ית כל פתגמא די אנא מפקד יתכון יתיה תטרון למעבד לא תוספון עלוהי ולא תמנעון מניה:
yth kl pthgma dy ana mpqd ythkwn ythyh thTrwn lmebd la thwspwn elwhy wla thmnewn mnyh
If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you, and he gives you a sign or a wonder,

ארי יקום בינך נביא או חלם חלמא ויתן לך את או מופתא:
ary yqwm bynk nbya aw khlm khlma wythn lk ath aw mwptha
and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, “Let’s go after other gods” (which you have not known) “and let’s serve them,”

וייתי אתא ומופתא די מליל עמך למימר נהך בתר טעות עממיא די לא ידעתנון ונפלחנון:
wyythy atha wmwptha dy mlyl emk lmymr nhk bthr Tewth emmya dy la ydethnwn wnplkhnwn
you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams; for Yahweh your God is testing you, to know whether you love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

לא תקבל לפתגמי נביא ההוא או לחלם חלמא ההוא ארי מנסי יי אלהכון יתכון למדע האיתיכון רחמין ית יי אלהכון בכל לבכון ובכל נפשכון:
la thqbl lpthgmy nbya hhwa aw lkhlm khlma hhwa ary mnsy yy alhkwn ythkwn lmde haythykwn rkhmyn yth yy alhkwn bkl lbkwn wbkl npshkwn
You shall walk after Yahweh your God, fear him, keep his commandments, and obey his voice. You shall serve him, and cling to him.

בתר דחלתא דיי אלהכון תהכון ויתיה תדחלון וית פקודוהי תטרון ולמימריה תקבלון וקדמוהי תפלחון ובדחלתיה תתקרבון:
bthr dkhltha dyy alhkwn thhkwn wythyh thdkhlwn wyth pqwdwhy thTrwn wlmymryh thqblwn wqdmwhy thplkhwn wbdkhlthyh ththqrbwn
That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which Yahweh your God commanded you to walk in. So you shall remove the evil from among you.

ונביא ההוא או חלם חלמא ההוא יתקטל ארי מליל סטיא על יי אלהכון די אפיק יתכון מארעא דמצרים ודפרקך מבית עבדותא לאטעיותך מן ארחא די פקדך יי אלהך למהך בה ותפלי עבד דביש מבינך:
wnbya hhwa aw khlm khlma hhwa ythqTl ary mlyl sTya el yy alhkwn dy apyq ythkwn marea dmtsrym wdprqk mbyth ebdwtha laTeywthk mn arkha dy pqdk yy alhk lmhk bh wthply ebd dbysh mbynk
If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods”—which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;

ארי ימלכנך אחוך בר אמך או ברך או ברתך או אתת קימך או חברך די כנפשך בסתרא למימר נהך ונפלח לטעות עממיא די לא ידעת את ואבהתך:
ary ymlknk akhwk br amk aw brk aw brthk aw athth qymk aw khbrk dy knpshk bsthra lmymr nhk wnplkh lTewth emmya dy la ydeth ath wabhthk
of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth—

מטעות עממיא די בסחרניכון דקריבין לך או דרחיקין מנך מסיפי ארעא ועד סיפי ארעא:
mTewth emmya dy bskhrnykwn dqrybyn lk aw drkhyqyn mnk msypy area wed sypy area
you shall not consent to him nor listen to him; neither shall your eye pity him, neither shall you spare, neither shall you conceal him;

לא תיבי ליה ולא תקבל מניה ולא תחוס עינך עלוהי ולא תרחם ולא תכסי עלוהי:
la thyby lyh wla thqbl mnyh wla thkhws eynk elwhy wla thrkhm wla thksy elwhy
but you shall surely kill him. Your hand shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterwards the hands of all the people.

ארי מקטל תקטלניה ידך תהי ביה בקדמיתא למקטליה וידא דכל עמא בבתריתא:
ary mqTl thqTlnyh ydk thhy byh bqdmytha lmqTlyh wyda dkl ema bbthrytha
You shall stone him to death with stones, because he has sought to draw you away from Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

ותרגמניה באבניא וימות ארי בעא לאטעיותך מדחלתא דיי אלהך די אפקך מארעא דמצרים מבית עבדותא:
wthrgmnyh babnya wymwth ary bea laTeywthk mdkhltha dyy alhk dy apqk marea dmtsrym mbyth ebdwtha
All Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall not do any more wickedness like this among you.

וכל ישראל ישמעון וידחלון ולא יוספון למעבד כפתגמא בישא הדין בינך:
wkl yshral yshmewn wydkhlwn wla ywspwn lmebd kpthgma bysha hdyn bynk
If you hear about one of your cities, which Yahweh your God gives you to dwell there, that

ארי תשמע בחד מקרויך די יי אלהך יהב לך למתב תמן למימר:
ary thshme bkhd mqrwyk dy yy alhk yhb lk lmthb thmn lmymr
certain wicked fellows have gone out from among you and have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods,” which you have not known,

נפקו גברין בני רשעא מבינך ואטעיו ית יתבי קרתהון למימר נהך ונפלח לטעות עממיא די לא ידעתון:
npqw gbryn bny rshea mbynk waTeyw yth ythby qrthhwn lmymr nhk wnplkh lTewth emmya dy la ydethwn
then you shall inquire, investigate, and ask diligently. Behold, if it is true, and the thing certain, that such abomination was done among you,

ותתבע ותבדוק ותשאל יאות והא קשטא כון פתגמא אתעבידא תועבתא הדא בינך:
wththbe wthbdwq wthshal yawth wha qshTa kwn pthgma athebyda thwebtha hda bynk
you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, with all that is therein and its livestock, with the edge of the sword.

ממחא תמחי ית יתבי קרתא ההיא לפתגם דחרב גמר יתה וית כל די בה וית בעירה לפתגם דחרב:
mmkha thmkhy yth ythby qrtha hhya lpthgm dkhrb gmr ythh wyth kl dy bh wyth beyrh lpthgm dkhrb
You shall gather all its plunder into the middle of its street, and shall burn with fire the city, with all of its plunder, to Yahweh your God. It shall be a heap forever. It shall not be built again.

וית כל עדאה תכנוש לגו פתיה ותוקד בנורא ית קרתא וית כל עדאה גמיר קדם יי אלהך ותהי תל חריב לעלם לא תתבני עוד:
wyth kl edah thknwsh lgw pthyh wthwqd bnwra yth qrtha wyth kl edah gmyr qdm yy alhk wthhy thl khryb lelm la ththbny ewd
Nothing of the devoted thing shall cling to your hand, that Yahweh may turn from the fierceness of his anger and show you mercy, and have compassion on you and multiply you, as he has sworn to your fathers,

ולא ידבק בידך מדעם מן חרמא בדיל דיתוב יי מתקוף רוגזיה ויהב לך רחמין וירחם עלך ויסגנך כמא די קיים לאבהתך:
wla ydbq bydk mdem mn khrma bdyl dythwb yy mthqwp rwgzyh wyhb lk rkhmyn wyrkhm elk wysgnk kma dy qyym labhthk
when you listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep all his commandments which I command you today, to do that which is right in Yahweh your God’s eyes.

ארי תקבל למימרא דיי אלהך למטר ית כל פקודוהי די אנא מפקדך יומא דין למעבד דכשר קדם יי אלהך:
