1
ואזל משה ומליל ית פתגמיא האלין עם כל ישראל:
yshral kl em halyn pthgmya yth wmlyl mshh wazl
Moses went and spoke these words to all Israel.

ואמר להון בר מאה ועשרין שנין אנא יומא דין לית אנא יכיל עוד למפק ולמעל ויי אמר לי לא תעבר ית ירדנא הדין:
hdyn yrdna yth thebr la ly amr wyy wlmel lmpq ewd ykyl ana lyth dyn ywma ana shnyn weshryn mah br lhwn wamr
He said to them, “I am one hundred twenty years old today. I can no more go out and come in. Yahweh has said to me, ‘You shall not go over this Jordan.’

יי אלהך מימריה יעבר קדמך הוא ישצי ית עממיא האלין מקדמך ותירתנון יהושע הוא עבר קדמך כמא די מליל יי:
yy mlyl dy kma qdmk ebr hwa yhwshe wthyrthnwn mqdmk halyn emmya yth yshtsy hwa qdmk yebr mymryh alhk yy
Yahweh your God himself will go over before you. He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua will go over before you, as Yahweh has spoken.

ויעבד יי להון כמא די עבד לסיחון ולעוג מלכי אמראה ולארעהון די שצי יתהון:
ythhwn shtsy dy wlarehwn amrah mlky wlewg lsykhwn ebd dy kma lhwn yy wyebd
Yahweh will do to them as he did to Sihon and to Og, the kings of the Amorites, and to their land, when he destroyed them.

וימסרנון יי קדמיכון ותעבדון להון ככל תפקדתא די פקדית יתכון:
ythkwn pqdyth dy thpqdtha kkl lhwn wthebdwn qdmykwn yy wymsrnwn
Yahweh will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to all the commandment which I have commanded you.

תקיפו ואלימו לא תדחלון ולא תתברון מקדמיהון ארי יי אלהך הוא דמדבר קדמך לא ישבקנך ולא ירטשנך:
yrTshnk wla yshbqnk la qdmk dmdbr hwa alhk yy ary mqdmyhwn ththbrwn wla thdkhlwn la walymw thqypw
Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.”

וקרא משה ליהושע ואמר ליה לעיני כל ישראל תקף ואלים ארי את תעול עם עמא הדין לארעא די קיים יי לאבהתהון למתן להון ואת תחסננה יתהון:
ythhwn thkhsnnh wath lhwn lmthn labhthhwn yy qyym dy larea hdyn ema em thewl ath ary walym thqp yshral kl leyny lyh wamr lyhwshe mshh wqra
Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which Yahweh has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.

ויי הוא דמדבר קדמך מימריה יהי בסעדך לא ישבקנך ולא ירחקנך לא תדחל ולא תתבר:
ththbr wla thdkhl la yrkhqnk wla yshbqnk la bsedk yhy mymryh qdmk dmdbr hwa wyy
Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.”

וכתב משה ית אוריתא הדא ויהבה לכהניא בני לוי דנטלין ית ארון קימא דיי ולכל סבי ישראל:
yshral sby wlkl dyy qyma arwn yth dnTlyn lwy bny lkhnya wyhbh hda awrytha yth mshh wkthb
Moses wrote this law and delivered it to the priests the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and to all the elders of Israel.

ופקיד משה יתהון למימר מסוף שבע שנין בזמן שתא דשמטתא בחגא דמטליא:
dmTlya bkhga dshmTtha shtha bzmn shnyn shbe mswp lmymr ythhwn mshh wpqyd
Moses commanded them, saying, “At the end of every seven years, in the set time of the year of release, in the feast of booths,

במיתי כל ישראל לאתחזאה קדם יי אלהך באתרא די יתרעי תקרי ית אוריתא הדא קדם כל ישראל ותשמענון:
wthshmenwn yshral kl qdm hda awrytha yth thqry ythrey dy bathra alhk yy qdm lathkhzah yshral kl bmythy
when all Israel has come to appear before Yahweh your God in the place which he will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

כנוש ית עמא גבריא ונשיא וטפלא וגיורך די בקרויך בדיל דישמעון ובדיל דילפון וידחלון מקדם יי אלהכון ויטרון למעבד ית כל פתגמי אוריתא הדא:
hda awrytha pthgmy kl yth lmebd wyTrwn alhkwn yy mqdm wydkhlwn dylpwn wbdyl dyshmewn bdyl bqrwyk dy wgywrk wTpla wnshya gbrya ema yth knwsh
Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and the foreigners who are within your gates, that they may hear, learn, fear Yahweh your God, and observe to do all the words of this law,

ובניהון די לא ידעון ישמעון וילפון למדחל ית יי אלהכון כל יומיא די אתון קימין על ארעא די אתון עברין ית ירדנא תמן למירתה:
lmyrthh thmn yrdna yth ebryn athwn dy area el qymyn athwn dy ywmya kl alhkwn yy yth lmdkhl wylpwn yshmewn ydewn la dy wbnyhwn
and that their children, who have not known, may hear and learn to fear Yahweh your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over the Jordan to possess it.”

ואמר יי למשה הא קריבו יומיך לממת קרא ית יהושע ואתעתדו במשכן זמנא ואפקדניה ואזל משה ויהושע ואתעתדו במשכן זמנא:
zmna bmshkn wathethdw wyhwshe mshh wazl wapqdnyh zmna bmshkn wathethdw yhwshe yth qra lmmth ywmyk qrybw ha lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, your days approach that you must die. Call Joshua, and present yourselves in the Tent of Meeting, that I may commission him.” Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the Tent of Meeting.

ואתגלי יי במשכנא בעמודא דעננא וקם עמודא דעננא על תרע משכנא:
mshkna thre el denna emwda wqm denna bemwda bmshkna yy wathgly
Yahweh appeared in the Tent in a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud stood over the Tent’s door.

ואמר יי למשה הא את שכב עם אבהתך ויקום עמא הדין ויטעי בתר טעות עממי ארעא די הוא על תמן ביניהון וישבקון דחלתי וישנון ית קימי די גזרית עמהון:
emhwn gzryth dy qymy yth wyshnwn dkhlthy wyshbqwn bynyhwn thmn el hwa dy area emmy Tewth bthr wyTey hdyn ema wyqwm abhthk em shkb ath ha lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land where they go to be among them, and will forsake me and break my covenant which I have made with them.

ויתקוף רגזי בהון ביומא ההוא וארחקנון ואסלק שכנתי מנהון ויהון למבז ויערען יתהון בישן סגיאן ועקן ויימר ביומא ההוא הלא מדלית שכינת אלהי ביני ערעוני בישיא האלין:
halyn byshya erewny byny alhy shkynth mdlyth hla hhwa bywma wyymr weqn sgyan byshn ythhwn wyeren lmbz wyhwn mnhwn shknthy waslq warkhqnwn hhwa bywma bhwn rgzy wythqwp
Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’

ואנא סלקא אסלק שכנתי מנהון ביומא ההוא על כל בישא די עבדו ארי אתפניו לטעות עממיא:
emmya lTewth athpnyw ary ebdw dy bysha kl el hhwa bywma mnhwn shknthy aslq slqa wana
I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other gods.

וכען כתיבו לכון ית תשבחתא הדא ואלפה ית בני ישראל שויה בפמהון בדיל דתהי קדמי תשבחתא הדא לסהיד בבני ישראל:
yshral bbny lshyd hda thshbkhtha qdmy dthhy bdyl bpmhwn shwyh yshral bny yth walph hda thshbkhtha yth lkwn kthybw wken
“Now therefore write this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.

ארי אעלנון לארעא די קימית לאבהתהון עבדא חלב ודבש וייכלון וישבעון ויתפנקון ויתפנון בתר טעות עממיא ויפלחנון וירגזון קדמי וישנון ית קימי:
qymy yth wyshnwn qdmy wyrgzwn wyplkhnwn emmya Tewth bthr wythpnwn wythpnqwn wyshbewn wyyklwn wdbsh khlb ebda labhthhwn qymyth dy larea aelnwn ary
For when I have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they have eaten and filled themselves, and grown fat, then they will turn to other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.

ויהי ארי יערען יתיה בישן סגיאן ועקן ותתב תשבחתא הדא קדמוהי לסהיד ארי לא תתנשי מפום בניהון ארי גלי קדמי ית יצרהון די אנון עבדין יומא דין עד לא אעלנון לארעא די קימית:
qymyth dy larea aelnwn la ed dyn ywma ebdyn anwn dy ytsrhwn yth qdmy gly ary bnyhwn mpwm ththnshy la ary lshyd qdmwhy hda thshbkhtha wththb weqn sgyan byshn ythyh yeren ary wyhy
It will happen, when many evils and troubles have come on them, that this song will testify before them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten out of the mouths of their descendants; for I know their ways and what they are doing today, before I have brought them into the land which I promised them.”

וכתב משה ית תושבחתא הדא ביומא ההוא ואלפנה לבני ישראל:
yshral lbny walpnh hhwa bywma hda thwshbkhtha yth mshh wkthb
So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it to the children of Israel.

ופקיד ית יהושע בר נון ואמר תקף ואלים ארי את תעל ית בני ישראל לארעא די קימית להון ומימרי יהי בסעדך:
bsedk yhy wmymry lhwn qymyth dy larea yshral bny yth thel ath ary walym thqp wamr nwn br yhwshe yth wpqyd
He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and courageous; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore to them. I will be with you.”

והוה כד שצי משה למכתב ית פתגמי אוריתא הדא על ספרא עד דשלימו:
dshlymw ed spra el hda awrytha pthgmy yth lmkthb mshh shtsy kd whwh
When Moses had finished writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
25
ופקיד משה ית לואי נטלי ארון קימא דיי למימר:
lmymr dyy qyma arwn nTly lway yth mshh wpqyd
Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, saying,

סיבו ית ספרא דאוריתא הדין ותשוון יתיה מסטר ארונא קימא דיי אלהכון ויהי תמן בך לסהיד:
lshyd bk thmn wyhy alhkwn dyy qyma arwna msTr ythyh wthshwwn hdyn dawrytha spra yth sybw
“Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of Yahweh your God’s covenant, that it may be there for a witness against you.
27
ארי אנא ידענא ית סרבנותך וית קדלך דקשיא הא בעד אנא קים עמכון יומא דין מסרבין הויתון קדם יי ואף ארי בתר דאמות:
damwth bthr ary wap yy qdm hwythwn msrbyn dyn ywma emkwn qym ana bed ha dqshya qdlk wyth srbnwthk yth ydena ana ary
For I know your rebellion and your stiff neck. Behold, while I am yet alive with you today, you have been rebellious against Yahweh. How much more after my death?

כנישו לותי ית כל סבי שבטיכון וסרכיכון ואמלל קדמיהון ית פתגמיא האלין ואסהד בהון ית שמיא וית ארעא:
area wyth shmya yth bhwn washd halyn pthgmya yth qdmyhwn wamll wsrkykwn shbTykwn sby kl yth lwthy knyshw
Assemble to me all the elders of your tribes and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to witness against them.

ארי ידענא בתר דאמות ארי חבלא תחבלון ותסטון מן ארחא די פקדית יתכון ותערע יתכון בשתא בסוף יומיא ארי תעבדון ית דביש קדם יי לארגזא קדמוהי בעובדי ידיכון:
ydykwn bewbdy qdmwhy largza yy qdm dbysh yth thebdwn ary ywmya bswp bshtha ythkwn wthere ythkwn pqdyth dy arkha mn wthsTwn thkhblwn khbla ary damwth bthr ydena ary
For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn away from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will happen to you in the latter days, because you will do that which is evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.”
