ܫܡܥܘ ܡܠܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܥܠ ܟܠܗ̇ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܕܐܣܩܬ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܐܡܪܬ
w'mrth dmtsryn 're' mn d'sqth shrbth' klh el 'ysryl bny elykwn mry' d'mr hd' mlth' shmew
Hear this word that Yahweh has spoken against you, children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying:

ܕܠܟܘܢ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܝܕܥܬ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܘܡܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܫܪ̈ܒܬܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܦܩܘܕ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܚ̈ܘܒܝܟܘܢ
khwbykwn klhwn elykwn 'pqwd hn' mTl d're' shrbth' klhyn wmn emm' klhwn mn ydeth blkhwd dlkwn
“I have only chosen you of all the families of the earth. Therefore I will punish you for all of your sins.”

ܕܠܡܐ ܐܙܠܝܢ ܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܐܬܘܥܕܘ
'thwedw 'n 'l' 'kkhd' thryn 'zlyn dlm'
Do two walk together, unless they have agreed?

ܕܠܡܐ ܢܗܡ ܐܪܝܐ ܒܥܒܐ ܡܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܓܙܪܐ ܐܘ ܕܠܡܐ ܡܪܝܡ ܩܠܗ ܐܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܡܪܒܘܥܝܬܗ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܬܒܪ

Will a lion roar in the thicket, when he has no prey? Does a young lion cry out of his den, if he has caught nothing?

ܕܠܡܐ ܢܦܠܐ ܨܦܪܐ ܒܦܚܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܒܠܥܕ ܡܢ ܨ̇ܝܕܐ ܐܘ ܕܠܡܐ ܫܘܪ ܦܚܐ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܐܚܕ

Can a bird fall in a trap on the earth, where no snare is set for him? Does a snare spring up from the ground, when there is nothing to catch?

ܕܠܡܐ ܡܬܩܪܐ ܫܝܦܘܪܐ ܒܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܥܡܐ ܠܐ ܙܐܥ ܐܘ ܕܠܡܐ ܗܘܝܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܒܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܥܒܕ
ebd l' dmry' bmdynth' byshth' hwy' dlm' 'w z'e l' wem' bmdynth' shypwr' mthqr' dlm'
Does the trumpet alarm sound in a city, without the people being afraid? Does evil happen to a city, and Yahweh hasn’t done it?

ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܥܒܕ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܡܕܡ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܓܠܐ ܪܐܙܗ ܠܥܒ̈ܕܘܗܝ ܢܒ̈ܝܐ
nby' lebdwhy r'zh gl' 'n 'l' mdm mrwth' mr' ebd dl' mTl
Surely the Lord Yahweh will do nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.

ܐܪܝܐ ܢܗܡ ܡ̇ܢ ܠܐ ܢܕܚܠ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܡܠܠ ܡ̇ܢ ܠܐ ܢܬܢܒܐ
nthnb' l' mn mll mrwth' mr' ndkhl l' mn nhm 'ry'
The lion has roared. Who will not fear? The Lord Yahweh has spoken. Who can but prophesy?

ܐܫܡܥܘ ܥܠ ܣܚܪ̈ܬܗ̇ ܕܐܫܕܘܕ ܘܥܠ ܣܚܪ̈ܬܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܠܛܘܪܐ ܕܫܡܪܝܢ ܘܚܙܘ ܕܠܘܚܝܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܒܓܘܗ̇ ܘܥܫܘܩܝܐ ܕܒܗ̇
dbh weshwqy' dbgwh sgy'' dlwkhy' wkhzw dshmryn lTwr' klkwn 'thknshw w'mrw dmtsryn d're' skhrthh wel d'shdwd skhrthh el 'shmew
Proclaim in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, “Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria, and see what unrest is in her, and what oppression is among them.”

ܘܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܡܟܣܢܘܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܚܡܠܝܢ ܚܛܘܦܝܐ ܘܒܙܬܐ ܒܣܚܪ̈ܬܗܘܢ
bskhrthhwn wbzth' khTwpy' wkhmlyn mry' 'mr mksnwth' lmebd ydeyn wl'
“Indeed they don’t know to do right,” says Yahweh, “Who hoard plunder and loot in their palaces.”

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܢܚܕܪܝܗ̇ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܘܢܚܘܬ ܡܢܗ̇ ܥܘܫܢܗ̇ ܘܢܬ̈ܒܙܢ ܣܚܪ̈ܬܗ̇
skhrthh wnthbzn ewshnh mnh wnkhwth l're' nkhdryh 'wltsn' mry' 'mr dhkn' mTl
Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “An adversary will overrun the land; and he will pull down your strongholds, and your fortresses will be plundered.”

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܥܕܐ ܪܥܝܐ ܡܢ ܦܘܡܐ ܕܐܪܝܐ ܬܪ̈ܬܝܢ ܟܪ̈ܥܝܢ ܐܘ ܛܪܦܐ ܕܐܕܢܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܬܦܨܘܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܒܫܡܪܝܢ ܒܚܘܛܪܐ ܕܡܢ ܫܠܝ ܘܒܥܡܐ ܕܡܢ ܕܪܡܣܘܩ

Yahweh says: “As the shepherd rescues out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel be rescued who sit in Samaria on the corner of a couch, and on the silken cushions of a bed.”

ܫܡܥܘ ܘܐܣܗܕܘ ܒܒܝܬܐ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ
d'ysryl 'lh' khylthn' mrwth' mr' 'mr dyeqwb bbyth' w'shdw shmew
“Listen, and testify against the house of Jacob,” says the Lord Yahweh, the God of Armies.

ܡܛܘܠ ܕܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܦܩܕ ܐܢܐ ܥܘܠܗ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܐܦܩܘܕ ܥܠ ܡܕܒ̈ܚܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܠ ܘܢܬ̈ܓܕܡܢ ܩܪ̈ܢܬܗܘܢ ܕܡܕܒ̈ܚܐ ܘܢܦ̈ܠܢ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ

“For in the day that I visit the transgressions of Israel on him, I will also visit the altars of Bethel; and the horns of the altar will be cut off, and fall to the ground.
