אציתו שמיא ואמלל ותשמע ארעא אמרי פמי:
pmy amry area wthshme wamll shmya atsythw
Give ear, you heavens, and I will speak. Let the earth hear the words of my mouth.

יבסם כמטרא אלפני יתקבל כטלא מימרי כרוחי מטרא דנשבין על דתאה וכרסיסי מלקושא די על עשבא:
eshba el dy mlqwsha wkrsysy dthah el dnshbyn mTra krwkhy mymry kTla ythqbl alpny kmTra ybsm
My doctrine will drop as the rain. My speech will condense as the dew, as the misty rain on the tender grass, as the showers on the herb.

ארי בשמא דיי אנא מצלי הבו רבותא קדם אלהנא:
alhna qdm rbwtha hbw mtsly ana dyy bshma ary
For I will proclaim Yahweh’s name. Ascribe greatness to our God!

תקיפא דשלמין עובדוהי ארי כל ארחתיה דינא אלהא מהימנא דמן קדמוהי עולה לא נפק דמן קדם זכי וקשיט הוא:
hwa wqshyT zky qdm dmn npq la ewlh qdmwhy dmn mhymna alha dyna arkhthyh kl ary ewbdwhy dshlmyn thqypa
The Rock: his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. A God of faithfulness who does no wrong, just and right is he.

חבילו להון לא ליה בניא די פלחו לטעותא דרא דאשניו עובדוהי ואשתניו:
washthnyw ewbdwhy dashnyw dra lTewtha plkhw dy bnya lyh la lhwn khbylw
They have dealt corruptly with him. They are not his children, because of their defect. They are a perverse and crooked generation.

הא קדם יי אתון גמלין דא עמא דקבילו אוריתא ולא חכימו הלא הוא אבוך ואת די ליה הוא עבדך ואתקנך:
wathqnk ebdk hwa lyh dy wath abwk hwa hla khkymw wla awrytha dqbylw ema da gmlyn athwn yy qdm ha
Is this the way you repay Yahweh, foolish and unwise people? Isn’t he your father who has bought you? He has made you and established you.

אדכר יומין דמן עלמא אסתכל בשני דר ודר שאל אבוך ויחוי לך סביך ויימרון לך:
lk wyymrwn sbyk lk wykhwy abwk shal wdr dr bshny asthkl elma dmn ywmyn adkr
Remember the days of old. Consider the years of many generations. Ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.

באחסנא עלאה עממיא בפרשותיה בני אנשא קיים תחומי עממיא למנין בני ישראל:
yshral bny lmnyn emmya thkhwmy qyym ansha bny bprshwthyh emmya elah bakhsna
When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the children of men, he set the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the children of Israel.

ארי חלקא דיי עמיה יעקב עדב אחסנתיה:
akhsnthyh edb yeqb emyh dyy khlqa ary
For Yahweh’s portion is his people. Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

ספיק צרכיהון בארעא מדברא ובית צחונא אתר די לית מיא אשרנון סחור סחור לשכנתיה אלפנון פתגמי אוריתא נטרנון כבבת עיניהון:
eynyhwn kbbth nTrnwn awrytha pthgmy alpnwn lshknthyh skhwr skhwr ashrnwn mya lyth dy athr tskhwna wbyth mdbra barea tsrkyhwn spyq
He found him in a desert land, in the waste howling wilderness. He surrounded him. He cared for him. He kept him as the apple of his eye.

כנשרא דמחיש לקניה על בנוהי מתחופף פריס גדפוהי מקבלהון מנטלהון על תקוף אברוהי:
abrwhy thqwp el mnTlhwn mqblhwn gdpwhy prys mthkhwpp bnwhy el lqnyh dmkhysh knshra
As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, he spread abroad his wings, he took them, he bore them on his feathers.

יי בלחודוהי עתיד לאשריותהון בעלמא דהוא עתיד לאתחדתא ולא יתקים קדמוהי פלחן טעון:
Tewn plkhn qdmwhy ythqym wla lathkhdtha ethyd dhwa belma lashrywthhwn ethyd blkhwdwhy yy
Yahweh alone led him. There was no foreign god with him.

אשרנון על תקפי ארעא ואוכלנון בזת סנאיהון ויהב להון בזת שליטי קרוין ונכסי יתבי כרכין תקיפין:
thqypyn krkyn ythby wnksy qrwyn shlyTy bzth lhwn wyhb snayhwn bzth wawklnwn area thqpy el ashrnwn
He made him ride on the high places of the earth. He ate the increase of the field. He caused him to suck honey out of the rock, oil out of the flinty rock;

יהב להון בזת מלכיהון ושליטיהון עם עתר רברביהון ותקיפיהון עמא דארעהון ואחסנתהון עם בזת חיליהון ומשריתהון ודם גבריהון יתשד כמיא:
kmya ythshd gbryhwn wdm wmshrythhwn khylyhwn bzth em wakhsnthhwn darehwn ema wthqypyhwn rbrbyhwn ethr em wshlyTyhwn mlkyhwn bzth lhwn yhb
butter from the herd, and milk from the flock, with fat of lambs, rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the finest of the wheat. From the blood of the grape, you drank wine.

ועתר ישראל ובעט אצלח תקוף קנא נכסין ושבק פלחן אלהא דעבדיה וארגז קדם תקיפא דפרקיה:
dprqyh thqypa qdm wargz debdyh alha plkhn wshbq nksyn qna thqwp atslkh wbeT yshral wethr
But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked. You have grown fat. You have grown thick. You have become sleek. Then he abandoned God who made him, and rejected the Rock of his salvation.

אקניאו קדמוהי בפלחן טעון בתועבתא ארגיזו קדמוהי:
qdmwhy argyzw bthwebtha Tewn bplkhn qdmwhy aqnyaw
They moved him to jealousy with strange gods. They provoked him to anger with abominations.
17
דבחו לשדין דלית בהון צרוך דחלן דלא ידענון חדתא די מקריב אתעבידא לא אתעסקו בהון אבהתכון:
abhthkwn bhwn athesqw la athebyda mqryb dy khdtha ydenwn dla dkhln tsrwk bhwn dlyth lshdyn dbkhw
They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods that they didn’t know, to new gods that came up recently, which your fathers didn’t dread.

דחלא תקיפא דבראך אתנשיתא שבקתא פלחן אלהא דעבדך:
debdk alha plkhn shbqtha athnshytha dbrak thqypa dkhla
Of the Rock who became your father, you are unmindful, and have forgotten God who gave you birth.
19
וגלי קדם יי ותקף רגזיה מדארגיזו קדמוהי בנין ובנן:
wbnn bnyn qdmwhy mdargyzw rgzyh wthqp yy qdm wgly
Yahweh saw and abhorred, because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
20
ואמר אסלק שכנתי מנהון גלי קדמי מא יהי בסופיהון ארי דרא דאשניו אנון בניא דלית בהון הימנו:
hymnw bhwn dlyth bnya anwn dashnyw dra ary bswpyhwn yhy ma qdmy gly mnhwn shknthy aslq wamr
He said, “I will hide my face from them. I will see what their end will be; for they are a very perverse generation, children in whom is no faithfulness.

אנון אקניאו קדמי בלא דחלא ארגיזו קדמי בפלחן טעון ואנא אקננון בלא עם בעמא טפשא ארגזנון:
argznwn Tpsha bema em bla aqnnwn wana Tewn bplkhn qdmy argyzw dkhla bla qdmy aqnyaw anwn
They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God. They have provoked me to anger with their vanities. I will move them to jealousy with those who are not a people. I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

ארי קדום תקיף כאשא נפק מקדמי ברגז ושצי עד שאול ארעית ואסף ארעא ועללתה ושצית עד סיפי טוריא:
Twrya sypy ed wshtsyth wellthh area wasp areyth shawl ed wshtsy brgz mqdmy npq kasha thqyp qdwm ary
For a fire is kindled in my anger, that burns to the lowest Sheol, devours the earth with its increase, and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire.

אסף עליהון בישין מכתשי אשצי בהון:
bhwn ashtsy mkthshy byshyn elyhwn asp
“I will heap evils on them. I will spend my arrows on them.
24
נפיחי כפן ואכולי עוף וכתישי רוחין בישן ושן חיות ברא אגרי בהון עם חמת תניניא דזחלין בעפרא:
bepra dzkhlyn thnynya khmth em bhwn agry bra khywth wshn byshn rwkhyn wkthyshy ewp wakwly kpn npykhy
They shall be wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat and bitter destruction. I will send the teeth of animals on them, with the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.
25
מברא תתכל חרבא ומתוניא חרגת מותא אף עולמיהון אף עולמתהון ינקיהון עם אנש סביהון:
sbyhwn ansh em ynqyhwn ewlmthhwn ap ewlmyhwn ap mwtha khrgth wmthwnya khrba ththkl mbra
Outside the sword will bereave, and in the rooms, terror on both young man and virgin, the nursing infant with the gray-haired man.

אמרית אחול רגזי עליהון ואשצנון אבטל מבני אנשא דוכרניהון:
dwkrnyhwn ansha mbny abTl washtsnwn elyhwn rgzy akhwl amryth
I said that I would scatter them afar. I would make their memory to cease from among men;
27
אלולפון רגזא דסנאה כניש דילמא יתרברב בעל דבבא דילמא יימרון ידנא תקיפת לנא ולא מן קדם יי הות כל דא:
da kl hwth yy qdm mn wla lna thqypth ydna yymrwn dylma dbba bel ythrbrb dylma knysh dsnah rgza alwlpwn
were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries should judge wrongly, lest they should say, ‘Our hand is exalted; Yahweh has not done all this.’”

ארי עם מאבדי עצה אנון ולית בהון סוכלתנו:
swklthnw bhwn wlyth anwn etsh mabdy em ary
For they are a nation void of counsel. There is no understanding in them.
29
אלו חכימו אסתכלו בדא סברו מא יהי בסופיהון:
bswpyhwn yhy ma sbrw bda asthklw khkymw alw
Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
30
אכדין ירדוף חד אלפא ותרין יערקון לרבותא אלהן תקיפהון מסרנון ויי אשלמנון:
ashlmnwn wyy msrnwn thqyphwn alhn lrbwtha yerqwn wthryn alpa khd yrdwp akdyn
How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and Yahweh had delivered them up?
31
ארי לא כתקפנא תקפהון ובעלי דבבנא הוו דיננא:
dynna hww dbbna wbely thqphwn kthqpna la ary
For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves concede.
32
ארי כפרענות עמא דסדום פרענותהון ולקותהון כעם עמרה מחתהון בישין כרישי חוין ותשלמת עובדיהון כמררותהון:
kmrrwthhwn ewbdyhwn wthshlmth khwyn kryshy byshyn mkhthhwn emrh kem wlqwthhwn prenwthhwn dsdwm ema kprenwth ary
For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, of the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poison grapes. Their clusters are bitter.
33
הא כמרת תניניא כס פרענותהון וכריש פתני חוין אכזראין:
akzrayn khwyn pthny wkrysh prenwthhwn ks thnynya kmrth ha
Their wine is the poison of serpents, the cruel venom of asps.

הלא כל עובדיהון גלן קדמי גניזין ליום דינא באוצרי:
bawtsry dyna lywm gnyzyn qdmy gln ewbdyhwn kl hla
“Isn’t this laid up in store with me, sealed up among my treasures?
35
קדמי פרענותא ואנא אשלם לעדן דיגלון מארעהון ארי קריב יום תברהון ומבע דעתיד להון:
lhwn dethyd wmbe thbrhwn ywm qryb ary marehwn dyglwn ledn ashlm wana prenwtha qdmy
Vengeance is mine, and recompense, at the time when their foot slides, for the day of their calamity is at hand. Their doom rushes at them.”

ארי ידין יי דינא דעמיה ופרענות עבדוהי צדיקיא יתפרע ארי גלי קדמוהי דבעדן דתתקף עליהון מחת סנאה יהון מטלטלין ושביקין:
wshbyqyn mTlTlyn yhwn snah mkhth elyhwn dththqp dbedn qdmwhy gly ary ythpre tsdyqya ebdwhy wprenwth demyh dyna yy ydyn ary
For Yahweh will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, that there is no one remaining, shut up or left at large.
37
ויימר אן דחלתהון תקיפא דהוו רחיצין ביה:
byh rkhytsyn dhww thqypa dkhlthhwn an wyymr
He will say, “Where are their gods, the rock in which they took refuge,
38
די תרב נכסתהון הוו אכלין שתן חמר נסכיהון יקומון כען ויסעדונכון יהון עליכון מגן:
mgn elykwn yhwn wysedwnkwn ken yqwmwn nskyhwn khmr shthn aklyn hww nksthhwn thrb dy
which ate the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you! Let them be your protection.
39
חזו כען ארי אנא אנא הוא ולית אלה בר מני אנא ממית ומחיי מחינא ואף מסינא ולית מן ידי משזב:
mshzb ydy mn wlyth msyna wap mkhyna wmkhyy mmyth ana mny br alh wlyth hwa ana ana ary ken khzw
“See now that I myself am he. There is no god with me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand.

ארי אתקנית בשמיא בית שכנתי ואמרית קים אנא לעלמין:
lelmyn ana qym wamryth shknthy byth bshmya athqnyth ary
For I lift up my hand to heaven and declare, as I live forever,
41
אם על חד תרין כחזו ברקא מסוף שמיא ועד סוף שמיא תתגלי חרבי ותתקף בדינא ידי אתב פרענותא לסנאי ולבעלי דבבי אשלם:
ashlm dbby wlbely lsnay prenwtha athb ydy bdyna wththqp khrby ththgly shmya swp wed shmya mswp brqa kkhzw thryn khd el am
if I sharpen my glittering sword, my hand grasps it in judgment; I will take vengeance on my adversaries, and will repay those who hate me.
42
ארוי גירי מדמא וחרבי תקטול בעממיא מדם קטילן ושבין לאעדאה כתרין מריש סנאה ובעל דבבא:
dbba wbel snah mrysh kthryn laedah wshbyn qTyln mdm bemmya thqTwl wkhrby mdma gyry arwy
I will make my arrows drunk with blood. My sword shall devour flesh with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the head of the leaders of the enemy.”
43
שבחו עממיא עמיה ארי פרענות עבדוהי צדיקיא יתפרע ופרענות יתיב לסנאוהי ויכפר על ארעיה ועל עמיה:
emyh wel areyh el wykpr lsnawhy ythyb wprenwth ythpre tsdyqya ebdwhy prenwth ary emyh emmya shbkhw
Rejoice, you nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants. He will take vengeance on his adversaries, and will make atonement for his land and for his people.
44
ואתא משה ומליל ית כל פתגמי תשבחתא הדא קדם עמא הוא והושע בר נון:
nwn br whwshe hwa ema qdm hda thshbkhtha pthgmy kl yth wmlyl mshh watha
Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Joshua the son of Nun.

ושצי משה למללא ית כל פתגמיא האלין עם כל ישראל:
yshral kl em halyn pthgmya kl yth lmlla mshh wshtsy
Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel.
46
ואמר להון שוו לבכון לכל פתגמיא די אנא מסהד בכון יומא דין די תפקדנון ית בניכון למטר למעבד ית כל פתגמי אוריתא הדא:
hda awrytha pthgmy kl yth lmebd lmTr bnykwn yth thpqdnwn dy dyn ywma bkwn mshd ana dy pthgmya lkl lbkwn shww lhwn wamr
He said to them, “Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you today, which you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

ארי לא פתגם רקא הוא מנכון ארי הוא חייכון ובפתגמא הדין תורכון יומין על ארעא די אתון עברין ית ירדנא תמן למירתה:
lmyrthh thmn yrdna yth ebryn athwn dy area el ywmyn thwrkwn hdyn wbpthgma khyykwn hwa ary mnkwn hwa rqa pthgm la ary
For it is no vain thing for you, because it is your life, and through this thing you shall prolong your days in the land, where you go over the Jordan to possess it.”

ומליל יי עם משה בכרן יומא הדין למימר:
lmymr hdyn ywma bkrn mshh em yy wmlyl
Yahweh spoke to Moses that same day, saying,

סק לטורא דעבראי הדין טורא דנבו די בארעא דמואב די על אפי ירחו וחזי ית ארעא דכנען די אנא יהב לבני ישראל לאחסנא:
lakhsna yshral lbny yhb ana dy dknen area yth wkhzy yrkhw apy el dy dmwab barea dy dnbw Twra hdyn debray lTwra sq
“Go up into this mountain of Abarim, to Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is across from Jericho; and see the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel for a possession.

ומות בטורא די את סלק לתמן ותתכנש לעמך כמא דמית אהרן אחוך בהור טורא ואתכניש לעמיה:
lemyh wathknysh Twra bhwr akhwk ahrn dmyth kma lemk wththknsh lthmn slq ath dy bTwra wmwth
Die on the mountain where you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor, and was gathered to his people;

על די שקרתון במימרי בגו בני ישראל במי מצות רקם מדברא דצן על די לא קדשתון יתי בגו בני ישראל:
yshral bny bgw ythy qdshthwn la dy el dtsn mdbra rqm mtswth bmy yshral bny bgw bmymry shqrthwn dy el
because you trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you didn’t uphold my holiness among the children of Israel.
