יבסם כמטרא אלפני יתקבל כטלא מימרי כרוחי מטרא דנשבין על דתאה וכרסיסי מלקושא די על עשבא:

My doctrine will drop as the rain. My speech will condense as the dew, as the misty rain on the tender grass, as the showers on the herb.

ארי בשמא דיי אנא מצלי הבו רבותא קדם אלהנא:
ary bshma dyy ana mtsly hbw rbwtha qdm alhna
For I will proclaim Yahweh’s name. Ascribe greatness to our God!

תקיפא דשלמין עובדוהי ארי כל ארחתיה דינא אלהא מהימנא דמן קדמוהי עולה לא נפק דמן קדם זכי וקשיט הוא:
thqypa dshlmyn ewbdwhy ary kl arkhthyh dyna alha mhymna dmn qdmwhy ewlh la npq dmn qdm zky wqshyT hwa
The Rock: his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. A God of faithfulness who does no wrong, just and right is he.

חבילו להון לא ליה בניא די פלחו לטעותא דרא דאשניו עובדוהי ואשתניו:
khbylw lhwn la lyh bnya dy plkhw lTewtha dra dashnyw ewbdwhy washthnyw
They have dealt corruptly with him. They are not his children, because of their defect. They are a perverse and crooked generation.

הא קדם יי אתון גמלין דא עמא דקבילו אוריתא ולא חכימו הלא הוא אבוך ואת די ליה הוא עבדך ואתקנך:
ha qdm yy athwn gmlyn da ema dqbylw awrytha wla khkymw hla hwa abwk wath dy lyh hwa ebdk wathqnk
Is this the way you repay Yahweh, foolish and unwise people? Isn’t he your father who has bought you? He has made you and established you.

אדכר יומין דמן עלמא אסתכל בשני דר ודר שאל אבוך ויחוי לך סביך ויימרון לך:
adkr ywmyn dmn elma asthkl bshny dr wdr shal abwk wykhwy lk sbyk wyymrwn lk
Remember the days of old. Consider the years of many generations. Ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.

באחסנא עלאה עממיא בפרשותיה בני אנשא קיים תחומי עממיא למנין בני ישראל:
bakhsna elah emmya bprshwthyh bny ansha qyym thkhwmy emmya lmnyn bny yshral
When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the children of men, he set the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the children of Israel.

ארי חלקא דיי עמיה יעקב עדב אחסנתיה:

For Yahweh’s portion is his people. Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

ספיק צרכיהון בארעא מדברא ובית צחונא אתר די לית מיא אשרנון סחור סחור לשכנתיה אלפנון פתגמי אוריתא נטרנון כבבת עיניהון:

He found him in a desert land, in the waste howling wilderness. He surrounded him. He cared for him. He kept him as the apple of his eye.

כנשרא דמחיש לקניה על בנוהי מתחופף פריס גדפוהי מקבלהון מנטלהון על תקוף אברוהי:

As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, he spread abroad his wings, he took them, he bore them on his feathers.

יי בלחודוהי עתיד לאשריותהון בעלמא דהוא עתיד לאתחדתא ולא יתקים קדמוהי פלחן טעון:

Yahweh alone led him. There was no foreign god with him.

אשרנון על תקפי ארעא ואוכלנון בזת סנאיהון ויהב להון בזת שליטי קרוין ונכסי יתבי כרכין תקיפין:
ashrnwn el thqpy area wawklnwn bzth snayhwn wyhb lhwn bzth shlyTy qrwyn wnksy ythby krkyn thqypyn
He made him ride on the high places of the earth. He ate the increase of the field. He caused him to suck honey out of the rock, oil out of the flinty rock;

יהב להון בזת מלכיהון ושליטיהון עם עתר רברביהון ותקיפיהון עמא דארעהון ואחסנתהון עם בזת חיליהון ומשריתהון ודם גבריהון יתשד כמיא:

butter from the herd, and milk from the flock, with fat of lambs, rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the finest of the wheat. From the blood of the grape, you drank wine.

ועתר ישראל ובעט אצלח תקוף קנא נכסין ושבק פלחן אלהא דעבדיה וארגז קדם תקיפא דפרקיה:

But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked. You have grown fat. You have grown thick. You have become sleek. Then he abandoned God who made him, and rejected the Rock of his salvation.

אקניאו קדמוהי בפלחן טעון בתועבתא ארגיזו קדמוהי:
aqnyaw qdmwhy bplkhn Tewn bthwebtha argyzw qdmwhy
They moved him to jealousy with strange gods. They provoked him to anger with abominations.

דבחו לשדין דלית בהון צרוך דחלן דלא ידענון חדתא די מקריב אתעבידא לא אתעסקו בהון אבהתכון:
dbkhw lshdyn dlyth bhwn tsrwk dkhln dla ydenwn khdtha dy mqryb athebyda la athesqw bhwn abhthkwn
They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods that they didn’t know, to new gods that came up recently, which your fathers didn’t dread.

דחלא תקיפא דבראך אתנשיתא שבקתא פלחן אלהא דעבדך:
dkhla thqypa dbrak athnshytha shbqtha plkhn alha debdk
Of the Rock who became your father, you are unmindful, and have forgotten God who gave you birth.

וגלי קדם יי ותקף רגזיה מדארגיזו קדמוהי בנין ובנן:
wgly qdm yy wthqp rgzyh mdargyzw qdmwhy bnyn wbnn
Yahweh saw and abhorred, because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.

ואמר אסלק שכנתי מנהון גלי קדמי מא יהי בסופיהון ארי דרא דאשניו אנון בניא דלית בהון הימנו:
wamr aslq shknthy mnhwn gly qdmy ma yhy bswpyhwn ary dra dashnyw anwn bnya dlyth bhwn hymnw
He said, “I will hide my face from them. I will see what their end will be; for they are a very perverse generation, children in whom is no faithfulness.

אנון אקניאו קדמי בלא דחלא ארגיזו קדמי בפלחן טעון ואנא אקננון בלא עם בעמא טפשא ארגזנון:
anwn aqnyaw qdmy bla dkhla argyzw qdmy bplkhn Tewn wana aqnnwn bla em bema Tpsha argznwn
They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God. They have provoked me to anger with their vanities. I will move them to jealousy with those who are not a people. I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

ארי קדום תקיף כאשא נפק מקדמי ברגז ושצי עד שאול ארעית ואסף ארעא ועללתה ושצית עד סיפי טוריא:
ary qdwm thqyp kasha npq mqdmy brgz wshtsy ed shawl areyth wasp area wellthh wshtsyth ed sypy Twrya
For a fire is kindled in my anger, that burns to the lowest Sheol, devours the earth with its increase, and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire.

אסף עליהון בישין מכתשי אשצי בהון:
asp elyhwn byshyn mkthshy ashtsy bhwn
“I will heap evils on them. I will spend my arrows on them.

נפיחי כפן ואכולי עוף וכתישי רוחין בישן ושן חיות ברא אגרי בהון עם חמת תניניא דזחלין בעפרא:
npykhy kpn wakwly ewp wkthyshy rwkhyn byshn wshn khywth bra agry bhwn em khmth thnynya dzkhlyn bepra
They shall be wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat and bitter destruction. I will send the teeth of animals on them, with the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.

מברא תתכל חרבא ומתוניא חרגת מותא אף עולמיהון אף עולמתהון ינקיהון עם אנש סביהון:
mbra ththkl khrba wmthwnya khrgth mwtha ap ewlmyhwn ap ewlmthhwn ynqyhwn em ansh sbyhwn
Outside the sword will bereave, and in the rooms, terror on both young man and virgin, the nursing infant with the gray-haired man.

אמרית אחול רגזי עליהון ואשצנון אבטל מבני אנשא דוכרניהון:
amryth akhwl rgzy elyhwn washtsnwn abTl mbny ansha dwkrnyhwn
I said that I would scatter them afar. I would make their memory to cease from among men;

אלולפון רגזא דסנאה כניש דילמא יתרברב בעל דבבא דילמא יימרון ידנא תקיפת לנא ולא מן קדם יי הות כל דא:
alwlpwn rgza dsnah knysh dylma ythrbrb bel dbba dylma yymrwn ydna thqypth lna wla mn qdm yy hwth kl da
were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries should judge wrongly, lest they should say, ‘Our hand is exalted; Yahweh has not done all this.’”

ארי עם מאבדי עצה אנון ולית בהון סוכלתנו:
ary em mabdy etsh anwn wlyth bhwn swklthnw
For they are a nation void of counsel. There is no understanding in them.

אלו חכימו אסתכלו בדא סברו מא יהי בסופיהון:
alw khkymw asthklw bda sbrw ma yhy bswpyhwn
Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

אכדין ירדוף חד אלפא ותרין יערקון לרבותא אלהן תקיפהון מסרנון ויי אשלמנון:
akdyn yrdwp khd alpa wthryn yerqwn lrbwtha alhn thqyphwn msrnwn wyy ashlmnwn
How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and Yahweh had delivered them up?

ארי לא כתקפנא תקפהון ובעלי דבבנא הוו דיננא:
ary la kthqpna thqphwn wbely dbbna hww dynna
For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves concede.

ארי כפרענות עמא דסדום פרענותהון ולקותהון כעם עמרה מחתהון בישין כרישי חוין ותשלמת עובדיהון כמררותהון:
ary kprenwth ema dsdwm prenwthhwn wlqwthhwn kem emrh mkhthhwn byshyn kryshy khwyn wthshlmth ewbdyhwn kmrrwthhwn
For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, of the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poison grapes. Their clusters are bitter.

הא כמרת תניניא כס פרענותהון וכריש פתני חוין אכזראין:
ha kmrth thnynya ks prenwthhwn wkrysh pthny khwyn akzrayn
Their wine is the poison of serpents, the cruel venom of asps.

הלא כל עובדיהון גלן קדמי גניזין ליום דינא באוצרי:
hla kl ewbdyhwn gln qdmy gnyzyn lywm dyna bawtsry
“Isn’t this laid up in store with me, sealed up among my treasures?

קדמי פרענותא ואנא אשלם לעדן דיגלון מארעהון ארי קריב יום תברהון ומבע דעתיד להון:
qdmy prenwtha wana ashlm ledn dyglwn marehwn ary qryb ywm thbrhwn wmbe dethyd lhwn
Vengeance is mine, and recompense, at the time when their foot slides, for the day of their calamity is at hand. Their doom rushes at them.”

ארי ידין יי דינא דעמיה ופרענות עבדוהי צדיקיא יתפרע ארי גלי קדמוהי דבעדן דתתקף עליהון מחת סנאה יהון מטלטלין ושביקין:
ary ydyn yy dyna demyh wprenwth ebdwhy tsdyqya ythpre ary gly qdmwhy dbedn dththqp elyhwn mkhth snah yhwn mTlTlyn wshbyqyn
For Yahweh will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, that there is no one remaining, shut up or left at large.

ויימר אן דחלתהון תקיפא דהוו רחיצין ביה:
wyymr an dkhlthhwn thqypa dhww rkhytsyn byh
He will say, “Where are their gods, the rock in which they took refuge,

די תרב נכסתהון הוו אכלין שתן חמר נסכיהון יקומון כען ויסעדונכון יהון עליכון מגן:
dy thrb nksthhwn hww aklyn shthn khmr nskyhwn yqwmwn ken wysedwnkwn yhwn elykwn mgn
which ate the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you! Let them be your protection.

חזו כען ארי אנא אנא הוא ולית אלה בר מני אנא ממית ומחיי מחינא ואף מסינא ולית מן ידי משזב:

“See now that I myself am he. There is no god with me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand.

ארי אתקנית בשמיא בית שכנתי ואמרית קים אנא לעלמין:
ary athqnyth bshmya byth shknthy wamryth qym ana lelmyn
For I lift up my hand to heaven and declare, as I live forever,

אם על חד תרין כחזו ברקא מסוף שמיא ועד סוף שמיא תתגלי חרבי ותתקף בדינא ידי אתב פרענותא לסנאי ולבעלי דבבי אשלם:
am el khd thryn kkhzw brqa mswp shmya wed swp shmya ththgly khrby wththqp bdyna ydy athb prenwtha lsnay wlbely dbby ashlm
if I sharpen my glittering sword, my hand grasps it in judgment; I will take vengeance on my adversaries, and will repay those who hate me.

ארוי גירי מדמא וחרבי תקטול בעממיא מדם קטילן ושבין לאעדאה כתרין מריש סנאה ובעל דבבא:
arwy gyry mdma wkhrby thqTwl bemmya mdm qTyln wshbyn laedah kthryn mrysh snah wbel dbba
I will make my arrows drunk with blood. My sword shall devour flesh with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the head of the leaders of the enemy.”

שבחו עממיא עמיה ארי פרענות עבדוהי צדיקיא יתפרע ופרענות יתיב לסנאוהי ויכפר על ארעיה ועל עמיה:
shbkhw emmya emyh ary prenwth ebdwhy tsdyqya ythpre wprenwth ythyb lsnawhy wykpr el areyh wel emyh
Rejoice, you nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants. He will take vengeance on his adversaries, and will make atonement for his land and for his people.

ואתא משה ומליל ית כל פתגמי תשבחתא הדא קדם עמא הוא והושע בר נון:
watha mshh wmlyl yth kl pthgmy thshbkhtha hda qdm ema hwa whwshe br nwn
Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Joshua the son of Nun.

ושצי משה למללא ית כל פתגמיא האלין עם כל ישראל:
wshtsy mshh lmlla yth kl pthgmya halyn em kl yshral
Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel.

ואמר להון שוו לבכון לכל פתגמיא די אנא מסהד בכון יומא דין די תפקדנון ית בניכון למטר למעבד ית כל פתגמי אוריתא הדא:
wamr lhwn shww lbkwn lkl pthgmya dy ana mshd bkwn ywma dyn dy thpqdnwn yth bnykwn lmTr lmebd yth kl pthgmy awrytha hda
He said to them, “Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you today, which you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

ארי לא פתגם רקא הוא מנכון ארי הוא חייכון ובפתגמא הדין תורכון יומין על ארעא די אתון עברין ית ירדנא תמן למירתה:
ary la pthgm rqa hwa mnkwn ary hwa khyykwn wbpthgma hdyn thwrkwn ywmyn el area dy athwn ebryn yth yrdna thmn lmyrthh
For it is no vain thing for you, because it is your life, and through this thing you shall prolong your days in the land, where you go over the Jordan to possess it.”

ומליל יי עם משה בכרן יומא הדין למימר:
wmlyl yy em mshh bkrn ywma hdyn lmymr
Yahweh spoke to Moses that same day, saying,

סק לטורא דעבראי הדין טורא דנבו די בארעא דמואב די על אפי ירחו וחזי ית ארעא דכנען די אנא יהב לבני ישראל לאחסנא:
sq lTwra debray hdyn Twra dnbw dy barea dmwab dy el apy yrkhw wkhzy yth area dknen dy ana yhb lbny yshral lakhsna
“Go up into this mountain of Abarim, to Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is across from Jericho; and see the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel for a possession.

ומות בטורא די את סלק לתמן ותתכנש לעמך כמא דמית אהרן אחוך בהור טורא ואתכניש לעמיה:
wmwth bTwra dy ath slq lthmn wththknsh lemk kma dmyth ahrn akhwk bhwr Twra wathknysh lemyh
Die on the mountain where you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor, and was gathered to his people;

על די שקרתון במימרי בגו בני ישראל במי מצות רקם מדברא דצן על די לא קדשתון יתי בגו בני ישראל:
el dy shqrthwn bmymry bgw bny yshral bmy mtswth rqm mdbra dtsn el dy la qdshthwn ythy bgw bny yshral
because you trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you didn’t uphold my holiness among the children of Israel.

ארי מקבל תחזי ית ארעא ולתמן לא תעול לארעא די אנא יהב לבני ישראל:
ary mqbl thkhzy yth area wlthmn la thewl larea dy ana yhb lbny yshral
For you shall see the land from a distance; but you shall not go there into the land which I give the children of Israel.”
