ܘܗܘܐ ܕܟܕ ܣܠܩܝܢ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܝܘܚܢܢ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ ܒܥܕܢܐ ܕܨܠܘܬܐ ܕܬܫܥ ܫܥܝܢ

Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.

ܘܗܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܚܓܝܪܐ ܕܡܢ ܟܪܣ ܐܡܗ ܫܩܝܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܐܢܫܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܥܕܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܝܬܝܢ ܘܣܝܡܝܢ ܠܗ ܒܬܪܥܐ ܕܗܝܟܠܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܫܦܝܪܐ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܫܐܠ ܙܕܩܬܐ ܡܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܥܐܠܝܢ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ

A certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple.

ܗܢܐ ܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܠܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܠܝܘܚܢܢ ܕܥܐܠܝܢ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ ܒܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܕܢܬܠܘܢ ܠܗ ܙܕܩܬܐ

Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy.

ܘܚܪܘ ܒܗ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܝܘܚܢܢ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܚܘܪ ܒܢ

Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.”

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܚܪ ܒܗܘܢ ܟܕ ܣܒܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܡܣܒ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܡܕܡ

He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܕܗܒܐ ܘܣܐܡܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܝ ܐܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܝ ܝܗܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܨܪܝܐ ܩܘܡ ܗܠܟ
'mr lh shmewn dhb' ws'm' lyth ly 'l' mdm d'yth ly yhb 'n' lk bshmh dyshwe mshykh' ntsry' qwm hlk
But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”

ܘܐܚܕܗ ܒܐܝܕܗ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ ܘܐܩܝܡܗ ܘܒܗ ܒܫܥܬܐ ܫܪ ܪܓܠܘܗܝ ܘܥܩܒܘܗܝ

He took him by the right hand, and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength.

ܘܫܘܪ ܩܡ ܘܗܠܟ ܘܥܠ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ ܟܕ ܡܗܠܟ ܘܡܫܘܪ ܘܡܫܒܚ ܠܐܠܗܐ
wshwr qm whlk wel emhwn lhykl' kd mhlk wmshwr wmshbkh l'lh'
Leaping up, he stood, and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.

ܘܚܙܐܘܗܝ ܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܟܕ ܡܗܠܟ ܘܡܫܒܚ ܠܐܠܗܐ

All the people saw him walking and praising God.

ܘܐܫܬܘܕܥܘ ܕܗܘܝܘ ܗܘ ܚܕܘܪܐ ܕܝܬܒ ܗܘܐ ܟܠܝܘܡ ܘܫܐܠ ܙܕܩܬܐ ܥܠ ܬܪܥܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܫܦܝܪܐ ܘܐܬܡܠܝܘ ܬܡܗܐ ܘܕܘܡܪܐ ܥܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܗܘܐ
w'shthwdew dhwyw hw khdwr' dythb hw' klywm wsh'l zdqth' el thre' dmthqr' shpyr' w'thmlyw thmh' wdwmr' el mdm dhw'
They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

ܘܟܕ ܐܚܝܕ ܗܘܐ ܠܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܠܝܘܚܢܢ ܪܗܛ ܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܟܕ ܬܗܝܪ ܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܠܐܣܛܘܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ

As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

ܘܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܥܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܒܢܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢܐ ܡܬܕܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܗܢܐ ܐܘ ܒܢ ܡܢܐ ܚܝܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܗܘ ܕܒܚܝܠܐ ܕܝܠܢ ܐܘ ܒܫܘܠܛܢܢ ܥܒܕܢ ܗܕܐ ܕܢܗܠܟ ܗܢܐ

When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.

ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܒܩܕܝܫܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܐ ܟܦܪܬܘܢ ܘܫܐܠܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܩܛܘܠܐ ܕܢܬܝܗܒ ܠܟܘܢ
'nthwn dyn bqdysh' wzdyq' kprthwn wsh'lthwn lkwn lgbr' qTwl' dnthyhb lkwn
But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

ܘܠܗܘ ܪܫܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܩܛܠܬܘܢ ܕܠܗ ܐܩܝܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܚܢܢ ܟܠܢ ܣܗܕܘܗܝ

and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses.

ܘܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܗ ܠܗܢܐ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܗܘ ܐܫܪ ܘܐܣܝ ܘܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܒܗ ܝܗܒܬ ܠܗ ܗܕܐ ܚܠܝܡܘܬܐ ܩܕܡ ܟܠܟܘܢ
wbhymnwth' dshmh lhn' dkhzyn 'nthwn wydeyn 'nthwn hw 'shr w'sy whymnwth' dbh yhbth lh hd' khlymwth' qdm klkwn
By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

ܒܪܡ ܗܫܐ ܐܚܝ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܕܒܛܘܥܝܝ ܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܗܕܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܒܕܘ ܪܫܝܟܘܢ

“Now, brothers, I know that you did this in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

ܘܐܠܗܐ ܐܝܟ ܡܕܡ ܕܩܕܡ ܐܟܪܙ ܒܦܘܡ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܢܚܫ ܡܫܝܚܗ ܡܠܝ ܗܟܢܐ

But the things which God announced by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.

ܬܘܒܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܘܐܬܦܢܘ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܢܬܥܛܘܢ ܚܛܗܝܟܘܢ ܘܢܐܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܙܒܢܐ ܕܢܝܚܬܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܦܪܨܘܦܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ

“Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,

ܘܢܫܕܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܛܝܒ ܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ

and that he may send Christ Jesus, who was ordained for you before,

ܕܠܗ ܘܠܐ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܕܢܩܒܠܘܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܡܘܠܝܐ ܕܙܒܢܐ ܕܟܠܗܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܠܠ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܦܘܡܐ ܕܢܒܝܘܗܝ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܕܡܢ ܥܠܡ

whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.

ܡܘܫܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܡܪ ܕܢܒܝܐ ܢܩܝܡ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܐܚܝܟܘܢ ܐܟܘܬܝ ܠܗ ܫܡܥܘ ܒܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܢܡܠܠ ܥܡܟܘܢ

For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.

ܘܬܗܘܐ ܟܠ ܢܦܫܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܠܐ ܬܫܡܥ ܠܢܒܝܐ ܗܘ ܬܐܒܕ ܢܦܫܐ ܗܝ ܡܢ ܥܡܗ
wthhw' kl npsh' 'yd' dl' thshme lnby' hw th'bd npsh' hy mn emh
It will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’

ܘܢܒܝܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܫܡܘܐܝܠ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܒܬܪܗ ܗܘܘ ܡܠܠܘ ܘܐܟܪܙܘ ܥܠ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ
wnby' klhwn mn shmw'yl w'ylyn dmn bthrh hww mllw w'krzw el ywmth' hnwn
Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days.

ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܢܝܗܘܢ ܕܢܒܝܐ ܘܕܕܝܬܩܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܣܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܐܒܗܬܢ ܟܕ ܐܡܪ ܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܕܒܙܪܥܟ ܢܬܒܪܟܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ
'nthwn 'nwn bnyhwn dnby' wddythq' 'yd' dsm 'lh' l'bhthn kd 'mr l'brhm dbzrek nthbrkn klhyn shrbth' d're'
You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘In your offspring will all the families of the earth be blessed.’

ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܐܩܝܡ ܘܫܕܪ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܒܪܗ ܟܕ ܡܒܪܟ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܢ ܬܬܦܢܘܢ ܘܬܬܘܒܘܢ ܡܢ ܒܝܫܬܟܘܢ

God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.”
