וי דשלן שלוא בציון ומתרחצין על כרכא דשומרון מקימין שום בניהון כשום בני עממיא וכל דמן דיסתמכון עליהון בית ישראל:
yshral byth elyhwn dysthmkwn dmn wkl emmya bny kshwm bnyhwn shwm mqymyn dshwmrwn krka el wmthrkhtsyn btsywn shlwa dshln wy
Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who are secure on the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!

עברו לכלנה וחזו ואזילו מתמן לחמת רבה וחותו לגת דפלשתאי דטבין מן מלכותא האלין אם סגי תחומהון מתחומכון:
mthkhwmkwn thkhwmhwn sgy am halyn mlkwtha mn dTbyn dplshthay lgth wkhwthw rbh lkhmth mthmn wazylw wkhzw lklnh ebrw
Go to Calneh, and see. From there go to Hamath the great. Then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are they better than these kingdoms? Is their border greater than your border?

אנון מרחקין יום ביש ואתון מקרבין בבית כנשתכון חטוף:
khTwp knshthkwn bbyth mqrbyn wathwn bysh ywm mrkhqyn anwn
Alas for you who put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near,

דשכבין על ערסן דמכבשן בשן דפיל ועומקין על ערסיהון ואכלין פטימין מענא ועגלין מגו רבקא:
rbqa mgw weglyn mena pTymyn waklyn ersyhwn el wewmqyn dpyl bshn dmkbshn ersn el dshkbyn
who lie on beds of ivory, and stretch themselves on their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the middle of the stall,

דמנגן על פום נבלא כדויד אתקינו להון מני זמרא:
zmra mny lhwn athqynw kdwyd nbla pwm el dmngn
who strum on the strings of a harp, who invent for themselves instruments of music, like David;

דשתן בפילון דכסף חמר וריש משחין טבין מתמשחין ולא כאב להון על תבריה דיוסף:
dywsp thbryh el lhwn kab wla mthmshkhyn Tbyn mshkhyn wrysh khmr dksp bpylwn dshthn
who drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the best oils, but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

בכן כען יגלן בריש גלן ויעדון מנהון מרזחין ומכיכין:
wmkykyn mrzkhyn mnhwn wyedwn gln brysh ygln ken bkn
Therefore they will now go captive with the first who go captive. The feasting and lounging will end.

קיים יי אלהים במימריה אמר יי אלהא דישראל מנבל אנא ית בית מקדשא דבותיה דיעקב וברניתיה רחקית ואמסר קרתא ומלאה:
wmlah qrtha wamsr rkhqyth wbrnythyh dyeqb dbwthyh mqdsha byth yth ana mnbl dyshral alha yy amr bmymryh alhym yy qyym
“The Lord Yahweh has sworn by himself,” says Yahweh, the God of Armies: “I abhor the pride of Jacob, and detest his fortresses. Therefore I will deliver up the city with all that is in it.

ויהי אם ישתארון עסרא גברין בביתא חד וימותון:
wymwthwn khd bbytha gbryn esra yshtharwn am wyhy
It will happen that if ten men remain in one house, they will die.

ויטלניה קריביה מיקידא לאפקא גרמיא מן ביתא ויימר לדי בשדא דביתא העוד כען עמך ויימר ספו ויימר סלק ארי כד הוו קימין לא הוו מצלן בשמא דיי:
dyy bshma mtsln hww la qymyn hww kd ary slq wyymr spw wyymr emk ken hewd dbytha bshda ldy wyymr bytha mn grmya lapqa myqyda qrybyh wyTlnyh
“When a man’s relative carries him, even he who burns him, to bring bodies out of the house, and asks him who is in the innermost parts of the house, ‘Is there yet any with you?’ And he says, ‘No;’ then he will say, ‘Hush! Indeed we must not mention Yahweh’s name.’

ארי הא יי מפקיד וימחי מלכו רבא מחא תקיפא ומלכו זעירא מחא חלשא:
khlsha mkha zeyra wmlkw thqypa mkha rba mlkw wymkhy mpqyd yy ha ary
“For, behold, Yahweh commands, and the great house will be smashed to pieces, and the little house into bits.

הירהטון בכיפא סוסון אם יתרדי בתוריא ארי הפכתון לריש חוין בישין דינא ופרי זכותא לגידין:
lgydyn zkwtha wpry dyna byshyn khwyn lrysh hpkthwn ary bthwrya ythrdy am swswn bkypa hyrhTwn
Do horses run on the rocky crags? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison, and the fruit of righteousness into bitterness,

דחדון ללא מדעם דאמרין הלא בתוקפנא קנינא לנא נכסין:
nksyn lna qnyna bthwqpna hla damryn mdem lla dkhdwn
you who rejoice in a thing of nothing, who say, ‘Haven’t we taken for ourselves horns by our own strength?’

ארי הא אנא מקים עליכון בית ישראל אמר יי אלהים צבאות עם וידחקון יתכון ממעלנא דחמת עד נחלא דמישרא:
dmyshra nkhla ed dkhmth mmelna ythkwn wydkhqwn em tsbawth alhym yy amr yshral byth elykwn mqym ana ha ary
For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, house of Israel,” says Yahweh, the God of Armies; “and they will afflict you from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of the Arabah.”
