1
ארי יהי דין בין גבריא ויתקרבון לדינא וידוננון ויזכון ית זכאה ויחיבון ית חיבא:
khyba yth wykhybwn zkah yth wyzkwn wydwnnwn ldyna wythqrbwn gbrya byn dyn yhy ary
If there is a controversy between men, and they come to judgment and the judges judge them, then they shall justify the righteous and condemn the wicked.

ויהי אם בר חיבא לאלקאה חיבא וירמניה דינא וילקניה קדמוהי כמסת חובתיה במנין:
bmnyn khwbthyh kmsth qdmwhy wylqnyh dyna wyrmnyh khyba lalqah khyba br am wyhy
It shall be, if the wicked man is worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down and to be beaten before his face, according to his wickedness, by number.

ארבעין ילקניה לא יוסף דילמא יוסף לאלקיותיה על אלין מחא רבא ויקל אחוך לעיניך:
leynyk akhwk wyql rba mkha alyn el lalqywthyh ywsp dylma ywsp la ylqnyh arbeyn
He may sentence him to no more than forty stripes. He shall not give more, lest if he should give more and beat him more than that many stripes, then your brother will be degraded in your sight.

לא תחוד פום תורא בדישיה:
bdyshyh thwra pwm thkhwd la
You shall not muzzle the ox when he treads out the grain.

ארי יתבון אחין כחדא וימות חד מנהון ובר לית ליה לא תהי אתת מתנא לברא לגבר אוחרן יבמה יעול עלה ויסבה ליה לאנתו ויבמה:
wybmh lanthw lyh wysbh elh yewl ybmh awkhrn lgbr lbra mthna athth thhy la lyh lyth wbr mnhwn khd wymwth kkhda akhyn ythbwn ary
If brothers dwell together, and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the dead shall not be married outside to a stranger. Her husband’s brother shall go in to her, and take her as his wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her.

ויהי בוכרא די תליד יקום על שמא דאחוהי מתנא ולא יתמחי שמיה מישראל:
myshral shmyh ythmkhy wla mthna dakhwhy shma el yqwm thlyd dy bwkra wyhy
It shall be that the firstborn whom she bears shall succeed in the name of his brother who is dead, that his name not be blotted out of Israel.

ואם לא יצבי גברא למסב ית יבמתיה ותסק יבמתיה לתרע בית דינא לקדם סביא ותימר לא צבי יבמי לאקמא לאחוהי שמא בישראל לא אבי ליבמותי:
lybmwthy aby la byshral shma lakhwhy laqma ybmy tsby la wthymr sbya lqdm dyna byth lthre ybmthyh wthsq ybmthyh yth lmsb gbra ytsby la wam
If the man doesn’t want to take his brother’s wife, then his brother’s wife shall go up to the gate to the elders, and say, “My husband’s brother refuses to raise up to his brother a name in Israel. He will not perform the duty of a husband’s brother to me.”

ויקרון ליה סבי קרתיה וימללון עמיה ויקום ויימר לא רענא למסבה:
lmsbh rena la wyymr wyqwm emyh wymllwn qrthyh sby lyh wyqrwn
Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak to him. If he stands and says, “I don’t want to take her,”

ותתקרב יבמתיה לותיה לקדם סביא ותשרי סיניה מעל רגליה ותרוק באנפוהי ותתב ותימר כדין יתעבד לגבר די לא יבני ית ביתא דאחוהי:
dakhwhy bytha yth ybny la dy lgbr ythebd kdyn wthymr wththb banpwhy wthrwq rglyh mel synyh wthshry sbya lqdm lwthyh ybmthyh wththqrb
then his brother’s wife shall come to him in the presence of the elders, and loose his sandal from off his foot, and spit in his face. She shall answer and say, “So shall it be done to the man who does not build up his brother’s house.”

ויתקרי שמיה בישראל בית שרי סינא:
syna shry byth byshral shmyh wythqry
His name shall be called in Israel, “The house of him who had his sandal removed.”

ארי ינצון גברין כחדא גבר ואחוהי ותתקרב אתת חד לשזבא ית בעלה מיד מחוהי ותושט ידה ותתקף בבית בהתתיה:
bhththyh bbyth wththqp ydh wthwshT mkhwhy myd belh yth lshzba khd athth wththqrb wakhwhy gbr kkhda gbryn yntswn ary
When men strive against each other, and the wife of one draws near to deliver her husband out of the hand of him who strikes him, and puts out her hand, and grabs him by his private parts,

ותקוץ ית ידה לא תחוס עינך:
eynk thkhws la ydh yth wthqwts
then you shall cut off her hand. Your eye shall have no pity.
13
לא יהי לך בכיסך מתקל ומתקל רבתא וזערתא:
wzertha rbtha wmthql mthql bkysk lk yhy la
You shall not have in your bag diverse weights, one heavy and one light.
14
לא יהי לך בביתך מכילא ומכילא רבתא וזערתא:
wzertha rbtha wmkyla mkyla bbythk lk yhy la
You shall not have in your house diverse measures, one large and one small.
15
מתקלין שלמין דקשוט יהון לך מכילן שלמין דקשוט יהון לך בדיל דיורכון יומיך על ארעא דיי אלהך יהב לך:
lk yhb alhk dyy area el ywmyk dywrkwn bdyl lk yhwn dqshwT shlmyn mkyln lk yhwn dqshwT shlmyn mthqlyn
You shall have a perfect and just weight. You shall have a perfect and just measure, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
16
ארי מרחק קדם יי אלהך כל עבד אלין כל עבד שקר:
shqr ebd kl alyn ebd kl alhk yy qdm mrkhq ary
For all who do such things, all who do unrighteously, are an abomination to Yahweh your God.
17
הוי דכיר ית די עבד לך עמלק בארחא במפקכון ממצרים:
mmtsrym bmpqkwn barkha emlq lk ebd dy yth dkyr hwy
Remember what Amalek did to you by the way as you came out of Egypt,

די ערעך בארחא וקטל בך כל דהוו מתאחרין בתרך ואת משלהי ולאי ולא דחיל מן קדם יי:
yy qdm mn dkhyl wla wlay mshlhy wath bthrk mthakhryn dhww kl bk wqTl barkha erek dy
how he met you by the way, and struck the rearmost of you, all who were feeble behind you, when you were faint and weary; and he didn’t fear God.

ויהי כד יניח יי אלהך לך מכל בעלי דבבך מסחור סחור בארעא די יי אלהך יהב לך אחסנא למירתה תמחי ית דוכרנא דעמלק מתחות שמיא לא תתנשי:
ththnshy la shmya mthkhwth demlq dwkrna yth thmkhy lmyrthh akhsna lk yhb alhk yy dy barea skhwr mskhwr dbbk bely mkl lk alhk yy ynykh kd wyhy
Therefore it shall be, when Yahweh your God has given you rest from all your enemies all around, in the land which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it, that you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under the sky. You shall not forget.
