ואתפנינא ונטלנא למדברא ארח ימא דסוף כמא די מליל יי עמי ואקפנא ית טורא דשעיר יומין סגיאין:
sgyayn ywmyn dsheyr Twra yth waqpna emy yy mlyl dy kma dswp yma arkh lmdbra wnTlna wathpnyna
Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea, as Yahweh spoke to me; and we encircled Mount Seir many days.

סגי לכון דאקפתון ית טורא הדין אתפניו לכון צפונא:
tspwna lkwn athpnyw hdyn Twra yth daqpthwn lkwn sgy
“You have encircled this mountain long enough. Turn northward.

וית עמא פקד למימר אתון עברין בתחום אחוכון בני עשו דיתבין בשעיר וידחלון מנכון ותסתמרון לחדא:
lkhda wthsthmrwn mnkwn wydkhlwn bsheyr dythbyn eshw bny akhwkwn bthkhwm ebryn athwn lmymr pqd ema wyth
Command the people, saying, ‘You are to pass through the border of your brothers, the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. Therefore be careful.

לא תתגרון בהון ארי לא אתן לכון מארעהון עד מדרך פרסת רגלא ארי ירתא לעשו יהבית ית טורא דשעיר:
dsheyr Twra yth yhbyth leshw yrtha ary rgla prsth mdrk ed marehwn lkwn athn la ary bhwn ththgrwn la
Don’t contend with them; for I will not give you any of their land, no, not so much as for the sole of the foot to tread on, because I have given Mount Seir to Esau for a possession.

עבורא תזבנון מנהון בכספא ותיכלון ואף מיא תכרון מנהון בכספא ותשתון:
wthshthwn bkspa mnhwn thkrwn mya wap wthyklwn bkspa mnhwn thzbnwn ebwra
You shall purchase food from them for money, that you may eat. You shall also buy water from them for money, that you may drink.’”

ארי יי אלהך ברכך בכל עבד ידך ספק לך צרכך במהכך למדברא רבא הדין דנן ארבעין שנין מימרא דיי אלהך בסעדך לא מנעתא מדעם:
mdem mnetha la bsedk alhk dyy mymra shnyn arbeyn dnn hdyn rba lmdbra bmhkk tsrkk lk spq ydk ebd bkl brkk alhk yy ary
For Yahweh your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has known your walking through this great wilderness. These forty years, Yahweh your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.

ועברנא מקדם אחונא בני עשו דיתבין בשעיר מארח מישרא מאילת ומעציון גבר ואתפנינא ועברנא ארח מדברא דמואב:
dmwab mdbra arkh webrna wathpnyna gbr wmetsywn maylth myshra markh bsheyr dythbyn eshw bny akhwna mqdm webrna
So we passed by from our brothers, the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir, from the way of the Arabah from Elath and from Ezion Geber. We turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.

ואמר יי לי לא תצור על מואבאי ולא תתגרי למעבד עמהון קרב ארי לא אתן לך מארעיה ירתא ארי לבני לוט יהבית ית לחית ירתא:
yrtha lkhyth yth yhbyth lwT lbny ary yrtha mareyh lk athn la ary qrb emhwn lmebd ththgry wla mwabay el thtswr la ly yy wamr
Yahweh said to me, “Don’t bother Moab, neither contend with them in battle; for I will not give you any of his land for a possession, because I have given Ar to the children of Lot for a possession.”

אימתני מלקדמין יתיבו בה עם רב וסגי ותקיף כגבריא:
kgbrya wthqyp wsgy rb em bh ythybw mlqdmyn aymthny
(The Emim lived there before, a great and numerous people, and tall as the Anakim.

גבראי מתחשבין אף אנון כגבראי ומואבאי יקרן להון אימתני:
aymthny lhwn yqrn wmwabay kgbray anwn ap mthkhshbyn gbray
These also are considered to be Rephaim, as the Anakim; but the Moabites call them Emim.

ובשעיר יתיבו חראי מלקדמין ובני עשו תרכנון ושצינון מקדמיהון ויתיבו באתריהון כמא די עבד ישראל לארעא ירתתיה דיהב יי להון:
lhwn yy dyhb yrththyh larea yshral ebd dy kma bathryhwn wythybw mqdmyhwn wshtsynwn thrknwn eshw wbny mlqdmyn khray ythybw wbsheyr
The Horites also lived in Seir in the past, but the children of Esau succeeded them. They destroyed them from before them, and lived in their place, as Israel did to the land of his possession, which Yahweh gave to them.)

כען קומו ועברו לכון ית נחלא דזרד ועברנא ית נחלא דזרד:
dzrd nkhla yth webrna dzrd nkhla yth lkwn webrw qwmw ken
“Now rise up and cross over the brook Zered.” We went over the brook Zered.

ויומיא די הלכנא מרקם גיאה עד די עברנא ית נחלא דזרד תלתין ותמני שנין עד דסף כל דרא גברי מגיחי קרבא מגו משריתא כמא די קיים יי להון:
lhwn yy qyym dy kma mshrytha mgw qrba mgykhy gbry dra kl dsp ed shnyn wthmny thlthyn dzrd nkhla yth ebrna dy ed gyah mrqm hlkna dy wywmya
The days in which we came from Kadesh Barnea until we had come over the brook Zered were thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of war were consumed from the middle of the camp, as Yahweh swore to them.

ואף מחא מן קדם יי הות בהון לשציותהון מגו משריתא עד דשלימו:
dshlymw ed mshrytha mgw lshtsywthhwn bhwn hwth yy qdm mn mkha wap
Moreover Yahweh’s hand was against them, to destroy them from the middle of the camp, until they were consumed.

והוה כד שלימו כל גברי מגיחי קרבא לממת מגו עמא:
ema mgw lmmth qrba mgykhy gbry kl shlymw kd whwh
So, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,

את עבר יומא דין ית תחום מואב ית לחית:
lkhyth yth mwab thkhwm yth dyn ywma ebr ath
“You are to pass over Ar, the border of Moab, today.
19
ותקרב לקבל בני עמון לא תצור עליהון ולא תתגרי למעבד עמהון קרב ארי לא אתן מארעא בני עמון לך ירתא ארי לבני לוט יהבתה ירתא:
yrtha yhbthh lwT lbny ary yrtha lk emwn bny marea athn la ary qrb emhwn lmebd ththgry wla elyhwn thtswr la emwn bny lqbl wthqrb
When you come near the border of the children of Ammon, don’t bother them, nor contend with them; for I will not give you any of the land of the children of Ammon for a possession, because I have given it to the children of Lot for a possession.”

ארעא גבריא מתחשבא אף היא גבראי יתיבו בה מלקדמין ועמונאי קרן להון חשבני:
khshbny lhwn qrn wemwnay mlqdmyn bh ythybw gbray hya ap mthkhshba gbrya area
(That also is considered a land of Rephaim. Rephaim lived there in the past, but the Ammonites call them Zamzummim,

עם רב וסגי ותקיף כגבריא ושצנון יי מקדמיהון ותרכנון ויתיבו באתריהון:
bathryhwn wythybw wthrknwn mqdmyhwn yy wshtsnwn kgbrya wthqyp wsgy rb em
a great people, many, and tall, as the Anakim; but Yahweh destroyed them from before Israel, and they succeeded them, and lived in their place,

כמא די עבד לבני עשו דיתבין בשעיר די שצי ית חוראי מקדמיהון ותרכנון ויתיבו באתריהון עד יומא הדין:
hdyn ywma ed bathryhwn wythybw wthrknwn mqdmyhwn khwray yth shtsy dy bsheyr dythbyn eshw lbny ebd dy kma
as he did for the children of Esau who dwell in Seir, when he destroyed the Horites from before them; and they succeeded them, and lived in their place even to this day.

ועואי דיתבין בדפיח עד עזה קפוטקאי דנפקו מקפוטקיא שצנון ויתיבו באתריהון:
bathryhwn wythybw shtsnwn mqpwTqya dnpqw qpwTqay ezh ed bdpykh dythbyn weway
Then the Avvim, who lived in villages as far as Gaza: the Caphtorim, who came out of Caphtor, destroyed them and lived in their place.)

קומו טולו ועברו ית נחלא דארנן חזי דמסרית בידך ית סיחון מלכא דחשבון אמראה וית ארעיה שרי לתרכותיה ואתגרי למעבד עמיה קרבא:
qrba emyh lmebd wathgry lthrkwthyh shry areyh wyth amrah dkhshbwn mlka sykhwn yth bydk dmsryth khzy darnn nkhla yth webrw Twlw qwmw
“Rise up, take your journey, and pass over the valley of the Arnon. Behold, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land; begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.

יומא הדין אשרי למתן זעתך ודחלתך על אפי עממיא די תחות כל שמיא די ישמעון שמעך ויזועון וידחלון מן קדמך:
qdmk mn wydkhlwn wyzwewn shmek yshmewn dy shmya kl thkhwth dy emmya apy el wdkhlthk zethk lmthn ashry hdyn ywma
Today I will begin to put the dread of you and the fear of you on the peoples who are under the whole sky, who shall hear the report of you, and shall tremble and be in anguish because of you.”

ושלחית אזגדין ממדברא דקדמות לות סיחון מלכא דחשבון פתגמי שלמא למימר:
lmymr shlma pthgmy dkhshbwn mlka sykhwn lwth dqdmwth mmdbra azgdyn wshlkhyth
I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,

אעבר בארעך בארחא בארחא אזל לא אסטי ימינא ושמאלא:
wshmala ymyna asTy la azl barkha barkha barek aebr
“Let me pass through your land. I will go along by the highway. I will turn neither to the right hand nor to the left.
28
עבורא בכספא תזבן לי ואיכול ומיא בכספא תתן לי ואשתי לחוד אעבר ברגלי:
brgly aebr lkhwd washthy ly ththn bkspa wmya waykwl ly thzbn bkspa ebwra
You shall sell me food for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink. Just let me pass through on my feet,

כמא די עבדו לי בני עשו דיתבין בשעיר ומואבאי דיתבין בלחית עד דאעבר ית ירדנא לארעא דיי אלהנא יהב לנא:
lna yhb alhna dyy larea yrdna yth daebr ed blkhyth dythbyn wmwabay bsheyr dythbyn eshw bny ly ebdw dy kma
as the children of Esau who dwell in Seir, and the Moabites who dwell in Ar, did to me, until I pass over the Jordan into the land which Yahweh our God gives us.”

ולא אבי סיחן מלכא דחשבון למשבקנא למעבר בתחומיה ארי אקשי יי אלהך ית רוחיה ותקיף ית לביה בדיל לממסריה בידך כיומא הדין:
hdyn kywma bydk lmmsryh bdyl lbyh yth wthqyp rwkhyh yth alhk yy aqshy ary bthkhwmyh lmebr lmshbqna dkhshbwn mlka sykhn aby wla
But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him, for Yahweh your God hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into your hand, as it is today.
31
ואמר יי לי חזי שריתי לממסר קדמך ית סיחן וית ארעיה שרי לתרכותיה למירת ית ארעיה:
areyh yth lmyrth lthrkwthyh shry areyh wyth sykhn yth qdmk lmmsr shrythy khzy ly yy wamr
Yahweh said to me, “Behold, I have begun to deliver up Sihon and his land before you. Begin to possess, that you may inherit his land.”

ונפק סיחן לקדמותנא הוא וכל עמיה לאגחא קרבא ליהץ:
lyhts qrba lagkha emyh wkl hwa lqdmwthna sykhn wnpq
Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Jahaz.
33
ומסריה יי אלהנא קדמנא ומחנא יתיה וית בנוהי וית כל עמיה:
emyh kl wyth bnwhy wyth ythyh wmkhna qdmna alhna yy wmsryh
Yahweh our God delivered him up before us; and we struck him, his sons, and all his people.

וכבשנא ית כל קרווהי בעדנא ההיא וגמרנא ית כל קרוי גבריא ונשיא וטפלא לא אשארנא משזב:
mshzb asharna la wTpla wnshya gbrya qrwy kl yth wgmrna hhya bedna qrwwhy kl yth wkbshna
We took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones. We left no one remaining.
35
לחוד בעירא בזנא לנא ועדי קרויא די כבשנא:
kbshna dy qrwya wedy lna bzna beyra lkhwd
Only the livestock we took for plunder for ourselves, with the plunder of the cities which we had taken.
36
מערער די על כיף נחלא דארנן וקרתא די בנחלא ועד גלעד לא הות קרתא די תקפת מננא ית כלא מסר יי אלהנא קדמנא:
qdmna alhna yy msr kla yth mnna thqpth dy qrtha hwth la gled wed bnkhla dy wqrtha darnn nkhla kyp el dy merer
From Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the valley, even to Gilead, there was not a city too high for us. Yahweh our God delivered up all before us.
37
לחוד לארעא בני עמון לא קרבתא כל כיף נחלא יובקא וקרוי טורא וכל די פקיד יי אלהנא:
alhna yy pqyd dy wkl Twra wqrwy ywbqa nkhla kyp kl qrbtha la emwn bny larea lkhwd
Only to the land of the children of Ammon you didn’t come near: all the banks of the river Jabbok, and the cities of the hill country, and wherever Yahweh our God forbade us.
