22 verses
1
לא יהי לכהניא לואי כל שבטא דלוי חלק ואחסנא עם ישראל קרבניא דיי ואחסנתיה ייכלון:
yyklwn wakhsnthyh dyy qrbnya yshral em wakhsna khlq dlwy shbTa kl lway lkhnya yhy la
The priests and the Levites—all the tribe of Levi—shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel. They shall eat the offerings of Yahweh made by fire and his portion.

ואחסנא לא יהי ליה בגו אחוהי מתנן דיהב ליה יי אנון אחסנתיה כמא די מליל ליה:
lyh mlyl dy kma akhsnthyh anwn yy lyh dyhb mthnn akhwhy bgw lyh yhy la wakhsna
They shall have no inheritance among their brothers. Yahweh is their inheritance, as he has spoken to them.

ודין יהי דחזי לכהניא מן עמא מן נכסי נכסתא אם תור אם אמר ויתן לכהנא דרועא ולועא וקבתא:
wqbtha wlwea drwea lkhna wythn amr am thwr am nkstha nksy mn ema mn lkhnya dkhzy yhy wdyn
This shall be the priests’ due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep, that they shall give to the priest: the shoulder, the two cheeks, and the inner parts.

ריש עבורך חמרך ומשחך וריש גזא דענך תתן ליה:
lyh ththn denk gza wrysh wmshkhk khmrk ebwrk rysh
You shall give him the first fruits of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep.

ארי ביה יתרעי יי אלהך מכל שבטיך למקם לשמשא בשמא דיי הוא ובנוהי כל יומיא:
ywmya kl wbnwhy hwa dyy bshma lshmsha lmqm shbTyk mkl alhk yy ythrey byh ary
For Yahweh your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in Yahweh’s name, him and his sons forever.

וארי ייתי לואה מחדא מקרויך מכל ישראל די הוא דר תמן וייתי בכל רעות נפשיה לאתרא די יתרעי יי:
yy ythrey dy lathra npshyh rewth bkl wyythy thmn dr hwa dy yshral mkl mqrwyk mkhda lwah yythy wary
If a Levite comes from any of your gates out of all Israel where he lives, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which Yahweh shall choose,

וישמש בשמא דיי אלהיה ככל אחוהי לואי דמשמשין תמן קדם יי:
yy qdm thmn dmshmshyn lway akhwhy kkl alhyh dyy bshma wyshmsh
then he shall minister in the name of Yahweh his God, as all his brothers the Levites do, who stand there before Yahweh.

חלק כחלק ייכלון בר ממטרתא דייתי בשבתא דכן אתקינו אבהתא:
abhtha athqynw dkn bshbtha dyythy mmTrtha br yyklwn kkhlq khlq
They shall have like portions to eat, in addition to that which comes from the sale of his family possessions.

ארי את עלל לארעא דיי אלהך יהב לך לא תילף למעבד כטעות עממיא האנון:
hanwn emmya kTewth lmebd thylp la lk yhb alhk dyy larea ell ath ary
When you have come into the land which Yahweh your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the abominations of those nations.

לא ישתכח בך מעבר בריה וברתיה בנורא קסם קסמין מענן ומנחש וחרש:
wkhrsh wmnkhsh menn qsmyn qsm bnwra wbrthyh bryh mebr bk yshthkkh la
There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who tells fortunes, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,

ורטין רטן ושאל בדין וזכורו ותבע מן מתיא:
mthya mn wthbe wzkwrw bdyn wshal rTn wrTyn
or a charmer, or someone who consults with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

ארי מרחק יי כל דיעבד אלין ובדיל תועבתא האלין יי אלהך מתרך יתהון מקדמך:
mqdmk ythhwn mthrk alhk yy halyn thwebtha wbdyl alyn dyebd kl yy mrkhq ary
For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Because of these abominations, Yahweh your God drives them out from before you.

שלים תהי בדחלתא דיי אלהך:
alhk dyy bdkhltha thhy shlym
You shall be blameless with Yahweh your God.

ארי עממיא האלין די את ירת יתהון מן מענניא ומן קסמיא שמעין ואת לא כן יהב לך יי אלהך:
alhk yy lk yhb kn la wath shmeyn qsmya wmn mennya mn ythhwn yrth ath dy halyn emmya ary
For these nations that you shall dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery and to diviners; but as for you, Yahweh your God has not allowed you so to do.

נביא מבינך מאחיך כותי יקים לך יי אלהך מניה תקבלון:
thqblwn mnyh alhk yy lk yqym kwthy makhyk mbynk nbya
Yahweh your God will raise up to you a prophet from among you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him.
16
ככל די שאלתא מקדם יי אלהך בחרב ביומא דקהלא למימר לא אוסף למשמע ית קל מימרא דיי אלהי וית אשתא רבתא הדא לא אחזי עוד ולא אמות:
amwth wla ewd akhzy la hda rbtha ashtha wyth alhy dyy mymra ql yth lmshme awsp la lmymr dqhla bywma bkhrb alhk yy mqdm shaltha dy kkl
This is according to all that you desired of Yahweh your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, “Let me not hear again Yahweh my God’s voice, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die.”

ואמר יי לי אוטיבו די מלילו:
mlylw dy awTybw ly yy wamr
Yahweh said to me, “They have well said that which they have spoken.
18
נביא אקים להון מגו אחיהון כותך ואתן פתגמי נבואתי בפומיה וימלל עמהון ית כל די אפקדניה:
apqdnyh dy kl yth emhwn wymll bpwmyh nbwathy pthgmy wathn kwthk akhyhwn mgw lhwn aqym nbya
I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.

ויהי גברא די לא יקבל לפתגמי די ימלל בשמי מימרי יתבע מניה:
mnyh ythbe mymry bshmy ymll dy lpthgmy yqbl la dy gbra wyhy
It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

ברם נביא די ירשע למללא פתגמא בשמי ית די לא פקדתיה למללא ודי ימלל בשום טעות עממיא ויתקטל נביא ההוא:
hhwa nbya wythqTl emmya Tewth bshwm ymll wdy lmlla pqdthyh la dy yth bshmy pthgma lmlla yrshe dy nbya brm
But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.”

וארי תימר בלבך אכדין נדע ית פתגמא די לא מלליה יי:
yy mllyh la dy pthgma yth nde akdyn blbk thymr wary
You may say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which Yahweh has not spoken?”

די ימלל נביא בשמא דיי ולא יהי פתגמא ולא יתקים הוא פתגמא די לא מלליה יי ברשע מלליה נביא לא תדחל מניה:
mnyh thdkhl la nbya mllyh brshe yy mllyh la dy pthgma hwa ythqym wla pthgma yhy wla dyy bshma nbya ymll dy
When a prophet speaks in Yahweh’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.
