטולא די יקטול ית חבריה בלא מנדעי והוא לא סני ליה מאתמלי ומדקמוהי ויערוק לחד מן קרויא האלין ויתקים:
wythqym halyn qrwya mn lkhd wyerwq wmdqmwhy mathmly lyh sny la whwa mndey bla khbryh yth yqTwl dy qTwla thmn lmeyrwq
that the man slayer might flee there, who kills his neighbor unintentionally and didn’t hate him in time past, and that fleeing to one of these cities he might live:
43
ית בצר במדברא בארעא מישרא לשבטא דראובן וית ראמות בגלעד לשבטא דגד וית גולן במתנן לשבטא דמנשה:
dmnshh lshbTa bmthnn gwln wyth dgd lshbTa bgled ramwth wyth drawbn lshbTa myshra barea bmdbra btsr yth
Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, for the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead for the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan for the Manassites.

ודא אוריתא די סדר משה קדם בני ישראל:
yshral bny qdm mshh sdr dy awrytha wda
This is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel.
45
אלין סהדותא וקימיא ודיניא די מליל משה עם בני ישראל במפקהון ממצרים:
mmtsrym bmpqhwn yshral bny em mshh mlyl dy wdynya wqymya shdwtha alyn
These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances which Moses spoke to the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt,

בעברא דירדנא בחילתא לקבל בית פעור בארעא דסיחן מלכא דאמראה די יתב בחשבון די מחא משה ובני ישראל במפקהון ממצרים:
mmtsrym bmpqhwn yshral wbny mshh mkha dy bkhshbwn ythb dy damrah mlka dsykhn barea pewr byth lqbl bkhyltha dyrdna bebra
beyond the Jordan, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel struck when they came out of Egypt.

ויריתו ית ארעיה וית ארעא דעוג מלכא דמתנן תרין מלכי אמראה די בעברא דירדנא מדנח שמשא:
shmsha mdnkh dyrdna bebra dy amrah mlky thryn dmthnn mlka dewg area wyth areyh yth wyrythw
They took possession of his land and the land of Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise;

מערער די על כיף נחלא דארנן ועד טורא דשיאן הוא חרמון:
khrmwn hwa dshyan Twra wed darnn nkhla kyp el dy merer
from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, even to Mount Siyon (also called Hermon),
