ܦܘܠܘܣ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܛܝܡܬܐܘܣ ܐܚܐ

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܩܘܠܣܘܣ ܐܚܐ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܘܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܫܠܡܐ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܘܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܘܢ
'bwn 'lh' mn wTybwth' emkwn shlm' mshykh' byshwe wmhymn' qdysh' 'kh' bqwlsws d'yth l'ylyn
to the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

ܡܘܕܝܢܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܘܡܨܠܝܢܢ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ
elykwn wmtslynn bklzbn mshykh' yshwe dmrn 'bwhy l'lh' mwdynn
We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

ܗܐ ܡܢ ܕܫܡܥܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܟܘܢ ܕܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܚܘܒܟܘܢ ܕܠܘܬ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܩܕܝܫܐ
qdysh' klhwn dlwth wkhwbkwn mshykh' dbyshwe hymnwthkwn dshmen mn h'
having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have toward all the saints,

ܡܛܠ ܣܒܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܢܛܝܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܒܡܠܬܐ ܕܩܘܫܬܐ ܕܣܒܪܬܐ
dsbrth' dqwshth' bmlth' shmethwn qdym dmn hw bshmy' lkwn dnTyr hw sbr' mTl
because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News,

ܗܝ ܕܐܬܟܪܙܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܦ ܠܟܠܗ ܥܠܡܐ ܘܪܒܝܐ ܘܝܗܒܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܦ ܒܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܝܘܡܐ ܕܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܘܐܫܬܘܕܥܬܘܢ ܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܒܩܘܫܬܐ
bqwshth' d'lh' Tybwthh w'shthwdethwn dshmethwn ywm' mn bkwn d'p 'ykn' p'r' wyhb' wrby' elm' lklh d'p 'yk lkwn d'thkrzth hy
which has come to you; even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

ܐܝܟ ܡܐ ܕܝܠܦܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܦܦܪܐ ܟܢܬܢ ܚܒܝܒܐ ܕܗܘ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܚܠܦܝܟܘܢ ܡܫܡܫܢܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ
dmshykh' mhymn' mshmshn' khlpykwn 'ythwhy dhw khbyb' knthn 'ppr' mn dylpthwn m' 'yk
even as you learned of Epaphras our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf,

ܘܗܘ ܐܘܕܥܢ ܚܘܒܟܘܢ ܕܒܪܘܚܐ

who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.

ܡܛܠܗܢܐ ܐܦ ܚܢܢ ܡܢ ܝܘܡܐ ܕܫܡܥܢ ܠܐ ܫܠܝܢܢ ܠܡܨܠܝܘ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܘܠܡܫܐܠ ܕܬܬܡܠܘܢ ܝܕܥܬܐ ܕܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܒܟܠ ܚܟܡܐ ܘܒܟܠ ܣܘܟܠ ܕܪܘܚ

For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

ܕܬܗܠܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܙܕܩ ܘܬܫܦܪܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܒܟܠ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܛܒܝܢ ܘܬܬܠܘܢ ܦܐܪܐ ܘܬܪܒܘܢ ܒܝܕܥܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ
d'lh' bydeth' wthrbwn p'r' wththlwn Tbyn ebdyn bkl l'lh' wthshprwn dzdq 'yk dthhlkwn
that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

ܘܒܟܠ ܚܝܠ ܬܬܚܝܠܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܪܒܘܬܐ ܕܫܘܒܚܗ ܒܟܠ ܡܣܝܒܪܢܘ ܘܒܡܓܪܬ ܪܘܚ ܘܒܚܕܘܬܐ
wbkhdwth' rwkh wbmgrth msybrnw bkl dshwbkhh rbwth' 'yk ththkhylwn khyl wbkl
strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy;

ܬܘܕܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܐ ܕܐܫܘܝܢ ܠܡܢܬܐ ܕܝܪܬܘܬܐ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ ܒܢܘܗܪܐ
bnwhr' dqdysh' dyrthwth' lmnth' d'shwyn 'b' l'lh' thwdwn
giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;

ܘܦܪܩܢ ܡܢ ܫܘܠܛܢܗ ܕܚܫܘܟܐ ܘܐܝܬܝܢ ܠܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܒܪܗ ܚܒܝܒܐ

who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love;

ܗܘ ܕܒܗ ܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܦܘܪܩܢܐ ܘܫܘܒܩܢܐ ܕܚܛܗܐ

in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins;

ܗܘ ܕܗܘܝܘ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܠܐ ܡܬܚܙܐ ܘܒܘܟܪܐ ܕܟܠܗܝܢ ܒܪܝܬܐ
bryth' dklhyn wbwkr' mthkhz' dl' d'lh' dmwth' dhwyw hw
who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

ܘܒܗ ܐܬܒܪܝ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܘܒܐܪܥܐ ܟܠ ܕܡܬܚܙܐ ܘܟܠ ܕܠܐ ܡܬܚܙܐ ܐܢ ܡܘܬܒܐ ܘܐܢ ܡܪܘܬܐ ܘܐܢ ܐܪܟܘܣ ܘܐܢ ܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܒܐܝܕܗ ܘܒܗ ܐܬܒܪܝ

For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.

ܘܗܘܝܘ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܟܠ ܘܟܠܡܕܡ ܒܗ ܩܐܡ

He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

ܘܗܘܝܘ ܪܫܐ ܕܦܓܪܐ ܕܥܕܬܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܪܫܐ ܘܒܘܟܪܐ ܕܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܩܕܡܝ ܒܟܠ
bkl qdmy dnhw' myth' byth dmn wbwkr' rsh' d'ythwhy dedth' dpgr' rsh' whwyw
He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

ܕܒܗ ܗܘ ܨܒܐ ܟܠܗ ܡܘܠܝܐ ܠܡܥܡܪ
lmemr mwly' klh tsb' hw dbh
For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him;
20
ܘܒܐܝܕܗ ܠܡܪܥܝܘ ܠܗ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܘܫܝܢ ܒܕܡܐ ܕܙܩܝܦܗ ܒܐܝܕܘܗܝ ܐܢ ܕܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܐܢ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ
dbshmy' w'n db're' 'n b'ydwhy dzqyph bdm' wshyn klmdm lh lmreyw wb'ydh
and through him to reconcile all things to himself, by him, whether things on the earth, or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.

ܐܦ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܢܘܟܪܝܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܘܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܒܪܥܝܢܝܟܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܥܒܕܝܟܘܢ ܒܝܫܐ ܫܝܢܟܘܢ ܗܫܐ
hsh' shynkwn bysh' ebdykwn mTl breynykwn wbeldbb' hwythwn nwkry' qdym dmn lkwn 'p
You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil deeds,

ܒܦܓܪܐ ܕܒܣܪܗ ܘܒܡܘܬܗ ܕܢܩܝܡܟܘܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܩܕܝܫܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܘܡ ܘܕܠܐ ܪܫܝܢ
rshyn wdl' mwm dl' qdyshyn qdmwhy dnqymkwn wbmwthh dbsrh bpgr'
yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without defect and blameless before him,

ܐܢ ܬܩܘܘܢ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܟܘܢ ܟܕ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܫܬܐܣܬܟܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܡܬܬܙܝܥܝܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܣܒܪܐ ܕܐܘܢܓܠܝܘܢ ܗܘ ܕܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܕܐܬܟܪܙ ܒܟܠܗ ܒܪܝܬܐ ܕܬܚܝܬ ܫܡܝܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܢܐ ܦܘܠܘܣ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܫܡܫܢܗ
mshmshnh hwyth pwlws d'n' hw shmy' dthkhyth bryth' bklh d'thkrz dshmethwn hw d'wnglywn sbr' mn mththzyeythwn wl' shth'sthkwn shryr' kd bhymnwthkwn thqwwn 'n
if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven; of which I, Paul, was made a servant.

ܘܚܕܐ ܐܢܐ ܒܚܫܐ ܕܥܠ ܐܦܝܟܘܢ ܘܡܡܠܐ ܐܢܐ ܚܣܝܪܘܬܐ ܕܐܘܠܨܢܘܗܝ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܒܣܪܝ ܚܠܦ ܦܓܪܗ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܥܕܬܐ
edth' d'ythwhy pgrh khlp bbsry dmshykh' d'wltsnwhy khsyrwth' 'n' wmml' 'pykwn del bkhsh' 'n' wkhd'
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly;

ܗܝ ܕܐܢܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܫܡܫܢܗ ܐܝܟ ܡܕܒܪܢܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܬܝܗܒܬ ܠܝ ܒܟܘܢ ܕܐܫܡܠܐ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ

of which I was made a servant, according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you, to fulfill the word of God,

ܐܪܙܐ ܗܘ ܕܡܟܣܝ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܥܠܡܐ ܘܡܢ ܕܪܐ ܗܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܬܓܠܝ ܠܩܕܝܫܘܗܝ
lqdyshwhy 'thgly dyn hsh' dr' wmn elm' mn hw' dmksy hw 'rz'
the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints,

ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܨܒܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܢܘܕܥ ܡܢܘ ܥܘܬܪܐ ܕܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܐܪܙܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܥܡܡܐ ܕܗܘܝܘ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܒܟܘܢ ܣܒܪܐ ܕܫܘܒܚܢ

to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;

ܗܘ ܕܚܢܢ ܡܟܪܙܝܢܢ ܘܡܠܦܝܢܢ ܘܡܣܟܠܝܢܢ ܠܟܠ ܒܪܢܫ ܒܟܠ ܚܟܡܐ ܕܢܩܝܡ ܠܟܠ ܒܪܢܫ ܟܕ ܓܡܝܪ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ

whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus;
